1Prognostic factors of refractory NSCLC patients receiving anlotinib hydrochloride as the third-or further-line treatment显示文摘Objective:Anlotinib hydrochloride is a multitarget tyrosine kinase inhibitor that targets vascular endothelial growth factor receptor,fibroblast growth factor receptor,platelet-derived growth factor receptor,c-Kit,and c-MET;therefore,it exhibits both antitumor and anti-angiogenetic activities.A phase III trial has shown that anlotinib improved progression-free survival(PFS)and overall survival(OS)in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC),who presented with progressive disease or intolerance after standard chemotherapy.This study aimed to analyze the characteristics of patients receiving anlotinib treatment to determine the dominant populations who are fit for the treatment.Methods:Data were collected from March 2015 to January 2017 from a randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled,multicenter,phase III trial of anlotinib(ALTER0303).A total of 437 patients were enrolled and randomly allocated(2:1)to the anlotinib and placebo groups.Kaplan–Meier analysis and log-rank test were performed to compare PFS and OS.Cox proportional hazards model was adopted for multivariate prognostic analysis.Results:Multivariate analysis indicated that high post-therapeutic peripheral blood granulocyte/lymphocyte ratio and elevated alkaline phosphatase levels were independent risk factors for PFS.Meanwhile,elevated thyroid-stimulating hormone,blood glucose,and triglyceride levels;hypertension;and hand–foot syndrome were independent protective factors of PFS.High posttherapeutic peripheral blood granulocyte/lymphocyte ratio,an Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group(ECOG)score≥2,and the sum of the maximal target lesion length at baseline were independent risk factors of OS,and hypertriglyceridemia was an independent protective factor of OS.Conclusions:This study preliminarily explored the possible factors that affected PFS and OS after anlotinib treatment in patients with advanced refractory NSCLC,and the baseline characteristics of the therapeutically dominant populations were then identified.Jing Wang Yizhuo Zhao Qiming Wang Li Zhang Jianhua Shi Zhehai Wang Ying Cheng Jianxing He Yuankai Shi Hao Yu Yang Zhao Weiqiang Chen Yi Luo Xiuwen Wang Kejun Nan Faguang Jin Jian Dong Baolan Li Zhujun Liu Baohui Han Kai Li 2018Cancer Biology & Medicine2018,15,4:46
2The Suitability of Using Leaf Area Index to Quantify Soil Loss under Vegetation Cover显示文摘Soil erosion by water under forest cover is a serious problem in southern China.A comparative study was carried out on the use of leaf area index(LAI) and vegetation fractional coverage(VFC) in quantifying soil loss under vegetation cover.Five types of vegetation with varied LAI and VFC under field conditions were exposed to two rainfall rates(40 mm h-1 and 54 mm h-1) using a portable rainfall simulator.Runoff rate,sediment concentration and soil loss rate were measured at relatively runoff stable state.Significant negative exponential relationship(p < 0.05,R2 = 0.83) and linear relationship(p < 0.05,R2 = 0.84) were obtained between LAI and sediment concentration,while no significant relationship existed between VFC and sediment concentration.The mechanism by which vegetation canopy prevents soil loss was by reducing rainfall kinetic energy and sediment concentration.LAI could better quantify such a role than VFC.However,neither LAI nor VFC could explain runoff rate or soil loss rate.Caution must be taken when using LAI to quantify the role of certain vegetation in soil and water conservation.ZHANG Wentai YU Dongsheng SHI Xuezheng WANG Hongjie GU Zhujun ZHANG Xiangyan TAN Manzhi 2011Journal of Mountain Science2011,8,4:7
3Effects of raw material extrusion and steam conditioning on feed pellet quality and nutrient digestibility of growing meat rabbits显示文摘This study was conducted to investigate the effects of raw material extrusion and steam conditioning on feed pellet quality and nutrient digestibility of growing meat rabbits, in order to determine appropriate rabbit feed processing methods and processing parameters. In Exp. 1, an orthogonal design was adopted.Barrel temperature, material moisture content and feed rate were selected as test factors, and acid detergent fiber(ADF) content was selected as an evaluation index to research the optimum extrusion parameters. In Exp. 2. a two-factor design was adopted. Four kinds of rabbit feeds were processed and raw material extrusion adopted optimum extrusion parameters of Exp. 1. A total of 40 healthy and 42-day-old rabbits with similar weight were used in a randomized design, which consisted of 4 groups and 10 replicates in each group(1 rabbits in each replicate). The adaptation period lasted for 7 d, and the digestion trial lasted for 4 d. The results showed as follows: 1) ADF was significantly affected by barrel temperature(P < 0.05); the optimum extrusion parameters were barrel temperature 125℃, moisture content 16% and feed rate 9 Hz. 2) Raw material extrusion and steam conditioning both significantly decreased powder percentage, pulverization ratio and protein solubility(P < 0.05), significantly improved hardness and starch gelatinization degree of rabbit feed(P < 0.05). They both had significant interaction effects on the processing quality of rabbit feed(P < 0.05). 3) Extrusion significantly improved the apparent digestibility of dry matter and total energy(P < 0.05). Extrusion and steam conditioning both significantly improved the apparent digestibility of crude fiber(CF), ADF and NDF(P < 0.05), but they had no interaction effects on the apparent digestibility of rabbit feed. 4A Discrete State Event Driven Simulation based Losses Analysis for Multi-terminal Megawatt Power Electronic Transformer显示文摘At present,power electronic transformers(PETs)have been widely used in power systems.With the increase of PET capacity to the megawatt level.the problem of increased losses need to be taken seriously.As an important indicator of power electronic device designing,losses have always been the focus of attention.At present,the losses are generally measured through experiments,but it takes a lot of time and is difficult to quantitatively analyze the internal distribution of PET losses.To solve the above problems,this article first qualitatively analyzes the losses of power electronic devices and proposes a loss calculation method based on pure simulation.This method uses the Discrete State Event Driven(DSED)modeling method to solve the problem of slow simulation speed of large-capacity power electronic devices and uses a loss calculation method that considers the operating conditions of the device to improve the calculation accuracy.For the PET prototype in this article,a losses model of the PET is established.The comparison of experimental and simulation results verifies the feasibility of the losses model.Then the losses composition of PET was analyzed to provide reference opinions for actual operation.It can help pre-analyze the losses distribution of PET,thereby providing a potential method for improving system efficiency.Jialin Zheng Zhengming Zhao Bochen Shi Zhujun Yu Jiahe Ju Zhiqiang Fan 2020CES Transactions on Electrical Machines and Systems2020,4,4:5
5A Numerical Convex Lens for the State-Discretized Modeling and Simulation of Megawatt Power Electronics Systems as Generalized Hybrid Systems显示文摘Modeling and simulation have emerged as an indispensable approach to create numerical experiment platforms and study engineering systems.However,the increasingly complicated systems that engineers face today dramatically challenge state-of-the-art modeling and simulation approaches.Such complicated systems,which are composed of not only continuous states but also discrete events,and which contain complex dynamics across multiple timescales,are defined as generalized hybrid systems(GHSs)in this paper.As a representative GHS,megawatt power electronics(MPE)systems have been largely integrated into the modern power grid,but MPE simulation remains a bottleneck due to its unacceptable time cost and poor convergence.To address this challenge,this paper proposes the numerical convex lens approach to achieve state-discretized modeling and simulation of GHSs.This approach transforms conventional time-discretized passive simulations designed for pure-continuous systems into state-discretized selective simulations designed for GHSs.When this approach was applied to a largescale MPE-based renewable energy system,a 1000-fold increase in simulation speed was achieved,in comparison with existing software.Furthermore,the proposed approach uniquely enables the switching transient simulation of a largescale megawatt system with high accuracy,compared with experimental results,and with no convergence concerns.The numerical convex lens approach leads to the highly efficient simulation of intricate GHSs across multiple timescales,and thus significantly extends engineers’capability to study systems with numerical experiments.Bochen Shi Zhengming Zhao Yicheng Zhu Zhujun Yu Jiahe Ju 2021Engineering2021,7,12:3

9Advanced duodenal carcinoma:Chemotherapy efficacy and analysis of prognostic factors显示文摘Objective This study aimed to determine the efficacy of chemotherapy and to identify potential chemotherapy agents to treat advanced primary duodenal carcinoma(PDC). Methods Seventy-three patients with advanced PDC were included in the study. Response rate(RR), disease control rate(DCR), progression-free survival(PFS), overall survival(OS) and prognosis were compared among patients using the Cox proportional hazards model. Results The overall RR and DCR of 52 patients were 21.15% and 69.23%, respectively. The median PFS and OS times were 4.51 and 11.47 months, respectively. Palliative chemotherapy improved the OS of patients with advanced PDC compared with patients who did not receive chemotherapy(14.28 months vs. 5.20 months, HR = 0.205, 95% CI: 0.077 to 0.547, P = 0.0016). Multivariate analysis indicated mucinous histology and liver metastasis as factors predictive of poor prognosis in patients with advanced PDC. Conclusion Palliative chemotherapy may improve the OS of patients with advanced PDC. 10Effects of long-term cultivation practices and nitrogen fertilization rates on carbon stock in a calcareous soil on the Chinese Loess Plateau显示文摘Soil organic carbon(SOC) and soil inorganic carbon(SIC) are important C pools in the Loess Plateau of Northwest China, however, variations of SOC and SIC stocks under different cultivation practices and nitrogen(N) fertilization rates are not clear in this area. A long-term field experiment started in June 2003 was conducted to investigate the SOC and SIC stocks in a calcareous soil of the Chinese Loess Plateau under four cultivation practices, i.e., fallow(FA), conventional cultivation(CC), straw mulch(SM), and plastic film-mulched ridge and straw-mulched furrow(RF), in combination with three N fertilization rates, i.e., 0(N0), 120(N120), and 240(N240) kg N/hm^2. Results indicate that the crop straw addition treatments(SM and RF) increased the contents of soil microbial biomass C(SMBC) and SOC, and the SOC stock increased by 10.1%–13.3% at the upper 20 cm soil depth in comparison to the 8-year fallow(FA) treatment. Meanwhile, SIC stock significantly increased by 19% at the entire tested soil depth range(0–100 cm) under all crop cultivation practices in comparison to that of soil exposed to the long-term fallow treatment, particularly at the upper 60 cm soil depth. Furthermore, moderate N fertilizer application(120 kg N/hm^2) increased SOC stock at the upper 40 cm soil depth, whereas SIC stock decreased as the N fertilization rate increased. 11Histological Assessment and Transcriptome Analysis Provide Insights into the Toxic Effects of Perfluorooctanoic Acid to Juvenile Half Smooth Tongue Sole Cynoglossus semilaevis显示文摘Perfluorooctanoic acid(PFOA)is a widespread synthetic persistent organic pollutant that may enrich along the food chain and affect the growth,development,reproduction,and lipid metabolism of aquatic organisms,particularly the benthic organisms.How-ever,the toxic effects of PFOA on the half-smooth tongue sole Cynoglossus semilaevis,a commercial benthic fish in China,have rarely been reported.Because juvenile fish are sensitive to environmental pollutants,in the present study,histological assessment and tran-scriptome sequencing were performed to determine the short-term impact of PFOA on juvenile half-smooth tongue soles.Histologi-cal analysis showed that PFOA exposure caused hepatocyte rupture,intestinal villi breakage,increased goblet cell count,and brain ab-normal.Transcriptome results showed that some interesting signaling pathways,such as glycolysis/gluconeogenesis,PPAR signaling pathway and GABAergic synapse signaling pathway,were enriched after PFOA exposure.In addition,some metabolic,immune and neural genes were differentially expressed,which including ependymin,hbb1-like and gad 1,and they were up-regulated after 14 days of exposure.Transcriptome results also indicated that half-smooth tongue sole might improve energy metabolism in response to PFOA toxicity after 7 days of exposure.These findings provide a basis for studying the ecological effects of PFOA on marine benthic fishes.ZHAN Min SHI Kunpeng ZHANG Xue FAN Qingxin XU Qian LIU Xinbao LI Zhujun LIU Hongning XIA Yanting SHA Zhenxia 2023Journal of Ocean University of China2023,22,6:0
