| 1 | Cyclostratigraphy of the Induan (Early Triassic) in West Pingdingshan Section,Chaohu,Anhui Province显示文摘The Induan sequence in the West Pingdingshan Section, Chaohu, Anhui Province, displays a series of superimposed mudstone/limestone cycles. The lithological character of the cycles, combined with power spectral and wavelet analysis of magnetic susceptibility readings, reveals 12 short eccentricity and 56 precession Milankovitch cycles - obliquity cycles are not apparent. The uniformity of cycle thicknesses indicates a stable depositional setting making this section ideal to perform various geo-logical studies. Accordingly, the Induan Stage is estimated to have lasted 1.1 Ma, and the depositional rate for this part of the section is about 3.7 cm/ka. | 4 | Biocompatible reduced graphene oxide stimulated BMSCs induce acceleration of bone remodeling and orthodontic tooth movement through promotion on osteoclastogenesis and angiogenesis显示文摘We has synthesized the biocompatible gelatin reduced graphene oxide(GOG)in previous research,and in this study we would further evaluate its effects on bone remodeling in the aspects of osteoclastogenesis and angiogenesis so as to verify its impact on accelerating orthodontic tooth movement.The mouse orthodontic tooth movement(OTM)model tests in vivo showed that the tooth movement was accelerated in the GOG local injection group with more osteoclastic bone resorption and neovascularization compared with the PBS injection group.The analysis on the degradation of GOG in bone marrow stromal stem cells(BMSCs)illustrated its good biocompatibility in vitro and the accumulation of GOG in spleen after local injection of GOG around the teeth in OTM model in vivo also didn’t influence the survival and life of animals.The co-culture of BMSCs with hematopoietic stem cells(HSCs)or human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs)in transwell chamber systems were constructed to test the effects of GOG stimulated BMSCs on osteoclastogenesis and angiogenesis in vitro.With the GOG stimulated BMSCs co-culture in upper chamber of transwell,the HSCs in lower chamber manifested the enhanced osteoclastogenesis.Meanwhile,the co-culture of GOG stimulated BMSCs with HUVECs showed a promotive effect on the angiogenic ability of HUVECs.The mechanism analysis on the biofunctions of the GOG stimulated BMSCs illustrated the important regulatory effects of PERK pathway on osteoclastogenesis and angiogenesis.All the results showed the biosecurity of GOG and the biological functions of GOG stimulated BMSCs in accelerating bone remodeling and tooth movement. | Delong Jiao Jing Wang Wenting Yu Ke Zhang Ning Zhang Lingyan Cao Xinquan Jiang Yuxing Bai | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,9: | 1 |
| 5 | Characterization and Mechanism Elucidation of Dye Adsorption Using Cuprous Selenide Nanoparticles from Aqueous Solutions显示文摘The removal of cationic dyes, methylene blue(MB) and rhodamine B(RB), and anionic dyes, methylorange(MO) and eosin Y(EY), from aqueous solutions by adsorption using Cu2Se nanoparticles(Cu2SeNPs) was stu-died. The effects of the initial pH values, adsorbent doses, contact time, initial dye concentrations, salt concentrations,and operation temperatures on the adsorption capacities were investigated. The adsorption process was better fittedthe Langmuir equation and pseudo-second-order kinetic model, and was spontaneous and endothermic as well. Theadsorption mechanism was probably based on the electrostatic interactions and π-π interactions between Cu2SeNPsand dyes. For an adsorbent of 0.4 g/L of Cu2SeNPs, the adsorption capacities of 23. I(MB), 22.9(RB) and 23.9(EY)mg/g were achieved, respectively, with an initial dye concentration of 10 mg/g(pH=8 for MB and pH=4 for RiB andEY) and a contact time of 120 min. The removal rate of MB was still 70.4% for Cu2SeNPs being reused in the 5thcycle. Furthermore, the recycled Cu2SeNPs produced from selenium nanoparticles adsorbing copper were also an ef-fective adsorbent for the removal of dyes. | 8 | Aristolochic acids exposure was not the main cause of liver tumorigenesis in adulthood显示文摘Aristolochic acids(AAs) have long been considered as a potent carcinogen due to its nephrotoxicity. Aristolochic acid I(AAI) reacts with DNA to form covalent aristolactam(AL)-DNA adducts,leading to subsequent A to T transversion mutation, commonly referred as AA mutational signature. Previous research inferred that AAs were widely implicated in liver cancer throughout Asia. In this study, we explored whether AAs exposure was the main cause of liver cancer in the context of HBV infection in China's Mainland. Totally 1256 liver cancer samples were randomly retrieved from 3 medical centers and a refined bioanalytical method was used to detect AAI-DNA adducts. 5.10% of these samples could be identified as AAI positive exposure. Whole genome sequencing suggested 8.41% of 107 liver cancer patients exhibited the dominant AA mutational signature, indicating a relatively low overall AAI exposure rate. In animal models, long-term administration of AAI barely increased liver tumorigenesis in adult mice, opposite from its tumor-inducing role when subjected to infant mice. Furthermore, AAI induced dose-dependent accumulation of AA-DNA adduct in target organs in adult mice, with the most detected in kidney instead of liver. According to the formula for calculating activity from the binary phase diagram, the equilibrium constant can be calculated through the mass action principle after the activities of two pure components were computed respectively. Based on that, the activity of a stable compound can be easily obtained at last. The activity of the stable compound InSb is calcu- lated in the In-Sb binary system by using this method.
