1Association between TNF-a and IL-1β genotypes vs Helicobacter pylori infection in Indonesia显示文摘AIM:To investigate the correlation between the Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)infection and host genetic background of healthy populations in Indonesia.METHODS:In March 2007,epidemiological studies were undertaken on the general population of a city in Indonesia(Mataram,Lombok).The participants included 107 men and 187 women,whose ages ranged from6 to 74 years old,with an average age of 34.0(±14.4)(±SD).The H.pylori of subject by UBT method determination,and through the polymerase chain reaction with confronting two-pair primers(PCR-CTPP)method parsing the single nucleotide polymorphism of interleukin(IL)-8,IL-4,IL-1β,CD14,tumor necrosis factor(TNF-a)and tyrosine-protein phosphates non-receptor type 11(PTPN11)genotypes.The experimental data were analyzed by the statistical software SAS.RESULTS:The H.pylori infection rates in the healthy Indonesian population studied were 8.4%for men and12.8%for women;no obvious differences were noted for H.pylori infection rates by sex or age.TC genotypes of IL-4,TC and CC genotypes of TNF-a,and GA genotypes of PTPN11,were higher in frequency.Both CC and TC genotype of TNF-a T-1031C loci featured higher expressions in the healthy Indonesian population Indonesia studied of(OR=1.99;95%CI:0.67-5.89)and(OR=1.66;95%CI:0.73-3.76),respectively.C allele of IL-1βT-31C gene locus was at a higher risk(OR=1.11;95%CI:0.70-1.73)of H.pylori infection,but no statistical significance was found in our study.CONCLUSION:We reveal that the association between the TNF-a and IL-1βgenotypes may be the susceptibility of H.pylori in the studied population.Yang Zhao Jing-Wen Wang Tsutomu Tanaka Akihiro Hosono Ryosuke Ando Shinkan Tokudome Soeripto FX Ediati Triningsih Tegu Triono Suwignyo Sumoharjo EY Wenny Astuti Achwan Stephanus Gunawan Yu-Min Li 2013World Journal of Gastroenterology2013,19,46:5
2Hepatitis B virus subgenotypes and basal core promoter mutations in Indonesia显示文摘AIM:To identify the distribution of hepatitis B virus (HBV) subgenotype and basal core promoter (BCP) mutations among patients with HBV-associated liver disease in Indonesia.METHODS: Patients with chronic hepatitis (CH, n=61), liver cirrhosis (LC, n=62), and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC,n=48) were included in this study. HBV subgenotype was identified based on S or preS gene sequence, and mutations in the HBx gene including the overlapping BCP region were examined by direct sequencing.RESULTS: HBV genotype B (subgenotypes B2, B3, B4, B5 and B7) the major genotype in the samples, accounted for 75.4%, 71.0% and 75.0% of CH, LC and HCC patients, respectively, while the genotype C (subgenotypes C1, C2 and C3) was detected in 24.6%, 29.0%, and 25.0% of CH, LC, and HCC patients, respectively. Subgenotypes B3 (84.9%) and C1 (82.2%) were the main subgenotype in HBV genotype B and C, respectively. Serotype adw2 (84.9%) and adrq+ (89.4%) were the most prevalent in HBV genotype B and C, respectively. Double mutation (A1762T/G1764A) in the BCP was significantly higher in LC (59.7%) and HCC (54.2%) than in CH (19.7%), suggesting that this mutation was associated with severity of liver disease. The T1753V was also higher in LC (46.8%), but lower in HCC (22.9%) and CH (18.0%), suggesting that this mutation may be an indicator of cirrhosis.CONCLUSION: HBV genotype B/B3 and C/C1 are the major genotypes in Indonesia. 3粉末冶金和微波烧结法制备Al−CNTs−Al2O3纳米复合材料的工艺−显微组织−性能之间的关系显示文摘采用粉末冶金和微波烧结工艺制备Al−2CNTs−xAl2O3纳米复合材料。研究工艺引起的显微组织特征与材料的物理、力学性能以及超声参数之间的相互关系。研究发现,复合材料的致密化和尺寸变化等物理性能与纳米复合粉体的形貌和粒径密切相关。当Al2O3含量为10%(质量分数)、球磨时间大于8 h、颗粒被大量细化时,材料的密度最大。Al2O3含量、纳米强化相的分布和晶粒尺寸对材料的力学性能有显著影响,当Al2O3含量为10%(质量分数)、Al2O3纳米颗粒球磨时间为12 h、碳纳米管均匀分布时,可形成高密度位错和大量晶粒细化,从而获得最佳的硬度和强度。同时,纵波和横波速度及衰减随着Al2O3含量和球磨时间的增加而线性增加。超声速度和衰减的变化取决于碳纳米管和Al2O3在基体中分布的均匀程度及其较小的颗粒间距。经过较长的球磨时间,Al2O3含量越高,碳纳米管和Al2O3分布越均匀,超声波的速度和衰减越大。Meysam TOOZANDEHJANI Farhad OSTOVAN Khairur Rijal JAMALUDIN Astuty AMRIN Khamirul Amin MATORI Ehsan SHAFIEI 2020Transactions of Nonferrous Metals Society of China2020,30,9:4
4Association of core promoter mutations of hepatitis B virus and viral load is different in HBeAg(+) and HBeAg(-) patients显示文摘AIM:To identify the prevalence of hepatitis B e antigen (HBeAg) and to assess the association of hepatitis B virus (HBV) core promoter mutations and viral load in Indonesian patients.METHODS:Sixty-four patients with chronic hepatitis,65 with liver cirrhosis and 50 with hepatocellular carcinoma were included in this study.HBeAg and hepatitis B e antibody (HBeAb) tests were performed using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and the mutations were analyzed by sequencing.Viral load was measured by real-time polymerase chain reaction.RESULTS:Of 179 patients,108 (60.3%) were HBeAg(-) and 86 (79.6%) of these HBeAg(-) patients had been seroconverted.The A1896 mutation was not found in HBeAg(+) patients,however,this mutation was detected in 70.7% of HBeAg(-) patients.This mutation was frequently found when HBeAg was not expressed (87.7%),compared to that found in HBeAg seroconverted patients (65.1%).The A1899 mutation was also more prevalent in HBeAg(-) than in HBeAg(+) patients (P=0.004).The T1762/A1764 mutation was frequently found in both HBeAg(+) and HBeAg(-) patients,however,the prevalence of this mutation did not significantly differ among the two groups (P=0.054).In HBeAg(+) patients,the T1762/A1764 mutation was correlated with lower HBV DNA (P < 0.001).The A1899 mutation did not correlate with HBV DNA (P=0.609).In HBeAg(-) patients,the T1762/A1764 mutation alone was not correlated with HBV DNA (P=0.095),however,the presence of either the T1762/A1764 or A1896 mutations was associated with increased HBV DNA (P < 0.001).CONCLUSION:The percentage of HBeAg(-) patients is high in Indonesia,and most of the HBeAg(-) patients had been seroconverted.The A1896 mutation was most likely the major cause of HBeAg loss.The T1762/A1764 mutation alone was associated with lower viral loads in HBeAg(+) patients,but not in HBeAg(-) patients.Andi Utama Marlinang Diarta Siburian Sigit Purwantomo Mariana Destila Bayu Intan Tri Shinta Kurniasih Susan Tai Rino Alvani Gani Laurentius Adrianus Lesmana All Sulaiman Wenny Astuti Achwan Soewignjo Soemohardjo Arnelis Nasrul Zubir Julius Syafruddin AR Lelosutan Benyamin Lukito Tantoro Harmono 2011World Journal of Gastroenterology2011,17,6:3
5The potential of miRNA-based therapeutics in severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2) infection: A review显示文摘Since the World Health Organization(WHO) declared COVID-19, the disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2), as a pandemic in March 2020, and more than 117 million people worldwide have been confirmed to have been infected. Scientists, medical professionals,and other stakeholders are racing against time to find and develop effective medicines for COVID-19.However, no drug with high efficacy to treat SARS-CoV-2 infection has been approved. With the increasing popularity of gene therapy, scientists have explored the utilization of small RNAs such as microRNAs(miRNAs) as therapeutics. miRNAs are non-coding RNAs with high affinity for the 30-UTRs of targeted messenger RNAs(mRNAs). Interactions between host cells and viral genomes may induce the upregulation or downregulation of various miRNAs. Therefore, understanding the expression patterns of these miRNAs and their functions will provide insights into potential miRNA-based therapies. 6Hepatitis B virus pre-S2 start codon mutations in Indonesian liver disease patients显示文摘AIM: To identify the prevalence of pre-S2 start codon mutations and to assess their association with liver disease progression. METHODS: The mutations were identified by direct sequencing from 73 asymptomatic carriers, 66 chronic hepatitis (CH), 66 liver cirrhosis (LC) and 63 hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients. Statistical significances were determined using Fisher's exact test, χ 2 test, and t -test analyses whenever appropriate. Pre-S mutation as a risk factor for advanced liver disease was estimated by unconditional logistic regression model adjusted with age, sex, and hepatitis B e antigen (HBeAg). P < 0.05 was considered significant. RESULTS: Mutation of the hepatitis B virus (HBV) pre-S2 start codon was found in 59 samples from 268 subjects (22.0%), with higher prevalence in patients with cirrhosis 27/66 (40.9%) followed by HCC 18/63 (28.6%), chronic hepatitis 12/66 (18.2%) and asymptomatic carriers 2/73 (2.7%) (P < 0.001). Logistic regression analysis showed that pre-S2 start codon mutation was an independent factor for progressive liver disease. Other mutations, at T130, Q132, and A138, were also associated with LC and HCC, although this was not statistically significant when adjusted for age, sex, and HBeAg. The prevalence of pre-S2 start codon mutation was higher in HBV/B than in HBV/C (23.0% vs 19.1%), whilst the prevalence of T130, Q132, and A138 mutation was higher in HBV/C than in HBV/B. The prevalence of pre-S2 start codon mutation was higher in LC (38.9%) and HCC (40.0%) than CH (5.6%) in HBeAg(+) group, but it was similar between CH, LC and HCC in HBeAg(-) group. 7Removal of lead(Pb(Ⅱ))and zinc(Zn(Ⅱ))from aqueous solution using coal fly ash(CFA)as a dual-sites adsorbent显示文摘Coal fly ash(CFA)is composed of minerals containing some oxides in crystalline phase(i.e.,quartz and mullite),as well as unburned carbon as mesoporous material,thus enabling CFA to act as a dual-sites adsorbent with unique properties.This work focused on the adsorption of Pb(Ⅱ)and Zn(Ⅱ)from binary system,a mixture containing two metal ion solutions present simultaneously,onto NaOH-modified CFA(MCFA).Several adsorption tests were conducted to evaluate the effect of several parameters,including pH and contact times.The experiment results indicated that chemical treatment of CFA with NaOH increased pore volume from 0.021 to 0.223 cm^3·g^(-1).In addition,it could also enhance the availability of functional groups on both minerals and unburned carbon,resulting in almost 100%Pb(Ⅱ)and 97%Zn(Ⅱ)adsorbed.The optimum pH for adsorption system was pH=3 and quasi-equilibrium occurred in 240 minutes.Equilibrium data from the experimental results were analyzed using Modified Extended Langmuir(MEL)and Competitive Adsorption Langmuir-Langmuir(CALL)isotherm models.The analysis results showed that the CALL isotherm model could better describe the Pb(Ⅱ)and Zn(Ⅱ)adsorption process onto MCFA in binary system compared with MEL isotherm model.Widi Astuti Achmad Chafidz Ahmed S.Al-Fatesh Anis H.Fakeeha 2021Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,6:2
