| 7 | Ecological rebuilding and land reclamation in surface mines in Shanxi Province, China显示文摘It is well known that the mining industry produces a large amount of derelict land, and causes pollution of water loss and soil erosion as well as other environmental damage in China. As land is under pressure in China, it is now policy to restore or reclaim land despoiled by mining, the aim being to develop sustainable and healthy arable land ecosystems. This paper outlines the principles and approaches of ecological restoration, which have been adopted in Shanxi Province with reference to three typical surface mines. In the research, the principles of ecological engineering and ecological succession are considered as the critical theories of ecological restoration in mine degraded land. Meanwhile, the paper made a comparative research on main links of ecological rebuilding in three surface mines in Shanxi Province, which include new land construction, treatment of toxic substances, control of soil erosion, fertility management, irrigation, ecological planning and the establishment of legislation systems. As the research demonstrated, for successful restoration, new land construction is the fundamental framework, but it must be integrated with ecological engineering including ecological planning, the control of soil erosion and vegetation establishment and ecosystem creation in order to optimise land productivity and soil fertility. | 8 | Preparation and Properties of Some Chemical and Electrochemical γ-MnO_2显示文摘Chemically prepared electrolytic 2-Mn02 and an electrodeposited MnO2 doped with Ce(Ⅲ) were subjected to physicochemical studies. X-ray diffractometry, density measurements, chem-ical analysis and thermal analysis were used to determine the structure and chemical disorder present. The samples prepared chemically (CMD) or electrochemically (EMD) showed a variable amount of de Wolff disorder (Pr) and microtwinning (Tw). Manganese dioxide prepared in the presence of Ce(Ⅲ) showed appreciable decrease in de Wolff defect and a large amount of microtwinning. Thermal analysis showed a loss of weight due to the physically adsorbed and the structural (OH) water, from which the activation energy was calculated. Chemical composition and formulae calculated on the bases of cation vacancy model, cleared that Ce(lIl)-doped sample has a remarkable increase in the vacancies population associated with higher structural water content. | 9 | Probing proton halo of the exotic nucleus ^(28)S by elastic electron scattering显示文摘Elastic electron scattering on the exotic light nucleus 28S is investigated in the plane wave Born approximation. The variation of the squared form factors of 28S with momentum transfer is compared with that of 32S. It is found that the behavior of the form factors near the second minimum (with a moderate momentum transfer) is sensitive to the alteration of the charge density distribution of halo protons in 28S.
