Cloning and Characterization of miRNAs and Their Targets, Including a Novel miRNA-Targeted NBS-LRR Protein Class Gene in Apple (Golden Delicious)显示文摘MicroRNA (miRNA ) 在植物作为基因表示的一个重要管理者出现了。 | Chao Ma You Lu Songlin Bai Wennan Zhang Xuwei Duan Dong Meng Zhigang Wang Aide Wang Zongshan Zhou Tianzhong Li | 2014 | Molecular Plant2014,7,1: | 19
Comparative Transcriptome Analysis of Actinidia arguta Fruits Reveals the Involvement of Various Transcription Factors in Ripening显示文摘The fruit of Actinidia arguta is typically climacteric.During ripening, the fruits produce a large amount of ethylene.Although the molecular basis of climacteric fruit ripening has been extensively studied, some aspects such as its transcriptional regulation remain unclear. Here,we compared the transcriptomes of A.arguta fruits collected at commercial harvest(sample d0)and at 6 days after harvest(sample d6)using RNA-seq.A total of 3 659 differentially expressed genes(DEGs)between samples d0 and d6 were detected,of which 2 983 and 1 104 could be functionally annotated with Gene Ontology(GO)and Clusters of Orthologous Groups(COG)pathways.DEGs involved in ethylene biosynthesis and signal transduction were identified, including ACO(c79627),ERF061(c105131),and ERF6(c99193).Transcription factors such as ERF,b HLH,NAC,MADS,and MYB were also differentially expressed between samples d0 and d6.Selected DEGs were subjected to further analysis using quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(q RT-PCR),and the results coincided with those of RNA-seq.Our data revealed additional transcription factors that are involved in the regulation of fruit ripening. These results provide useful information for future research on the transcriptional regulation of fruit ripening. | HUANG Guohui QU Yi LI Tong YUAN Hui WANG Aide TAN Dongmei | 2018 | Horticultural Plant Journal2018,4,1: | 9
Characteristics of the lower layer of sandstorms in the Minqin desert-oasis zone显示文摘By measuring the sand-dust flux, vertical deposition, and the wind velocity throughout 19 sandstorms in the Minqin region,we quantitatively analyzed the horizontal distribution and vertical variation in sandstorm characteristics under different land cover conditions. The effect of different land cover on mitigating sandstorms was also investigated. The results indicated that,in the surface layer ranging from 0-50 m,the intensity of sand-dust horizontal flux and concentration of sand-dust decreased with the increase of the height in the desert and the edge of oasis, whereas the two physical quantities increased slightly with the increase of the height in the oasis. The two physical quantities obey power function well under all three cover conditions. Moreover,in the desert and at the edge of oasis, the sand-dust vertical deposition decreased with the increase of the height. But a partial unimodal distribution at the oasis site and the maximum deposition occurred at the height of 9 m,which corresponds to the middle height of farmland protection forest. The annual flux that passed through a section of 1 m in width and 50 m in height was 9169 kg in the desert,5318 kg at the edge of oasis, and 2345 kg in the oasis. And the annual fluxes at the edge of oasis and in the oasis are 42% and 74% less, respectively, than that in the desert. This implies that the wind break forest significantly reduced the intensity of sandstorms. | ZHAO Ming ZHAN KeJie YANG ZiHui FANG ErTian QIU GuoYu WANG QiangQiang ZHANG YinChang GUO ShuJiang LI AiDe ZHANG JingChun | 2011 | Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,5: | 8

RECENT ADVANCES IN THE REGULATION OF CLIMACTERIC FRUIT RIPENING:HORMONE,TRANSCRIPTION FACTOR AND EPIGENETIC MODIFICATIONS显示文摘Fruit ripening is a complex developmental process made up of genetically programmed physiological and biochemical activities. It culminates in desirable changes in the structural and textural properties and is governed by a complex regulatory network.Much is known about ethylene, one of the most important metabolites promoting the ripening of climacteric fruits. However, the dynamic interplay between phytohormones also plays an important part.Additional regulatory factors such as transcription factors(TFs)and epigenetic modifications also play vital role in the regulation of climacteric fruit ripening. Here,we review and evaluate the complex regulatory network comprising interactions between hormones and the action of TFs and epigenetic modifications during climacteric fruit ripening. | Yinglin JI Mingyang XU Aide WANG | 2021 | Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering2021,8,2: | 1
Canonical Correlation Factors Causing the Formation of Accumulated Sand-belts along the Oasis Fringe in Hexi Corridor显示文摘Accumulated sand-belts refer to those formed along the oasis fringe, especially at the upwind location, due to the accumulation of sand blocked by farmland windbreak. In the 60 years since the foundation of new China,a lot of trees have been planted for desertification combating in northwest and north China, thus, accumulated sand-belts were formed at the upwind location. The formation and the ecological effects of the accumulated sand-belts along the oasis fringe is a new scientific concern. To study the formation causes of these belts in Hexi corridor,21 samples were selected, and the height / width of the belts,as well as the vegetation, soil, soil moisture and climatic factors were investigated. This paper analyzed the correlation between the height / width of the belts and the vegetation, soil, soil moisture and climatic factors using the methods of variance analysis, correlation analysis and canonical correlation analysis. The results indicate that: the accumulated sand-belts take a trend of being high and wide in the east whereas low and narrow in the west, and most of the parts tend to be stable; the species on the belts are dominated by Tamarix austromongolica, the vegetation cover and the pure vegetation cover of different dominant species on the leeward slope of the accumulated sand-belts vary significantly. The canonical correlation analysis shows that: the height and width of accumulated sand-belt is the interaction of precipitation, distance to the sand source, leeward vegetation cover and annual average wind speed. Moreover, the height of accumulated sand-belts are negatively correlated to the soil moisture at the depth of 30- 50 cm,air humidity and leeward vegetation cover, and the width of the belts is also negatively correlated with the distance to the sand source. The ecological effects of the accumulated sand-belts are both positive( stopping sands from moving into farmland, protective role as an obstacle)and negative( when the belts decay and activate one day, they will become the new sand sources). At present, there are no signs showing the negative effects of the belts. The ecological effects of the accumulated sand-belts are: firstly the protective role as an obstacle, and secondly to intercept and reduce the sands moving into farmlands. | Chang Zhaofeng Wang Qiangqiang Zhang Jianhui Tang Jinnian Zhu Shujuan Fan Baoli Zhang Dabiao Liu Shizeng Zhang Guozhong Li Aide | 2014 | Animal Husbandry and Feed Science2014,6,5: | 0
Comparative transcriptome analysis of the climacteric of apple fruit uncovers the involvement of transcription factors affecting ethylene biosynthesis显示文摘Apple(Malus domestica)fruit generally undergoes a climacteric.During its ripening process, there is a peak in ethylene release and its firmness simultaneously decreases.Although more in-depth research into the mechanism of climacteric-type fruit ripening is being carried out, some aspects remain unclear. In this study,we compared the transcriptomes of 0-Pre and 15-Post(pre-and post-climacteric fruit),and 15-Post and 15-MCP[fruit treated with 1-MCP(1-methylcyclopropene)].Various transcription factors, such as MADS-box,ERF,NAC,Dof and SHF were identified among the DEGs(differential gene expressions).Furthermore, these transcription factors were selected for further validation analysis by qRT-PCR.Moreover,yeast one hybrid(Y1H),β-glucuronidase(GUS)transactivation assay and dual-luciferase reporter assay showed that MdAGL30,MdAGL104,MdERF008,MdNAC71,MdDof1.2,MdHSFB2a and MdHSFB3 bound to MdACS1 promoter and directly regulated its transcription, thereby regulating ethylene biosynthesis in apple fruit. Our results provide useful information and new insights for research on apple fruit ripening. | Tong Li Xiao Zhang Yun Wei Yaxiu Xu Weiting Liu Hongjian Li Guangxin Yang Aide Wang Xiaoxue Wang | 2023 | Horticultural Plant Journal2023,9,4: | 0

The HY5 transcription factor negatively regulates ethylene production by inhibiting ACS1 expression under blue light conditions in pear显示文摘Ethylene is the main factor controlling fruit ripening of pear(Pyrus ussuriensis).Ethylene production rate is negatively correlated with fruit shelf life;therefore,it is important to decrease the ethylene levels for optimal fruit storage. Here,we observed that blue light treatment could inhibit ethylene production and promote the expression of ELONGATED HYPOCOTYL 5(PuHY5),a basic leucine zipper domain(bZIP)transcription factor. The following studies showed that PuHY5 could bind to the promoter of ACC synthase 1(PuACS1),a rate-limiting enzyme in ethylene biosynthesis, and inhibit its expression. For pears in which Pu HY5 was silenced, the ethylene production and PuACS1 expression were much higher than those in the control fruit. These results demonstrated that blue light inhibited ethylene production through the induction of Pu HY5 in pear. Our finding provides a new method for prolonging fruit shelf life. | Weiting Liu Lichao Zhang Li Ma Hui Yuan Aide Wang | 2023 | Horticultural Plant Journal2023,9,5: | 0
Effects of calcium application on apple fruit softening during storage revealed by proteomics and phosphoproteomics显示文摘Fruit ripening has been reported to be related to calcium(Ca),but the underlying mechanisms by which Ca regulates this process remain largely unknown. In order to study the changes of proteins and enriched phosphopeptides,we conducted TMT labeling,bio-material-based PTM enrichment based on mass spectrometry in Ca-treated‘Golden Delicious’(GD)apple fruit(Malus×domestica). This dataset presents a comprehensive overview of the critical pathways involved in fruit ripening.A total of 47 proteins and 124 phosphoproteins significantly changed in Ca-treated fruit, which are crucial for regulating the cell wall and cytoskeleton,Ca-mediated signaling and transport, ethylene production, protein fate, especially ubiquitination-based protein degradation, and primary and secondary metabolisms. Our results indicated that Ca inhibited the abundance of polygalacturonase(PG)activity and increased the phosphorylation level of CSLD3.PG and phosphorylation were involved in cell wall degradation, thereby delaying fruit softening. As a secondary messenger,Ca-mediated signaling subsequently triggered downstream mitogen-activated protein kinases(MAPK)cascades and activated the membrane, transport, and ROS signaling.Moreover,MdEIN2,a key enzyme involved in the ubiquitin of protein modification, increased at Ser753 and Ser758 in Ca-treated fruit.Furthermore, diverse primary and secondary metabolisms including glycolysis, fatty acid metabolism, and oxidation respiratory chain were modulated to prevent fruit softening. These results provide basic information from protein and phosphorylation levels for apple fruit ripening during storage, which may be helpful for apple fruit storage control. | Yaxiu Xu Jiaojiao Liu Nannan Zang Zepeng Yin Aide Wang | 2022 | Horticultural Plant Journal2022,8,4: | 0
