1FHY3 and FAR1 Integrate Light Signals with the miR156-SPL Module-Mediated Aging Pathway to Regulate Arabidopsis Flowering显示文摘In response to competition for light from their neighbors,shade-intolerant plants flower precociously to ensure reproductive success and survival.However,the molecular mechanisms underlying this key developmental switch are not well understood.Here,we show that a pair of Arabidopsis transcription factors essential for phytochrome A signaling,FAR-RED ELONGATED HYPOCOTYL3(FHY3)and FAR-RED IMPAIRED RESPONSE1(FAR1),regulate flowering time by integrating environmental light signals with the miR156-SPL module-mediated aging pathway.We found that FHY3 and FAR1 directly interact with three flowering-promoting SQUAMOSA-PROMOTER BINDING PROTEIN-LIKE(SPL)transcription factors,SPL3,SPL4,and SPL5,and inhibit their binding to the promoters of several key flowering regulatory genes,including FRUITFUL(FUL),LEAFY(LFY),APETALA1(AP1),and MIR172C,thus downregulating their transcript levels and delaying flowering.Under simulated shade conditions,levels of SPL3/4/5 proteins increase,whereas levels of FHY3 and FAR1 proteins decline,thus releasing SPL3/4/5 from FHY3/FAR1 inhibition to allow activation of FUL,LFY,AP1,and MIR172C and,consequently,early flowering.Taken together,these results unravel a novel mechanism whereby plants regulate flowering time by integrating environmental cues(such as light conditions)and an internal developmental program(the miR156-SPL module-mediated aging pathway).Yurong Xie Qin Zhou Yongping Zhao Quanquan Li Yang Liu Mengdi Ma Baobao Wang Rongxin Shen Zhigang Zheng Haiyang Wang 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,3:8

3FGD5 as a novel prognostic biomarker and its association with immune infiltrates in lung adenocarcinoma显示文摘Background:Non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)has a poor prognosis with a low 5-year survival rate.Lung adenocarcinoma(LUAD)accounts for 50%.Facio-genital dysplasia-5(FGD5),a member of a subfamily of Rho GTPGDP exchange factors,may be a good molecular biomarker for diagnosis and prognosis.Objective:To explore the clinical application of FGD5,the study was designed to investigate the prognosis value of FGD5 expression and its correlation with immune infiltrates in LUAD patients.Methods:Through the Wilcoxon signed-rank test and logistic regression,the correlation between clinical characteristics and FGD5 expression was analyzed.Kaplan-Meier plotter analysis,Cox regression,and a receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve were constructed to evaluate the influence of FGD5 on prognosis.The function of FGD5 in lung cancer was analyzed using Gene set enrichment analysis(GSEA)and Single Sample Gene Set Enrichment Analysis(ssGSEA).Results:Compared to normal tissues,FGD5 was downregulated in LUAD.FGD5 may be a potential diagnostic and prognostic biomarker of lung cancer for its association with improved overall survival(OS),progression-free interval(PFI),and disease-specific survival(DSS)in LUAD.Results of functional analysis suggested that FGD5 was involved in the immune response for its association with immune infiltration.Conclusion:FGD5 may be a significant molecular biomarker for diagnosis and prognosis,presenting as an independent prognostic risk factor for LUAD.ZHONGXIANG TANG LILI WANG GUOJUN WU LING QIN YURONG TAN 2023BIOCELL2023,47,11:0
