2Magnetized Water Improves Digestion and Growth of Lambs显示文摘Twelve of weaned Small-tail Han male lambs,with body weight of(7.99±1.04)kg,at 30 days of age,were divided into two groups to study the effect of drinking magnetized water(MW)on digestion and metabolism of lambs.The voluntary intake and ADG from 30 to 240 days of age were measured,twice of digestion and metabolism trial were carried out,and at the age of 240 days slaughter test was conducted.The results showed that drinking MW significantly increased voluntary feed intake(27.2%),ADG(27.4%)and apparent digestibility of DM(17.9%),OM(20.2%),CP(22.8%),and energy(12.7%),respectively.The nitrogen retention in two experimental trials significantly increased by 43.9%and 28.9%,respectively.Drinking MW significantly increased live body weight(24.5%),carcass weight(28.2%),carcass net meat weight(25.5%),carcass lean weight(32.5%)and carcass fat weight(31.3%),respectively.The fresh weights of liver,kidney,rumen,longissimus dorsi and leg muscle of lambs drinking MW increased significantly,but there was no significant difference in their contents of DM,OM and CP.It is concluded that drinking MW is beneficial for increasing voluntary feed intake,digestibility,and ADG,and improving slaughter performance of lambs.Xie Jiaxun Luo Qiujiang Zang Changjiang Liu Shimin Pan Rong 2020Animal Husbandry and Feed Science2020,12,2:0
3Dose Response of Ruminal Microbial Flora and Metabolism of Sheep to Supplemental Polyacrylamide显示文摘[Objective] The paper was to test the effects of polyacrylamide(PAM) on ruminal microbial flora, activities of fibre-degrading enzymes and voluntary feed intake(VFI) of sheep. [Method] Five of 2-3 years old male Small-tail Han sheep, with body weight of(51.5±4.1) kg and fitted with permanent rumen fistula were used. By a 5×5 Latin square design, sheep were fed a basal diet supplemented with PAM at 0(control), 1.0, 2.0,3.0 and 6.0 g/kg diet, respectively. [Result] PAM supplementation affected VFI and ruminal indexes, and the peak values of them were at 2.0 g/kg diet by 17.9% for VFI, 56.6% for total bacteria, 18.3% for endocellulase, 19.4% for exocellulase and 16.5% for cellubiase( all P<0.05), respectively,compared with control. The NH3-N, protozoal counts, and the protease activity in rumen fluid were all linearly declined, but fungal counts increased linearly. No significant changes were found in pH, activities of xylanase and amylase of rumen fluid. The PCR copies of Fibrobacter succinogenes,Ruminococcus albus, Butyrivibrio fibrisolven and Selenomonas ruminantium increased to maximum of 21.4%, 22.7%, 22.6% and 20.6%(all above P<0.05), whereas these of Prevotella bryantii, Clostridium aminophilum, methanogens and microscopic counting of great coli decreased to maximum of 24.5%, 34.8%, 21.2% and 52.2%(all above P<0.05);but Salmonella bovis and Prevotella ruminicola were not affected by PAM. [Conclusion]PAM supplementation at 2.0 g/kg diet can reduce protozoa but increase bacteria, particularly those species for fibre digestion, and fungi in rumen.The effect of PAM on bacterial species was selective. 4In-situ electrochemical restructuring of Cu_(2)BiS_(x)solid solution into Bi/Cu_(x)S_(y)heterointerfaces enabling stabilization intermediates for high-performance CO_(2)electroreduction to formate显示文摘Bismuth-based materials are prevalent catalysts for CO_(2)electroreduction to formate,enduring high hydrogen evolution reactions and inadequate activity and stability.Herein,we reveal that in-situ electrochemical transformation of Cu_(2)BiS_(x)solid solution into Bi/Cu_(x)S_(y)heterointerfaces,which can stabilize the intermediates and achieve highly selective and consistent CO_(2)electroreduction.It shows over 85%Faraday efficiency(FE)of formate with a potential window of−0.8 to−1.2 VRHE(RHE:reversible hydrogen electrode)and a stability above 90%over 27 h in H-type cell at−0.9 VRHE.It maintains more than 85%of FEformate at the current density of−25 to−200 mA·cm^(−2),has stability of about 80%of FEformate at least 10 h at−150 mA·cm^(−2)in flow cell.In-situ Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR)spectroscopy measurement confirms that the preferred route of catalytic reaction is to generate *CO_(2)^(−) and *OCHO intermediates.The density functional theory(DFT)calculations illustrate that heterointerfaces facilitate the prior process of CO_(2)to HCOOH through *OCHO by additional Bi hybrid orbitals.This study is expected to open up a new idea for the design of CO_(2)electroreduction catalyst.Xiaofeng Yang Qinru Wang Feiran Chen Hu Zang Changjiang Liu Nan Yu Baoyou Geng 2023Nano Research2023,16,5:0
