| 1 | COVID-19 infection and liver injury:Clinical features,biomarkers,potential mechanisms,treatment,and management challenges显示文摘It is hypothesized that liver impairment caused by coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)infection might play a central role in severe clinical presentations.Liver injury is closely associated with severe disease and,even with antiviral drugs,have a poor prognosis in COVID-19 patients.In addition to the common hepatobiliary disorders caused by COVID-19,patients with pre-existing liver diseases demand special considerations during the current pandemic.Thus,it is vital that upon clinical presentation,patients with concurrent pre-existing liver disease associated with metabolic dysfunction and COVID-19 be managed properly to prevent liver failure.Careful monitoring and early detection of liver damage through biomarkers after hospitalization for COVID-19 is underscored in all cases,particularly in those with pre-existing metabolic liver injury.The purpose of this study was to determine most recent evidence regarding causality,potential risk factors,and challenges,therapeutic options,and management of COVID-19 infection in vulnerable patients with pre-existing liver injury.This review aims to highlight the current frontier of COVID-19 infection and liver injury and the direction of liver injury in these patients. | Gholam Reza Sivandzadeh Hassan Askari Ali Reza Safarpour Fardad Ejtehadi Ehsan Raeis-Abdollahi Armaghan Vaez Lari Mohammad Foad Abazari Firoozeh Tarkesh Kamran Bagheri Lankarani | 2021 | World Journal of Clinical Cases2021,9,22: | 5 |
| 2 | 采用微分脉冲伏安法和碳纳米管改性电极测定咖啡因(英文)显示文摘A simple and sensitive electrochemical detection of caffeine(CAF) using a single-walled carbon nanotubes on carbon-ceramic electrode(SWCNT/CCE) is reported.CAF was oxidized at the surface of the modified electrode to produce an anodic peak at 1.38 V versus the saturated calomel electrode in 0.01 mol/L,pH 1.7 H2SO4 solution in cyclic voltammetry.The experimental parameters,namely,type of electrolyte,pH value,and amount of SWCNTs casted,were optimized.Using the optimum conditions,the anodic peak current in differential pulse voltammetry was linear with CAF concentration in the range of 2.5 × 10 7 1.0 × 10 4 mol/L.The detection limit was 1.2 × 10 7 mol/L(S/N = 3).The modified electrode exhibited good stability and can be easily regenerated.The relative standard deviation of the peak current obtained for a 5.0 × 10 5 mol/L CAF solution was 3.0%.The influence of some important biological compounds,namely,ascorbic acid,dopamine,and uric acid and addictive compounds like codeine,morphine,and acetaminophen on the CAF anodic peak current was examined.The method was successfully applied for the determination of CAF in some practical samples. | Biuck HABIBI Mehri ABAZARI Mohammad Hossien POURNAGHI-AZAR | 2012 | 催化学报2012,33,11: | 2 |
| 3 | Avoiding transduction-induced heating in suspended microchannel resonators using piezoelectricity显示文摘Calorimetry of single biological entities remains elusive.Suspended microchannel resonators(SMRs)offer excellent performance for real-time detection of various analytes and could hold the key to unlocking pico-calorimetry experiments.However,the typical readout techniques for SMRs are optical-based,and significant heat is dissipated in the sensor,altering the measurement and worsening the frequency noise.In this manuscript,we demonstrate for the first time full on-chip piezoelectric transduction of SMRs on which we focus a laser Doppler vibrometer to analyze its effect.We demonstrate that suddenly applying the laser to a water-filled SMR causes a resonance frequency shift,which we attribute to a local increase in temperature.When the procedure is repeated at increasing flow rates,the resonance frequency shift diminishes,indicating that convection plays an important role in cooling down the device and dissipating the heat induced by the laser.We also show that the frequency stability of the device is degraded by the laser source.In comparison to an optical readout scheme,a low-dissipative transduction method such as piezoelectricity shows greater potential to capture the thermal properties of single entities. | Damien Maillard Annalisa De Pastina Amir Musa Abazari Luis Guillermo Villanueva | 2021 | Microsystems & Nanoengineering2021,7,2: | 2 |
