1中国糖尿病发病率和检出率地域性差异——98058例成年受试者数据多水平空间分析显示文摘目的探究中国糖尿病发病率和检出率地域性差异。方法选取分布在中国大陆162个地区的98058例18岁以上成年受试者的自述报告和生物学数据(90.5%反馈率),采用美国糖尿病协会糖尿病诊疗标准评估受试者的糖尿病症状,根据先前诊断结果 ,做出其是否患有糖尿病的判断。以各省为单位,使用分区统计图表法评估各调研数据结果的地域性差异。应用多元logistic回归分析法,校正个体和地域层级的差别后,评估每个结果出现的概率。结果各省糖尿病患者的地理分布反映出中国糖尿病发病率和检出率地域性差异。校正年龄、性别和城市/农村社会经济状况等因素后,糖尿病发病率自东北部向北部,从8.3%(95%CI 7.2%,9.7%)上升至12.7%(11.1%,14.6%)。从较好社会经济状况(socioeconomic circumstances,SEC)的城市到农村较差社会经济状况的县/区,糖尿病发病率呈下降趋势,分别为13.1%(12.0%,14.4%)和8.7%(7.8%,9.6%)。校正健康知识水平和个人原因两个因素后,地域性差异仍具有统计学意义。仅三分之一的糖尿病患者在接受此次测试前有糖尿病诊断史,但此结果因地域不同而不同。校正年龄、性别和城市/农村SEC后,糖尿病检出率自北向西南从40.4%(34.9%,46.3%)下降至15.6%(11.7%,20.5%)。与较好SEC县市的40.8%(37.3%,44.4%)检出率相比,农村较差SEC地区的检出率最低,仅为20.5%(17.7%,23.7%)。糖尿病检出率的地域性差异并不完全是个体差异造成的。结论加强防控糖尿病意识,提高检测准确率应从地域性因素出发。陈研 陈刚 Maigeng Zhou Thomas Astell-Burt Yufang Bi 2015创伤与急诊电子杂志2015,3,4:42
2The secretion profile of mesenchymal stem cells and potential applications in treating human diseases显示文摘Mesenchymal stromal/stem cells(MSCs)possess multi-lineage differentiation and self-renewal potentials.MSCs-based therapies have been widely utilized for the treatment of diverse inflammatory diseases,due to the potent immunoregulatory functions of MSCs.An increasing body of evidence indicates that MSCs exert their therapeutic effects largely through their paracrine actions.Growth factors,cytokines,chemokines,extracellular matrix components,and metabolic products were all found to be functional molecules of MSCs in various therapeutic paradigms.These secretory factors contribute to immune modulation,tissue remodeling,and cellular homeostasis during regeneration.In this review,we summarize and discuss recent advances in our understanding of the secretory behavior of MSCs and the intracellular communication that accounts for their potential in treating human diseases.Yuyi Han Jianxin Yang Jiankai Fang Yipeng Zhou Eleonora Candi Jihong Wang Dong Hua Changshun Shao Yufang Shi 2022Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,4:6
3Detail control strategies for topology optimization in architectural design and development显示文摘With the ability to generate forms with high efficiency and elegant geometry,topology optimization has been increasingly used in architectural and structural designs.However,the conventional topology optimization techniques aim at achieving the structurally most efficient solution without any potential for architects or designers to control the design details.This paper introduces three strategies based on Bi-directional Evolutionary Structural Optimization(BESO)method to artificially pre-design the topological optimized structures.These strategies have been successfully applied in the computational morphogenesis of various structures for solving practical design problems.The results demonstrate that the developed methodology can provide the designer with structurally efficient and topologically different solutions according to their proposed designs with multi-filter radii,multi-volume fractions,and multi-weighting coefficients.This work establishes a general approach to integrating objective topology optimization methods with subjective human design preferences,which has great potential for practical applications in architecture and engineering industry.Xin Yan Dingwen Bao Yufang Zhou Yimin Xie Tong Cui 2022Frontiers of Architectural Research2022,11,2:4
4Coupled relationships among anammox,denitrification, and dissimilatory nitrate reduction to ammonium along salinity gradients in a Chinese estuarine wetland显示文摘Salinization in estuarine wetlands significantly alters the balance between their nitrogen(N)removal and retention abilities but these processes have not yet been characterized effectively.In the present study,the potential rates of sediment denitrification,anaerobic ammonium oxidation(anammox),and dissimilatory nitrate reduction to ammonium(DNRA)were mapped using N isotope tracing methods along salinity gradients across the Yellow River Delta wetland(YRDW)in China.The contribution of anammox to total dissimilatory N transformations in YRDW was merely 6.8%,whereas denitrification and DNRA contributed 52.3%and 40.9%,respectively.The potential rate of denitrification(5.82μmol/kg/h)decreased significantly along salinity gradients and markedly exceeded DNRA potential rate(2.7μmol/kg/h)in fresh wetlands,but was lower than that of DNRA in oligohaline wetlands(3.06 and 3.18μmol/kg/h,respectively).Moreover,a significantly positive relationship between salinity and DNRA/denitrification was obeserved,indicating that increased salinity may favor DNRA over denitrification.Furthermore,total sulfur(TS)content and ratio of total organic carbon to total nitrogen(C/N)increased with the salinity gradient and showed evident positive relationships with the DNRA/denitrification ratio.In this study,we proved that increased salinization resulted in the dominance of DNRA over denitrification,possible through the addition of S and alteration of the C/N in estuarine wetlands,leading to increased N retention in estuarine wetlands during salinization,which would enhance the eutrophication potential within wetlands and in downstream ecosystems.Zijun Zhou Lei Ge Yufang Huang Yuqian Liu Siyang Wang 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,8:4
5Integrative Analysis Reveals Enhanced Regulatory Effects of Human Long Intergenic Non-Coding RNAs in Lung Adenocarcinoma显示文摘Although there is an accumulating appreciation of the key roles that long intergenic non-coding RNAs(linc RNAs) play in diverse cellular processes, our knowledge of how linc RNAs function in cancer remains sparse. Here, we present a comprehensive landscape of RNA-seq transcriptome profiles of lung adenocarcinomas and their paired normal counterparts to unravel gene regulation rules of linc RNAs.Consistent with previous findings of co-expression between neighboring protein-coding genes, linc RNAs were typically co-expressed with their neighboring genes, which was found in both cancerous and normal tissues. By building a mathematical model based on correlated gene expression, we distinguished an additional subset of linc RNAs termed 'regulatory linc RNAs', representing their dominant roles in gene regulation. The number of regulatory linc RNAs was significantly higher in cancerous compared to normal tissues, and most of them positively regulated protein-coding genes in trans. Functional validation, using knockdown, determined that regulatory linc RNA,GAS5, affected its predicted protein-coding targets. Moreover, we discovered hundreds of differentially expressed regulatory linc RNAs with inclusion of some cancer-associated linc RNAs. 6N-acetyltransferase 10 promotes colon cancer progression by inhibiting ferroptosis through N4-acetylation and stabilization of ferroptosis suppressor protein 1 (FSP1) mRNA显示文摘Background:N-acetyltransferase 10(NAT10)is the only enzyme known tomediate the N4-acetylcytidine(ac4C)modification of mRNA and is crucial formRNA stability and translation efficiency.However,its role in cancer development and prognosis has not yet been explored.This study aimed to examine the possible role of NAT10 in colon cancer.Methods:The expression levels ofNAT10were evaluated by immunohistochemical analyses with a colon cancer tissue microarray,and its prognostic value in patients was further analyzed.Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR)and Western blotting were performed to analyze NAT10 expression in harvested colon cancer tissues and cell lines.Stable NAT10-knockdown and NAT10-overexpressing colon cancer cell lines were constructed using lentivirus.The biological functions of NAT10 in colon cancer cell lines were analyzed in vitro by Cell Counting Kit-8(CCK-8),wound healing,Transwell,cell cycle,and ferroptosis assays.Xenograft models were used to analyze the effect of NAT10 on the tumorigenesis and metastasis of colon cancer cells in vivo.Dot blotting,acetylated RNA immunoprecipitation-qPCR,and RNA stability analyses were performed to explore the mechanism by which NAT10 functions in colon cancer progression.Results:NAT10 was upregulated in colon cancer tissues and various colon cancer cell lines.This increased NAT10 expression was associated with shorter patient survival.Knockdown of NAT10 in two colon cancer cell lines(HT-29 and LoVo)impaired the proliferation,migration,invasion,tumor formation and metastasis of these cells,whereas overexpression of NAT10 promoted these abilities.Further analysis revealed that NAT10 exerted a strong effect on the mRNA stability and expression of ferroptosis suppressor protein 1(FSP1)in HT-29 and LoVo cells.In these cells,FSP1 mRNA was found to be modified by ac4C acetylation,and this epigenetic modification was associated with the inhibition of ferroptosis.Conclusions:Our study revealed that NAT10 plays a critical role in colon cancer development by affecting FSP1 mRNA stability and ferroptosis,suggesting that NAT10 could be a novel prognostic and therapeutic target in colon cancer.Xiao Zheng Qi Wang You Zhou Dachuan Zhang Yiting Geng Wenwei Hu Changping Wu Yufang Shi Jingting Jiang 2022Cancer Communications2022,42,12:3

163D printing of conch-like scaffolds for guiding cell migration and directional bone growth显示文摘Regeneration of severe bone defects remains an enormous challenge in clinic.Developing regenerative scaffolds to directionally guide bone growth is a potential strategy to overcome this hurdle.Conch,an interesting creature widely spreading in ocean,has tough spiral shell that can continuously grow along the spiral direction.Herein,inspired by the physiological features of conches,a conch-like(CL)scaffold based onβ-TCP bioceramic material was successfully prepared for guiding directional bone growth via digital light processing(DLP)-based 3D printing.Benefiting from the spiral structure,the CL scaffolds significantly improved cell adhesion,proliferation and osteogenic differentiation in vitro compared to the conventional 3D scaffolds.Particularly,the spiral structure in the scaffolds could efficiently induce cells to migrate from the bottom to the top of the scaffolds,which was like“cells climbing stairs”.Furthermore,the capability of guiding directional bone growth for the CL scaffolds was demonstrated by a special half-embedded femoral defects model in rabbits.The new bone tissue could consecutively grow into the protruded part of the scaffolds along the spiral cavities.This work provides a promising strategy to construct biomimetic biomaterials for guiding directional bone tissue growth,which offers a new treatment concept for severe bone defects,and even limb regeneration.Boshi Feng Meng Zhang Chen Qin Dong Zhai Yufeng Wang Yanling Zhou Jiang Chang Yufang Zhu Chengtie Wu 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,4:1
17Ecotoxicity of soils contaminated with industrial and domestic wastewater in western Shenyang, China显示文摘Soil samples were collected from 7 sites in the up-, mid- and down-reach along and nearby the wastewater irrigation channel, western Shenyang of China. The concentrations of selected pollutants (mineral oil, PAHs - polycycle aromatic hydrocarbons and Cd) were determined by UV spectrometer, HPLC and AAS (atomic adsorption spectrometer) spectrometer, respectively. Toxicity effects of soils were evaluated by seedling emergence test with root length of wheat as the end-point and by earthworms test with the mortality rate and inhibition rates of body weight as endpoints. Results showed accumulation of pollutants for most soils with concentration of 200.2 mg.kg-1 ~1600 mg.kg-1 for mineral oil, 0.33 mg.kg-1~1.81 mg.kg-1 for Cd and 900.16 mg.kg-1~ 2737.91 mg.kg-1 for PAHs. The inhibition rates of root elongation were from -20% up to 40 %, and mortality rates of earthworms ranged from 0%~40% from the exposure period of two weeks to eight weeks by sampling interval of two weeks, the inhibition rates of earthworm growth were from -19.36% to 34.53%, showing effects of stimulation at 2 weeks to an increasing effects of inhibition at 4, 6 and 8 weeks, respectively.
