1Mesomechanism of steel fiber reinforcement and toughening of reactive powder concrete显示文摘Reactive powder concrete (RPC) is a novel cement-based composite material with ultra-high strength. Embedding a certain amount of short steel fibers in the matrix can improve the RPC’s toughness and overcome the disadvantage of high brittle- ness. In this paper, a number of direct uniaxial tension tests have been carried out with ‘8-shape’ RPC200 specimens. The bond-slip process, mesoscopic structural variation and mechanical characteristics of a fiber pullout of the matrix have been investigated using the real-time SEM loading system and CCD observation tech- niques. The influence of the volume of embedded short steel fibers in matrix on the mesoscopic morphology of attachments on the surface of a pulled individual fiber, the initial cracking force, the ultimate pullout force, interfacial bond strength and the pullout rupture energy have been analyzed. A general formulation relating these quantities to the volume of fibers in matrix has been proposed. The components comprising the interfacial bond strength have been outlined. In addition, the con- tribution that fibers make to enhance and toughen the reactive powder concrete has been discussed. 2Toughness and characterization of reactive powder concrete with ultra-high strength显示文摘A number of three-point bending and fracture tests of 200 MPa-level reactive powder concrete (RPC) with the various fiber contents have been conducted to probe the nature and characteristics of tough- ness of RPC200. The contribution of the embedded fibers to improving the crack-resistant capacity, energy absorption capacity and toughness with various deformation mechanisms has been analyzed. Taking account of that the first-crack deformation, peak-load deformation and their improvement varied with the fiber contents and that the deformation mechanism affected differently the performance at the first crack and the peak load, we took the peak-load deformation of plain RPC200 as the reference de- formation to measure the toughness of fibered RPC200. Two toughness indices T2(n?1)(n) and FT2(n?1)(n) have been formulated based on P-δ responses and P-CMOD responses. The indices quantify the tough- ness of RPC200 with the various deformation mechanisms relative to perfectly elastoplastic materials by setting the toughness level 2(n?1) as the initial reference. It is shown that the toughness index T2(n?1)(n) reflects the function of fibers to improve the toughness of RPC with the deformation throughout specimens, but overestimates the contribution to enhancing the toughness in post-peak periods. It underestimates, on other hands, the contribution to improving the toughness in the period from the first crack to the peak load. In contrast, the toughness index FT2(n?1)(n) properly presents the capability that fibers absorb energy and constrain crack propagation in the matrix when the deformation is con- centrated on the open crack. The proposed index unveils the contribution of fibers to toughening RPC200 both in the period from the first-crack to the peak load and in the period of post peak. This characterization method not only reveals the nature of toughness but also levels the toughness of RPC200. 3Identification and Characterization of a LEA-like Gene, CaMF5,Specifically Expressed in the Anthers of Male-fertile Capsicum annuum显示文摘To improve the understanding of molecular mechanisms of anther and/or pollen development in Chili pepper, in the present study, fulllength cDNA and DNA sequences of the pollen development-related gene CaMF5 were obtained from the anthers of a Capsicum annuum nuclear male-fertile line. Sequence analysis indicated that the full length of CaMF5 was 747 bp, containing a maximum opening reading frame of 447 bp.Amino acid sequence alignment and phylogenetic analysis revealed that CaMF5 shared approximately 37%–77% homology with a series of uncharacterized or hypothetical proteins and late embryogenesis abundant(LEA) proteins from other plants. However, no LEA structural domain was detected in CaMF5, which indicated that it might be a new type of LEA gene. CaMF5 was only expressed in flower buds at stages 7 and 8 and in open flowers of the male-fertile line, whereas it exhibited no expression in any examined organs of the male-sterile line. In addition, CaMF5 showed the highest transcript abundance in the anthers of the male-fertile line, with no expression being detected in any other examined organs, such as the sepals, petals, pistils, roots, stems, or leaves. 4Effective Improvement of the Photovoltaic Performance of Carbon-Based Perovskite Solar Cells by Additional Solvents显示文摘A solvent-assisted methodology has been developed to synthesize CH_3NH_3 PbI_3perovskite absorber layers.It involved the use of a mixed solvent of CH_3NH_3 I,PbI_2,c-butyrolactone,and dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO) followed by the addition of chlorobenzene(CB).The method produced ultra-flat and dense perovskite capping layers atop mesoporous TiO_2 films,enabling a remarkable improvement in the performance of free hole transport material(HTM) carbon electrode-based perovskite solar cells(PSCs).Toluene(TO) was also studied as an additional solvent for comparison.At the annealing temperature of 100 °C,the fabricated HTM-free PSCs based on drop-casting CB demonstrated power conversion efficiency(PCE) of 9.73 %,which is 36 and 71 % higher than those fabricated from the perovskite films using TO or without adding an extra solvent,respectively.The interaction between the PbI_2–DMSO–CH_3NH_3I intermediate phase and the additional solvent was discussed.Furthermore,the influence of the annealing temperature on the absorber film formation,morphology,and crystalline structure was investigated and correlated with the photovoltaic performance.Highly efficient,simple,and stable HTM-free solar cells with a PCE of 11.44 % were prepared utilizing the optimum perovskite absorbers annealed at 120 °C.Chenxi Zhang Yudan Luo Xiaohong Chen Yiwei Chen Zhuo Sun Sumei Huang 2016Nano-Micro Letters2016,8,4:4
5Progress in molecular-simulation-based research on the effects of interface-induced fluid microstructures on flow resistance显示文摘In modern chemical engineering processes, solid interface involvement is the most important component of process intensification techniques, such as nanoporous membrane separation and heterogeneous catalysis. The fundamental mechanism underlying interfacial transport remains incompletely understood given the complexity of heterogeneous interfacial molecular interactions and the high nonideality of the fluid involved. Thus, understanding the effects of interface-induced fluid microstructures on flow resistance is the first step in further understanding interfacial transport. Molecular simulation has become an indispensable method for the investigation of fluid microstructure and flow resistance. Here, we reviewed the recent research progress of our group and the latest relevant works to elucidate the contribution of interface-induced fluid microstructures to flow resistance.We specifically focused on water, ionic aqueous solutions, and alcohol–water mixtures given the ubiquity of these fluid systems in modern chemical engineering processes. 6Spatial-temporal characteristics of drought detected from meteorological data with high resolution in Shaanxi Province, China显示文摘The spatial pattern of meteorological factors cannot be accurately simulated by using observations from meteorological stations(OMS) that are distributed sparsely in complex terrain. It is expected that the spatial-temporal characteristics of drought in regions with complex terrain can be better represented by meteorological data with the high spatial-temporal resolution and accuracy. In this study, Standard Precipitation Evapotranspiration Index(SPEI) calculated with meteorological factors extracted from ITPCAS(China Meteorological Forcing Dataset produced by the Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences) was applied to identify the spatial-temporal characteristics of drought in Shaanxi Province of China, during the period of 1979–2016. Drought areas detected by SPEI calculated with data from ITPCAS(SPEI-ITPCAS) on the seasonal scale were validated by historical drought records from the Chinese Meteorological Disaster Canon-Shaanxi, and compared with drought areas detected by SPEI calculated with data from OMS(SPEI-OMS). Drought intensity, trend and temporal ranges for mutations of SPEI-ITPCAS were analyzed by using the cumulative drought intensity(CDI) index and the Mann-Kendall test. The results indicated that drought areas detected from SPEI-ITPCAS were closer to the historical drought records than those detected from SPEI-OMS. Severe and exceptional drought events with SPEI-ITPCAS lower than –1.0 occurred most frequently in summer, followed by spring. There was a general drying trend in spring and summer in Shaanxi Province and a significant wetting trend in autumn and winter in northern Shaanxi Province. On seasonal and annual scales, the regional and temporal ranges for mutations of SPEI-ITPCAS were different and most mutations occurred before the year 1990 in most regions of Shaanxi Province. 10Relationship Between Micromorphological Structure of Leaf Epidermis and Drought Resistance in Callisia repens显示文摘[Objectives]To discuss the relationship between left epidermis structures and drought resistance.[Methods]The leaf epidermis of Callisia repens was studied by optical microscope.[Results]The upper and lower epidermal cells of the leaves of Callisia repens arranged closely,and no cell gap was arranged.The morphology of the epidermal cells was hexagonal,few pentagon or heptagon,the equivalent elliptical aspect ratio was 1.20,the vertical wall was straight and there was no stomatal distribution.Compared with the epidermal cells,the morphology of the lower epidermal cells was irregular.The equivalent elliptic aspect ratio was 1.35,and the vertical wall was smooth and curved.The mean oval aspect ratio of the stomatal guard cells was 1.42,the average stomatal density was 11.79/mm 2,and the average stomatal index was 17.21.[Conclusions]These characteristics provide the theoretical basis for the drought resistance of Callisia repens and the ornamental plants as roof greening.Haofeng OUYANG Silin CHEN Jinxiang LIU Jie WU Yudan SUN 2022Asian Agricultural Research2022,14,11:0

12Isolation and species diversity of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi in the rhizosphere of Puccinellia tenuiflora of Songnen saline-alkaline grassland,China显示文摘Salinization has led to the deterioration of the ecological environment,affected the growth of plants,and hindered the development of agriculture and forestry.Arbuscular mycorrhizal(AM)fungi,as important soil microorganisms,play significant physiological and ecological roles in promoting plant nutrient absorption and improving soil structure.Puccinellia tenuiflora(Turcz.)Scribn.et Merr.in Songnen saline-alkaline grassland was selected as the research object to observe AM fungal colonization of the roots and explore the species and diversity of AM fungi in symbiotic association with P.tenuiflora.This study showed that AM fungi colonized in P.tenuiflora roots and formed a typical Arum-type mycorrhizal structure.A significant correlation was observed between vesicular abundance and the colonization intensity of mycorrhiza.Isolation and identification revealed 40 species of AM fungi in the rhizosphere of P.tenuiflora,belonging to 14 genera,of which two species could not be identified.The richness of the genus Glomus was the highest,accounting for 30%of the total species.Funneliformis mosseae and Rhizophagus intraradices were isolated from all the samples and were the species with the widest distribution in the rhizosphere of P.tenuiflora.Correlation analysis showed that pH only had a significant impact on the distribution of a few species,such as Glomus pustulatum,Diversispora spurca,Glomus aggregatum,Rhizophagus clarum,and Acaulospora foveata.The present study provides a theoretical basis for further exploring the resources of AM fungi in saline-alkaline soil.YUNHUI ZHOU YAJIE LIU WENNA ZHAO FEI CHEN YUDAN WANG CHUNXUE YANG 2022BIOCELL2022,46,11:0
13Stacked Attention Networks for Referring Expressions Comprehension显示文摘Referring expressions comprehension is the task of locating the image region described by a natural language expression,which refer to the properties of the region or the relationships with other regions.Most previous work handles this problem by selecting the most relevant regions from a set of candidate regions,when there are many candidate regions in the set these methods are inefficient.Inspired by recent success of image captioning by using deep learning methods,in this paper we proposed a framework to understand the referring expressions by multiple steps of reasoning.We present a model for referring expressions comprehension by selecting the most relevant region directly from the image.The core of our model is a recurrent attention network which can be seen as an extension of Memory Network.The proposed model capable of improving the results by multiple computational hops.We evaluate the proposed model on two referring expression datasets:Visual Genome and Flickr30k Entities.The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed model outperform previous state-of-the-art methods both in accuracy and efficiency.We also conduct an ablation experiment to show that the performance of the model is not getting better with the increase of the attention layers.Yugang Li Haibo Sun Zhe Chen Yudan Ding Siqi Zhou 2020Computers, Materials & Continua2020,,12:0
14Role of BraRGL1 in regulation of Brassica rapa bolting and flowering显示文摘Gibberellin(GA)plays a major role in controlling Brassica rapa stalk development.As an essential negative regulator of GA signal transduction,DELLA proteins may exert significant effects on stalk development.However,the regulatory mechanisms underlying this regulation remain unclear.In this study,we report highly efficient and inheritable mutagenesis using the CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing system in BraPDS(phytoene desaturase)and BraRGL1(key DELLA protein)genes.We observed a loss-of-function mutation in BraRGL1 due to two amino acids in GRAS domain.The flower bud differentiation and bolting time of BraRGL1 mutants were significantly advanced.The expression of GA-regulatory protein(BraGASA6),flowering related genes(BraSOC1,BraLFY),expansion protein(BraEXPA11)and xyloglucan endotransferase(BraXTH3)genes was also significantly upregulated in these mutants.BraRGL1-overexpressing plants displayed the contrasting phenotypes.BraRGL1 mutants were more sensitive to GA signaling.BraRGL1 interacted with BraSOC1,and the interaction intensity decreased after GA3 treatment.In addition,BraRGL1 inhibited the transcription-activation ability of BraSOC1 for BraXTH3 and BraLFY genes,but the presence of GA3 enhanced the activation ability of BraSOC1,suggesting that the BraRGL1-BraSOC1 module regulates bolting and flowering of B.rapa through GA signal transduction.Thus,we hypothesized that BraRGL1 is degraded,and BraSOC1 is released in the presence of GA3,which promotes the expression of BraXTH3 and BraLFY,thereby inducing stalk development in B.rapa.Further,the BraRGL1-M mutant promoted the flower bud differentiation without affecting the stalk quality.Thus,BraRGL1 can serve as a valuable target for the molecular breeding of early maturing varieties.Yudan Wang Shiwei Song Yanwei Hao Changming Chen Xi Ou Bin He Jiewen Zhang Zhehao Jiang Chengming Li Shuaiwei Zhang Wei Su Riyuan Chen 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,8:0
15The Com prehensive Evaluation on Four Indices of Drug Re-sistance in Acute Myeloid Leukem ia显示文摘To study sensitivity of drug resistance indexes and resistance manner in acute myeloid leukemia (AML), MTT drug sensitivity, growth types of CFU L in vitro , Bcl 2 antigen and Bcl 2/Bax ratio and intracellular fluorescence intensity of daunorubicin (DNR) were determined. In 62 cases of AML, the positive coincidence rate was 73 % with MTT test and the negative coincidence rate was 70 %. In 3 commonly used drugs, if one drug showed sensitivity, the coincidence remission rate reached 71 %. In 51 cases of AML, there were 31 patients in the group of complete remission (CR), in which CFU L of 29 patients showed independent growth. CFU L of 2 patients showed no growth. However, there were 20 patients in the group of non remission (NR), in which CFU L of 14 patients showed independent growth. CFU L of 6 patients showed non growth pattern. Statistical analysis showed significant difference ( P <0.05). In 32 cases of AML, the expression rate of Bcl 2 was 59.55 %±19.56 % in drug sensitive group, and one was 77.36 %±11.91 % in drug resistant group, respectively ( P <0.05). At the same time, the ratio of Bcl 2/Bax was 7.50±5.04 in drug sensitive group and one was 14.32±8.99 in drug resistant group, respectively ( P <0.05). In 15 case of clinically drug resistant AML, the fluorescence histogram of DNR showed left shift of main peak (LSMP) in 12 patients. They were diagnosed as classical drug resistance. Meanwhile, 1 patient showed right shift of main peak (RSMP) in 3 patients. They were diagnosed as re growth drug resistance. It is concluded that MTT and CFU L might be used for prediction of drug sensitivity or resistance when patients were on treatment. Bcl 2 and ratio of Bcl 2/Bax might be associated with the prognosis. DNR histogram could be employed for identify the pattern drug resistance. 16E®ect of laser acupuncture combined with electrical stimulation on recovery from exercise fatigue in mice显示文摘In sports events,the rapid recovery after high-intensity training or sport competition performance is very important for athletes'performance and health.The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of laser acupuncture and electrical stimulation on the recovery from exercise fatigue,using mice with swimming fatigue as experimental model and the electromyography(EMG)and the Raman spectroscopy of blood as evaluation indicators.Root mean square(RMS)and mean power frequency(MPF)of EMG were analyzed after laser acupuncture and electrical stimulation.The amplitude frequency combined analysis(JASA)showed that the proportion of muscles in the fatigue recovery area of the control group,the laser acupuncture group,the multi-channel laser acupuncture group and the laser combined with electrical stimulation group were 34.78%,39.13%,39.13%and 43.48%,respectively.Raman spectroscopy of the mice blood during fatigue recovery showed there is a significant difference between the multi-channel laser acupuncture group and the laser combined with electric stimulation group compared with the recovery period and fatigue period(P<0:05)at the peak of 997 cm^(-1) and the laser combined electrical stimulation group had a statistical difference in the recovery period compared with the fatigue period(P<0.05)at the peak of 1561 cm^(-1).The results showed that laser acupuncture combined with electrical stimulation was beneficial to fatigue recovery in mice,and had the potential value in sports fatigue recovery.Shupeng Liu Yudan Xia Zehai Hou Haotian Hong Na Chen Taihao Li Chunlei Shan Heng Zhang 2023Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences2023,16,4:0
17An investigation progress toward Be-based ablator materials for the inertial confinement fusion显示文摘The Be-based materials with many particular properties lead to an important research subject. The investigation progresses in the fabrication technologies are introduced here, including main three kinds of Be-based materials, such as Be–Cu capsule, Be_2C ablator and high-purity Be material. Compared with the pioneer workgroup on Be-based materials,the differences in Be–Cu target fabrication were described, and a grain refinement technique by an active hydrogen reaction for Be coating was proposed uniquely. Be_2C coatings were first prepared by the DC reactive magnetron sputtering with a high deposition rate(~300 nm/h). Pure polycrystalline Be_2C films with uniform microstructures,smooth surface, high density(~2.2 g · cm^3) and good optical transparency were fabricated. 18Drought-triggered repression of miR166 promotes drought tolerance in soybean显示文摘Drought stress limits agricultural productivity worldwide.Identifying and characterizing genetic components of drought stress-tolerance networks may improve crop resistance to drought stress.We show that the regulatory module formed by miR166 and its target gene,ATHB14-LIKE,functions in the regulation of drought tolerance in soybean(Glycine max).Drought stress represses the accumulation of miR166,leading to upregulation of its target genes.Optimal knockdown of miR166 in the stable transgenic line GmSTTM166 conferred drought tolerance without affecting yield.Expression of ABA signaling pathway genes was regulated by the miR166-mediated regulatory pathway,and ATHB14-LIKE directly activates some of these genes.There is a feedback regulation between ATHB14-LIKE and MIR166 genes,and ATHB14-LIKE inhibits MIR166 expression.These findings reveal that drought-triggered regulation of the miR166-mediated regulatory pathway increases plants drought resistance,providing new insights into drought stress regulatory network in soybean.Chen Zhao Jingjing Ma Chen Yan Yu Jiang Yaohua Zhang Yudan Lu Ye Zhang Suxin Yang Xianzhong Feng Jun Yan 2024The Crop Journal2024,12,1:0
19A preliminary experimental validation of superposition strategy in thermal management of integrated circuit with multiple hot-spots显示文摘Thermal management is a key issue in the integrated circuit(IC)design.In this paper,the superposition strategy was experimentally validated using a modeling IC device,which was fabricated by laboratory-level microfabrication technique.Metal thin film resistors on the top of dielectric layer were used to analogize the multiple hot-spots in the modeling IC device.The measured temperature rise with multiple hot-spots agrees well with the predictions given by the superposition calculations.With the help of the superposition strategy,thermal management of IC device can be significantly simplified by decomposing the system into sub-systems and optimizing each part individually.The influence coefficients in the superposition strategy extracted from the experimental measurement offer the IC designers a useful engineering tool to facility the thermal optimization and evaluate the thermal performance of IC devices.LIU Kun PI YuDan WANG Wei LI ZhiHong CHEN Jing JIN YuFeng 2014Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,11:0
20Efficacy and mechanisms of Dingxian pill(定痫丸)combined with valproic acid on pentylenetetrazol-induced chronic epilepsy in rats显示文摘OBJECIVE:To investigate the efficacy and mechanisms of Dingxian pill(定痫丸)combined with valproic acid(VPA)on pentylenetetrazol-induced chronical epilepsy in rats.METHODS:A rat model of epilepsy was established by administering pentylenetetrazol(PTZ)water solution(35 mg/kg).Rats were divided into 4 groups,among which three groups were treated with different drugs once a day for 28 d including Dingxian pill(2.4 g/kg),VPA(0.2 g/kg),or a combination of Dingxian pill(2.4 g/kg)and VPA(0.2 g/kg)respectively,and the control group was given the same volume of saline.Rats in different groups were compared based on animal behavior,electroencephalograms,Morris water maze,immunohistochemistry,transcriptomics and real-time polymerase chain reaction.RSULTS:The combination therapy of Dingxian pill and VPA inhibited PTZ-induced seizure-like behavior and reduced seizure grades more significantly than VPA alone.Compared with the control group,the learning and memory ability of chronic PTZ-induced epileptic rats was improved in all the drug treatment groups,especially in the group that received both Dingxian pill and VPA.Similar to the results of MWM tests,expression of the neuroexcitability marker gene c-Fos was reduced after Dingxian pill and/or VPA treatment,and the effect was most pronounced in the combined treatment group.Transcriptomic analysis revealed that gene expression in the rodent hippocampus,which is involved in epilepsy,was upregulated by combined treatment with Dingxian pill and VPA,compared with VPA treatment alone.CONCLUSION:Our results not only highlight the antiepileptic effects of combined Dingxian pill and VPA treatment,but also shed light on the underlying molecular mechanisms and provide a way to apply Traditional Chinese Medicine in the treatment of epilepsy.QU Dongxiao GE Yiqin ZHUO Limin CHEN Liji XUE Yonghua CHENG Jiwei TAO Jie LI Guoyi ZHU Yudan XIAO Qian 2023Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2023,43,2:0
