1SECTIONAL FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS OF COUPLED DEFORMATION BETWEEN ELASTOPLASTIC SHEET METAL AND VISCO-ELASTOPLASTIC BODY显示文摘The present paper is devoted to developing a new numerical simulation method for the analysis of viscous pressure forming (VPF), which is a sheet flexible-die forming (FDF) process. The pressure-carrying medium used in VPF is one kind of semisolid, flowable and viscous material and its deformation behavior can be described by the visco-elastoplastic constitutive model. A sectional finite element model for the coupled deformation analysis between the visco- elastoplastic pressure-carrying medium and the elastoplastic sheet metal is proposed. The resolution of the Updated Lagrangian (UL) formulation is based on a static explicit approach. The frictional contact between sheet metal and visco-elastoplastic pressure-carrying medium is treated by the penalty function method. Coupled deformation between sheet metal and visco-elastoplastic pressure-carrying medium with large slip is analyzed to validate the developed algorithm. Finally, the viscous pressure bulging (VPB) process of DC06 sheet metal is simulated. 2Predicting heavy metals' adsorption edges and adsorption isotherms on MnO_2 with the parameters determined from Langmuir kinetics显示文摘Although surface complexation models have been widely used to describe the adsorption of heavy metals, few studies have verified the feasibility of modeling the adsorption kinetics,edge, and isotherm data with one p H-independent parameter. A close inspection of the derivation process of Langmuir isotherm revealed that the equilibrium constant derived from the Langmuir kinetic model, K S-kinetic, is theoretically equivalent to the adsorption constant in Langmuir isotherm, K S-Langmuir. The modified Langmuir kinetic model(MLK model) and modified Langmuir isotherm model(MLI model) incorporating p H factor were developed. The MLK model was employed to simulate the adsorption kinetics of Cu(II), Co(II), Cd(II), Zn(II) and Ni(II) on Mn O2 at p H 3.2 or 3.3 to get the values of K S-kinetic. The adsorption edges of heavy metals could be modeled with the modified metal partitioning model(MMP model), and the values of K S-Langmuir were obtained. The values of K S-kinetic and K S-Langmuir are very close to each other, validating that the constants obtained by these two methods are basically the same. The MMP model with K S-kinetic constants could predict the adsorption edges of heavy metals on Mn O2 very well at different adsorbent/adsorbate concentrations. 4Viscous Inner and Outer Pressure Forming Method of Thin-walled Tube and Its Application显示文摘Aiming at overcoming the difficulties in integral forming of thin-walled tubes with complex shapes, a novel forming method by inner and outer pressure through viscous was proposed. In this method, by dividing large deformation of the part into inner and outer pressure forming deformations, the limit deformation of tube part can be increased by several times. Meanwhile, the principle of viscous inner and outer pressure forming was provided, and key problems during the forming process such as reduction of the wall-thickness and instability wrinkling were analyzed. Thereby, the complex curved surface super-alloy GH3044 thin-walled tube with varying diameter ratio of 1.35(the ratio between the maximum and minimum diameters of the part) can be integrally formed by this method. The experimental surface of the formed part is superior in quality and the wall-thickness distribution is uniform. 5High-performance polarization management devices based on thin-film lithium niobate显示文摘High-speed polarization management is highly desirable for many applications,such as remote sensing,telecommunication,and medical diagnosis.However,most of the approaches for polarization management rely on bulky optical components that are slow to respond,cumbersome to use,and sometimes with high drive voltages.Here,we overcome these limitations by harnessing photonic integrated circuits based on thin-film lithium niobate platform.We successfully realize a portfolio of thin-film lithium niobate devices for essential polarization management functionalities,including arbitrary polarization generation,fast polarization measurement,polarization scrambling,and automatic polarization control.The present devices feature ultra-fast control speeds,low drive voltages,low optical losses and compact footprints.Using these devices,we achieve high fidelity polarization generation with a polarization extinction ratio up to 41.9 dB and fast polarization scrambling with a scrambling rate up to 65 Mrad s−1,both of which are best results in integrated optics.We also demonstrate the endless polarization state tracking operation in our devices.The demonstrated devices unlock a drastically new level of performance and scales in polarization management devices,leading to a paradigm shift in polarization management.Zhongjin Lin Yanmei Lin Hao Li Mengyue Xu Mingbo He Wei Ke Heyun Tan Ya Han Zhaohui Li Dawei Wang X.Steve Yao Songnian Fu Siyuan Yu Xinlun Cai 2022Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,5:3

8Molecular simulations of charged complex fluids: A review显示文摘Molecular simulation plays an increasingly important role in studying the properties of complex fluid systems containing charges,such as ions,piezoelectric materials,ionic liquids,ionic surfactants,polyelectrolytes,zwitterionic materials,nucleic acids,proteins,biomembranes and etc.,where the electrostatic interactions are of special significance.Several methods have been available for treating the electrostatic interactions in explicit and implicit solvent models.Accurate and efficient treatment of such interactions has therefore always been one of the most challenging issues in classical molecular dynamics simulations due to their inhomogeneity and long-range characteristics.Currently,two major challenges remain in the application field of electrostatic interactions in molecular simulations;(i)improving the representation of electrostatic interactions while reducing the computational costs in molecular simulations;(ii)revealing the role of electrostatic interactions in regulating the specific properties of complex fluids.In this review,the calculation methods of electrostatic interactions,including basic principles,applicable conditions,advantages and disadvantages are summarized and compared.Subsequently,the specific role of electrostatic interactions in governing the properties and behaviors of different complex fluids is emphasized and explained.Finally,challenges and perspective on the computational study of charged systems are given.Zhiyong Xu Zhongjin He Xuebo Quan Delin Sun Zhaohong Miao Hai Yu Shengjiang Yang Zheng Chen Jinxiang Zeng Jian Zhou 2021Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,3:2
9Solution procedure of residue harmonic balance method and its applications显示文摘This paper presents a simple and rigorous solution procedure of residue harmonic balance for predicting the accurate approximation of certain autonomous ordinary differential systems.In this solution procedure,no small parameter is assumed.The harmonic residue of balance equation is separated in two parts at each step.The first part has the same number of Fourier terms as the present order of approximation and the remaining part is used in the subsequent improvement.The corrections are governed by linear ordinary differential equation so that they can be solved easily by means of harmonic balance method again.Three kinds of different differential equations involving general,fractional and delay ordinary differential systems are given as numerical examples respectively.Highly accurate limited cycle frequency and amplitude are captured.The results match well with the exact solutions or numerical solutions for a wide range of control parameters.Comparison with those available shows that the residue harmonic balance solution procedure is very effective for these autonomous differential systems.Moreover,the present method works not only in predicting the amplitude but also the frequency of bifurcated period solution for delay ordinary differential equation.GUO ZhongJin LEUNG A Y T MA XiaoYan 2014Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2014,57,8:2

13Finite Element Analysis and Experiment on Viscous Warm Pressure Bulging of AZ31B Magnesium Alloy显示文摘Aiming at overcoming the low plasticity of magnesium alloy at room temperature, we researched viscous warm pressure bulging(VWPB) of AZ31B magnesium alloy based on the excellent thermal stability of viscous medium under the warm forming condition. The potential improvements of plastic deformation ability and forming quality of AZ31B magnesium alloy are expected with the aid of thermal characteristics of viscous medium. During bulging process the velocity field variation and pressure stress field distribution of viscous medium are observed at different temperatures through which the effect of temperature on the mechanical property of viscous medium and AZ31B magnesium alloy are analyzed. The results show that the formability of AZ31B magnesium alloy increases first and then decreases as the temperature increases and it is the best at 200 ℃. 14Coordination behavior between zinc salts and L-α-methionine显示文摘The solubility properties of ZnCl\-2/ZnAc\-2/ZnSO\-4MetH\-2O systems at 25℃ in the whole cocentration range have been investigated by phase equilibrium method. The results indicate that ZnAc\-2 and ZnSO\-4 systems are both simple systems, which do not exist any compound; there are 2 complexes formed in ZnCl\-2 system: Zn(Met)Cl\-2 and Zn(Met)\-2Cl\-2·2H\-2O. Under the direction of phase equilibrium result, 2 solid complexes have been prepared in water and characterized by chemical analysis, IR, Xray diffraction. 20Chip-scale full-Stokes spectropolarimeter in silicon photonic circuits显示文摘Wavelength dependent polarization state of light carries crucial information about light-matter interactions.However,its measurement is limited to bulky,high energy-consuming devices,which prohibits many modern,portable applications.Here,we propose and demonstrate a chip-scale spectropolarimeter implemented using a complementary metal oxide semiconductor compatible silicon photonics technology.Four compact Vernier microresonator spectrometers are monolithically integrated with a broadband polarimeter consisting of a 2D nanophotonic antenna and a polarimetric circuit to achieve full-Stokes spectropolarimetric analysis.The proposed device offers a solid-state spectropolarimetry solution with a small footprint of 1 mm × 0.6 mm and low power consumption of 360 mW.Full-Stokes spectral detection across a broad spectral range of 50 nm with a resolution of 1 nm is demonstrated in characterizing a material possessing structural chirality.The proposed device may enable a broader application of spectropolarimetry in the fields ranging from biomedical diagnostics and chemical analysis to observational astronomy.ZHONGJIN LIN TIGRAN DADALYAN SIMON BELANGER-DE VILLERS TIGRAN GALSTIAN WEI SHI 2020Photonics Research2020,8,6:1
