1Spatial distribution and pollution assessment of mercury in sediments of Lake Taihu,China显示文摘Spatial distribution patterns of total mercury (THg) in 36 surficial sediment samples representing five regions of Lake Taihu were assessed using the ArcGis geostatistical analyst module. The pollution levels of THg were also evaluated from the same five lake regions. Concentrations of THg were in a ranged of 23-168 ng/g (mean 55 ng/g) in surfical sediments, which was significantly higher than those established baseline levels of the lake. Results of THg indicated that the northern region exhibited notably higher values, the bay regions showed elevated values relative to open areas, and the lakeside regions were higher than those observed in the central area. Lake Taihu suffered moderate to high Hg pollution, and expressed clear Hg enrichment status according to monomial pollution index I geo and human activity factors. The concentrations of THg in the surficial sediments of Lake Taihu showed moderate-strong variation (coefficient of variation 52%). 2Ammonia pollution characteristics of centralized drinking water sources in China显示文摘The characteristics of ammonia in drinking water sources in China were evaluated during 2005-2009.The spatial distribution and seasonal changes of ammonia in different types of drinking water sources of 22 provinces,5 autonomous regions and 4 municipalities were investigated.The levels of ammonia in drinking water sources follow the order of river > lake/reservoir > groundwater.The levels of ammonia concentration in river sources gradually decreased from 2005 to 2008,while no obvious change was observed in the lakes/reservoirs and groundwater drinking water sources.The proportion of the type of drinking water sources is different in different regions.In river drinking water sources,the ammonia level was varied in different regions and changed seasonally.The highest value and wide range of annual ammonia was found in South East region,while the lowest value was found in Southwest region.In lake/reservoir drinking water sources,the ammonia levels were not varied obviously in different regions.In underground drinking water sources,the ammonia levels were varied obviously in different regions due to the geological permeability and the natural features of regions.In the drinking water sources with higher ammonia levels,there are enterprises and wastewater drainages in the protected areas of the drinking water sources.Qing Fu Binghui Zheng Xingru Zhao Lijing Wang Changming Liu 2012Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,10:15
3Distribution characteristics of poly-and perfluoroalkyl substances in the Yangtze River Delta显示文摘In this work, a method was developed and optimized for the analysis of polyfluoroalkyl and/or perfluoroalkyl substances(PFASs) content in surface water and sediment samples with high instrumental response and good separation. Surface water and sediment samples were collected from the Yangtze River Delta(YRD) to analyze the distribution characteristics of perfluoroalkyl carboxylic acids(PFCAs), perfluoroalkane sulfonic acids(PFSAs), perfluoroalkyl phosphonic acids(PFPAs), perfluoroalkyl phosphinic acids(PFPiAs), and polyfluoroalkyl phosphoric acid diesters(di PAPs). The results showed that the total concentrations of PFCAs and PFSAs in YRD varied from 31 to 902 ng/L. PFCAs(≥ 11 carbons) and PFSAs(≥ 10 carbons atoms) were not detected in any surface water samples. The mean concentrations of all PFCAs and PFSAs in surface water from the sampling areas decreased in the following order:Yangtze river(191 ng/L) ≈ Taihu lake(189 ng/L) > Huangpu river(122 ng/L) ≈ Qiantang river(120 ng/L) > Jiaxing urban river(100 ng/L). Strong significant(p < 0.05) correlations between the concentrations of many of the compounds were found in the sampling areas, suggesting a common source for these compounds. Only perfluorooctanoic acid(PFOA) was observed in all sediment samples, at concentrations varying from 0.02 to 1.35 ng/g. 4Laboratory creep tests for time-dependent properties of a marble in Jinping Ⅱ hydropower station显示文摘In order to investigate the time-dependent behaviors of deep hard rocks in the diversion tunnel of Jinping II hydropower station,uniaxial creep tests were carried out by using the triaxial testing machine RC-2000.The axial compressive load was applied step by step and each creep stage was kept for over several days.Test results show that:(1) The lateral deformation of rock specimens is 2-3 times the axial compressive deformation and accelerates drastically before damage,which may be employed as an indicator to predict the excavation-induced instability of rocks.(2) The resultant deformation changes from compression to expansion when the Poisson's ratio is larger than 0.5,indicating the starting point of damage.(3) In the step-loading stages,the Poisson's ratio approximately remains constant;under constantly imposed load,the Poisson's ratio changes with elapsed time,growing continuously before the specimen is damaged.(4) When the applied load reaches a certain threshold value,the rock deteriorates with time,and the strength of rocks approximately has a negative exponent relation with time.(5) The failure modes of the deep marble are different in long-and short-term loading conditions.Under the condition of short-term loading,the specimen presents a mode of tensile failure;while under the condition of long-term loading,the specimen presents a mode of shear failure,followed by tensile failure.Xiaojun Zhao Bingrui Chen Hongbo Zhao Binghui Jie Zhengfang Ning 2012Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2012,4,2:3
5Facile synthesis of size-tunable ZIF-8 nanocrystals using reverse micelles as nanoreactors显示文摘This paper describes a robust method for the synthesis of high-quality ZIF-8 nanocrystals using reverse micelles as discrete nanoscale reactors.The precise size control of ZIF-8 nanocrystals is conveniently achieved by tuning the concentration of precursors,reaction temperatures,the amount of water,and the structure of surfactants.The as-synthesized ZIF-8 nanocrystals are of narrow distribution and tunable size.A size-dependent catalytic activity for Knoevenagel condensation reaction is further demonstrated by using ZIF-8 nanocrystals with different sizes as the catalysts.This facile method opens up a new opportunity in the synthesis of various ZIFs nanocrystals.ZHAO XiaoJing FANG XiaoLiang WU BingHui ZHENG LanSun ZHENG NanFeng 2014Science China Chemistry2014,57,1:3

9One-step Synthesis of Shape-controllable Gold Nanoparticles and Their Application in Surface-enhanced Raman Scattering显示文摘Gold nanoparticles(NPs) of various shapes were synthesized by a one-step method at ambient temperature in the presence of NaCI.2-mercaptosuccinic acid(MSA) was used as both reducing agent and stabilizing agent.The shapes of gold NPs were controllable by simply tuning S/Au ratio(S is from MSA molecule,and S/Au ratio is controlled by tuning the volume of added MSA solution),and triangle,polygonal and spherical nanoparticles were obtained.This result suggested a new way to consider the effects of MSA on the growth of nanoparticles,which showed that MSA is a strong capping agent and facilitates more uniform growth of nanoparticles in every dimension.And other important factors on nanoparticles growth including NaCI and temperature were discussed.Furthermore,a typical probe molecule,4-aminothiophenol(4-ATP) was used to test the surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS) activity of these gold NPs and the results indicated good Raman activity on these substrates.And the enhancement factor(EF) at 1078 cm^(-1)(a_1) was estimated to be as large as 6.3×10~4 and 5.5×10~4 for triangular plates and truncated particles,respectively.Lanlan Sun Dongxu Zhao Meng Ding Haifeng Zhao Zhenzhong Zhang Binghui Li Dezhen Shen 2013Journal of Materials Science & Technology2013,29,7:1

12Fabrication and photoluminescence of Er-doped ZnO thin films on SiO_2/Si substrate by pulsed laser deposition显示文摘Er doped ZnO thin films were grown on Si substrates using SiO2 buffer layer by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) method. The obtained films crystallize well and show high c-axis orientation. The Er content was evidently detected by the energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS). Upon annealing in O2 ambience at different temperatures, the films show different photoluminescence properties at 1.54 μm. The samples annealed at 700 and 850 ℃ show intense photoluminescence peaks which enhance with the annealing temperature, while no obvious luminescence peaks are observed for the as-grown samples or annealed at 500 ℃. 16Differential diagnosis of cervical nerve compression syndrome of the external intervertebral foramen显示文摘The aim of the present research is to study the mechanism of cervical nerve compression syndrome of the external intervertebral foramen and its differential diagnosis with cervical spondylosis.Diagnostic treatment with muscle relaxant,vasodilator,neurotrophic medicine and celecoxib(COX)-2 inhibitor were performed in 20 patients with cervical nerve compression syndrome of the external intervertebral foramen and 20 patients with cervical spondylosis confirmed by operation.Diagnostic local block therapy was performed additionally in cases showing little effect after diagnostic treatment.All the patients were followed up postoperatively for more than one year.Fifteen cases with cervical nerve compression syndrome of the external intervertebral foramen were healed by the diagnostic treatment.The other five cases had a short-term remission and there was no recurrence after diagnostic local block therapy.Diagnostic treatment led to short-term alleviation of the symptom in 20 cases with cervical spondylosis confirmed by operation,the results of which was far from satisfactory and operation was undertaken finally in all the 20 cases.The etiology of cervical nerve compression syndrome of the external intervertebral foramen lies in the compression of the cervical plexus,brachial plexus and cervical dorsal rami by the tendinous decussating fibers of the scalenus anticus,medius,minimus and the posterior muscles of the neck.Diagnostic treatment was propitious to differentiate cervical nerve compression syndrome of the external intervertebral foramen from cervical spondylosis.WANG Jinwu NI Weifeng LI Qi XU Jianguang ZHU Haibo ZHAO Binghui GUO Shangchun ZENG Bingfang 2007Frontiers of Medicine2007,1,2:1
