2Engineering Multi‑field‑coupled Synergistic Ion Transport System Based on the Heterogeneous Nanofluidic Membrane for High‑Efficient Lithium Extraction显示文摘The global carbon neutrality strategy brings a wave of rechargeable lithium‐ion batteries technique development and induces an ever-growing consumption and demand for lithium(Li).Among all the Li exploitation, extracting Li from spent LIBs would be a strategic and perspective approach, especially with the low energy consumption and eco-friendly membrane separation method. However, current membrane separation systems mainly focus on monotonous membrane design and structure optimization, and rarely further consider the coordination of inherent structure and applied external field, resulting in limited ion transport. Here,we propose a heterogeneous nanofluidic membrane as a platform for coupling multi-external fields(i.e.,lightinduced heat, electrical, and concentration gradient fields)to construct the multi-field-coupled synergistic ion transport system(MSITS)for Li-ion extraction from spent LIBs.The Li flux of the MSITS reaches 367.4 mmol m^(−2)h^(−1),even higher than the sum flux of those applied individual fields, reflecting synergistic enhancement for ion transport of the multi-field-coupled effect.Benefiting from the adaptation of membrane structure and multi-external fields, the proposed system exhibits ultrahigh selectivity with a Li^(+)/Co^(2+)factor of 216,412,outperforming previous reports.MSITS based on nanofluidic membrane proves to be a promising ion transport strategy,as it could accelerate ion transmembrane transport and alleviate the ion concentration polarization effect. This work demonstrated a collaborative system equipped with an optimized membrane for high-efficient Li extraction, providing an expanded strategy to investigate the other membrane-based applications of their common similarities in core concepts.Lin Fu Yuhao Hu Xiangbin Lin Qingchen Wang Linsen Yang Weiwen Xin Shengyang Zhou Yongchao Qian Xiang‑Yu Kong Lei Jiang Liping Wen 2023Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,8:1
3Simulation of a soft-gamma-ray polarimeter on board a microsatellite显示文摘Gamma-ray polarimetry is a new and prospective tool for studying extremely high-energy celestial objects and is of great significance for the field of astrophysics. With the rapid development of microsatellite technology, the advantages of space exploration have become increasingly apparent. Therefore,we simulated a soft-gamma-ray polarimeter for a microsatellite based on the Compton scattering principle. We performed detailed Monte Carlo simulations using monoenergetic gamma-ray linear-polarization sources and Crab-like sources in the energy range of 0.1-10 MeV considering the orbital background. The polarimeter exhibited excellent polarization detection performance. The modulation factor was 0.80±0.01,and the polarization angles were accurate within an error of 0.2°at 200 keV for on-axis incidence. For the Crab-like sources for on-axis incidence, the polarization degrees were consistent with the set values within the error tolerance, the modulation factor was 0.76±0.01,and the minimum detectable polarization reached 2.4%at 3σfor an observation time of10^(6) s.Additionally, the polarimeter exhibited recoil electron tracking, imaging, and powerful background suppression in a large field of view(FoV;∼2πsr).The proposed polarimeter meets the requirements of a space soft-gamma-ray polarization detector and has promising research prospects.Xiang‑Man Liu Shu‑Wen Tang Wei Wang Yu‑Hong Yu Zhi‑Yu Sun Yong‑Jie Zhang Fang Fang Duo Yan Shi‑Tao Wang Xue‑Heng Zhang Shu‑Ya Jin Bi‑Tao Hu 2023Nuclear Science and Techniques2023,34,11:0
4Large area^(3)He tube array detector with modular design for multi‑physics instrument at CSNS显示文摘The multi-physics instrument(MPI)is the first user cooperative instrument at the China Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS).It was designed to explore the structures of complex materials at multiple scales based on the neutron total scattering technique. This imposes the requirements for the detector, including a high detection efficiency to reduce the measurement time and a large solid angle coverage to cover a wide range of momentum transfers. To satisfy these demands,a large-area array of 3He-filled linear position-sensitive detectors(LPSDs)was constructed, each with a diameter of 1 inch and pressure of 20 atm.It uses an orbicular layout of the detector and an eight-pack module design for the arrangement of 3He LPSDs,covering a range of scattering angles from 3°to 170°with a total detector area of approximately 7 m2.The detector works in air, which is separated from the vacuum environment to facilitate installation and maintenance. The characteristics of the MPI detector were investigated through Monte Carlo(MC)simulations using Geant4 and experimental measurements. The results suggest that the detectors are highly efficient in the wavelength range of the MPI,and an efficiency over 25%is achievable for above 0.1 A neutrons.A minimal position resolution of 6.4 mm full width at half maximum(FWHM)along the tube length was achieved at a working voltage of 2200 V,and a deviation below 2 mm between the real and measured positions was attained in the beam experiment. The detector module exhibited good consistency and an excellent counting rate capacity of up to 80 kHz,which satisfied the requirements of experiments with a high event rate.Observations of its operation over the past year have shown that the detector works steadily in sample experiments, which allows the MPI to serve the user program successfully.Lin Zhu Jian‑Rong Zhou Yuan‑Guang Xia Liang Xiao Hong Luo Xiao‑Juan Zhou Wen‑Qin Yang Bei‑Ju Guan Xing‑Fen Jiang Yan‑Feng Wang Hong Xu Hai‑Yun Teng Li‑Xin Zeng Jia‑Jie Li Lei Hu Ke Zhou Yong‑Xiang Qiu Pei‑Xun Shen Jun Xu Li‑Jiang Liao Xiao‑Zhuang Wang Gui‑An Yang Huai‑Chan Chen Ju‑Ping Xu Zhi‑Duo Li Song‑Lin Wang Jian Zhuang Yu‑Bin Zhao Jun‑Rong Zhang Wen Yin Zhi‑Jia Sun Yuan‑Bo Chen 2023Nuclear Science and Techniques2023,34,1:0

6Measurement of Br(n,γ)cross sections up to stellar s-process temperatures at the CSNS Back‑n显示文摘The neutron capture cross sections(n,γ)of bromine were obtained using the time-of-flight technique at the Back-n facility of the China Spallation Neutron Source.Promptγ-rays originating from neutron-induced capture events were detected using four C_(6)D_(6) detectors. The pulse-height weighting technique and double-bunch unfolding method based on Bayesian theory were used in the data analysis. Background deductions, normalization, and corrections were carefully considered to obtain reliable measurement results. The multilevel R-matrix Bayesian code SAMMY was used to extract the resonance parameters in the resolved resonance region(RRR).The average cross sections in the unresolved resonance region(URR)were obtained from 10 to 400 keV.The experimental results were compared with data from several evaluated libraries and previous experi-ments in the RRR and URR.The TALYS code was used to describe the average cross sections in the URR.The astrophysical Maxwell average cross sections(MACSs)of ^(79,81)Br from kT=5 to 100 keV were calculated over a sufficiently wide range of neutron energies. At a thermal energy of kT=30 keV,the MACS value for ^(79)Br 682±68 mb was in good agreement with the KADoNiS v1.0 recommended value.By contrast, the value of 293±29 mb for ^(81)Br was substantially higher than that of the evaluated database and the KADoNiS v1.0 recommended value.Gao‑Le Yang Zhen‑Dong An Wei Jiang Xian‑Kai Li Wei‑Wei Qiu Zheng‑Fa Liao Zi‑Yue Zhuang Xiao‑Ping Zhang Sheng‑Li Chen Chen‑Chen Guo Er‑Xi Xiao Xiao Fang Xin‑Xiang Li Xin‑Rong Hu Bing Jiang Jin‑Cheng Wang Jie Ren Wen Luo Zhi‑Chao Zhu Hao‑Yang Lan Zong‑Wei Cao Xu Ma Ying‑Du Liu Pu‑Sen Wang Yi Yang Ping Su Xian‑Gai Deng Wan‑Bing He Chun‑Wang Ma Yu‑Ting Wang Zhi‑Tao Dai Peng‑Qin He Ren‑Guang Tang Tao Zhou Jing Wang Han Yi Yue Zhang Yong‑Hao Chen Rui‑Rui Fan Ke‑Qing Gao Qiang Li Kang Sun Zhi‑Xin Tan Min‑Hao Gu Han‑Tao Jing Jing‑Yu Tang 2023Nuclear Science and Techniques2023,34,11:0
