1The synergistic effect of micro structure/nanofiller/superhydrophobicity on the surface flashover显示文摘The surface flashover is affected by many factors,such as surface roughness,nanofillers and chemical functional groups.In this research study,polyamide mesh was utilised as a scaffold to systematically study the synergistic effect of micro structure/nanofiller/superhydrophobicity on the surface flashover.Based on the dissolution and resolidification method,nanofillers were partially embedded into the mesh fabrics.Here,Al_(2)O_(3)nanoparticles were used as a typical non-conductive nanofiller,and carbon nanotubes were used as a typical conductive nanofiller.Moreover,the micro structure was determined by altering the mesh size,and chemical fluorination was utilised to change the surface chemical group.It was found that the polyamide mesh with 300#demonstrated best anti-flashover properties.Chemical fluorination could effectively improve the flashover voltage.By further adjusting the ratio of Al_(2)O_(3)to carbon nanotubes,the flashover voltage can be increased by up to 30%.Qing Xie Guoshuang Ma Peng Wang Xuesong Zhang Jiyuan Yan Zhaochen Liu Fangcheng Lü 2022High Voltage2022,7,6:1
2Development and formation of wing cuticle based on transcriptomic analysis in Locusta migratoria during metamorphosis显示文摘Wings are an important flight organ of insects.Wing development is a complex process controlled by a series of genes.The flightless wing pad transforms into a mature wing with the function of migratory flight during the nymphto-adult metamorphosis.However,the mechanism of wing morphogenesis in locusts is still unclear.This study analyzed the microstructures of the locust wing pads at pre-eclosion and the wings after eclosion and performed the comparative transcriptome analysis.RNA-seq identified 25,334 unigenesand 3,430 differentially expressed genes(DEGs)(1,907 up-regulated and 1,523 down-regulated).The DEGs mainly included cuticle development(LmACPs),chitin metabolism(Lm Idgf4),lipid metabolism-related genes,cell adhesion(Integrin),zinc finger transcription factors(LmSalm,LmZF593 andLmZF521),and others.Functional analysis based on RNA interference and hematoxylin and eosin(H&E)staining showed that the three genes encoded zinc finger transcription factors are essential for forming wing cuticle and maintaining morphology in Locusta migratoria.Finally,the study found that the LmSalm regulates the expression of LmACPs in the wing pads at pre-eclosion,and LmZF593 and LmZF521 regulate the expression of LmIntegrin/LmIdgf4/LmHMT420 in the wings after eclosion.This study revealed that the molecular regulatory axis controls wing morphology in nymphal and adult stages of locusts,offering a theoretical basis for the study of wing development mechanisms in hemimetabolous insects.Jing Zhang Zhaochen Wu Shuo Li He Huang Suning Liu Weimin Liu Xiaoming Zhao Jianzhen Zhang 2024Journal of Integrative Agriculture2024,23,4:0
3Remote sensing of subtropical tree diversity:The underappreciated roles of the practical definition of forest canopy and phenological variation显示文摘Tree species diversity is vital for maintaining ecosystem functions,yet our ability to map the distribution of tree diversity is limited due to difficulties in traditional field-based approaches.Recent developments in spaceborne remote sensing provide unprecedented opportunities to map and monitor tree diversity more efficiently.Here we built partial least squares regression models using the multispectral surface reflectance acquired by Sentinel-2 satellites and the inventory data from 74 subtropical forest plots to predict canopy tree diversity in a national natural reserve in eastern China.In particular,we evaluated the underappreciated roles of the practical definition of forest canopy and phenological variation in predicting tree diversity by testing three different definitions of canopy trees and comparing models built using satellite imagery of different seasons.Our best models explained 42%–63%variations in observed diversities in cross-validation tests,with higher explanation power for diversity indices that are more sensitive to abundant species.The models built using imageries from early spring and late autumn showed consistently better fits than those built using data from other seasons,highlighting the significant role of transitional phenology in remotely sensing plant diversity.Our results suggested that the cumulative diameter(60%–80%)of the biggest trees is a better way to define the canopy layer than using the subjective fixeddiameter-threshold(5–12 cm)or the cumulative basal area(90%–95%)of the biggest trees.Remarkably,these approaches resulted in contrasting diversity maps that call attention to canopy structure in remote sensing of tree diversity.This study demonstrates the potential of mapping and monitoring tree diversity using the Sentinal-2 data in species-rich forests.Yongchao Liu Ruyun Zhang Chen-Feng Lin Zhaochen Zhang Ran Zhang Kankan Shang Mingshui Zhao Jingyue Huang Xiaoning Wang You Li Yulin Zeng Yun-Peng Zhao Jian Zhang Dingliang Xing 2023Forest Ecosystems2023,10,3:0
