| 1 | The biogeochemical behavior of dissolved aluminum in the southern Yellow Sea:Influence of the spring phytoplankton bloom显示文摘Many recent studies have investigated the nutrient-type profiles of dissolved aluminum(Al) in the ocean.Significant scavenging of dissolved Al can occur during phytoplankton blooms, but the mechanism remains unclear. The distribution of dissolved Al in the southern Yellow Sea(SYS) was investigated in winter and spring 2009.Following measurements at grid stations during the spring sampling cruise, two drifting anchor surveys of more than 100 h were conducted to trace the variation of dissolved Al concentration during the spring phytoplankton bloom(SPB).The concentration of dissolved Al in the SYS decreased from 40 nmol/L in February to 30 nmol/L in March and 10-20 nmol/L in April, while the concentration of Chl a increased from < 2 μg/L in March to > 4 μg/L in April. The concentration of dissolved Al in the SYS decreased significantly with the development of the phytoplankton bloom, which indicated biological scavenging of dissolved Al from water column. The proportion of dissolved Al scavenged from water column by different phytoplankton species differed at the two drifting stations, with greater removal efficiency demonstrated by diatoms than dinoflagellates.Phytoplankton samples collected from the Chl a maximum layer were washed with trace metal clean reagent(oxalate-EDTA-citrate,abbreviate as oxalate solution,Tovar-Sanchez et al.,2003) to enable the surface-scavenged(extracellular) and intracellular Al pools associated with phytoplankton to be differentiated.Thirty-nine to ninetysix percent of the total Al was found to be existed in the interior pools, which indicated that biological absorption was the important way to scavenge dissolved Al during phytoplankton blooms in the SYS. | LI FaMing REN JingLing YAN Li LIU SuMei LIU ChengGang ZHOU Feng ZHANG Jing | 2013 | Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,2: | 4 |
| 2 | VOLUME DEFECT FATIGUE FAILURE OF CERAMIC BALLS UNDER ROLLING CONDITION显示文摘A newly developed pure rolling fatigue test rig with three contact points is used to test the rolling contact fatigue properties of silicon nitride ceramic balls. Ball surfaces are examined after failure with optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. The failure cause, fatigue phenomenon and mechanics are analyzed. The research shows that subsurface cracks play a dominant role in the formation of spalling failure. These cracks originated from volume defects of the material and propagate,to form elliptical fatigue spalls under the action of principal tensile stresses. The principal tensile stress increases with increasing contact load, causing spall formation and reduction of rolling contact life. The greater the principal tensile stress is,the more severe the peeling of near surface is. Under the same condition, the closer volume defects are to the surface, the more likely failure occurs, the shorter the rolling contact life is. | ZHOU Jingling WU Guoqing CHEN Xiaoyang | 2007 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2007,20,2: | 3 |
| 3 | 3D-printed dermis-specific extracellular matrix mitigates scar contraction via inducing early angiogenesis and macrophage M2 polarization显示文摘Scar contraction frequently happens in patients with deep burn injuries.Hitherto, porcine dermal extracellular matrix(dECM)has supplied microenvironments that assist in wound healing but fail to inhibit scar contraction. To overcome this drawback,we integrate dECM into three-dimensional(3D)-printed dermal analogues(PDA)to prevent scar contraction. We have developed thermally gelled,non-rheologically modified dECM powder(dECMp)inks and successfully transformed them into PDA that was endowed with a micron-scale spatial structure. The optimal crosslinked PDA exhibited desired structure, good mechanical properties as well as excellent biocompatibility. Moreover,in vivo experiments demonstrated that PDA could significantly reduced scar contraction and improved cosmetic upshots of split thickness skin grafts(STSG)than the commercially available dermal templates and STSG along. The PDA has also induced an early, intense neovascularization, and evoked a type-2-like immune response.PDA’s superior beneficial effects may attribute to their desired porous structure, the well-balanced physicochemical properties, and the preserved dermis-specific ECM cues, which collectively modulated the expression of genes such as Wnt11,ATF3,and IL1β,and influenced the crucial endogenous signalling pathways. The findings of this study suggest that PDA is a clinical translatable material that possess high potential in reducing scar contraction. | Lei Chen Zhiyong Li Yongtai Zheng Fei Zhou Jingling Zhao Qiyi Zhai Zhaoqiang Zhang Tianrun Liu Yongming Chen Shaohai Qi | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,4: | 3 |

| 6 | Determination of Volatile Constituents,Total Flavonoids and Total Polysaccharides in the Roots of Artemisia argyi Levl. et Van. var.argyi cv. Qiai显示文摘[Objectives] To analyze the volatile components, the contents of total flavonoids and total polysaccharides of the roots of Artemisia argyi Levl. et Van. var. argyi cv. Qiai, and to provide a scientific basis for the comprehensive development and utilization of the resources.[Methods]The volatile components of the roots were extracted by solid phase micro-extraction( SPME),and its volatile components were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry( GC-MS); the contents of total flavonoids and total polysaccharides in the samples were measured by UV-spectrophotometry. [Results] 44 peaks were isolated from the roots and 30 components were identified, accounting for 80. 9% of the total volatile components; the content of total flavonoids in the roots was 9. 42%; the content of total polysaccharides in the roots was 11. 05%.[Conclusions] After a comprehensive investigation, the olefins in the roots generally have antibacterial activity, the contents of the total flavonoids and total polysaccharides contained in the roots were relatively high, the roots of Artemisia argyi do have broad prospects for the development. | Min GONG Jinqing LU Yushuo XIAO Jiamin MENG Jingling HUANG Mengfei LIU Jiaxuan XIA Yi ZHOU | 2017 | Medicinal Plant2017,8,6: | 1 |
