| 1 | Monitoring Greenhouses Gases over China Using Space-Based Observations Monitoring Greenhouses Gases over China Using Space-Based Observations显示文摘The atmospheric carbon dioxide(CO 2)concentration has increased to more than 405 parts per million(ppm.1 ppm=10-6 m/s 2)in 2017 due to human activities such as deforestation,land-use change and burning of fossil fuels.Although there is broad scientific consensus on the damaging consequences of the change in climate associated with increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases,fossil CO 2 emissions have continued to increase in recent years mainly from rapidly developing economies and China is now the largest emitter of CO 2 generating about 30%of all emissions globally.To allow more reliable forecast of the future state of the carbon cycle and to support the efforts for mitigation greenhouse gas emissions,a better understanding of the global and regional carbon budget is needed.Space-based measurements of CO 2 can provide the necessary observations with dense coverage and sampling to provide improved constrains on of carbon fluxes and emissions.The Chinese Global Carbon Dioxide Monitoring Scientific Experimental Satellite(TanSat)was established by the National High Technology Research and Development Program of China with the main objective of monitoring atmospheric CO 2 and CO 2 fluxes at the regional and global scale.TanSat has been successfully launched in December 2016 and as part of the Dragon programme of ESA and the Ministry of Science and Technology(MOST),a team of researchers from Europe(UK and Finland)and China has evaluated early TanSat data and contrast it against data from the GOSAT mission and models.In this manuscript,we report on retrieval intercomparisons of TanSat data using two different retrieval algorithms,on validation efforts for the Eastern Asia region using GOSAT CO 2 data and first assessments of TanSat and GOSAT CO 2 data against model calculations using the GEOS-Chem model. | Hartmut BOESCH Yi LIU Paul I PALMER Johanna TAMMINEN Jasdeep S ANAND Zhaonan CAI Ke CHE Huilin CHEN Xi CHEN Liang FENG Janne HAKKARAINEN Pauli HEIKKINEN Nikoleta KALAITZI Rigel KIVI Robert PARKER Peter SOMKUTI Jing WANG Alex WEBB Dongxu YANG Lu YAO You YI | 2020 | Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science2020，3，4： | 2 |
| 2 | Fluctuation of visual analog scale pain scores and opioid consumption before and after total hip arthroplasty显示文摘BACKGROUND Patients who undergo orthopedic procedures are often given excess opioid medication.Understanding the relationship between pain and opioid consumption following total hip arthroplasty(THA)is key to creating safe and effective opioid prescribing guidelines.AIM To evaluate the association between the quantity of opioid consumption in relation to pain scores both pre-and postoperatively in patients undergoing primary THA.METHODS We retrospectively reviewed patients who underwent primary THA from November 2018-May 2019 and answered both the visual analog scale(VAS)pain and opioid medication questionnaires pre-and postoperatively.Both surveys were delivered daily for 7-days before surgery through the first 30 postoperative days.Survey results were divided into preoperative,postoperative days 1-7,postoperative days 8-14,and postoperative days 15-30 for analysis.Mean opioid pill consumption and VAS pain scores in each time period were determined and compared to patients’preoperative status using hierarchical Poisson and linear regressions,respectively.RESULTS There were 105 patients included.Mean VAS pain scores were the highest preoperatively 7.41±1.72.However,VAS pain scores significantly declined in each successive postoperative category compared to preoperative scores:postoperative day 1-7(5.07±1.79;P<0.001),postoperative day 8-14(3.60±1.64;P<0.001),and postoperative day 15-30(3.15±1.63;P<0.001).Mean opioid pill consumption preoperatively was 0.68±1.29 pills.Compared to preoperative opioid consumption,opioid use was significantly greater between postoperative days 1-7(1.51±1.58;P=0.001)and postoperative days 8-14(1.00±1.27;P=0.043).Opioid consumption declined below preoperative levels between postoperative days 15-30(0.35±0.72;P=0.160)which correlates with a VAS pain score of 3.15.CONCLUSION All patients experienced significant benefit and pain relief from having undergone THA.Average postoperative opioid consumption decreased below preoperative consumption between postoperative days 15-30,which was associated with a VAS pain score of 3.15.These results can be used to appropriately guide opioid prescribing practices and set patient expectations regarding pain management following THA. | Vivek Singh Alex Tang Thomas Bieganowski Utkarsh Anil William Macaulay Ran Schwarzkopf Roy I Davidovitch | 2022 | World Journal of Orthopedics2022，13，8： | 2 |
