1Relationship between intestinal microbiota and ulcerative colitis:Mechanisms and clinical application of probiotics and fecal microbiota transplantation显示文摘Ulcerative colitis(UC) is an inflammatory disease that mainly affects the colon and rectum. It is believed that genetic factors, host immune system disorders, intestinal microbiota dysbiosis, and environmental factors contribute to the pathogenesis of UC. however, studies on the role of intestinal microbiota in the pathogenesis of UC have been inconclusive. Studies have shown that probiotics improve intestinal mucosa barrier function and immune system function and promote secretion of anti-inflammatory factors, thereby inhibiting the growth of harmful bacteria in the intestine. Fecal microbiota transplantation(FMT) can reduce bowel permeability and thus the severity of disease by increasing the production of short-chain fatty acids, especially butyrate, which help maintain the integrity of the epithelial barrier. FMT can also restore immune dysbiosis by inhibiting Th1 differentiation, activity of T cells, leukocyte adhesion, and production of inflammatory factors. Probiotics and FMT are being increasingly used to treat UC, but their use is controversial because of uncertain efficacy. 2Mesenchymal stem cells: Molecular characteristics and clinical applications显示文摘Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are non-hematopoietic stem cells with the capacity to differentiate into tissues of both mesenchymal and non-mesenchymal origin. MSCs can differentiate into osteoblastic, chondrogenic, and adipogenic lineages, although recent studies have demonstrated that MSCs are also able to differentiate into other lineages, including neuronal and cardiomyogenic lineages. Since their original isolation from the bone marrow, MSCs have been successfully harvested from many other tissues. Their ease of isolation and ex vivo expansion combined with their immunoprivileged nature has made these cells popular candidates for stem cell therapies. These cells have the potential to alter disease pathophysiology through many modalities including cytokine secretion, capacity to differentiate along various lineages, immune modulation and direct cell-cell interaction with diseased tissue. Here we first review basic features of MSC biology including MSC characteristics in culture, homing mechanisms, differentiation capabilities and immune modulation. 4Unified calculation method and its application in determining the uniaxial mechanical properties of concrete显示文摘This paper presents a unified calculation method and its application in determining the uniaxial mechanical properties of concrete with concrete strengths ranging from 10 to 140MPa.By analyzing a large collection of test results of the uniaxial mechanicalproperties of normal-strength,high-strength and super high-strength concrete in China and performing a regression analysis,unified calculation formulas for the mechanical indexes of concrete are proposed that can be applied to various grades of concrete for determining the size coefficient,uniaxial compressive strength,uniaxial tensile strength,elastic modulus,and strain at peak uniaxial compression and tension.Optimized mathematical equations for the nonlinear stress-strain relationship of concrete,including the ascending and descending branches.under uniaxial stress,are also established.The elastic modulus is almost constant throughout the elastic stage for the ascending branches of the stress-strain relationship for concrete.The proposed stress-strain relationship of concrete was applied to the nonlinear finite element analysis of both a steel-concrete composite beam and a concrete-filled steel tubular stub column.The analytical results are in good agreement with the experiment results,indicating that the proposed stress-strain relationship of concrete is applicable.The achievements presented in this paper can be used as references for the design and nonlinear finite element analysis of concrete structures.Faxing DING Xiaoyong YING Linchao ZHOU Zhiwu YU 2011Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering2011,5,3:38
5Aggregation-induced emission: a coming-of-age ceremony at the age of eighteen显示文摘Aggregation-induced emission(AIE) has drawn great attention worldwide for its unique optical phenomenon and huge potential applications. Since coined by Ben Zhong Tang et al. in 2001, AIE has been deeply investigated and widely utilized in many important areas, such as organic light-emitting diode(OLED), sensor, and bio-imaging. Herein, we highlight some important progress of AIE in these eighteen years, including the exploration of internal mechanism and potential applications. Furthermore,some other interestingly emissive behaviors, originating but distinguishing from the AIE concept, are presented. 7腰椎后路椎间融合术后椎间融合的X线片及三维CT评价显示文摘目的 探讨X线片和三维CT(3D-CT)在判定单节段后路腰椎椎间融合术后椎间融合情况的临床价值.方法 选取接受后路腰椎椎间融合术并随访1年以上的患者43例,男19例,女24例;年龄16~74岁,平均47.2岁.峡部裂性滑脱21例,退变性滑脱15例,腰椎间盘突出并不稳症3例,腰椎间盘突出症复发3例,极外侧椎间盘突出症1例.单纯骨粒植骨26例,骨粒加椎间融合器17例.单节段内固定24例,双节段内固定19例.均为单节段椎间融合,其中L3,4,6例,L4,5,17例,L5 S1 20例.应用改良Brantigan评分判定腰椎正侧位X线片及3D-CT扫描所示椎间融合程度;动力位X线片判断椎间稳定性.结果 随访12~85个月,平均18个月.末次随访时X线片及3D-CT所示椎间融合率分别为64%(28/43例)和40%(17/43例).3D-CT的Brantigan评分小于正侧位X线片(P<0.05).根据诊断、固定节段及融合方式不同分组,各组3D-CT评分均低于正侧位X线片(P<0.05).动力位X线片示椎间不稳定者仅3例(7%).结论 腰椎3D-CT能更准确地评价椎间融合情况.拆除内固定前进行3D-CT检查非常必要.拆除内固定前摄动力位X线片对判定椎体间融合的临床意义不大.郑燕平 刘新宇 贾龙 王延国 黎君彦 2009中华骨科杂志2009,29,12:22
8Lanthanide NIR luminescence for telecommunications, bioanalyses and solar energy conversion显示文摘Present-day advanced technologies heavily rely on the exciting magnetic and spectroscopic properties of lanthanide ions. In particular, their ability to generate well-characterized and intense near-infrared (NIR) luminescence is exploited in any modern fiber-optic telecommunication network. In this feature article, we first summarize the whereabouts underlying the design of highly luminescent NIR molecular edifices and materials. We then focus on describing the main trends in three applications related to this spectral range: telecommunications, biosciences, and solar energy conversion. In telecommunications, efforts concentrate presently on getting easily processable polymer-based waveguide amplifiers. Upconversion nanophosphors emitting in the visible after NIR excitation are now ubiquitous in many bioanalyses while their application to bio-imaging is still in its early stages; however, highly sensitive NIR-NIR systems start to be at hand for both in vitro and in vivo imaging, as well as dual probes combining magnetic resonance and optical imaging. Finally, both silicon-based and dye-sensitized solar cells benefit from the downconversion and upconversion capabilities of lanthanide ions to harvest UV and NIR solar light and to boost the overall quantum efficiency of these next-generation devices.Jean-Claude G. 9EFFECT OF STONE POWDER ON STONE CHIPPINGS CONCRETE显示文摘In this paper,the effect and mechanism of calcareous stone powder with size less than 0. 074mm are investigated in stone chippings concrete. The results show that the stone powder can participate in hydration reaction and acts as crystal nucleus in hydration process, namely. it has hydration activity to an extent. The strength of stone chippings concrete is enhanced and the easy-mixing capacity of the concrete mortar is modified when stone chippings contain a proper amount of stone powder. 10The principle of the positioning system based on communication satellites显示文摘It is a long dream to realize the communication and navigation functionality in a satellite system in the world. This paper introduces how to establish the system, a positioning system based on communication satellites called Chinese Area Positioning System (CAPS). Instead of the typical navigation satellites, the communication satellites are configured firstly to transfer navigation signals from ground stations, and can be used to obtain service of the positioning, velocity and time, and to achieve the function of navigation and positioning. Some key technique issues should be first solved; they include the accuracy position determination and orbit prediction of the communication satellites, the measur- ing and calculation of transfer time of the signals, the carrier frequency drift in communication satellite signal transfer, how to improve the geometrical configuration of the constellation in the system, and the integration of navigation & communication. Several innovative methods are developed to make the new system have full functions of navigation and communication. Based on the development of crucial techniques and methods, the CAPS demonstration system has been designed and developed. Four communication satellites in the geosynchronous orbit (GEO) located at 87.5°E, 110.5°E, 134°E, 142°E and barometric altimetry are used in the CAPS system. The GEO satellites located at 134°E and 142°E are decommissioned GEO (DGEO) satellites. C-band is used as the navigation band. Dual frequency at C1=4143.15 MHz and C2=3826.02 MHz as well as dual codes with standard code (CA code and precision code (P code)) are adopted. The ground segment consists of five ground stations; the master station is in Lintong, Xi’an. The ground stations take a lot of responsibilities, including monitor and management of the operation of all system components, determination of the satellite position and prediction of the satellite orbit, accomplishment of the virtual atomic clock measurement, transmission and receiving navigation signals to and from each satellite. In the north, the south, the east, the west and the center of Chinese main land, the function of CAPS demonstration system is checked and measured. In cars and on board the system is also checked and measured. The results are as follow: CA-code, horizontal positioning accuracy, 15-25 m (1σ), vertical, 1-3 m; P-code, horizontal positioning accuracy, 8-10 m (1σ), vertical, 1-3 m; velocity accuracy, CA-code, 0.13-0.30 m/s, P-code, 0.15-0.17 m/s; time accuracy, CA-code, 160 ns, P-code, 13 ns; determination accuracy of orbit ≤2 m. About 20 million US $ and two years are spent for the development of demonstration. 11复合酶法提取南瓜多糖及其抗氧化性的研究(摘要)(英文)显示文摘[目的]优化复合酶法提取南瓜多糖的工艺条件,研究南瓜多糖的抗氧化性。[方法]采用单因素试验设计研究了不同提取时间、温度、料液比、pH对南瓜多糖提取率的影响,并通过正交试验确定了提取南瓜多糖的最佳的复合酶配比和最佳提取条件。采用水杨酸法检测南瓜多糖对羟基自由基(.OH)和改进的邻苯酚自氧化法检测其对超氧阴离子自由基(O2-)的清除效果。[结果]当纤维素酶的浓度为1.0%、果胶酶为1.5%、木瓜蛋白酶为1.0%时,以及温度为40℃、pH=4.6、料液比为1∶30、提取时间为30min的条件下南瓜多糖的提取率最高;南瓜多糖对.OH具有较好的清除效果,对O2-有部分清除作用。[结论]该研究为南瓜多糖的研究及应用提供了基础资料。孙婕 尹国友 陈兰英 Guo-you Lan-ying 2010Agricultural Science & Technology2010,11,5:20
12Research and Application Prospect of Computer Simulation on Heat Treatment Process显示文摘In this paper, a modified temperature-phase transformation-stress/strain field coupled 3D non-linear mathematical model was used in the computer simulation on heat treatment processes of workpieces including catch jaw, anchor ring, cold roller, large-scale bearing roller, nitriding crank shaft, etc. The simulation on complicated technologies such as pre-cooled quenching, double media quenching, self-tempering, difference temperature heating, nitriding distortion was carried out. The optimum design of heat treatment technology has been realized. 15Deformation characteristics and safety assessment of a high-speed railway induced by undercutting metro tunnel excavation显示文摘Stratum deformation(settlement) is a challenging issue in tunnel engineering, especially when construction of metro tunnels has to undercut high-speed railway. For this purpose, we used the FLAC30 software to analyze the stratum settlement characteristics of high-speed railway at different crossing angles intersected by metro tunnel, in terms of ground settlement trough, stratum slip line and irregularity of ballastless tracks. According to the evolution of the stratum settlement at different angle regions, an optimized angle is proposed for the actual project design. In order to reduce the influence of stratum settlement on the safety of high-speed railway, an approach of safety assessment is proposed for the shield engineering undercutting high-speed railway, as per Chinese specifications using numerical results and on-site conditions. A case study is conducted for the shield tunnel section crossing the Wuhan-Guangzhou High-speed Railway between the Guangzhou North Railway Station and the Huacheng Road Station, which represents the first metro tunnel project passing below a high-speed railway in China. A series of measures is taken to ensure the safe excavation of the shield tunnel and the operation of the high-speed railway. 16Effects of the accumulation of the rare earth elements on soil macrofauna community显示文摘The accumulation of rare earth elements (REEs) in soil has occurred due to the pollution caused by the exploitation of rare earth resources and the wide rare earth fertilizers in agriculture. The accumulation of REEs has a toxic effect on the soil macrofauna community. 12 study samples were collected near a mine tailings dam with a large amount of REEs by distance gradient sample method. The total concentration of REEs was analyzed and the results were compared with that of the sample from a control site. The effects of the amount of REEs in the soil on the soil macrofauna community were also analyzed. The results showed that the accumulation of REEs in soil was significant in the study area and its concentration was strongly correlated with the distance from the pollution source. One-way ANOVA analysis indicated the significant differences in soil macrofauna communities among the different sites. The ordination obtained through the redundancy analysis demonstrated that the concentration of REEs and the total nitrogen, total potassium and pH, had affected the soil macrofauna community. A small amount of REEs in the soil can promote the diversity of soil macrofauna, but a large amount of REEs can reduce its diversity. The insect groups of Carabidae and Dermaptera were comparatively sensitive to the concentration of REEs in soil, and could be used as an indicator of soil pollution of REEs. However, the Formicidae and Stibaropus formosanus exhibited a high tolerance to REEs in soil. 18Postponed and reduced basal nitrogen application improves nitrogen use efficiency and plant growth of winter wheat显示文摘Excessive nitrogen(N) fertilization with a high basal N ratio in wheat can result in lower N use efficiency(NUE) and has led to environmental problems in the Yangtze River Basin, China. However, wheat requires less N fertilizer at seedling growth stage, and its basal N fertilizer utilization efficiency is relatively low; therefore, reducing the N application rate at the seedling stage and postponing the N fertilization period may be effective for reducing N application and increasing wheat yield and NUE. A 4-year field experiment was conducted with two cultivars under four N rates(240 kg N ha–1(N240), 180 kg N ha–1(N180), 150 kg N ha–1(N150), and 0 kg N ha–1(N0)) and three basal N application stages(seeding(L0), fourleaf stage(L4), and six-leaf stage(L6)) to investigate the effects of reducing the basal N application rate and postponing the basal N fertilization period on grain yield, NUE, and N balance in a soil-wheat system. There was no significant difference in grain yield between the N180 L4 and N240 L0(control) treatments, and the maximum N recovery efficiency and N agronomy efficiency were observed in the N180 L4 treatment. Grain yield and NUE were the highest in the L4 treatment. The leaf area index, flag leaf photosynthesis rate, flag leaf nitrate reductase and glutamine synthase activities, dry matter accumulation, and N uptake post-jointing under N180 L4 did not differ significantly from those under N240 L0. Reduced N application decreased the inorganic N content in the 0–60-cm soil layer, and the inorganic N content of the L6 treatment was higher than those of the L0 and L4 treatments at the same N level. Surplus N was low under the reduced N rates and delayed basal N application treatments.
