1Chronic ankle instability is associated with proprioception deficits:A systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘Background:Acute ankle injury causes damage to joint mechanoreceptors and deafferentation and contributes to proprioception deficits in patients with chronic ankle instability(CAI).We aimed to explore whether deficits of proprioception,including kinesthesia and joint position sense(JPS),exist in patients with CAI when compared with the uninjured contralateral side and healthy people.We hypothesized that proprioception deficits did exist in patients with CAI and that the deficits varied by test methodologies.Methods:The study was a systematic review and meta-analysis.We identified studies that compared kinesthesia or JPS in patients with CAI with the uninjured contralateral side or with healthy controls.Meta-analyses were conducted for the studies with similar test procedures,and narrative syntheses were undertaken for the rest.Results:A total of 7731 studies were identified,of which 30 were included for review.A total of 21 studies were eligible for meta-analysis.Compared with the contralateral side,patients with CAI had ankle kinesthesia deficits in inversion and plantarflexion,with a standardized mean difference(SMD)of 0.41 and 0.92,respectively,and active and passive JPS deficits in inversion(SMD=0.92 and 0.72,respectively).Compared with healthy people,patients with CAI had ankle kinesthesia deficits in inversion and eversion(SMD=0.64 and 0.76,respectively),and active JPS deficits in inversion and eversion(SMD=1.00 and 4.82,respectively).Proprioception deficits in the knee and shoulder of patients with CAI were not statistically significant.Conclusion:Proprioception,including both kinesthesia and JPS,of the injured ankle of patients with CAI was impaired,compared with the uninjured contralateral limbs and healthy people.Proprioception varied depending on different movement directions and test methodologies.The use of more detailed measurements of proprioception and interventions for restoring the deficits are recommended in the clinical management of CAI.Xiao’ao Xue Tengjia Ma Qianru Li Yujie Song Yinghui Hua 2021Journal of Sport and Health Science2021,10,2:21
2Effect of Phosphorus Fertilization to P Uptake and Dry Matter Accumulation in Soybean with Different P Efficiencies显示文摘Phosphorus(P)is an essential element for plant growth and yield.Improving phosphorus use efficiency of crops could potentially reduce the application of chemical fertilizer and alleviate environmental damage.Soybean(Glycine max(L.)Merr.)is sensitive to phosphorus(P)in the whole life history.Soybean cultivars with different P efficiencies were used to study P uptake and dry matter accumulation under different P levels.Under low P conditions,the P contents of leaf in high P efficiency cultivars were greater than those in low P efficiency cultivars at the branching stage.The P accumulation in stems of high P efficiency cultivars and in leaves of low P efficiency cultivars increased with increasing P concentration at the branching stage.At the late podding stage,the P accumulation of seeds in high and low P efficiency cultivars were 22.5and 26.0%,respectively;and at the mature stage were 69.8 and 74.2%,respectively.In average,the P accumulation in whole plants and each organ was improved by 24.4%in high P efficiency cultivars compared to low P efficiency cultivars.The biomass between high and low P efficiency cultivars were the same under extended P condition,while a significant difference was observed at late pod filling stage.At the pod setting stage,the biomass of high P efficiency cultivars were significant greater(17.4%)than those of low P efficiency cultivars under high P condition.Meanwhile,under optimum growth conditions,there was little difference of biomass between the two types of cultivars,however,the P agronomic efficiency and P harvest index were significant higher in high P efficiency cultivars than those in low P efficiency cultivars.AO Xue GUO Xiao-hong ZHU Qian ZHANG Hui-jun WANG Hai-ying MA Zhao-hui HAN Xiao-ri ZHAO Ming-hui XIE Fu-ti 2014Journal of Integrative Agriculture2014,13,2:11
3Effect of biochar on grain yield and leaf photosynthetic physiology of soybean cultivars with different phosphorus efficiencies显示文摘This study was conducted with two soybean cultivars, Liaodou 13 (L13, phosphorus (P)-efficient) and Tiefeng 3 (T3, P-inefficient), to investigate the effects of biochar on soybean yield and photosynthetic physiological parameters, at four biochar application rates (0, 1, 5, and 10%, w/w), and two fertilization treatments (0 and 150 kg ha–1). Grain yield, plant biomass, P accumulation, leaf net photosynthetic rate (Pn), chlorophyll index (Chl), nitrogen balance index (NBI), sucrose phosphate synthase (SPS), and sucrose synthase (SS) activities, soluble sugar, sucrose and starch contents, and leaf area duration (LAD) were measured. Biochar had positive effects on Pn, Chl, NBI, SPS, and SS activities, and leaf soluble sugar, sucrose, and starch contents of both genotypes, these effects increased with biochar application rate. L13 benefited more efficiently from biochar than T3 did, as the grain yield of L13 significantly increased by 31.0 and 51.0%, at 5 and 10% biochar, respectively, while that of T3 increased by 40.4 at 10% biochar application rate, as compared with controls. The combined application of biochar and fertilizer boosted the positive effects described, but no difference was found for grain yield in L13 among biochar application rates, while grain yield of T3 continually increased with biochar rate, among which, 1% biochar combined with 150 kg ha–1 fertilizer resulted in T3 yield increment of more than 23%, compared with the application of 150 kg ha–1 fertilizer alone. Altogether, our results indicated that the application of biochar enhanced carbon assimilation in soybean, resulting in increased biomass accumulation and yield. 4Simulation and experimental investigation on a dynamic lateral flow mode in trepanning electrochemical machining显示文摘An appropriate flow mode of electrolyte has a positive effect on process efficiency, surface roughness, and machining accuracy in the electrochemical machining(ECM) process. In this study, a new dynamic lateral flow mode, in which the electrolyte flows from the leading edge to the trailing edge, was proposed in trepanning ECM of a diffuser. Then a numerical model of the channel was set up and simulated by using computational fluid dynamics software. The result showed that the distribution of the flow field was comparatively uniform in the inter-electrode gap. Furthermore, a fixture was designed to realize this new flow mode and then corresponding experiments were carried out. The experimental results illustrated that the feeding rate of the cathode reached 2 mm/min, the best taper angle was about 0.4°, and the best surface roughness was up to Ra= 0.115 lm. 5Laparoscopic umbilical trocar port site endometriosis:A case report显示文摘BACKGROUND Abdominal wall endometriosis can occur secondary to gynecological and obstetric pelvic laparotomy;however,this is a rare clinical event.There are few cases of endometriosis involving the incision site of a laparoscopic surgery,especially for those of the endometrial nodule at the umbilical trocar port site where the camera is placed.CASE SUMMARY We describe the case of a 37-year-old woman who presented with a 2-year history of a tough swelling below the umbilicus,which presented periodical pain during menstruation.The patient had undergone laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy 4 years prior,and we theorized that the umbilical nodule was a complication of that laparoscopic surgery.Histological analysis confirmed the diagnosis of abdominal umbilical scar endometriosis secondary to previous laparoscopic surgery.Surgical removal of the nodule followed by three cycles of leuprorelin was curative.CONCLUSION Abdominal mass and pain in women of childbearing age with a previous history of pelvic surgery should support consideration of endometriosis at the surgical site.Xue Ao Wei Xiong Shi-Qiao Tan 2020World Journal of Clinical Cases2020,8,8:3
6Effect of Preplant Fertilizer on Agronomic and Physiological Traits of Soybean Cultivars from Different Breeding Programs显示文摘Understanding the changes in agronomic and physiological traits associated with yield genetic gain is important for soybean production and future breeding strategy. The objective of this study was to compare the older and modern cultivars to learn whether the yield improvements depend on preplant fertilizer or the plant productivity improvement. A set of older cultivars, with their modern counterparts derived from breeding programs in Liaoning and Ohio were evaluated for their agronomic and physiological traits under different fertilizer levels from 2004 to 2006. There was no improvement of response to N and P preplant fertilizer for genotypes. After more than 70 yr breeding, soybean breeders made some improvements in agronomic and physiological traits that contribute to yield increase. When compared to older cultivar, modern Liaoning and Ohio cultivars were shorter and more resistance to lodging, had greater leaf density, higher harvest index, more leaf area per plant, and greater photosynthetic rate, transpiration rate and stomatal conductance at the beginning of seed development. 7The clinical relevance of MBL2 gene polymorphism and sepsis显示文摘Objective:To detect the clinical relevance of mannose-binding lectin 2(MBL2) gene polymorphism and sepsis in Chinese lived in Hainan island.Methods: Blood samples from 57 patients with sepsis and 69 patients without sepsis were collected in the ICU of several large hospitals in Hainan province. Genomic DNA was extracted from whole blood and then PCR purification product was sequenced and typed by 3730 sequencing analyzer. The concentration of MBIL2 in serum was detected by ELISA.Results: We found that genotype and allele distributions in two groups were in accordance with the Hardy-Weinberg Equilibrium. The frequency of GA genotype was significantly higher than that in non-sepsis group(P=0.013). A allele frequency in sepsis group was also much higher than that in non-sepsis group(P=0.028).Logister regression analysis showed that the patients who carried A allele were more prone to get sepsis than G allele carrier(P=0.014, OR=2,550, 95%CI=1.207-5.386). The MBL2 level in serum of sepsis patients with genotype GG and GA was significantly lower than that in non-sepsis group(P<0.05). 8New fossils of the Early Pleistocene Equus huanghoensis(Equidae,Perissodactyla)from Nihewan in Hebei Province of China显示文摘This paper describes new fossils of Equus huanghoensis from an Early Pleistocene bed in Nihewan, Hebei Province, which confirms the classification of E. huanghoensis by Chinese researchers. The new fossils include a relatively complete male skull and mandible with all upper and lower dentition, a broken female skull with fragment of mandible and a broken Mc III of Equus sp. The fossils were collected from the Yangshuizhan site of Nihewan. The age of the formation is about 1.6 Ma. The new materials verify some classification characteristics based on teeth published in previous descriptions. These characteristics include large teeth size, short protocone, and tilted protoloph and metaloph. We have added to these characteristics of large skull size, a developed protuberantia supramagna, pentagonal nuchal side, weak Pli cabaline, simple enamel plications; a series of new characteristics strikingly different from the other Equus horses. 10Using machine learning to improve the accuracy of genomic prediction of reproduction traits in pigs显示文摘Background:Recently,machine learning(ML)has become attractive in genomic prediction,but its superiority in genomic prediction over conventional(ss)GBLUP methods and the choice of optimal ML methods need to be investigated.Results:In this study,2566 Chinese Yorkshire pigs with reproduction trait records were genotyped with the GenoBaits Porcine SNP 50 K and PorcineSNP50 panels.Four ML methods,including support vector regression(SVR),kernel ridge regression(KRR),random forest(RF)and Adaboost.R2 were implemented.Through 20 replicates of fivefold cross-validation(CV)and one prediction for younger individuals,the utility of ML methods in genomic prediction was explored.In CV,compared with genomic BLUP(GBLUP),single-step GBLUP(ssGBLUP)and the Bayesian method BayesHE,ML methods significantly outperformed these conventional methods.ML methods improved the genomic prediction accuracy of GBLUP,ssGBLUP,and BayesHE by 19.3%,15.0% and 20.8%,respectively.In addition,ML methods yielded smaller mean squared error(MSE)and mean absolute error(MAE)in all scenarios.ssGBLUP yielded an improvement of 3.8% on average in accuracy compared to that of GBLUP,and the accuracy of BayesHE was close to that of GBLUP.In genomic prediction of younger individuals,RF and Adaboost.R2_KRR performed better than GBLUP and BayesHE,while ssGBLUP performed comparably with RF,and ssGBLUP yielded slightly higher accuracy and lower MSE than Adaboost.R2_KRR in the prediction of total number of piglets born,while for number of piglets born alive,Adaboost.R2_KRR performed significantly better than ssGBLUP.Among ML methods,Adaboost.R2_KRR consistently performed well in our study.Our findings also demonstrated that optimal hyperparameters are useful for ML methods.After tuning hyperparameters in CV and in predicting genomic outcomes of younger individuals,the average improvement was 14.3% and 21.8% over those using default hyperparameters,respectively.Conclusion:Our findings demonstrated that ML methods had better overall prediction performance than conventional genomic selection methods,and could be new options for genomic prediction.Among ML methods,Adaboost.R2_KRR consistently performed well in our study,and tuning hyperparameters is necessary for ML methods.The optimal hyperparameters depend on the character of traits,datasets etc.Xue Wang Shaolei Shi Guijiang Wang Wenxue Luo Xia Wei Ao Qiu Fei Luo Xiangdong Ding 2022Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2022,13,5:1
11The synthesis of PROTAC molecule and new target KAT6A identification of CDK9 inhibitor i CDK9显示文摘Cyclin-dependent kinases(CDKs) have become potential targets for treating various diseases, especially cancer. Compound i CDK9 is an excellent and selective CDK9 inhibitor, but its major limitation is the potential toxicity and poor understanding of the underlying mechanism. The PROTAC(proteolysis targeting chimera) degraders of bioactive molecules can significantly induce in vitro and in vivo degradation of their target protein with high selectivity and effectively reduce the dose-limiting toxicity of small molecule drugs. Therefore, we designed and synthesized the bifunctional PROTAC molecules of i CDK9, being used for identifying its previously unknown target and revealing the underlying pharmacological mechanism.The PROTAC bifunctional molecule CD-5 could selectively and significantly degrade CDK9 with low cell toxicity. Therefore, we selected CD-5 as a chemical prober in the SILAC quantitative proteomic analysis, which disclosed that CD-5 could enormously lessen the lysine acetyltransferase KAT6A. Furthermore,KAT6A degradation induced by CD-5 repressed the levels of H3K14Ac and H3K23Ac. Lastly, the streptavidin immunoprecipitation(IP) assay confirmed a direct interaction between KAT6A and i CDK9. Collectively, our results uncover that KAT6A is a potential non-kinase target of i CDK9. 12Synthesis of 3D ordered macroporous indium tin oxide using polymer colloidal crystal template显示文摘Three-dimensional (3D) ordered macroporous indium tin oxide (ITO) is pre- pared using a polymer colloidal crystal template that is formed by self-assembly of the monodisperse poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) microspheres. The morphologies and BET surface area of the macroporous material is examined by scanning electron micro- scope, transmission electron microscopy and N2 adsorption/desorption. Results indicate that the macroporous material has highly ordered arrays of the uniform pores replicated from the PMMA colloidal crystal template when the polymer colloidal crystal template is removed by calcinations at 500℃. The pore diameter (about 450 nm) of macroporous ITO slightly shrank to the PMMA microspheres. The BET surface area and pore volume of the macroporous material are 389 m2·g-1 and 0.36 cm3·g-1, respectively. Moreover, the macroporous ITO, containing 5 mol% Sn and after annealing under vacuum, shows the minimum resistivity of ρ = 8.2×10-3 Ω· cm. 13Craniometrical evidence for population admixture between Eastern and Western Eurasians in Bronze Age southwest Xinjiang显示文摘Xinjiang,the most northwest provincial administrative area of China,was the area where the oriental people met the occidental.The populations in Xinjiang exhibit very high genetic diversity.Previous study revealed that the eastern Xinjiang populations of the Bronze Age were mixed by the Eastern and the Western Eurasians.However,few studies have been performed to reveal when the population admixture started and how far to the west it reached.In this paper,we studied 148 craniofacial traits of 18 skulls from the Bronze Age Liushui graveyard in Khotan(Keriya County) in the southwest of Xinjiang.Seventeen craniometrical parameters of the Khotan samples were then compared with those of other ancient samples from around Xinjiang using dendrogram cluster analysis,principal components analysis,and multidimensional scaling.The results indicated that population sample of Liushui graveyard was mixed by the Western and Eastern Eurasians with about 79% contribution from the east.Therefore,we demonstrated that population admixture between east and west Eurasia can be traced back to as early as 1000 BC in southwest Xinjiang.TAN JingZe LI LiMing ZHANG JianBo FU WenQing , GUAN HaiJuan2, AO Xue2,WANG LingE1, WU XinHua3, HAN KangXin3, JIN Li1'2 & LI Hui1'2. 16Study on Plant Morphological Traits and Production Characteristics of Super High-Yielding Soybean显示文摘Super high-yielding soybean cultivar Liaodou 14, soybean cultivars from Ohio in the United States, and the common soybean cultivars from Liaoning Province, China, with similar geographic latitudes and identical pod-bearing habits were used as the study materials for a comparison of morphological traits and production characteristics to provide a theoretical basis for the breeding of improved super high-yielding soybean cultivars. Using a randomized block design, different soybean cultivars from the same latitude were compared under conventional and unconventional treatments for their production characteristics, including morphological traits, leaf area index (LAI), net photosynthesis rate, and dry matter accumulation. The specific characteristics of the super high-yielding soybean cultivar Liaodou 14 were analyzed. The results showed that the plant height of Liaodou 14 was significantly lower than that of the common cultivars from Liaoning, whereas the number of its main-stem nodes was higher than that of the cultivars from Ohio or Liaoning. A high pod density was observed in Liaodou 14 under conventional treatments. Under both conventional and unconventional treatments, the branch number of Liaodou 14 was markedly higher than that of the common cultivars from Liaoning, and its branch length and leaf inclination angle were significantly higher than those of common cultivars from Liaoning or Ohio. Only small changes in the leaf inclination angle were observed in Liaodou 14 treated with conventional or unconventional methods. Under each treatment, Liaodou 14 exhibited the lowest amplitude of reduction in SPAD values and net photosynthesis rates from the grain-filling to ripening stages; the cultivars from Ohio and the common cultivars from Liaoning exhibited more significant reductions. Liaodou 14 reached its peak LAI later than the other cultivars but maintained its LAI at a higher level for a longer duration. Under both conventional and unconventional treatments, Liaodou 14 produced a higher yield than the other two cultivars, with significant differences from the Ohio cultivars. 18SEMG-based fighter pilot muscle fatigue analysis and operation performance research显示文摘Fatigue has a tremendously adverse impact on pilot performance.This study aims to explore the Biceps Brachii(BB),Rectus Femoris(RF),Flexor Carpi Radialis(FCR),and Tibialis Anterior(TA)activities of fighter pilots in the early and late combat stages,and the target hitting time.A total of 13 volunteers were recruited to conduct simulated combats inside a real fighter cockpit.The surface Electromyography(sEMG)was collected from all volunteers in the initial and final 20s of flight,and the target hitting time during three simulated combats was recorded.The root mean square(RMS)values of right BB and TA were significantly higher than the left side values(p<0.001),while insignificant differences were found in the RMS values between the bilateral RF and FCR.Compared to the early flight period,the median frequency(MF)values of BB and TA were significantly lower during the late flight period,and the RMS values were significantly higher(p<0.047).Contrastively,the RMS values of FCR and RF differed insignificantly during the late flight period.Regarding the target hitting time,a significant difference was noted between task 1 and rask3.Subjects exhibit varying levels of muscle fatigue for different muscle groups before and after the flight.The muscle fatigue levels are asymmetrical on the left and right sides.Muscle fatigue might reduce the pilots'operational ability.This study provides a reference for fighter pilot fatigue protection and treatment.Biyun Zhou Bo Chen Huijuan Shi Lihao Xue Yingfang Ao Li Ding 2022Medicine in Novel Technology and Devices2022,,4:0

20Simultaneous generation of electricity, ethylene and decomposition of nitrous oxide via protonic ceramic fuel cell membrane reactor显示文摘Ethylene,one of the most widely produced building blocks in the petrochemical industry,has received intense attention.Ethylene production,using electrochemical hydrogen pump-facilitated nonoxidative dehydrogenation of ethane(NDE)to ethylene,is an emerging and promising route,promoting the transformation of the ethylene industry from energy-intensive steam cracking process to new electrochemical membrane reactor technology.In this work,the NDE reaction is incorporated into a BaZr_(0.1)Ce_(0.7)Y_(0.1)Yb_(0.1)O_(3-δ)electrolyte-supported protonic ceramic fuel cell membrane reactor to co-generate electricity and ethylene,utilizing the Nb and Cu doped perovskite oxide Pr_(0.6)Sr_(0.4)Fe_(0.8)Nb_(0.1)Cu_(0.1)O_(3-δ)(PSFNCu)as anode catalytic layer.Due to the doping of Nb and Cu,PSFNCu was endowed with high reduction tolerance and rich oxygen vacancies,showing excellent NDE catalytic performance.The maximum power density of the assembled reactor reaches 200 mW cm^(-2)at 750℃,with high ethane conversion(44.9%)and ethylene selectivity(92.7%).Moreover,the nitrous oxide decomposition was first coupled in the protonic ceramic fuel cell membrane reactor to consume the permeated protons.As a result,the generation of electricity,ethylene and decomposition of nitrous oxide can be simultaneously obtained by a single reactor.Specifically,the maximum power density of the cell reaches 208 mW cm^(-2)at 750℃,with high ethane conversion(45.2%),ethylene selectivity(92.5%),and nitrous oxide conversion(19,0%).This multi-win technology is promising for not only the production of chemicals and energy but also greenhouse gas reduction.Song Lei Ao Wang Guowei Weng Ying Wu Jian Xue Haihui Wang 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,2:0
