1Trends in particulate matter and its chemical compositions in China from 2013–2017显示文摘Accurate determination of the atmospheric particulate matter mass concentration and chemical composition is helpful in exploring the causes and sources of atmospheric enthalpy pollution and in evaluating the rationality of environmental air quality control strategies.Based on the sampling and chemical composition data of PM2.5 in different key regions of China in the CARE-China observation network,this research analyzes the environmental air quality data released by the China National Environmental Monitoring Centre during the studied period to determine the changes in the particulate matter mass concentration in key regions and the evolution of the corresponding chemical compositions during the implementation of the Action Plan for Prevention and Control of Air Pollution from 2013-2017.The results show the following.(1)The particulate matter mass concentration in China showed a significant downward trend;however,the PM2.5 annual mass concentration in 64%of cities exceeds the New Chinese Ambient Air Quality Standard(CAAQS)GradeⅡ(GB3095-2012).The region to the east of the Taihang Mountains,the Fenhe and Weihe River Plain and the Urumqi-Changji regions in Xinjiang,all have PM2.5 concentration loading that is still high,and heavy haze pollution occurred frequently in the autumn and winter.(2)During the heavy pollution in the autumn and winter,the concentrations of sulfate and organic components decreased significantly.The mean SO42-concentration in PM2.5 decreased by 76%,12%,81%and 38%in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei(BTH),the Pearl River Delta(PRD),the Sichuan-Chongqing region(SC)and the Fenhe and Weihe River Plain,respectively.The mean organic matter(OM)concentration decreased by 70%,44%,48%and 31%,respectively,and the mean concentration of NH4+decreased by 68%,1.6%,38%and 25%,respectively.The mean elemental carbon(EC)concentration decreased by 84%and 20%in BTH and SC,respectively,and it increased by 61%and 11%in the PRD and Fenhe and Weihe River Plain,respectively.The mean concentration of mineral and unresolved chemical components(MI)dropped by 70%,24%and 13%in BTH,the PRD and the Fenhe and Weihe River Plain,respectively.The change in the PM2.5 chemical composition is consistent with the decrease of the PM2.5mass concentration.(3)In 2015,the mean OM concentration contributions to fine particles and coarse particles were 13-46%and 46-57%,respectively,and the mean MI concentration contributions to fine particles and coarse and particles were 31-60%and 39-73%,respectively;these values are lower than the 2013 values from the key regions,which is the most important factor behind the decrease of the particulate matter mass concentration.From 2013 to 2015,among the chemical components of different particle size fractions,the peak value of the coarse particle size fraction decreased significantly,and the fine particle size fractions of SO42-,NO3-,and NH4+decreased with the decrease of the particulate matter mass concentration in different particle size fractions.The fine-particle size peaks of SO42-,NO3-and NH4+shifted from 0.65-1.1μm to the finer size range of0.43-0.65μm during the same time frame.Yuesi WANG Wenjie LI Wenkang GAO Zirui LIU Shili TIAN Rongrong SHEN Dongsheng JI Shuai WANG Lili WANG Guiqian TANG Tao SONG Mengtian CHENG Gehui WANG Zhengyu GONG Jiming HAO Yuanhang ZHANG 2019Science China Earth Sciences2019,62,12:23
2Rapid improvement of PM2.5 pollution and associated health benefits in China during 2013–2017显示文摘Exposure to fine particulate matter(PM2.5)is known to harm public health.In China,after implementation of aggressive emissions control measures under the Action Plan of Air Pollution Prevention and Control(2013-2017),air quality has significantly improved.In this work,we investigated changes in PM2.5 exposure and the associated health impacts in China for the period 2013-2017.We used an optimal estimator of PM2.5 combining in-situ observations,satellite measurements,and simulations from a chemical transport model to derive the spatial and temporal variations in PM2.5 exposure,and then used welldeveloped exposure-response functions to estimate the premature deaths attributable to PM2.5 exposure.We found that national population-weighed annual mean PM2.5 concentrations decreased from 67.4μgm-3 in 2013 to 45.5μgm-3 in 2017(32%reduction).This rapid decrease in PM2.5 pollution led to a 14%reduction in premature deaths due to long-term exposure.We estimated that,during 2013-2017,the premature deaths attributable to long-term PM2.5 exposure decreased from 1.2 million(95%CI:1.0,1.3;fraction of total mortality:13%)in 2013 to 1.0 million(95%CI:0.9,1.2;10%)in 2017.Despite the rapid decrease in annual mean PM2.5 concentrations,health benefits associated with reduced long-term exposure were limited,because for many cities,the PM2.5 levels remain at the portion where the exposure-response function is less steeper than that at the lowconcentration end.We also found that the deaths associated with acute exposure decreased by 61%during 2013-2017 due to rapid reduction in the number of heavily polluted days.Our results confirm that clean air policies in China have mitigated the air pollution crisis;however,continuous emissions reduction efforts are required to protect citizens from air pollution.Tao XUE Jun LIU Qiang ZHANG Guannan GENG Yixuan ZHENG Dan TONG Zhu LIU Dabo GUAN Yu BO Tong ZHU Kebin HE Jiming HAO 2019Science China Earth Sciences2019,62,12:17
3Impact of China’s Air Pollution Prevention and Control Action Plan on PM2.5 chemical composition over eastern China显示文摘China promulgated the Air Pollution Prevention and Control Action Plan(the Action Plan)in 2013 and developed stringent control measures to mitigate fine particulate matter(PM2.5) pollution.Here,we investigated the PM2.5 chemical composition changes over eastern China associated with the Action Plan during 2013-2017 using satellite-based PM2.5 chemical composition data derived using CMAQ simulations and satellite inputs.The PM2.5 concentrations decreased considerably during this time as a result of the reductions in all chemical species in PM2.5.The population-weighted mean concentrations over eastern China decreased from 11.1 to 6.7μgm-3 for SO42-,13.8-13.1μgm-3 for NO3-,7.4-5.8μgm-3 for NH4+,9.9-8.4μgm-3 for OM,4.6-3.8μg m-3 for BC and 12.9-9.6μg m-3 for other species in PM2.5.SO42-had the largest reduction of 40%,while NO3-had the lowest reduction of 5%,resulting in a greater fraction of NO3-and a smaller fraction of SO42-in PM2.5.Among the three key regions,Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei had the largest reduction in PM2.5 and its chemical compositions.The decrease in SO42-concentrations was in line with the reduction of SO2 emissions,and the major driver of the SO2 emission reductions was the industrial sector.The decrease in NO3 concentrations was limited because the decrease in SO2 emissions and the stable NH3 emissions facilitated the formation of NO3-from HNO3,which partially offset the reduction in NOx emissions driven by the power sector.To mitigate PM2.5 pollution more effectively,future efforts are needed to reduce NH3 emissions.Guannan GENG Qingyang XIAO Yixuan ZHENG Dan TONG Yuxuan ZHANG Xiaoye ZHANG Qiang ZHANG Kebin HE Yang LIU 2019Science China Earth Sciences2019,62,12:16

6基于系统保护规划的长白山阔叶红松林保护网络优化研究显示文摘阔叶红松林是北温带物种最丰富的地带性群落之一,长白山地区是其在中国范围内的中心分布区。中国政府已建立保护网络(24个自然保护区组成)来保护阔叶红松林及其重要的物种资源,但成效不显著。利用系统保护规划软件C Plan,以集水区为规划单元,计算保护网络外规划单元的不可替代性值,识别出保护网络外高保护价值空缺,评估现有保护网络与纳入空缺后的优化保护网络的保护效率。研究结果显示,现有保护网络外的高保护价值规划单元呈集中沿山岭分布的特征,现有保护网络使24种物种的生境(共75种)实现其设定的保护目标,其他51种未能实现保护目标,且20种保护对象未能达到其设定保护目标的50%,保护成效低。纳入空缺后的优化保护网络,可使64种保护对象实现保护目标,其余11种保护对象的保护贡献值也不同程度提高,保护成效显著增强。结合人为干扰情况提出三种不同保护策略情景下的优先保护方案,并根据生态威胁强度提出各方案的保护建议,为长白山阔叶红松林保护管理提供决策依据,并为山地生态区保护网络优化研究提供方法指导。马琳 李俊清 2019生态学报2019,39,22:8
7Primary hepatic neuroendocrine tumor case with a preoperative course of 26 years: A case report and literature review显示文摘Primary hepatic neuroendocrine tumor(PHNET) is an extremely rare liver tumor. Patients often have no clinical symptoms or have only non-specific symptoms, such as abdominal pain and abdominal mass. The clinical manifestations, disease development, treatment methods, and treatment outcomes of PHNET vary greatly among cases. Here we report a case of PHNET with a confirmed 26-year survival before surgery. The patient was a 56-year-old female. A large right hepatic mass was detected when the patient was 30 years old. The tumor could not be removed during exploratory laparotomy, and constriction of the right hepatic artery and biopsy were conducted. Pathological results indicated a diagnosis of benign tumor, but a confirmed diagnosis was not reached. Twenty-six years after the patient had been living with the tumor, she sought treatment again because of tumor progression. After systematic evaluation of the resectability, the tumor was resected. Based on the examination results of the gastrointestinal tract and lungs, intraoperative examination results, pathological findings, and long-term follow-up results, the diagnosis of PHNET was confirmed. 8美丽中国建设——人地和谐共生理论与评估指标体系及应用显示文摘The Beautiful China Initiative(BCI)is a plan for the sustainable development of the Chinese nation as well as for China to fulfill the United Nations’2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.The Chinese government’s“five-in-one”approach provides strategic arrangements for developing the BCI,and President Xi Jinping proposed a timetable and“road map”for the BCI at the National Conference on Ecological and Environmental Protection.Nevertheless,the theoretical basis,evaluation index system,evaluation criteria and effectiveness of the BCI are currently unclear.This paper begins by exploring the basic content of the BCI from narrow and broad perspectives.It regards the theory of human-nature harmonious coexistence and the five-in-one beauty theory as the core theoretical bases of the BCI and constructs a five-element BCI evaluation index system(ecological environment,green development,social harmony,system perfection and cultural heritage)and utilizes the assessment method of the United Nations’Human Development Index to assess scientifically the effectiveness of the BCI in 341 prefecture-level cities.The results show the average BCI index(the Chinese Academy of Sciences Beauty Index)score to be 0.28,which is quite low,while the average scores for the individual element indexes of the ecological environment index,green development index,social harmony index,system perfection index and cultural heritage index are 0.6,0.22,0.29,0.22 and 0.07,respectively.All of these are relatively low values,with relatively large discrepancies in regional development,indicating that progress in the BCI is generally slow and unbalanced.To realize the BCI’s timetable and roadmap to a high quality and high standard,it is suggested that a common system for evaluating the progress of the BCI is developed and promulgated so that dynamic monitoring and phased evaluations can take place;BCI technical assessment standards are compiled and published;BCI comprehensive zoning is undertaken;pilot projects adapted to local conditions are launched in BCI sample areas;and BCI results are incorporated into performance indicators at all levels of government.方创琳 王振波 刘海猛 2020Journal of Geographical Sciences2020,30,5:6

10瓦里安RapidPlan模型训练中统计离群值的处理及其剂量学影响显示文摘目的:以统计图表和参数为依据,分析处理瓦里安Rapid Plan模型离群值,并比较处理前后计划之间及其与人工优化的剂量学差异。方法:(1)选取80例直肠癌术前同步推量计划建立模型;(2)修正明显原因所致的离群值;(3)利用拟合曲线、Z值和库克距离寻找几何离群值,检查原计划并分情况处理;(4)利用残差分布图、剂量体积直方图、学生化残差值和库克距离判断剂量离群值并酌情处理;(5)利用20例同类计划测试验证前后模型的优化效果。结果:统计学验证使模型构成计划中的离群参数最大值显著降低(P〈0.05)。相比原人工优化的测试计划,Rapid Plan使用任一模型均能显著改善靶区均匀性指数(P〈0.05,幅度2.7%~19.0%)和膀胱平均剂量(P〈0.05,降幅12.8%~13.2%)。但利用验证前后模型分别优化的计划质量差异不大:肿瘤计划靶区(PGTV)均匀性指数相差0.5%,PGTV适形指数相差0.1%,计划靶区适形指数相差0.5%,股骨头和膀胱平均剂量分别相差0.3%和0.4%(P〉0.05)。结论:基于知识的Rapid Plan计划可以改善靶区剂量均匀性和保护危及器官。依据统计学参数删改模型构成计划并不一定能取得更好的剂量学效果。吴昊 蒋璠 岳海振 张艺宝 2016中国医学物理学杂志2016,33,7:5
11Deep in shadows:Epigenetic and epigenomic regulations of medicinal plants显示文摘Around 60%of the extant plants have medicinal and health-promoting values.Genuine medicinal material(geoherb)is produced in particular geographic regions,that is defined ecological environment and cultivation pipeline.The clinical efficacy of a geoherb is superior to that of the same medicinal plant growing in other regions.The special medicinal features of a plant are determined by its genome,while the proper ecological conditions have major effects on the formation of a geoherb,which is at least partially mediated by the epigenetics.By epigenetics/epigenomics,researchers uncover the complexities of the influence of the environment on the expression of genes that control medicinal plant growth,development,stress responses,and medicinal phytometabolite yield,and put the other'omics layers'in a meaningful biological context.The unique phenotypes of geoherb are closely related to the growth,development,and stress responses of medicinal plants.In addition to the commonly known genetic control,epigenetic machineries,active at the population level,play an essential role in the formation of geoherbs.This contribution gives a comprehensive overview of the epigenetic regulation of medicinal plants,and the associated microbes,and the role of DNA methylation,small non-coding RNA,transposable elements,and histone modifications in the gene expression regulation of geoherbs and relevant microbiota.The epigenetic and epigenomic mechanisms should be highlighted in the study of specific phenotype and indigenousness of geoherbalism.Revealing the correlation between epigenetics and geoherbs could shed light on the quality assessment,authentication,molecular breeding,and sustainable utilization of medicinal plants and the associated microbes.Da-Cheng Hao Pei-Gen Xiao 2018Chinese Herbal Medicines2018,10,3:4
12Current status and future challenges of high-level biosafety laboratories in China显示文摘High-level biosafety laboratories are safe and secure platforms which integrate reliable containment,well-trained personnel,and specific biosafety manuals and practices to protect researchers from being infected while manipulating microbial pathogens and prevent pathogens from being released into the outside environment.During the past decades,laboratories with different protection levels have been constructed and operated,the legal framework and a laboratory biosafety management system have been established,and these operational laboratories have played an essential role in combatting emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases in China.Here,we have summarized the significant achievements of high-level laboratory planning,construction,and operation in China,as well as the challenges that we face in the future.Additionally,we have briefly discussed the national plan for construction of highlevel biosafety laboratories from 2016-2025 and‘‘biosafety-motivated”management system.This review might be informative for further understanding the present situation and future function of high-level biosafety laboratories in China.Yuan Zhiming 2019Journal of Biosafety and Biosecurity2019,1,2:4
13Underground space planning in Helsinki显示文摘This paper gives insight into the use of underground space in Helsinki,Finland.The city has an underground master plan(UMP) for its whole municipal area,not only for certain parts of the city.Further,the decision-making history of the UMP is described step-by-step.Some examples of underground space use in other cities are also given.The focus of this paper is on the sustainability issues related to urban underground space use,including its contribution to an environmentally sustainable and aesthetically acceptable landscape,anticipated structural longevity and maintaining the opportunity for urban development by future generations.Underground planning enhances overall safety and economy efficiency.The need for underground space use in city areas has grown rapidly since the 21 st century;at the same time,the necessity to control construction work has also increased.The UMP of Helsinki reserves designated space for public and private utilities in various underground areas of bedrock over the long term.The plan also provides the framework for managing and controlling the city's underground construction work and allows suitable locations to be allocated for underground facilities.Tampere,the third most populated city in Finland and the biggest inland city in the Nordic countries,is also a good example of a city that is taking steps to utilise underground resources.Oulu,the capital city of northern Finland,has also started to ‘go underground'.An example of the possibility to combine two cities by an 80-km subsea tunnel is also discussed.A new fixed link would generate huge potential for the capital areas of Finland and Estonia to become a real Helsinki-Tallinn twin city.Ilkka Vhaho 2014Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2014,6,5:4

15Heuristic Computing Methods for Contact Plan Design in the Spatial-Node-Based Internet of Everything显示文摘To satisfy the increasing demands of high-speed transmission, high-efficiency computing, and real-time communications in the high-dynamic and heterogeneous networks, the Contact Plan Design(CPD) has attracted continuous attention in recent years, especially for the spatial-node-based Internet of Everything(IoE). In this paper, we study the NP-hardness of contact scheduling and the attenuation of atmospheric precipitation in the spatial-node-based IoE. Two heuristic computing methods for contact plan design are proposed by comprehensively considering the time-varying topology, the intermittent connectivity, and the adaptive transmission in different weather conditions, which are named Contact Plan Design-Particle Swarm Optimization(CPD-PSO) and Contact Plan Design-Greedy algorithm with the Minimum Delivery Time(CPD-GMDT) separately. For the population-based algorithm, CPD-PSO not only solves the CPD problem with a limited-resource condition, but also dynamically adjusts the search scope to ensure the continuous searching capability of the algorithm. For the CPD-GMDT that makes CP decisions based on the current state, the algorithm uses the idea of greedy algorithm to schedule Satellite-Platform Links(SPLs) and Inter Satellite Links(ISLs) respectively using the strategies of optimal matching and load balancing. 16Distributed Contact Plan Design for Multi-Layer Satellite-Terrestrial Network显示文摘In multi-layer satellite-terrestrial network, Contact Graph Routing(CGR) uses the contact information among satellites to compute routes. However, due to the resource constraints in satellites, it is extravagant to configure lots of the potential contacts into contact plans. What's more, a huge contact plan makes the computing more complex, which further increases computing time. As a result, how to design an efficient contact plan becomes crucial for multi-layer satellite network, which usually has a large scaled topology. In this paper, we propose a distributed contact plan design scheme for multi-layer satellite network by dividing a large contact plan into several partial parts. Meanwhile, a duration based inter-layer contact selection algorithm is proposed to handle contacts disruption problem. The performance of the proposed design was evaluated on our Identifier/Locator split based satellite-terrestrial network testbed with 79 simulation nodes. 18Influence of earthquake direction on the seismic response of irregular plan RC frame buildings显示文摘The nonlinear response of structures is usually evaluated by considering two accelerograms acting simultaneously along the orthogonal directions. In this study, the infl uence of the earthquake direction on the seismic response of building structures is examined. Three multi-story RC buildings, representing a very common structural typology in Italy, are used as case studies for the evaluation. They are, respectively, a rectangular plan shape, an L plan shape and a rectangular plan shape with courtyard buildings. Nonlinear static and dynamic analyses are performed by considering different seismic levels, characterized by peak ground acceleration on stiff soil equal to 0.35 g, 0.25 g and 0.15 g. Nonlinear dynamic analyses are carried out by considering twelve different earthquake directions, and rotating the direction of both the orthogonal components by 30° for each analysis(from 0° to 330°). The survey is carried out on the L plan shape structure. 20Earthquake response of asymmetric building with MR damper显示文摘Plan asymmetric buildings are very susceptible to earthquake induced damage due to lateral torsional coupling, and the corners of these systems suffer heavy damage during earthquakes. Therefore, it is important to investigate the seismic behavior of an asymmetric plan building with MR dampers. In this study, the effectiveness of MR damper-based control systems has been investigated for seismic hazard mitigation of a plan asymmetric building. Furthermore, the infl uence of the building parameters and damper command voltage on the control performance is examined through parametric study. The building parameters chosen are eccentricity ratio and frequency ratio.
