| 2 | Tempo-spatial Variation of Nutrient and Chlorophyll-a Concentrations From Summer to Winter in the Zhangzi Island Area (Northern Yellow Sea)显示文摘Nutrient and Chlorophyll-a(Chl-a) concentrations were investigated monthly along three transects extending from a mariculture area to open waters around the Zhangzi Island area from July to December 2009.The objective of this study is to illustrate food availability to the bottom-sowed scallop Patinopecten yessoensis under the influences of the Yellow Sea Cold Water Mass(YSCWM),freshwater input and feedbacks of cultivated scallops.Significant thermal stratification was present in open waters from July to October,and salinity decreased in July and August in surface layers in the mariculture area.Nutrient concentrations increased with depth in both areas in summer,but were similar through water column in November and December.On average,nutrient increased from summer to autumn in all components except ammonia.Nutrient concentrations lower than the minimum thresholds for phytoplankton growth were present only in upper layers in summer,but stoichiometric nitrogen limitation existed in the entire investigation period.Column-averaged Chl-a concentration was lower in open waters than in mariculture area in all months.It increased significantly in mariculture area in August and October,and was less variable in open waters.Our results show that nutrients limitation to phytoplankton growth is present mainly in upper layer in association with stratification caused by YSCWM in summer.Freshwater input and upwelling of nutrients accumulated in YSCWM can stimulate phytoplankton production in mariculture area.Farming activities may change stoichiometric nutrient ratios but have less influence on Chl-a concentration. | YIN Jiehui ZHAO Zengxia ZHANG Guangtao WANG Shiwei WAN Aiyong | 2013 | Journal of Ocean University of China2013,12,3: | 4 |
| 3 | Two-dimensional regularized inversion of AMT data based on rotation invariant of Central impedance tensor显示文摘Considering the uncertainty of the electrical axis for two-dimensional audo-magnetotelluric(AMT) data processing, an AMT inversion method with the Central impedance tensor was presented. First, we present a calculation expression of the Central impedance tensor in AMT, which can be considered as the arithmetic mean of TE-polarization mode and TM-polarization mode in the twodimensional geo-electrical model. Second, a least-squares iterative inversion algorithm is established, based on a smoothnessconstrained model, and an improved L-curve method is adopted to determine the best regularization parameters. We then test the above inversion method with synthetic data and field data. The test results show that this two-dimensional AMT inversion scheme for the responses of Central impedance is effective and can reconstruct reasonable two-dimensional subsurface resistivity structures. | 4 | A large-scale clustering and 3D trajectory optimization approach for UAV swarms显示文摘With the significant development of unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)technologies,a rapid increase on the use of UAV swarms in a wide range of civilian and emergency applications has been witnessed.However,how to efficiently network the large-scale UAVs and implement the swarms applications without infrastructure support in remote areas is challenging.In this paper,we investigate a hierarchal large-scale infrastructure-less UAV swarm scenario,where numerous UAVs surveil and collect data from the ground and a ferry UAV(Ferry UAV)is designated to carry back all their collected data.We can divide UAV swarms into different areas based on their geographic locations due to the wide range of surveillance.To improve data collection efficiency of Ferry UAV,we introduce a single super cluster head(Super-CH)UAV in each area which can be selected by the proposed modified k-means clustering algorithm with low latency.Then,we design an iterative approach to optimize the 3-dimensional(3D)trajectory of Ferry UAV such that its data collection mission completion time is minimized.Numerical results show the efficiency and low-latency of the proposed clustering algorithm,and the proposed 3D optimal trajectory design for large-scale UAV swarms data collection admits better performance than that with fixed altitude. | Ting MA Haibo ZHOU Bo QIAN Aiyong FU | 2021 | Science China(Information Sciences)2021,64,4: | 2 |

| 7 | Highly efficient production of 2,5-dihydroxymethylfuran from biomass-derived 5-hydroxymethylfurfural over an amorphous and mesoporous zirconium phosphonate catalyst显示文摘The development of high-efficiency and low-cost catalysts is very crucial for the MeerweinPonndorf-Verley (MPV) reduction of biomass-derived 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) into 2,5-dihydroxymethylfuran (DHMF). In this work, an amorphous and mesoporous zirconium phosphonate catalyst (Zr-DTMP), which is a zirconium-containing organic-inorganic nanohybrid, was successfully designed and synthesized by the simple assembly of zirconium tetrachloride (ZrCl4) and diethylene triaminepenta(methylene phosphonic acid)(DTMP). Satisfactorily, when Zr-DTMP was employed for the MPV reduction of HMF in the presence of 2-butanol (secBuOH), DHMF yield could be achieved as 96.5% in 3 h under a relatively mild reaction temperature of 140℃. Systematic investigations indicated that this high catalytic activity should be mainly due to the cooperative role of enhancive Lewis acid site (Zr4+) and Lewis base site (O2-) in activating the carbonyl group of HMF and dissociating the hydroxyl group of secBuOH, respectively. Additionally, Zr-DTMP showed excellent catalytic stability, when it was successively used 5 recycles, its surface characteristics and textural properties still remained almost unchanged, and so, the catalytic activity was not obviously affected. | 10 | Experimental clearance rates of Aurelia coerulea ephyrae and medusae,and the predation impact on zooplankton in Jiaozhou Bay显示文摘The population explosion of jellyfish Aurelia coerulea occurred in Jiaozhou Bay,China in 2009.The potential predation impact of A.coerulea on zooplankton was investigated.Population clearance potential and residence time(t 1/2)for copepods were calculated from laboratory clearance rates and measurements of jellyfish size and abundance from May to August 2009 in Jiaozhou Bay.Clearance rates varied widely with prey organisms,but they were not significantly different among various prey concentrations.Medusae captured rotifers,fish larvae and hydromedusae more efficiently than fish eggs,copepods and chaetognaths.Ephyrae captured rotifers and hydromedusae more efficiently than fish larvae and copepods.Clearance rate linearly increased with the cross sectional area of A.coerulea(size from 0.3 to 7.1 cm).Water temperature also had a marked effect on clearance rate and this was related to the increased beat frequency as water temperature increased.In early May 2009,A.coerulea potentially cleared the volume of water in the Bay less than 0.001 times a day,but this value was estimated to be more than 0.3 times a day in July.The t 1/2 for copepods was less than 6 d in June and July.Abundances of copepods,hydromedusae and chaetognaths were extremely low in 2009 compared to 2008 and 2010(jellyfish non-bloom years).Large predation pressure by the A.coerulea population occurred to control zooplankton communities in Jiaozhou Bay.A.coerulea,when present at a high population level,can be a keystone species in Jiaozhou Bay and control the trophic structure here. | WANG Pengpeng ZHANG Fang SUN Song WANG Weicheng WAN Aiyong LI Chaolun | 2020 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2020,38,4: | 1 |
