1The Relationship between Melt Season Sea Ice over the Bering Sea and Summer Precipitation over Mid-Latitude East Asia显示文摘Independent datasets consistently indicate a significant correlation between the sea ice variability in the Bering Sea during melt season and the summer rainfall variability in the Lake Baikal area and Northeastern China. In this study, four sea ice datasets(HadISST1,HadISST2.2,ERA-Interim and NOAA/NSIDC)and two global precipitation datasets(CRU V4.01 and GPCP V2.3)are used to investigate co-variations between melt season(March−April−May−June,MAMJ)Bering Sea ice cover(BSIC)and summer(June−July−August,JJA)East Asian precipitation. All datasets demonstrate a significant correlation between the MAMJ BSIC and the JJA rainfall in Lake Baikal−Northeastern China(Baikal−NEC).Based on the reanalysis datasets and the numerical sensitivity experiments performed in this study using Community Atmospheric Model version 5(CAM5),a mechanism to understand how the MAMJ BSIC influences the JJA Baikal−NEC rainfall is suggested.More MAMJ BSIC triggers a wave train and causes a positive sea level pressure(SLP)anomaly over the North Atlantic during MAMJ.The high SLP anomaly, associated with an anti-cyclonic wind stress circulation anomaly, favors the appearance of sea surface temperature(SST)anomalies in a zonal dipole-pattern in the North Atlantic during summer. The dipole SST anomaly drives a zonally orientated wave train, which causes a high anomaly geopotential height at 500 hPa over the Sea of Japan. As a result, the mean East Asian trough moves westward and a low geopotential height anomaly occurs over Baikal−NEC.This prevailing regional low pressure anomaly together with enhanced moisture transport from the western North Pacific and convergence over Baikal−NEC,positively influences the increased rainfall in summer.Yurun TIAN Yongqi GAO Dong GUO 2021Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2021,38,6:4
2Bioinspired Functional Surfaces for Medical Devices显示文摘Medical devices are a major component of precision medicine and play a key role in medical treatment, particularly with the rapid development of minimally invasive surgery and wearable devices.Their tissue contact properties strongly affect device performance and patient health(e.g.,heat coagulation and slipperiness on surgical graspers). However, the design and optimization of these device surfaces are still indistinct and have no supporting principles.Under such conditions, natural surfaces with various unique functions can provide solutions. This review summarizes the current progress in natural functional surfaces for medical devices, including ultra-slipperiness and strong wet attachment. The underlying mechanisms of these surfaces are attributed to their coupling effects and featured micronano structures.Depending on various medical requirements, adaptable designs and fabrication methods have been developed.Additionally, various medical device surfaces have been validated to achieve enhanced contact properties.Based on these studies,a more promising future for medical devices can be achieved for enhanced precision medicine and human health.Liwen Zhang Guang Liu Yurun Guo Yan Wang Deyuan Zhang Huawei Chen 2022Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2022,35,3:1
3Modified room temperature solid-state synthesis of yttria-stabilized zirconia(YSZ) nano-powders for solid oxide fuel cells显示文摘High-performance solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC) is in urgent need of high-quality electrolyte powders with high reactivity and chemical uniformity.Here,8 mol% Y_(2)O_(3) doped ZrO_(2)(YSZ) nano-powders were synthesized by an improved solid-state reaction method at ambient temperature, and were applied to the fabrication of SOFC electrolytes.YSZ nano-powders show average grain sizes of ^(2)0 nm and high dispersibility, which is comparable with or even better than some other chemical methods.Benefitting from their high reactivity, dense YSZ electrolytes(relative density of 97.9%) can be obtained at a relatively low sintering temperature of 1400℃.The optimized electrical conductivity reaches up to a high value of0.034 S/cm at 800 0C in air.The anode supported single cell with the construction of Ni-YSZ/YSZ/Sm_(0.2)Ce_(0.8)O_(2-δ)(SDC)/La_(0.6)Sr_(0.4)Co_(0.2)Fe_(0.8)O_(3-δ)(LSCF) exhibits the peak power density of 0.827 W/cm^(2) at800℃ while taking wet H_(2) as fuels and ambient air as oxidants.Xiaoqian Xu Yurun Feng Zhaoyu Zhong Xue Guo Zhenhao Zhang Jiao Li Shikai Zhao Shigang Wu Haibin Sun 2023Journal of Rare Earths2023,41,9:0
4“Stop-and-go” error analysis of geosynchronous SAR显示文摘In this paper, the slant range error introduced by the 'stop-and-go' assumption is analyzed in detail. Owing to the high orbit and long synthetic aperture time of geosynchronous SAR(Geo-SAR), the slant range error introduced by the 'stop-and-go' assumption should be considered. In addition, an accurate signal propagation delay time equation of Geo-SAR based on circle orbit is presented, and the error of the 'stop-andgo' assumption is demonstrated by simulation. An 'equivalent position' model is proposed and validated by simulation. The error of various powers of 'stop-and-go' slant range is analyzed using Legendre orthogonal series expansion. The limitation of the stop-and-so assumption is proved by point target simulation.Yurun TIAN Shenglong GUO Weidong YU 2016Science China(Information Sciences)2016,59,6:0
