| 1 | mm Wave communications for 5G: implementation challenges and advances显示文摘The requirement of the fifth generation(5 G) wireless communication for high throughput motivates the wireless industry to use the mm Wave(millimeter wave) communications for its wide bandwidth advantage. To compensate the heavy path loss and increase the communications capacity, phased array beamforming and massive multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) techniques are employed at both the user equipment(UE) and base stations(BS). Considering the commercial requirements, 5 G mm Wave large array systems should be implemented in an energy-and cost-efficient way with a small form factor. To address above issues and realize a reliable communications link, taking into account the particular characteristics of5 G mm Wave systems, this paper firstly examines the design challenges and trade-offs in system implementations, then some of the design strategies are summarized. | 2 | Energy Efficient Multi-Antenna UAV-Enabled Mobile Relay显示文摘In this paper, we study an energy efficient multi-antenna unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)-enabled half-duplex mobile relaying system under Rician fading channels. By assuming that the UAV follows a circular trajectory at fixed altitude and applying the decode-and-forward relaying strategy, we maximize the energy efficiency by jointly designing beamforming, power allocation, circular radius and flight speed, subject to the sum transmit power constraint on source node and UAV relay node. First, we maximize the end-to-end signal-to-noise ratio by jointly designing beamforming and statistical power allocation. Based on the obtained beamforming and power allocation results, we then obtain a semi closed-form expression of energy efficiency, and finally maximize energy efficiency by optimizing flight speed and circular radius, allowing optimal circular radius to be obtained via numerical computation. | 3 | Energy-efficient resource allocation for OFDMA relay systems with imperfect CSIT显示文摘In this paper, we propose an energy-efficient resource allocation scheme for the downlink of decodeand-forward relay-assisted orthogonal frequency division multiple access systems. The resource allocation is designed based on imperfect channel state information at the transmitter. We jointly optimize the power allocation, data rate allocation, and subcarrier allocation to maximize the system energy efficiency(EE). We formulate the EE problem as a probabilistic mixed non-convex optimization problem, in which the individual power constraints and the outage probability requirements are considered. An iterative algorithm based on bisection method is given to transform the optimization problem into a standard concave form. Also, we consider a proportional fairness design for the EE maximization problem. We aim to balance the EE of macro cell and low power nodes by subchannel and power allocations. We formulate the problem as a nonlinear sum-of-ratios programming issue, and guarantee data rate requirements of users by using minimum rate constraints. Due to the nonconvexity of the problem, we develop a heuristic subchannel assignment algorithm, and then solve the power allocation problem by parameterized transformations and a first-order approximation based on an iterative algorithm. | 12 | A Model-Driven Deep Learning Network for Quantized GFDM Receiver显示文摘Low-resolution analog-to-digital converter(ADC)is a promising solution to reduce hardware cost and power consumption in generalized frequency division multiplexing(GFDM)systems.The severe nonlinear distortion of ADCs and the non-orthogonality of GFDM make receiver design a great challenge.In this paper,we propose a novel model-driven receiver architecture for GFDM with low-resolution ADCs.Orthogonal approximate message passing(OAMP)framework is combined with the classical linear estimator in this work to create a robust iterative receiver for GFDM systems with low-precision ADCs.The corresponding model-driven network is organized based on the proposed novel iterative algorithm according to the procedures of the receiver.The network of OAMP can reduce the gap between the approximate algorithm and the Bayesian optimal result due to the information loss of ADCs.The signal flow of the neural network is designed by unfolding the iterative algorithms for channel estimation and data detection.Numerical results are provided to show that the proposed OAMP-based receiver algorithm outperforms traditional receivers and the model-driven network can further improve the system performance on the basis of the corresponding novel algorithm. | Mengjiao Zhang Chaokai Wen Shi Jin Fuchun Zheng | 2019 | Journal of Communications and Information Networks2019,4,3: | 0 |
