| 2 | NUMERICAL SIMULATION AND MEASUREMENT OF TURBULENT JET WITH FREE SURFACE显示文摘This paper presents a numerical simulation of submerged turbulent jet by pseudo-compressibility method. The Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes equations are confined by the κ-ε model. Especially, based on the experimental data of Reynolds stress [1],a modified form of the κ-ε model is proposed. For the boundary of free surface, it is approximated by linearized free surface conditions. The free surface location η(x,z,t) is obtained by solving free surface equation, and a third-order upwind difference scheme is introduced into the derivative term of wave elevation. In addition, experiments are conducted in water channel and maneuvering pool. Jet flow velocity distribution for different depths of jet nozzle are measured.
