Studies on classification, criteria and control of rockbursts显示文摘This paper attempts to present the findings involving rockbursts classification, rockburst failure criteria, and related control measures.Experimental investigations were performed using the strainburst testing machine and impact-induced rockburst testing machine.According to the stress paths and experimental methods, rockbursts were classified into two major groups,i.e.the strainbursts and impact-induced bursts. The mechanisms and criteria of rockburst obtained from experimental investigations were discussed. Then, the developments of constant-resistance and large-deformation bolt(CRLDB),which can adapt itself to the external loading at a constant resistance by elongating continually, were introduced. The deformation energy of country rocks with large deformation can be absorbed by CRLDBs.Finally, the principles and the experimental results for control and prevention of rockburst using the CRLDBs were presented.Manchao He Hongman Xia Xuena Jia Weili Gong Fei Zhao Kangyuan Liang 2012Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2012,4,2:21
Characterization of 500 Chinese patients with cervical esophageal cancer by clinicopathological and treatment outcomes显示文摘Objective: There are no comprehensive studies on survival outcomes and optimal treatment protocols for cervical esophageal cancer(CEC), due to its rare clinical prevalence. Our objective was to determine the relationship between pathological characteristics, treatment protocols, and survival outcomes in Chinese CEC patients. Methods: A total of 500 Chinese CEC patients were selected from our 500,000 esophageal and gastric cardia carcinoma database(1973–2018). There were two main groups: patients treated with surgery, and patients receiving non-surgical treatments(radiotherapy, radiochemotherapy, and chemotherapy). The Chi-square test and Kaplan–Meier method were used to compare the continuous variables and survival. Results: Among the 500 CEC patients, 278(55.6%) were male, and the median age was 60.9 ± 9.4 years. A total of 496 patients(99.2%) were diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma. In 171(34.2%) patients who received surgery, 22(12.9%) had undergone laryngectomy. In 322(64.4%) patients who received non-surgical treatments, 245(76.1%) received radiotherapy. Stratified survival analysis showed that only T stage was related with survival outcomes for CEC patients in the surgical group, and the outcomes between laryngectomy and non-laryngectomy patients were similar. It was noteworthy that the 5-year survival rate was similar in CEC patients among the different groups treated with surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, or radiochemotherapy(P = 0.244). Conclusions: The CEC patients had similar survival outcomes after curative esophagectomy and radiotherapy, including those with or without total laryngectomy. These findings suggest that radiotherapy could be the initial choice for treatment of Chinese CEC patients.Peinan Chen Xueke Zhao Fuyou Zhou Xin Song Shoujia Hu Yan Jin Xianzeng Wang Xuena Han ZongminFan Ran Wang Bei Li Wenli Han Panpan Wang Jilin Li Lixin Wan Liguo Zhang Qide Bao Fubao Chang Yanru Qin Zhiwei Chang Jianwei Ku Haijun Yang Ling Yuan Jingli Ren Xuemin Li Lidong Wang 2020Cancer Biology & Medicine2020,17,1:6
Distinct functions of Trio GEF domains in axon outgrowth of cerebellar granule neurons显示文摘As a critical guanine nucleotide exchange factor(GEF) regulating neurite outgrowth, Trio coordinates multiple processes of cytoskeletal dynamics through activating Rac1, Cdc42 and RhoA small GTPases by two GEF domains, but the in vivo roles of these GEF domains and corresponding downstream effectors have not been determined yet. We established multiple lines of knockout mice and assessed the respective roles of Trio GEF domains and Rac1 in axon outgrowth. Knockout of total Trio in cerebellar granule neurons(CGNs) led to an impaired F-actin rearrangement of growth cone and hence a retarded neurite outgrowth. Such a retardation was reproduced by inhibition of GEF1 domain or knockdown of Cdc42 and restored apparently by introduction of active Cdc42. As Rac1 deficiency did not affect the neurite outgrowth of CGNs, we suggested that Trio GEF1-mediated Cdc42 activation was required for neurite outgrowth. We established a GEF2-knockout line with deletion of all Trio isoforms except a cerebella-specific Trio8, a short isoform of Trio without GEF2 domain, and used this line as a GEF2-deficient animal model. The GEF2-deficient CGNs had a normal neurite outgrowth but abolished Netrin-1-promoted growth, without affecting Netrin-1 induced Rac1 activation. We thus suggested that Trio GEF1-mediated Cdc42 activation rather than Rac1 activation drives the F-actin dynamics necessary for neurite outgrowth, while GEF2 functions in Netrin-1-promoted neurite elongation. Our results delineated the distinct roles of Trio GEF domains in neurite outgrowth, which is instructive to understand the pathogenesis of clinical Trio-related neurodevelopmental disorders.Tao Tao Jie Sun Yajing Peng Pei Wang Xin Chen Wei Zhao Yeqiong Li Lisha Wei Wei Wang Yanyan Zheng Ye Wang Xuena Zhang Min-Sheng Zhu 2019Journal of Genetics and Genomics2019,46,2:1

Efficacy of oral epigallocatechin-3-gallate solution administration during radiotherapy for non-small-cell lung cancer patients: A long-term observational study显示文摘Objective:Several studies have found that epigallocatechin-3-gallate(EGCG)can alleviate acute radiation-induced esophagitis, inhibit pulmonary inflammation and fibrosis, and reduce the severity of cardiovascular disease. Therefore, this study was aimed at exploring the influence of EGCG on late radiation toxicity in the heart, esophagus, and lungs among patients with locally advanced lung cancer. Methods:The patients were divided into an EGCG group and a control group, the groups received EGCG and symptomatic treatment, respectively. The Radiation Therapy Oncology Group/European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer Late Radiation Morbidity Scoring Scheme was used to determine the late toxicity scores.Tumor responses were evaluated by chest computed tomography(CT),based on the Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors version 1.1.Results:We retrospectively analyzed 74 patients treated at our hospital from September 2012 to September 2016(37 patients received EGCG and 37 received supportive treatment). The late toxicity scores of the EGCG group decreased compared to those of the control group. An obvious clinical significance was observed for the oral EGCG solution in the treatment and prevention of late cardiac, esophageal, and pulmonary toxicity. However,no significant difference was found(P>0.05).The tumor response rates were similar in the two groups. Moreover, there was no difference in progression-free survival(PFS)between the groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Oral EGCG solution might alleviate radiation-induced late cardiac, esophageal, and pulmonary toxicity but has no significant effect on the tumor response rate and PFS following radiotherapy.Xuena Niu Hanxi Zhao Wanqi Zhu Yahui Zhao Xiaolan Cao Ligang Xing 2020Radiation Medicine and Protection2020,1,2:0
INFERENCE ON THE RANK OF THE GROWTH CURVE MODEL USING MODEL SELECTION METHOD显示文摘In this paper we study the estimation of the rank of the parameter trix(RPM) in a growth curve model in the framework of model selection. Following AIC criterion we propose a new general criterion and obtain a strongly consistent estimate of the RPM. We come to our conclusions under the assumptions of normal population and a general case separately.ZHAO Lincheng WANG Xuena WU Yaohua (Department of Statistics and Finance, University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei 230026, China) 2001Journal of Systems Science & Complexity2001,14,2:0
