| 1 | Strategy and Future Prospects to Develop Room-Temperature-Recoverable NO2 Gas Sensor Based on Two-Dimensional Molybdenum Disulfide显示文摘Nitrogen dioxide(NO2),a hazardous gas with acidic nature,is continuously being liberated in the atmosphere due to human activity.The NO2 sensors based on traditional materials have limitations of high-temperature requirements,slow recovery,and performance degradation under harsh environmental conditions.These limitations of traditional materials are forcing the scientific community to discover future alternative NO2 sensitive materials.Molybdenum disulfide(MoS2)has emerged as a potential candidate for developing next-generation NO2 gas sensors.MoS2 has a large surface area for NO2 molecules adsorption with controllable morphologies,facile integration with other materials and compatibility with internet of things(IoT)devices.The aim of this review is to provide a detailed overview of the fabrication of MoS2 chemiresistance sensors in terms of devices(resistor and transistor),layer thickness,morphology control,defect tailoring,heterostructure,metal nanoparticle doping,and through light illumination.Moreover,the experimental and theoretical aspects used in designing MoS2-based NO2 sensors are also discussed extensively.Finally,the review concludes the challenges and future perspectives to further enhance the gas-sensing performance of MoS2.Understanding and addressing these issues are expected to yield the development of highly reliable and industry standard chemiresistance NO2 gas sensors for environmental monitoring. | Abhay V.Agrawal Naveen Kumar Mukesh Kumar | 2021 | Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,2: | 7 |
| 2 | Protective effects of Phyllanthus acidus(L.) Skeels leaf extracts on acetaminophen and thioacetamide induced hepatic injuries in Wistar rats显示文摘Objective:To investigate and compare the hepatoprotective effects of crude ethanolic and aqueous extracts of Phyllanthus acidus(L.) Skeels(P.acidus) leaves on acetaminophen(APAP) and thioacetamide(TAA) induced liver toxicity in wistar rats.Silymarin was the reference hepatoprotective agent.Methods:In two different sets of experiments,the P.acidus extracts (200 and 400 mg/kg,body weight) and silymarin(100 mg/kg,body weight) were given orally for 7 days and a single dose of APAP(2 g/kg,per oral) or TAA(100 mg/kg,subcutaneous) were given to rats.The level of serum aspartate transaminase(AST),alanine transaminase(ALT),alkaline phosphatase(ALP),total bilirubin and total protein were monitored to assess hepatotoxicity and hepatoprotection.Results:APAP or TAA administration caused severe hepatic damage in rats as evident from significant rise in serum AST,ALT,ALP,total bilirubin and concurrent depletion in total serum protein.The P.acidus extracts and silymarin prevented the toxic effects of APAP or TAA on the above serum parameters indicating the hepatoprotective action.The aqueous extract was found to be more potent than the corresponding ethanolic extract against both toxicants.The phenolic and flavonoid content(175.02±4.35 and 74.68±1.28,respectively) and 2,2-diphenyl-1- picrylhydrazil(DPPH)[IC50=(33.2±0.31)μg/mL]scavenging potential was found maximum with aqueous extract as compared to ethanolic extract.Conclusions:The results of present study suggests that the aqueous extract of P.acidus leaves has significant hepatoprotective activity on APAP and TAA induced hepatotoxicity,which might be associate with its high phenolic and flavonoid content and antioxidant properties. | Nilesh Kumar Jain Abhay K Singhai | 2011 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2011,4,6: | 6 |
| 3 | 西印度醋栗对四氯化碳引起的大鼠和小鼠急性过氧化肝损伤的保护作用(英文)显示文摘目的:证实西印度醋栗(Phyllanthus acidus(L.)Skeels)的果实在传统医学中作为保肝药使用的药用用途。方法:连续5d分别给予各组大鼠西印度醋栗果实的70%乙醇提取物(100,200和400mg/kg口服)及对照药水飞蓟素(100mg/kg口服)并于第2天及第3天皮下注射四氯化碳(2mL/kg)。测定血清天冬氨酸氨基转移酶(aspartate transaminase,AST)、丙氨酸氨基转移酶(alanine transaminase,ALT)、碱性磷酸酶(alkaline phosphatase,ALP)、总胆红素以及总蛋白并进行肝脏组织病理学检测。检测大鼠肝组织匀浆中的氧化应激标记物如脂质过氧化反应(lipid peroxidation,LPO)、还原型谷胱甘肽(reduced glutathione,GSH)、超氧化物歧化酶(superoxide dismutase,SOD)、过氧化氢酶(catalase,CAT)以及谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶(glutathione peroxidase,GPx)以衡量西印度醋栗的体外抗氧化作用。此外,本实验还记录了伊维巴诱导的给药后小鼠睡眠时间,使用2,2-二苯基-1-苦基肼(2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazil,DPPH)法测定小鼠服药后的自由基清除率。结果:与对照组相比,西印度醋栗果实的乙醇提取物及水飞蓟素均显著降低了模型大鼠血清AST、ALT和ALP水平及LPO并升高了TP、GSH、SOD、CAT和GPx的水平(P<0.01或P<0.05)。大鼠肝脏组织的组织病理学切片结果也证实了以上实验结果。在小鼠实验中,与对照组相比,西印度醋栗果实的乙醇提取物显著缩短了伊维巴诱导的小鼠睡眠时间(P<0.01),并具有较高的DPPH清除率。结论:本研究的实验结果证实了西印度醋栗果实对四氯化碳引起的大鼠急性过氧化肝损伤的保护作用,机制可能与其抗氧化作用及自由基清除功能有关。 | Nilesh Kumar Jain Santram Lodhi Avijeet Jain Alok Nahata Abhay K.Singhai | 2011 | 中西医结合学报2011,9,1: | 3 |

| 5 | Effects of chemical reactions on MHD micropolar fluid flow past a vertical plate in slip-flow regime显示文摘Heat and mass transfer effects on the unsteady flow of a micropolar fluid through a porous medium bounded by a semi-infinite vertical plate in a slip-flow regime are studied taking into account a homogeneous chemical reaction of the first order. A uniform magnetic field acts perpendicular to the porous surface absorb micropolar fluid with a suction velocity varying with time. The free stream velocity follows an exponentially increasing or decreasing small perturbation law. Using the approximate method, the expressions for the velocity microrotation, temperature, and concentration are obtained. | 7 | Baicalin provides protection against fluoxetine-induced hepatotoxicity by modulation of oxidative stress and inflammation显示文摘BACKGROUND Fluoxetine is one of the most widely prescribed anti-depressant drugs belonging to the category of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors.Long-term fluoxetine treatment results in hepatotoxicity.Baicalin,a natural compound obtained from the Chinese herb Scutellaria baicalensis is known to have antioxidant,hepatoprotective and anti-inflammatory effects.However,the beneficial effects of baicalin against fluoxetine-induced hepatic damage have not previously been reported.AIM To evaluate the protective action of baicalin in fluoxetine-induced liver toxicity and inflammation.METHODS Male albino Wistar rats were divided into seven groups.Group 1 was the normal control.Oral fluoxetine was administered at 10 mg/kg body weight to groups 2,3,4 and 5.In addition,groups 3 and 4 were also co-administered oral baicalin(50 mg/kg and 100 mg/kg,respectively)while group 5 received silymarin(100 mg/kg),a standard hepatoprotective compound for comparison.Groups 6 and 7 were used as a positive control for baicalin(100 mg/kg)and silymarin(100 mg/kg),respectively.All treatments were carried out for 28 d.After sacrifice of the rats,biomarkers of oxidative stress[superoxide dismutase(SOD),catalase(CAT),reduced glutathione(GSH),glutathione-S-transferase(GST),advanced oxidation protein products(AOPP),malondialdehyde(MDA)],and liver injury[alanine transaminase(ALT),aspartate transaminase(AST),alkaline phosphatase(ALP),total protein,albumin,bilirubin]were studied in serum and tissue using standard protocols and diagnostic kits.Inflammatory markers[tumor necrosis factor(TNF-α),interleukin(IL)-6,IL-10 and interferon(IFN)-γ]in serum were evaluated using ELISA-based kits.The effect of baicalin on liver was also analyzed by histopathological examination of tissue sections.RESULTS Fluoxetine-treated rats showed elevated levels of the serum liver function markers(total bilirubin,ALT,AST,and ALP)and inflammatory markers(TNF-α,IL-6,IL-10 and IFN-γ),with a decline in total protein and albumin levels.Biochemical markers of oxidative stress such as SOD,CAT,GST,GSH,MDA and AOPP in the liver tissue homogenate were also altered indicating a surge in reactive oxygen species leading to oxidative damage.Histological examination of liver tissue also showed degeneration of hepatocytes.Concurrent administration of baicalin(50 and 100 mg/kg)restored the biomarkers of oxidative stress,inflammation and hepatic damage in serum as well as in liver tissues to near normal levels.CONCLUSION These findings suggested that long-term treatment with fluoxetine leads to oxidative stress via the formation of free radicals that consequently cause inflammation and liver damage.Concurrent treatment with baicalin alleviated fluoxetine-induced hepatotoxicity and liver injury by regulating oxidative stress and inflammation. | Risha Ganguly Ramesh Kumar Abhay K Pandey | 2022 | World Journal of Hepatology2022,14,4: | 1 |
