| 1 | Investigation into the transient flow characteristics of noble gas propellants using the pulsed inductive discharge in electric propulsion显示文摘The Pulsed Inductive Thruster(PIT)has the advantages of repeatable startup,no corruption and in-situ propellant feed.To study the flow expansion and circuit characteristics of PITs,the circuit-fluid model is developed,and the high temperature thermodynamic and transport models are combined with the circuit-fluid model to predict the critical plasma parameters.The flow fields of initial mass of 2–8 mg and charge voltages of 10–14 k V are simulated.Comparison of the flow fields of argon and helium propellants suggests that,the flow field structures are similar.Slight differences exist on the magnitude of the density and magnetic field,caused by larger velocity in lighter atom case and difference on the ionization gap between adjacent ionization levels.Analysis of the circuit characteristics by the two-dimensional results indicates that the ratio of coil inductance to circuit inductance affects both the rise rate and phase of the plasma current,the larger the ratio,the greater the rise rate and the better the following characteristic.The calculations show that the magnetic energy obtained within the decoupling distance determines the overall performance the thruster can be obtained;self-induced field maintained by the thermal motion after the main pulse leads to the long attenuation process and difference on the total impulse when the angle of conical pylon is varied under constant coil dimension. | Yuguo CHENG Guangqing XIA | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,9: | 2 |
| 2 | Preliminary investigation on cytotoxicity of fluorinated polymer nanoparticles显示文摘As well-known persistent organic pollutants(POPs), organofluorine pollutants such as perfluorooctane sulfonate(PFOS) have been proven to be bioaccumulated and harmful to health. However, toxicological assessment of organofluorinated nanoparticles, which have emerged as a novel tool for biomedical and industrial applications, is lacking, to the best of our knowledge. To assess the biological effects and health risk of fluorinated nanoparticles,trifluoroethyl aryl ether-based fluorinated poly(methyl methacrylate) nanoparticles(PTFEPMMA NPs) were synthesized with various fluorine contents(PTFE-PMMA-1 NPs 12.0 wt.%,PTFE-PMMA-2 NPs 6.1 wt.% and PTFE-PMMA-3 NPs 5.0 wt.%), and their cytotoxicity was investigated in this study. The in vitro experimental results indicated that the cytotoxicity of PTFE-PMMA NPs was mild, and was closely related to their fluorine(F) contents and Fcontaining side chains. Specifically, the cytotoxicity of PTFE-PMMA NPs decreased with increasing F content and F-containing side chains. After exposure to PTFE-PMMA NPs at a sublethal dose(50 μg/m L) for 24 hr, the phospholipid bilayer was damaged, accompanied by increasing permeability of the cell membrane. Meanwhile, the intracellular accumulation of reactive oxygen species(ROS) occurred, resulting in the increase of DNA damage, cell cycle arrest and cell death. | 3 | Plasma biomarkers and plaque strain predict long-term cardiovascular events in patients with acute coronary syndrome显示文摘To test whether circulating and intracoronary biomarkers and coronary plaque strain have additive values to Global Registry of Acute Coronary Events(GRACE) score for predicting long-term cardiovascular events in ACS patients. One hundred ACS patients were enrolled and the GRACE score and plasma levels and intracoronary gradients of a number of biomarkers were measured. Coronary plaque burden and morphology in non-critical stenotic plaques were determined by intravascular ultrasound(IVUS) technique, and the maximal shear strain(SSmax) and maximal area strain(ASmax) were determined by intravascular ultrasound elastography(IVUSE) technique. Patients were followed for cardiovascular events and the predictive values of clinical characteristics, plasma biomarkers and plaque parameters were compared with GRACE score, and the incremental values of these measurements to the GRACE score were assessed. GRACE score, plasma biomarkers and plaque strain were independent predictors of cardiovascular events. Combination of GRACE score, plasma biomarkers and plaque strains significantly improved the predictive value of the GRACE score alone with the receiver-operating characteristic area increased from0.457 to 0.667(P=0.014).
