1Sisyphus effects in hydrogen electrochemistry on metal silicides enabled by silicene subunit edge显示文摘Nonmetal elements strictly govern the electrochemical performance of molybdenum compounds.Yet,the exact role played by nonmetals during electrocatalysis remains largely obscure.With intermetallic MoSi_2comprising silicene subunits,we present an unprecedented hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)behavior in aqueous alkaline solution.Under continuous operation,the HER activity of MoSi_2shows a more than one order of magnitude improvement in current density from 1.1 to 21.5 mA cm^(à2)at 0.4 V overpotential.Meanwhile,this activation behavior is highly reversible,such that voltage withdrawal leads to catalyst inactivation but another operation causes reactivation.Thus,the system shows dynamics strikingly analogous to the legendary Sisyphus’labor,which drops and recovers in a stepwise manner repeatedly,but never succeeds in reaching the top of the mountain.Isomorphic WSi_2behaves almost the same as MoSi_2,whereas other metal silicides with silicyne subunits,including CrSi_2and TaSi_2,do not exhibit any anomalous behavior.A thin amorphous shell of MoSi_2is observed after reaction,within which the Si remains partially oxidized while the oxidation state of Mo is basically unchanged.First-principles calculations further reveal that the adsorption of hydroxide ions on silicene subunit edges and the subsequent Si vacancy formation in MoSi_2jointly lead to the anomalous HER kinetics of the adjacent Mo active centers.This work demonstrates that the role of nonmetal varies dramatically with the electronic and crystallographic structures of silicides and that silicene structural subunit may serve as a promoter for boosting HER in alkaline media.Zechao Zhuang Yong Li Jiazhao Huang Zilan Li Kangning Zhao Yunlong Zhao Lin Xu Liang Zhou Lyudmila V. 2Multifunctional metasurface:from extraordinary optical transmission to extraordinary optical diffraction in a single structure显示文摘We show that a metasurface composed of a subwavelength metallic slit array embedded in an asymmetric dielectric environment can exhibit either extraordinary optical transmission(EOT) or extraordinary optical diffraction(EOD). The cascaded refractive indices of the dielectrics can leverage multiple decaying passages into variant subsections with different diffraction order combinations according to the diffraction order chart in the k-vector space, providing a flexible mean to tailor resonance decaying pathways of the metallic slit cavity mode by changing the wavevector of the incident light. As a result, either the zeroth transmission or-1 st reflection efficiencies can be enhanced to near unity by the excitation of the localized slit cavity mode, leading to either EOT or EOD in a single structure, depending on the illumination angle. Based on this appealing feature, a multifunctional metasurface that can switch its functionality between transmission filter, mirror, and off-axis lens is demonstrated. 3Dynamic Investigation on Chromosome Aberration of a Human Retinoblastoma Cell Line SO-Rb_(50)显示文摘G-banding and karyotype analyses of cells in seventeen passages of SO-Rb_(50) during a long period of culture for about four years were performed. Three chromosome markers 13q14^-, 1p36^+ and 12p13^+ were found. Cells possessed 13q14^- reduced to zero after the 200th passage while 1p^+ and 12p^+ cells increased to 100% after 30 and 200 passages respectively. 5Two-dimensional optoelectronic devices for silicon photonic integration显示文摘With the unprecedented increasing demand for extremely fast processing speed and huge data capacity,traditional silicon-based information technology is becoming saturated due to the encountered bottle-necks of Moore's Law.New material systems and new device architectures are considered promising strategies for this challenge.Two-dimensional(2D)materials are layered materials and garnered persistent attention in recent years owing to their advantages in ultrathin body,strong light-matter interaction,flexible integration,and ultrabroad operation wavelength range.To this end,the integra-tion of 2D materials into silicon-based platforms opens a new path for silicon photonic integration.In this work,a comprehensive review is given of the recent signs of progress related to 2D material inte-grated optoelectronic devices and their potential applications in silicon photonics.Firstly,the basic op-tical properties of 2D materials and heterostructures are summarized in the first part.Then,the state-of-the-art three typical 2D optoelectronic devices for silicon photonic applications are reviewed in detail.Finally,the perspective and challenges for the aim of 3D monolithic heterogeneous integration of these 2D optoelectronic devices are discussed.Zilan Tang Shula Chen Dong Li Xiaoxia Wang Anlian Pan 2023Journal of Materiomics2023,9,3:1
6Study on the key technology of spectral reflectivity reconstruction based on sparse prior by a single-pixel detector显示文摘By studying the traditional spectral reflectance reconstruction method, spectral reflectance and the relative spectral power distribution of a lighting source are sparsely decomposed, and the orthogonal property of the principal component orthogonal basis is used to eliminate basis; then spectral reflectance data are obtained by solving a sparse coefficient. After theoretical analysis, the spectral reflectance reconstruction based on sparse prior knowledge of the principal component orthogonal basis by a single-pixel detector is carried out by software simulation and experiment. 8Controlled growth of vertically stacked In_(2)Se_(3)/WSe_(2) heterostructures for ultrahigh responsivity photodetector显示文摘Transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDCs)are promising candidates for future optoelectronic devices accounting for their high carrier mobility and excellent quantum efficiency.However,the limited light absorption efficiency in atomically thin layers significantly hinders photocarrier generation,thereby impairing the optoelectronic performance and hindering practical applications.Herein,we successfully synthesized In_(2)Se_(3)/WSe_(2) heterostructures through a typical two-step chemical vapor deposition(CVD)method.The In_(2)Se_(3) nanosheet with strong light absorption capability,serving as the light absorption layer,was integrated with the monolayer WSe_(2),enhancing the photosensitivity of WSe_(2) significantly.Upon laser irradiation with a wavelength of 520 nm,the In_(2)Se_(3)/WSe_(2) heterostructure device shows an ultrahigh photoresponsivity with a value as high as 2333.5 A/W and a remarkable detectivity reaching up to 6.7×10^(12) Jones,which is the highest among almost the reported TMDCs-based heterostructures grown via CVD even some fabricated by mechanical exfoliation(ME).Combing the advantages of CVD method such as large scale,high yield,and clean interface,the In_(2)Se_(3)/WSe_(2) heterostructures would provide a novel path for future high-performance optoelectronic device.Cheng Zhang Biyuan Zheng Guangcheng Wu Xueying Liu Jiaxin Wu Chengdong Yao Yizhe Wang Zilan Tang Ying Chen Lizhen Fang Luying Huang Dong Li Shengman Li Anlian Pan 2024Nano Research2024,17,3:0
