1高锰酸钾改性桉木生物炭对Pb(Ⅱ)的吸附特性显示文摘以桉木为原料,使用高锰酸钾对桉木生物炭(BC)进行改性,制备改性生物炭(KBC).对其进行表征,并进行了水溶液中Pb(Ⅱ)的静态吸附实验,探究了溶液pH、吸附剂投加量、吸附时间、温度和初始浓度对Pb(Ⅱ)的吸附效果影响.结果表明,最佳吸附反应pH为5,吸附在6 h达到饱和,当温度为25℃,Pb(Ⅱ)的初始浓度为100 mg·L^(-1),吸附剂投加量为0.06 g时,KBC对Pb(Ⅱ)的最大吸附量为83.059 mg·g^(-1),去除率为99.67%.KBC对Pb(Ⅱ)的吸附遵循二级动力学模型和Langmuir等温吸附模型,其是发生在均匀表面的单层吸附.采用BET、SEM-EDS、XRD、FT-IR和XPS对吸附剂进行表征分析,发现吸附机制主要是KBC含氧和KBC含锰基团通过络合作用和沉淀作用来吸附Pb(Ⅱ),以及在吸附过程中生物炭表面会形成—O—Pb—O—双齿配合物.因此,高锰酸钾改性BC可以作为一种很好的Pb(Ⅱ)吸附剂.莫贞林 曾鸿鹄 林华 Asfandyar Shahab 石清亮 张华 2021环境科学2021,42,11:17
2Hydrochemical characteristics and water quality assessment for drinking and agricultural purposes in District Jacobabad,Lower Indus Plain,Pakistan显示文摘Undeniably water is of utmost importance while considering basic necessities.This investigation emphasized on the hydrochemical evaluation and drinking water quality assessment in District Jacobabad located in lower Indus plain,Pakistan.Certainly world's largest irrigation system emerged from Indus Basin,which is underlain by well transmissive aquifer resulting in higher water table.Water supply schemes with their water sources from ground water and surface water provide piped water for drinking purpose to the community.Water samples were collected from all the forty eight supply schemes of which thirty two were found nonfunctional.Analytical parameters were compared with World Health Organization(WHO)and Pakistan Water Quality Standards but adversely substantial samples were found nonpotable.Alkalinity,bicarbonate and nitrate met the standard safe limits while values for EC,TDS,hardness,cations and anions exceeded the limits in numerous samples.SPSS and ArcGIS softwares were used for statistical analysis and spatial distribution of parameters.Hydrochemical facies were developed and suitability assessment of water resources was examined for agricultural use.The ground water type was classified as Na-HCO3 type with high salinity and it required treatment prior to irrigation.The proposed research exhibited the probable drinking water contamination sources and it demanded instant actions to further protect the valuable drinking water resources in District Jacobabad.Asfandyar Shahab Shihua Qi Muhammad Zaheer Audil Rashid Muhammad Afnan Talib Umer Ashraf 2018International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,2:2
3Updates on therapies for chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome显示文摘Prostatitis comprises of a group of syndromes that affect almost 50% of men at least once in their lifetime and makeup the majority of visits to the Urology Clinics.After much debate, it has been divided into four distinct categories by National Institutes of Health namely(1) acute bacterial prostatitis;(2) chronic bacterial prostatitis;(3) chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome(CP/CPPS) which is further divided into inflammatory and non-inflammatory CP/CPPS; and(4)asymptomatic inflammatory prostatitis. CP/CPPS has been a cause of great concern for both patients and physicians because of the lack of presence of thoroughinformation about the etiological factors along with the difficult-to-treat nature of the syndrome. For the presented manuscript an extensive search on PubM ed was conducted for CP/CPPS aimed to present an updated review on the evaluation and treatment options available for patients with CP/CPPS. Several diagnostic criteria's have been established to diagnose CP/CPPS, with prostatic/pelvic pain for at least 3 mo being the major classifying symptom along with the presence of lower urinary tract symptoms and/or ejaculatory pain. Diagnostic tests can help differentiate CP/CPPS from other syndromes that come under the heading of prostatitis by ruling out active urinary tract infection and/or prostatic infection with uropathogen by performing urine cultures, Meares-Stamey Four Glass Test, Preand Post-Massage Two Glass Test. Asymptomatic inflammatory prostatitis is confirmed through prostate biopsy done for elevated serum prostate-specific antigen levels or abnormal digital rectal examination. Researchers have been unable to link a single etiological factor to the pathogenesis of CP/CPPS, instead a cluster of potential etiologies including atypical bacterial or nanobacterial infection, autoimmunity, neurological dysfunction and pelvic floor muscle dysfunction are most commonly implicated. Initially monotherapy with anti-biotics and alpha adrenergic-blockers can be tried, but its success has only been observed in treatment nave population. Other pharmacotherapies including phytotherapy, neuromodulatory drugs and anti-inflammatories achieved limited success in trials. Complementary and interventional therapies including acupuncture, myofascial trigger point release and pelvic floor biofeedback have been employed. This review points towards the fact that treatment should be tailored individually for patients based on their symptoms. Patients can be stratified phenotypically based on the UPOINT system constituting of Urinary, Psychosocial, Organ-specific, Infectious, Neurologic/Systemic and symptoms of muscular Tenderness and the treatment algorithm should be proposed accordingly. Treatment of CP/CPPS should be aimed towards treating local aswell as central factors causing the symptoms. 4Evaluation of the fishery status for King Soldier Bream Argyrops spinifer in Pakistan using the software CEDA and ASPIC显示文摘Catch and effort data were analyzed to estimate the maximum sustainable yield(MSY) of King Soldier Bream, Argyrops spinifer(Forssk?l, 1775, Family: Sparidae), and to evaluate the present status of the fish stocks exploited in Pakistani waters. The catch and effort data for the 25-years period 1985–2009 were analyzed using two computer software packages, CEDA(catch and effort data analysis) and ASPIC(a surplus production model incorporating covariates). The maximum catch of 3 458 t was observed in 1988 and the minimum catch of 1 324 t in 2005, while the average annual catch of A. spinifer over the 25 years was 2 500 t. The surplus production models of Fox, Schaefer, and Pella Tomlinson under three error assumptions of normal, log-normal and gamma are in the CEDA package and the two surplus models of Fox and logistic are in the ASPIC package. In CEDA, the MSY was estimated by applying the initial proportion(IP) of 0.8, because the starting catch was approximately 80% of the maximum catch. Except for gamma, because gamma showed maximization failures, the estimated results of MSY using CEDA with the Fox surplus production model and two error assumptions, were 1 692.08 t(R 2 =0.572) and 1 694.09 t( R 2 =0.606), respectively, and from the Schaefer and the Pella Tomlinson models with two error assumptions were 2 390.95 t( R 2 =0.563), and 2 380.06 t( R 2 =0.605), respectively. The MSY estimated by the Fox model was conservatively compared to the Schaefer and Pella Tomlinson models. The MSY values from Schaefer and Pella Tomlinson models were the same. The computed values of MSY using the ASPIC computer software program with the two surplus production models of Fox and logistic were 1 498 t(R 2 =0.917), and 2 488 t( R 2 =0.897) respectively. The estimated values of MSY using CEDA were about 1 700–2 400 t and the values from ASPIC were 1 500–2 500 t. 10Performance Analysis of Intelligent Neural-Based Deep Learning System on Rank Images Classification显示文摘The use of the internet is increasing all over the world on a daily basis in the last two decades.The increase in the internet causes many sexual crimes,such as sexual misuse,domestic violence,and child pornography.Various research has been done for pornographic image detection and classification.Most of the used models used machine learning techniques and deep learning models which show less accuracy,while the deep learning model ware used for classification and detection performed better as compared to machine learning.Therefore,this research evaluates the performance analysis of intelligent neural-based deep learning models which are based on Convolution neural network(CNN),Visual geometry group(VGG-16),VGG-14,and Residual Network(ResNet-50)with the expanded dataset,trained using transfer learning approaches applied in the fully connected layer for datasets to classify rank(Pornographic vs.Nonpornographic)classification in images.The simulation result shows that VGG-16 performed better than the used model in this study without augmented data.The VGG-16 model with augmented data reached a training and validation accuracy of 0.97,0.94 with a loss of 0.070,0.16.The precision,recall,and f-measure values for explicit and non-explicit images are(0.94,0.94,0.94)and(0.94,0.94,0.94).Similarly,The VGG-14 model with augmented data reached a training and validation accuracy of 0.98,0.96 with a loss of 0.059,0.11.The f-measure,recall,and precision values for explicit and non-explicit images are(0.98,0.98,0.98)and(0.98,0.98,0.98).The CNN model with augmented data reached a training and validation accuracy of 0.776&0.78 with losses of 0.48&0.46.The f-measure,recall,and precision values for explicit and non-explicit images are(0.80,0.80,0.80)and(0.78,0.79,0.78).The ResNet-50 model with expanded data reached with training accuracy of 0.89 with a loss of 0.389 and 0.86 of validation accuracy and a loss of 0.47.The f-measure,recall,and precision values for explicit and non-explicit images are(0.86,0.97,0.91)and(0.86,0.93,0.89).Where else without augmented data the VGG-16 model reached a training and validation accuracy of 0.997,0.986 with a loss of 0.008,0.056.The f-measure,recall,and precision values for explicit and non-explicit images are(0.94,0.99,0.97)and(0.99,0.93,0.96)which outperforms the used models with the augmented dataset in this study.Muhammad Hameed Siddiqi Asfandyar Khan Muhammad Bilal Khan Abdullah Khan Madallah Alruwaili Saad Alanazi 2023Computer Systems Science & Engineering2023,47,11:0
11A Health Monitoring System Using IoT-Based Android Mobile Application显示文摘Numerous types of research on healthcare monitoring systems have been conducted for calculating heart rate,ECG,nasal/oral airflow,temperature,light sensor,and fall detection sensor.Different researchers have done different work in the field of health monitoring with sensor networks.Different researchers used built-in apps,such as some used a small number of parameters,while some other studies used more than one microcontroller and used senders and receivers among the microcontrollers to communicate,and outdated tools for study development.While no efficient,cheap,and updated work is proposed in the field of sensor-based health monitoring systems.Therefore,this study developed an android-based mobile system that can remotely monitor electrocardiograms(ECGs),pulse oximetry,heart rate,and body temperature.The microcontroller’s Wi-Fi device is used to manage wireless data transport.The findings of the patient are saved on the Firebase server for further usage in the mobile app.The performance of the proposed device is tested on ten numbers of different patients age-wise in terms of beats per minute(BPM),ECG,Temperature,and SpO2.This system uses temperature,pulse,ECG,blood pressure,and eye blink sensors.This device makes the usage of a tiny pulse sensor that has been designed to provide an accurate and optimal readout of the pulse rate and a temperature sensor is also included.With the help of an MCU,our system measures the pulse rate in beats per minute(bpm),blood oxygen level temperature measurements,and ECG readings and communicates this information to the Firebase server.To check the performance of the proposed system first,the BPM parameter was checked on the cardiac monitor.Then,the proposed model is tested on different patients age-wise.The simulation result shows that the BPM reading is not much different than the BPM of the cardiac monitor.According to the simulation findings,the proposed model achieved the best performance as compared to commercially available devices.Madallah Alruwaili Muhammad Hameed Siddiqi Kamran Farid Muhammad Azad Saad Alanazi Asfandyar Khan Abdullah Khan 2023Computer Systems Science & Engineering2023,47,11:0
12镍铁氧体@活性炭复合材料去除六价铬的表征、性能及机制显示文摘采用化学共沉淀法将镍铁氧体(NiFe_(2)O_(4))负载到活性炭,制备出一种磁性吸附剂镍铁氧体@活性炭(NiFe_(2)O_(4)@AC),并将其用于吸附废水中的Cr(Ⅵ).研究了吸附剂吸附Cr(Ⅵ)的影响因素、吸附动力学和吸附等温线.结果表明,在温度为25℃、pH为2、Cr(Ⅵ)初始浓度为150 mg·L^(-1)、活性炭投加量为0.1 g、吸附时间为720 min时,NiFe_(2)O_(4)@AC吸附Cr(Ⅵ)的去除率达到96.92%,吸附量达到72.62 mg·g^(-1).实验数据符合准二级动力学和Langmuir模型,表明其吸附过程是一个单层的化学吸附过程.热力学研究证实,温度升高有利于Cr(Ⅵ)在NiFe_(2)O_(4)@AC上的吸附,该吸附过程是自发和吸热反应.NiFe_(2)O_(4)@AC吸附机制主要是通过络合作用和静电吸引来吸附Cr(Ⅵ),同时,外加磁场可从溶液中分离,具有良好的应用前景.张华 李荣华 陈金雄 曾鸿鹄 黄海艺 Asfandyar Shahab 2023环境科学2023,44,5:0
13铬处理下超富集植物李氏禾根际溶解氧时空分布特征显示文摘基于平面光极原位高分辨技术,在3个铬含量水平(0、50、100mg/kg)下研究了铬超富集植物李氏禾根际溶解氧的时空分布特征。结果表明:李氏禾根际土壤中溶解氧浓度较高的热区集中于根系周围区域,在根尖位置溶解氧浓度较高;根际溶解氧含量显著高于非根际土壤,且距离根部越远溶解氧平均含量越低,其中100 mg/kg铬处理李氏禾根部中心位置土壤溶解氧浓度为距离中心位置5 mm处的1.45倍;在8 d的拍摄周期中,对照处理根部中心位置溶解氧浓度最高达77.2%,显著高于50 mg/kg铬处理的50.2%和100mg/kg铬处理的42.3%。此外,3个铬含量水平下李氏禾根际溶解氧浓度都呈现先升高后降低的规律,第4天达到最高值。铬处理下李氏禾根际溶解氧浓度明显下降,这可能是李氏禾为避免根际富氧环境将Cr(Ⅲ)氧化为毒性更强Cr(Ⅵ)的保护性行为。贺瑶 林华 俞果 张学洪 丁娜 Asfandyar Shahab 刘杰 2022土壤2022,54,5:0
14Baseline Isolated Printed Text Image Database for Pashto Script Recognition显示文摘The optical character recognition for the right to left and cursive languages such as Arabic is challenging and received little attention from researchers in the past compared to the other Latin languages.Moreover,the absence of a standard publicly available dataset for several low-resource lan-guages,including the Pashto language remained a hurdle in the advancement of language processing.Realizing that,a clean dataset is the fundamental and core requirement of character recognition,this research begins with dataset generation and aims at a system capable of complete language understanding.Keeping in view the complete and full autonomous recognition of the cursive Pashto script.The first achievement of this research is a clean and standard dataset for the isolated characters of the Pashto script.In this paper,a database of isolated Pashto characters for forty four alphabets using various font styles has been introduced.In order to overcome the font style shortage,the graphical software Inkscape has been used to generate sufficient image data samples for each character.The dataset has been pre-processed and reduced in dimensions to 32×32 pixels,and further converted into the binary format with a black background and white text so that it resembles the Modified National Institute of Standards and Technology(MNIST)database.The benchmark database is publicly available for further research on the standard GitHub and Kaggle database servers both in pixel and Comma Separated Values(CSV)formats.Arfa Siddiqu Abdul Basit Waheed Noor Muhammad Asfandyar Khan M.Saeed H.Kakar Azam Khan 2023Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing2023,,7:0
