7Modified inferior oblique anterior transposition for dissociated vertical deviation combined with superior oblique palsy:A case report显示文摘BACKGROUND Inferior oblique anterior transposition(IOAT)has emerged as an effective surgery in the management of dissociated vertical deviation(DVD)combined with superior oblique palsy(SOP).Traditional IOAT usually provides satisfactory primary position alignment and simultaneously restricts the superior floating phenomenon.However,it also increases the risk of the anti-elevation syndrome and narrowing of the palpebral fissure in straight-ahead gaze,especially after the unilateral operation.CASE SUMMARY We report the outcomes of the modified unilateral IOAT in two patients with unilateral DVD combined with SOP.The anterior-nasal fibers of the inferior oblique muscle were attached at 9 mm posterior to the corneal limbus along the temporal board of the inferior rectus muscle,the other fibers were attached a further 5 mm temporal to the anterior-nasal fibers.Postoperatively,both hypertropia and floating were improved,and no obvious complications occurred.CONCLUSION In these cases,the modified unilateral IOAT was an effective and safe surgical method for treating DVD with SOP.Yao Zong Ze Wang Wen-Lan Jiang Xian Yang 2023World Journal of Clinical Cases2023,11,12:0
8An Encoder/Decoder Scheme of OCDMA Based on Waveguide显示文摘A new encoder/decoder scheme of OCDMA based on waveguide is proposed in this paper. The principle as well as the structure of waveguide encoder/decoder is given. It can be seen that all optical OCDMA encoder/decoder can be realized by the proposed scheme of the waveguide encoder/decoder. It can also make the OCDMA encoder/decoder integrated easily and the access controlled easily. 9Determination of molecular energies via variational-based quantum imaginary time evolution in a superconducting qubit system显示文摘As a valid tool for solving ground state problems,imaginary time evolution(ITE)is widely used in physical and chemical simulations.Different ITE-based algorithms in their quantum counterpart have recently been proposed and applied to some real systems.We experimentally realize the variational-based quantum imaginary time evolution(QITE)algorithm to simulate the ground state energy of hydrogen(H_2)and lithium hydride(Li H)molecules in a superconducting qubit system.The H_2 molecule is directly simulated using the 3-qubit circuit with unitary-coupled clusters(UCC)ansatz.We also combine QITE with the cluster mean-field(CMF)method to obtain an effective Hamiltonian.The Li H molecule is correspondingly simulated using the 3-qubit circuit with hardware-efficient ansatz.For comparison,the Li H molecule is also directly simulated using the 4-qubit circuit with UCC ansatz at the equilibrium point.All the experimental results show a convergence within 4 iterations,with high-fidelity ground state energy obtained.For a more complex system in the future,the CMF may allow further grouping of interactions to obtain an effective Hamiltonian,then the hybrid QITE algorithm can possibly simulate a relatively large-scale system with fewer qubits.Zhiwen Zong Sainan Huai Tianqi Cai Wenyan Jin Ze Zhan Zhenxing Zhang Kunliang Bu Liyang Sui Ying Fei Yicong Zheng Shengyu Zhang Jianlan Wu Yi Yin 2024Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2024,67,4:0
10Asymmetric multilayered MXene-Ag NWs/cellulose nanofiber composite films with antibacterial properties for high-efficiency electromagnetic interference shielding显示文摘Flexible, lightweight, robust and versatile properties are essential for the next generation of wearable as well as intelligent electromagnetic interference(EMI) shielding materials. In this work, multilayered films containing cellulose nanofiber(CNF) layers, CNF/MXene layers, and CNF/silver nanowires(CNF/Ag NWs)layers were fabricated by an efficient and easy-to-use vacuum filtration method. Compared with a uniformly mixed film, the resultant layered composite films that loaded with a low MXene and AgNWs content exhibit superior mechanical properties with a tensile strength of 137 MPa, a strain at break of 5.7%, excellent EMI shielding effectiveness(EMI SE) of 61.9 d B, and higher EMI SE/t of 20,653 d B cm^(-1).This is attributed to the high-performance CNF substrate, the highly efficient layered structures, and extensive hydrogen-bonding interactions. In particular, a high degree of ohmic loss of multiple interfaces and polarization relaxation of local defects, as well as an abundance of terminal groups, favor the loss of electromagnetic waves(EMW) within the material. In addition, the prepared multifunctional layered composite films also show good antibacterial properties.
