1Advanced continuous phase modulation for high mobility communications显示文摘This paper focuses on the design of continuous phase-modulated systems and simplified receiver for highmobility wireless communications.A class of spectrally efficient coded modulation systems is proposed and analyzed in terms of Euclidean distance and spectral efficiency.Moreover,the simplified detector based on mismatched receiver is designed to reduce the detection complexity exponentially for partial response systems.To deal with the fast time-varying channels without channel state information,a class of noncoherent detection algorithms for continuous phase modulation systems is developed to offer near-coherent performance.The proposed system is assessed over both the additive white Gaussian noise and fast-fading channels.Numerical and simulated results show that the proposed system offers not only high spectral efficiency but also near-optimum performance over fast time-varying scenarios.Bing Li Baoming Bai Tor Aulin Qi Li 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,35:5
2Simple rateless error-correcting codes for fading channels显示文摘This paper introduces a new class of rateless forward error correction(FEC) codes,which are called semi-random Kite(SR-Kite) codes.By introducing fixed patterns to an original purely random sparse parity-check matrix,the proposed code can lower down the error floors.We present a simulation-based greedy optimization algorithm to design the degree distribution of SR-Kite codes for independent Rayleigh fading channels.The performances of SR-Kite codes under maximum likelihood decoding are analyzed for both AWGN and independent Rayleigh fading channels via union bound.Both the analysis and simulation results show that the proposed codes perform well over AWGN and fading channels within a wide range of signal-to-noise-ratios.Moreover,we combine SR-Kite codes with high-order modulation schemes to obtain a continuously variable spectral efficiency in a large range of SNRs.BAI Bo BAI BaoMing MA Xiao 2012Science China(Information Sciences)2012,55,10:3

4Algebraic-Based Nonbinary LDPC Codes with Flexible Field Orders and Code Rates显示文摘In this paper, we study the rank of matrices over GF(2~p),and propose two construction methods for algebraic-based nonbinary LDPC codes from an existing LDPC code, referred to as the original code. By multiplying all elements of each column of the binary parity-check matrix H corresponding to the original code with the same nonzero element of any field, the first class of nonbinary LDPC codes with flexible field order is proposed. The second method is to replace the nonzero elements of some columns in H with different nonzero field elements in a given field, and then another class of nonbinary LDPC codes with various rates is obtained. 5Kite code-based incremental redundancy hybrid ARQ scheme for fast-fading channels显示文摘Incremental redundancy hybrid automatic repeat request(IR HARQ) has been extensively studied for reliable data transmission over slow-fading or quasi-static channels.With the increase in movement speed of users and the use of long code words for data transmission,IR HARQ strategy in fast-fading channels is starting to attract attention in the academia.This paper studies the performance of the IR HARQ strategy based on Kite codes(a class of rateless codes) in the finite regime over fast-fading channels where a number of channel realizations are experienced in each retransmission round.We propose an algorithm that exploits current decoding reliability to determine the size of subsequent retransmissions.Longterm throughput and delay constraint throughput are analyzed and compared.Furthermore,in HARQ systems available,most of the computation power is consumed on failed decoding if a code word is retransmitted many times,which is not energy-efficient.Therefore,to improve theenergy efficiency,we propose two efficient algorithms(early stopping algorithm and freezing node algorithm) for incremental decoding,which reduce the computational complexity of the most time-consuming steps in decoding procedure.Simulation results show that the substantial complexity reduction is achieved in terms of the total required number of decoding iterations and the required node operation complexity compared to conventional incremental decoding scheme.Min Zhu Baoming Bai Jinfang Dou Xiao Ma 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,35:2

7Design of efciently encodable nonbinary LDPC codes for adaptive coded modulation显示文摘This paper is concerned with constructions of nonbinary low-density parity-check(LDPC)codes for adaptive coded modulations(ACM).A new class of efciently encodable structured nonbinary LDPC codes are proposed.The defining parity-check matrices are composed of scalar circulant sub-matrices which greatly reduce the storage requirement when compared with random LDPC codes.With this special structure of paritycheck matrix,an efcient encoding algorithm is presented.Based on the proposed codes,a family of variablerate/variable-field nonbinary LDPC codes is designed for the ACM system.When combined with matched-size signal constellations,the family of constructed codes can achieve a wide range of spectral efciency.Furthermore,the resultant ACM system can be implemented via a set of encoder and decoder.Simulation results show that the proposed nonbinary LDPC codes for the ACM system perform well.WANG XiuNi MA Xiao BAI BaoMing 2014Science China(Information Sciences)2014,57,2:2

9Price-based interference avoidance game in the Gaussian interference channel显示文摘This paper considers a distributed interference avoidance problem employing frequency assignment in the Gaussian interference channel(IC).We divide the common channel into several sub-channels and each user chooses one sub-channel for transmission in such a way that the total interference in the IC is minimum.This mechanism named interference avoidance in this paper can be modeled as a competitive game model.And a completely autonomous distributed iterative algorithm called distributed interference avoidance algorithm(DIA)is adopted to achieve the Nash equilibrium(NE)of the game.Due to the self-optimum,the DIA is a sub-optimal algorithm.Therefore,through introducing an optimal compensation(or price)into the competitive game model,we successfully develop a compensation-based game model to approximate the optimal interference avoidance problem.Moreover,an optimal algorithm called iterative optimal interference avoidance algorithm(IOIA)is proposed to reach the optimality of the interference avoidance scheme.We analyze the implementation complexity of the proposed algorithm which is only O(N),with N standing for the number of users in the IC.We also give the proof on the convergence of the proposed algorithm.The performance upper bound and lower bound are derived for the IOIA algorithm.The simulation results show that the IOIA does reach the optimality under the condition of interference avoidance mechanism.JING ZhenHai BAI BaoMing MA Xiao 2012Science China(Information Sciences)2012,55,2:1

11Glucose supplementation improves intestinal amino acid transport and muscle amino acid pool in pigs during chronic cold exposure显示文摘Mammals in northern regions chronically suffer from low temperatures during autumn-winter seasons.The aim of this study was to investigate the response of intestinal amino acid transport and the amino acid pool in muscle to chronic cold exposure via Min pig models(cold adaptation)and Yorkshire pig models(non-cold adaptation).Furthermore,this study explored the beneficial effects of glucose supplementation on small intestinal amino acid transport and amino acid pool in muscle of cold-exposed Yorkshire pigs.Min pigs(Exp.1)and Yorkshire pigs(Exp.2)were divided into a control group(17℃,n=6)and chronic cold exposure group(7℃,n=6),respectively.Twelve Yorkshire pigs(Exp.3)were divided into a cold control group and cold glucose supplementation group(8℃).The results showed that chronic cold exposure inhibited peptide transporter protein 1(PepT1)and excitatory amino acid transporter 3(EAAT3)expression in ileal mucosa and cationic amino acid transporter-1(CAT-1)in the jejunal mucosa of Yorkshire pigs(P<0.05).In contrast,CAT-1,PepT1 and EAAT3 expression was enhanced in the duodenal mucosa of Min pigs(P<0.05).Branched amino acids(BCAA)in the muscle of Yorkshire pigs were consumed by chronic cold exposure,accompanied by increased muscle RING-finger protein-1(MuRF1)and muscle atrophy F-box(atrogin-1)expression(P<0.05).More importantly,reduced concentrations of dystrophin were detected in the muscle of Yorkshire pigs(P<0.05).However,glycine concentration in the muscle of Min pigs was raised(P<0.05).In the absence of interaction between chronic cold exposure and glucose supplementation,glucose supplementation improved CAT-1 expression in the jejunal mucosa and PepT1 expression in the ileal mucosa of cold-exposed Yorkshire pigs(P<0.05).It also improved BCAA and inhibited MuRF1 and atrogin-1 expression in muscle(P<0.05).Moreover,dystrophin concentration was improved by glucose supplementation(P<0.05).In summary,chronic cold exposure inhibits amino acid absorption in the small intestine,depletes BCAA and promotes protein degradation in muscle.Glucose supplementation ameliorates the negative effects of chronic cold exposure on amino acid transport and the amino acid pool in muscle.Teng Teng Xin Song Guodong Sun Hongwei Ding Haoyang Sun Guangdong Bai Baoming Shi 2023Animal Nutrition2023,,1:1

17Construction of Short-Block Nonbinary LDPC Codes Based on Cyclic Codes显示文摘In this paper, we focus on shortblock nonbinary LDPC(NB-LDPC) codes based on cyclic codes. Based on Tanner graphs' isomorphism, we present an efficient search algorithm for finding non-isomorphic binary cyclic LDPC codes. Notice that the parity-check matrix H of the resulting code is square and not of full rank, and its row weight and column weight are the same. By replacing the ones in the same column of H with a nonzero element of fi nite fi elds GF(q), a class of NB-LDPC codes over GF(q) is obtained. Numerical results show that the constructed codes perform well over the AWGN channel and have fast decoding convergence. 18Low PAPR Channel Estimation for OTFS with Scattered Superimposed Pilots显示文摘Orthogonal time frequency space(OTFS)modulation has been proven to be superior to traditional orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM)systems in high-speed communication scenarios.However,the existing channel estimation schemes may results in poor peak to average power ratio(PAPR)performance of OTFS system or low spectrum efficiency.Hence,in this paper,we propose a low PAPR channel estimation scheme with high spectrum efficiency.Specifically,we design a multiple scattered pilot pattern,where multiple low power pilot symbols are superimposed with data symbols in delay-Doppler domain.Furthermore,we propose the placement rules for pilot symbols,which can guarantee the low PAPR.Moreover,the data aided iterative channel estimation was invoked,where joint channel estimation is proposed by exploiting multiple independent received signals instead of only one received signal in the existing scheme,which can mitigate the interference imposed by data symbols for channel estimation.Simulation results shows that the proposed multiple scattered pilot aided channel estimation scheme can significantly reduce the PAPR while keeping the high spectrum efficiency.Wei Liu Liyi Zou Baoming Bai Teng Sun 2023China Communications2023,20,1:1
