| 1 | Inhalation treatment of primary lung cancer using liposomal curcumin dry powder inhalers显示文摘Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths. Traditional chemotherapy causes serious toxicity due to the wide bodily distribution of these drugs. Curcumin is a potential anticancer agent but its low water solubility, poor bioavailability and rapid metabolism significantly limits clinical applications. Here we developed a liposomal curcumin dry powder inhaler(LCD) for inhalation treatment of primary lung cancer. LCDs were obtained from curcumin liposomes after freeze-drying. The LCDs had a mass mean aerodynamic diameter of 5.81 μm and a fine particle fraction of 46.71%, suitable for pulmonary delivery. The uptake of curcumin liposomes by human lung cancer A549 cells was markedly greater and faster than that of free curcumin. The high cytotoxicity on A549 cells and the low cytotoxicity of curcumin liposomes on normal human bronchial BEAS-2B epithelial cells yielded a high selection index partly due to increased cell apoptosis. Curcumin powders, LCDs and gemcitabine were directly sprayed into the lungs of rats with lung cancer through the trachea. LCDs showed higher anticancer effects than the other two medications with regard to pathology and the expression of many cancer-related markers including VEGF, malondialdehyde, TNF-α, caspase-3 and BCL-2. | 2 | Postmarketing safety evaluation: depside salt injection made from Danshen(Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae)显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To systematically examine the postmarketing safety of depside salt injection made from Danshen(Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae),identifythe potential risk factors, and ensure its clinical safety.METHODS: We examined a comprehensive series of studies on the production process, quality standards, pharmacology, population pharmacokinetics, and safety evaluation of depside salt injection made from Danshen(Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae). Data from Ⅰ-Ⅳ clinical drug trials, hospital information systems(HIS), and spontaneous reporting systems(SRS) were also analyzed.RESULTS: The effective components of salvianolic acid salt content reached almost 100%, and the magnesium lithospermate B content reached morethan 80%. The median lethal dose(LD50) calculated by the Bliss method was 1.49 g/kg, with 95%confidence intervals of 1.29-1.72 g/kg. Long-term tests on Beagle dogs indicated that doses of less than 80 mg/kg were safe and doses of 320 mg/kg were toxic. Adverse drug reactions(ADRs) included digestive disorders; drug-induced erythrocyte deformation in lung, liver, spleen, kidney, bone marrow, intestinal mucosa, lymph nodes, and other tissues; megakaryocytes in lung, liver, and spleen resulting from mild hemolysis; and mild hyperplasia in bone marrow hematopoietic tissue. Other studies indicated no irritative effect of the injection on local tissues and blood vessels, and no allergic reactions, erythrocyte coagulation, or hemolysis. SRS data showed that the most common ADRs were headache, head distention, dizziness, facial flushing, skin itching, thrombocytopenia, and the reversibility of elevated Aspartate transaminase. HIS data indicated no damage to renal function from using depside salt injection made from Danshen(Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae) at a dosage higher than the recommended dose.CONCLUSION: This study analyzes the clinical characteristics of ADRs from depside salt injection made from Danshen(Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae),and discusses the factors influencing such reactions. | 4 | Promoted effect of zinc–nickel bimetallic oxides supported on HZSM-5 catalysts in aromatization of methanol显示文摘Zn/ZSM-5(NZ2) and Zn/Ni/ZSM-5(NZ3) as the catalysts for methanol to aromatics(MTA) were synthesized by a simple ultrasonic impregnation. The textural and acid properties of all catalysts were characterized using XRD, HRTEM, NH_3-TPD, Py-IR, XPS, XRF and TG techniques. The XRD and HRTEM results showed that the basic zeolite structures were not affected much with the incorporation of Zn and Ni species. However, great changes have taken place in acid properties. The Py-IR and XPS results indicated that the Zn-Lewis acid sites(ZnOH^+ species), which have stronger interaction with the zeolite framework compared with ZnO species, were generated at the expense of B acid sites with the incorporation of zinc species. Moreover, the product analysis results showed that the incorporation of zinc species promoted the primary aromatization by enhancing the dehydroaromatization and suppressing the cracking and subsequent H-transfer reaction. Furthermore, the addition of Ni species well inhibited the loss of zinc species by converting partial ZnO species to ZnOH^+ species, and thus improved the aromatization activity and catalyst stability. The catalytic performance results showed that the NZ3 possess higher conversion of methanol in a longer time and lower average rate of coke formation compared with NZ2. | 6 | Carbon Storage and Vertical Distribution in Three Shrubland Communities in Gurbantünggüt Desert,Uygur AutonomousRegion of Xinjiang,Northwest China显示文摘This study was carried out in the Gurbantünggüt Desert,Uygur Autonomous Region of Xinjiang,Northwest China in August,2009.To quantify the storage,contribution and vertical distribution patterns of plant biomass carbon (PBC)and soil organic carbon(SOC)in the study area,we investigated the carbon concentrations and its vertical distribution in three different desert shrubland communities dominated by Reaumuria soongorica,Haloxylon ammodendron+R.soongorica and Tamarix ramosissima+R.soongorica,respectively.We analyzed vertical distribution of root biomass carbon and soil carbon contents by excavating soil profiles for each dominated community.The results show that SOC is considerably the larger carbon pool in the soil layers of 1.0-3.0 m(the mean value of three shrubland communities is 38.46%)and 3.0-5.0 m(the mean value is 40.24%).In contrast,70.74%of belowground biomass carbon storage in 0-1.0 m layer,and its content decrease with increasing soil depth.The Haloxylon ammodendron+R. soongorica shrubland community has the highest belowground biomass carbon among three selected communities. | 8 | Post-marketing safety monitoring of Shenqifuzheng injection: a solution made of Dangshen(Radix Codonopsis)and Huangqi(Radix Astragali Mongolici)显示文摘OBJECTIVE:Toidentify the potential risk factors associated with Shenqifuzheng injection(SFI), a solution made of Dangshen(Radix Codonopsis) and Huangqi(Radix Astragali Mongolici), for the timely provision of information to regulatory authorities.METHODS: A comprehensive analysis of the production process, quality standards, pharmacology,post-marketing clinical studies, and safety evaluation using the primary literature of adverse reactions(ADR), case analyses, and systematic reviews,intensive hospital safety monitoring of post-marketing drugs, and data provided by the hospital in-formationsystem(HIS).RESULTS: Sub-acute toxicity tests suggesting that a dose of 15 mL/kg(concentrated solution) had specific biological effects, whereas a smaller dose engendered no observable effects. Long-term toxicity testing in domestic rabbits showed that after SFI was administered for 90 days, the animals in each dosing group showed no chronic toxic reactions. Among 20 100 cases observed, the incidence of an ADR was 1.85‰. From March to November 2013,of the leading institutions and 22 sub-centers involved in the post-marketing clinical safety intensive hospital monitoring, 21 units completed 8484 cases of monitoring, and reported 23 cases of adverse reactions. No damage to renal function was found using SFI ata dosageanda treatment course larger and longer than that recommended for the adjuvant treatment of tumors. This could reduce the mortality rate of admitted patients based on the analysis of the data provided by the HIS. A total of 16 clinical case reports of adverse reactions related to SFI in 1999-2012 were obtained through literature retrieval. | 10 | Influence of liquid water on coalbed methane adsorption:An experimental research on coal reservoirs in the south of Qinshui Basin显示文摘Using Isothermal Adsorption/Desorption System Model IS-100 and Electrohydraulic Servo Rock System Model MTS815 as the main apparatuses and collecting samples from the major coal reservoirs in the south of Qinshui Basin, a hot point region of coalbed methane exploration, the paper carries out systematical comparisons of the isothermal adsorption experimental data for injection water coal samples, equilibrium moisture samples and dry coal samples, probes and establishes an experimental method of injection water coal sample preparation and isothermal experiment to simulate real reservoir conditions, and then summaries the experimental regulations and discusses the mechanism of liquid water influencing coal methane adsorption. Results of the experiment indicate that: The Langmuir volume of injection water coal samples is notably larger than that of equilibrium moisture samples, as well as larger than or equivalent to that of dry coal samples; the Langmuir pressure of injection water coal samples is the highest, the next is equilibrium moisture samples, while the dry samples is the lowest, of which the experimental results of injection water samples to simulate real reservoir conditions are more close to the fact. Under the conditions of in-position reservoirs, liquid water in coals has evident influence on methane adsorption ability of coal matrix, which can increase the adsorbability of coal and make the adsorption regulation fit to Langmuir model better. Its major reason is the increase of wetting coal matrix adsorbability. | 12 | cDNA cloning and expression of erythropoietin in the plateau zokor(Myospalax baileyi) from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau显示文摘All organisms respond to variation in their environments and manage environmental stress through metabolic adjustments.The plateau zokor(Myospalax baileyi) is an endemic and keystone subterranean rodent species that inhabits the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau between 2800 and 4200 m above sea level.It is a hypoxic-tolerant mammal with a high ratio of oxygen utilization that enables it to cope with its harsh surroundings.To explore the molecular mechanism of altitude acclimatization of the plateau zokor,we cloned the zokor erythropoietin(Epo) gene and used real-time PCR to compare Epo mRNA levels in zokors inhabiting 16 different altitudes.The full-length zokor Epo open reading frame was 579 bp that encoded a precursor peptide of 192 amino acids with a signal peptide of 26 residues.The Epo gene of the plateau zokor was 81%-95% homologous to that of human,mouse,rat,root vole and the Golan Heights blind mole rat,with the highest homology(95%) to species of the genus Spalax.Epo mRNA was detected mainly in the zokor kidney and spleen among 8 selected tissues.The level of Epo mRNA increased in the liver and kidney with increases in altitude.The increase in the kidney was 5 times that in the liver.Remarkably,expression of Epo mRNA in the kidney of zokors living at the highest altitude(4268 m) was 12-fold higher than that of zokors living at the lowest(2492 m) altitude.These findings provide essential information for understanding the possible role of Epo in adaptation to hypoxia in the plateau zokor. | WANG ZhenLong CHEN Yan YANG Jie CHEN WeiJun ZHANG YanMing ZHAO XinQuan | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,9: | 4 |
| 13 | Feasibility study on application of volume acid fracturing technology to tight gas carbonate reservoir development显示文摘How to effectively develop tight-gas carbonate reservoir and achieve high recovery is always a problem for the oil and gas industry.To solve this problem,domestic petroleum engineers use the combination of the successful experiences of North American shale gas pools development by stimulated reservoir volume(SRV)fracturing with the research achievements of Chinese tight gas development by acid fracturing to propose volume acid fracturing technology for fractured tightgas carbonate reservoir,which has achieved a good stimulation effect in the pilot tests.To determine what reservoir conditions are suitable to carry out volume acid fracturing,this paper firstly introduces volume acid fracturing technology by giving the stimulation mechanism and technical ideas,and initially analyzes the feasibility by the comparison of reservoir characteristics of shale gas with tight-gas carbonate.Then,this paper analyzes the validity and limitation of the volume acid fracturing technology via the analyses of control conditions for volume acid fracturing in reservoir fracturing performance,natural fracture,horizontal principal stress difference,orientation of insitu stress and natural fracture,and gives the solution for the limitation.The study results show that the volume acid fracturing process can be used to greatly improve the flow environment of tight-gas carbonate reservoir and increase production;the incremental or stimulation response is closely related with reservoir fracturing performance,the degree of development of natural fracture,the small intersection angle between hydraulic fracture and natural fracture,the large horizontal principal stress difference is easy to form a narrow fracture zone,and it is disadvantageous to create fracture network,but the degradable fiber diversion technology may largely weaken the disadvantage.The practices indicate that the application of volume acid fracturing process to the tight-gas carbonate reservoir development is feasible in the Ordovician Majiagou Formation of lower Paleozoic,which is of great significance and practical value for domestic tight-gas carbonate reservoir development and studies in the future. | Nianyin Li Jinxin Dai Chao Liu Pingli Liu Yanming Zhang Zhifeng Luo Liqiang Zhao | 2015 | Petroleum2015,1,3: | 4 |

| 15 | Postmarketing studies on safety of Dengfeng~ shenmai injection显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To systematically research the postmarketing safety of Dengfeng shenmai injection, identify potential risk factors, and ensure its clinical safety. METHODS: We investigated a comprehensive series of studies on the production process, quality standards, pharmacology, postmarketing clinical studies, and safety evaluation of Shenmai injection, including literature analysis of adverse drug reaction(ADR) case analysis and systematic review. Data from the hospital information system(HIS) and spontaneous reporting system(SRS) were also analyzed. RESULTS: The approximate dosage leading to death in dogs is 45.0-67.5 g raw drug/kg and the toxic reactions are restlessness, skin irritation, salivation, and vomiting. The results of chronic toxicity tests in mice and dogs, and the other tests such as 6-month toxicity, drug safety, genetic toxicity, and reproductive toxicity of rats and dogs, were positive or qualified. Patient ADR history and ADR family history were closely associated with itching based on the data analysis from SRS. There was no damage to renal function from Shenmai injection use at a dosage and a treatment course outside the recommended dosage and treatment course as specified based on data analysis from HIS. The most common ADR from Shenmai injection are difficulty breathing, facial flushing, nausea, vomiting, chest tightness, skin itching, rash, and back pain. CONCLUSION: This study includes complete information on Shenmai injection ADR incidence rate. | 16 | Using big data to track marine oil transportation along the 21st-century Maritime Silk Road显示文摘China's designation of the '21 st-century Maritime Silk Road'(MSR) region is of extraordinary significance to its maritime rights, transportation security, and socio-economic development. We developed a technical framework allowing the use of 'big data' derived from the Automatic Identification System(AIS, an automatic ship-tracking network) for two purposes: the accurate mapping of oil tanker trajectories and the creation of heat maps showing the relative use of oil tanker routes and marine shipping chokepoints. We then applied these methods to 1.5 billion AIS records collected within the MSR in 2014 to statistically identify and analyze busy routes, areas, and chokepoints in this strategic region. | 18 | Establishment of safety evidence for Xingxue~ Shuxuening injection显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To systematically investigate the safety of Xingxue~ Shuxuening injection(SXN) in preand post-marketing, and to ensure clinical drug safety.METHODS: Strict quality control in raw herb selection and production processes was adopted and pharmacology research on SXN was performed by the drug manufacturing company, Heilongjiang ZBD Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. We systematically reviewed the safety literature of Xingxue~ SXN. Adverse drug reaction(ADR) data of the drug, extracted from Spontaneous Reporting System(SRS), and clinical characters based on 20 hospital information systems(HIS) in China, were analyzed. Large-scale prospective safety monitoring and Risk Minimization Action Plans(Risk MAPs) of Xingxue~SXN were carried out.RESULTS: The quality of SXN was stable and controllable when it was produced. Drug toxicology studies found no effect on rabbits with hemolytic or condensed, local stimulation and muscle stimulation, and no allergic reactions in guinea pigs. The ADRs of Xingxue~ SXN were dizziness, phlebitis,and vomiting based on SRS data. The injection did not conform to instructions in clinical practice when we analyzed HIS database, and patient’s abnormal blood urea nitrogen levels may be related to the drug, when analyzed using the propensity score method. A nested case-control study was designed and performed to analyze the influencing factors of suspected allergic reactions to SXN. The study showed that patients with an allergy history were more prone to allergic reactions(P<0.001),and some medicine combinations could cause allergic reactions.CONCLUSION: These studies have established a body of evidence on Xingxue~ SXN safety, and provide a good model for Chinese medicine injection for clinical safety. The Xingxue~ SXN production process and toxicology research indicate the safety of the injection. However, the use of the injection is not consistent with instructed clinical practice.Xingxue~ SXN causes ADRs perhaps from inappropriate usage or its pharmacological action. | 19 | The Combined Effect of Plastic Particles Size and Concentration on Rotifers’ (Brachionus plicatilis) Performance显示文摘The presence of microplastics in aquatic ecosystems is of increasing global concern.Nano-sized plastics,in particular,can penetrate the cell membrane and cause biological death.Our study evaluated the combined impacts of several polystyrene mi-crospheres’sizes and nominal concentrations on the overall performance changes of Brachionus plicatilis.Experimental animals were exposed to three microplastic sizes(0.08,0.5 and 6μm)and five nominal concentrations(0,0.5,2,8,32μg mL−1)for 20 d.Our results showed that the toxicological effect of particle size on rotifers did not significantly depend on the nominal concentration.The interaction between the nominal concentration and size occurred only for body length and lorica width.Specifically,high nominal concentrations of microplastics that were close to nanometer size significantly impaired the overall vitality of rotifers,embodied in shortage of body type,delay in the arrival of maturity,reduction in the cumulative number of neonates,and the advance of the death process.In comparison,fair-sized size(0.5 and 6μm)displayed non-significant damage except for individual groups.Most notably,the net reproductive yield was only a third of what it was in the original environment,implying that there was not much fertility left.Besides,with the development of rotifers,the adverse effects of polystyrene microsphere drive had become more and more serious. | SUI Yanming WANG Senyang MOHSEN Mohamed ZHANG Longsheng SHEN Mengyan LIU Zhiquan NGUYEN Haidang ZHANG Shengmao LI Kaixing LV Linlan DONG Xuexing | 2022 | Journal of Ocean University of China2022,21,2: | 3 |
