| 4 | 5-Hydroxymethylfurfural from wine-processed Fructus corni inhibits hippocampal neuron apoptosis显示文摘Previous studies have shown that 5-hydroxymethylfurfural,a compound extracted from wineprocessed Fructus corni,has a protective effect on hippocampal neurons.The present study was designed to explore the related mechanisms.Our study revealed that high and medium doses(10,1μmol/L)of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural could improve the morphology of H2O2-treated rat hippocampal neurons as revealed by inverted phase-contrast microscopy and transmission electron microscopy.MTT results showed that incubation with high and medium doses of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural caused a significant increase in the viability of neuronal cells injured by H2O2.Flow cytometry assays confirmed that H2O2could induce cell apoptosis,while high and medium doses of5-hydroxymethylfurfural had a visible protective effect on apoptotic rat hippocampal neurons.Real-time PCR and western blot analysis showed that high and medium doses of5-hydroxymethylfurfural prevented H2O2-induced up-regulation of p53,Bax and caspase-3 and antagonized the down-regulation of Bcl-2 induced by H2O2treatment.These results suggested that5-hydroxymethylfurfural could inhibit apoptosis of cultured rat hippocampal neurons injured by H2O2via increase in Bcl-2 levels and decrease in p53,Bax and caspase-3 protein expression levels. | Hai Gu Zequn Jiang Mingyan Wang Haiying Jiang Fengming Zhao Xia Ding Baochang Cai Zhen Zhan | 2013 | Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,28: | 1 |

| 6 | Picture-Induced EEG Signal Classification Based on CVC Emotion Recognition System显示文摘Emotion recognition systems are helpful in human-machine interactions and Intelligence Medical applications.Electroencephalogram(EEG)is closely related to the central nervous system activity of the brain.Compared with other signals,EEG is more closely associated with the emotional activity.It is essential to study emotion recognition based on EEG information.In the research of emotion recognition based on EEG,it is a common problem that the results of individual emotion classification vary greatly under the same scheme of emotion recognition,which affects the engineering application of emotion recognition.In order to improve the overall emotion recognition rate of the emotion classification system,we propose the CSP_VAR_CNN(CVC)emotion recognition system,which is based on the convolutional neural network(CNN)algorithm to classify emotions of EEG signals.Firstly,the emotion recognition system using common spatial patterns(CSP)to reduce the EEG data,then the standardized variance(VAR)is selected as the parameter to form the emotion feature vectors.Lastly,a 5-layer CNN model is built to classify the EEG signal.The classification results show that this emotion recognition system can better the overall emotion recognition rate:the variance has been reduced to 0.0067,which is a decrease of 64%compared to that of the CSP_VAR_SVM(CVS)system.On the other hand,the average accuracy reaches 69.84%,which is 0.79%higher than that of the CVS system.It shows that the overall emotion recognition rate of the proposed emotion recognition system is more stable,and its emotion recognition rate is higher. | Huiping Jiang Zequn Wang Rui Jiao Shan Jiang | 2020 | Computers, Materials & Continua2020,,11: | 0 |
| 7 | Systematic analysis on expression quantitative trait loci identifies a novel regulatory variant in ring finger and WD repeat domain 3 associated with prognosis of pancreatic cancer显示文摘Background:Pancreatic adenocarcinoma(PAAD)is an extremely lethal malignancy.Identification of the functional genes and genetic variants related to PAAD prognosis is important and challenging.Previously identified prognostic genes from several expression profile analyses were inconsistent.The regulatory genetic variants that affect PAAD prognosis were largely unknown.Methods:Firstly,a meta-analysis was performed with seven published datasets to systematically explore the candidate prognostic genes for PAAD.Next,to identify the regulatory variants for those candidate genes,expression quantitative trait loci analysis was implemented with PAAD data resources from The Cancer Genome Atlas.Then,a two-stage association study in a total of 893 PAAD patients was conducted to interrogate the regulatory variants and find the prognostic locus.Finally,a series of biochemical experiments and phenotype assays were carried out to demonstrate the biological function of variation and genes in PAAD progression process.Results:A total of 128 genes were identified associated with the PAAD prognosis in the meta-analysis.Fourteen regulatory loci in 12 of the 128 genes were discovered,among which,only rs4887783,the functional variant in the promoter of Ring Finger and WD Repeat Domain 3(RFWD3),presented significant association with PAAD prognosis in both stages of the population study.Dualluciferase reporter and electrophoretic mobility shift assays demonstrated that rs4887783-G allele,which predicts the worse prognosis,enhanced the binding of transcript factor REST,thus elevating RFWD3 expression.Further phenotypic assays revealed that excess expression of RFWD3 promoted tumor cell migration without affecting their proliferation rate.RFWD3 was highly expressed in PAAD and might orchestrate the genes in the DNA repair process.Conclusions:RFWD3 and its regulatory variant are novel genetic factors for PAAD prognosis. | Ying Zhu Xiating Peng Xiaoyang Wang Pingting Ying Haoxue Wang Bin Li Yue Li Ming Zhang Yimin Cai Zequn Lu Siyuan Niu Nan Yang Rong Zhong Jianbo Tian Jiang Chang Xiaoping Miao | 2022 | Chinese Medical Journal2022,,11: | 0 |
| 8 | Emotion Recognition Using WT-SVM in Human-Computer Interaction显示文摘With the continuous development of the computer, people's requirements for computers are also getting more and more, so the brain-computer interface system (BCI) has become an essential part of computer research. Emotion recognition is an important task for the computer to understand social status in BCI. Affective computing (AC) aims to develop the model of emotions and advance the affective intelligence of computers. There are various emotion recognition approaches. The method based on electroencephalogram (EEG) is more reliable because it is higher in accuracy and more objective in evaluation than other external appearance clues such as emotion expression and gesture. In this paper, we use the wavelet transform (WT) to extract three kinds of EEG features in time, and frequency domain, which are sub-band energy, energy ratio and root mean square of wavelet coefficients. They reflect the emotion related to EEG activities well. The average classification accuracy of support vector machine (SVM) can reach 82.87%, which indicates that these three features are very effective in emotion recognition.
