1Performance enhancement of paper-based SERS chips by shell-isolated nanoparticle-enhanced Raman spectroscopy显示文摘Paper-based flexible surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS) chips have been demonstrated to have great potential for future practical applications in point-of-care testing(POCT) due to the potentials of massive fabrication, low cost, efficient sample collection and short signal acquisition time. In this work,common filter paper and Ag@Si O2 core-shell nanoparticles(NP) have been utilized to fabricate SERS chips based on shell-isolated nanoparticle-enhanced Raman spectroscopy(SHINERS). The SERS performance of the chips for POCT applications was systematically investigated. We used crystal violet as the model molecule to study the influence of the size of the Ag core and the thickness of the Si O2 coating layer on the SERS activity and then the morphology optimized Ag@Si O2 core-shell NPs was employed to detect thiram. By utilizing the smartphone as a miniaturized Raman spectral analyzer, high SERS sensitivity of thiram with a detection limit of 10^-9 M was obtained. The study on the stability of the SERS chips shows that a Si O2 shell of 3 nm can effectively protect the as-prepared SERS chips against oxidation in ambient atmosphere without seriously weakening the SERS sensitivity. 2Membrane Fouling Alleviation by Chemically Enhanced Backwashing in Treating Algae-Containing Surface Water: From Bench-Scale to Full-Scale Application显示文摘Ultrafiltration(UF)has been increasingly implemented in drinking water treatment plants;however,algae and their secretions can cause severe membrane fouling and pose great challenges to UF in practice.In this study,a simple and practical chemically enhanced backwashing(CEB)process was developed to address such issues using various cleaning reagents,including sodium hypochlorite(NaClO),sodium chloride(NaCl),sodium hydroxide(NaOH),sodium citrate,and their combinations.The results indicate that the type of chemical played a fundamental role in alleviating the hydraulically irreversible membrane fouling(HIMF),with NaClO as the best-performing reagent,followed by NaCl.Furthermore,a CEB process using a combination of NaClO with NaCl,NaOH,or sodium citrate delivered little improvement in the alleviation of membrane fouling compared with NaClO alone.The optimized dosage and dosing frequency of NaClO were 10 mg·L^(-1) two times per day.Long-term pilot-scale and full-scale experiments further verified the feasibility of the CEB process in relieving algae-derived membrane fouling.Compared with the conventional hydraulic backwashing without chemical involvement,the CEB process can effectively remove the organic foulants including biopolymers,humic substances,and proteinlike substances by means of oxidization,thereby weakening the cohesive forces between the organic foulants and the membrane surface.Therefore,the CEB process can efficiently alleviate the algae-related membrane fouling with lower chemical consumption,and is proposed as an alternative to control membrane fouling in treating the algae-containing surface water.Xiaobin Tang Tiecheng Guo Haiqing Chang Xiao Yue Jinlong Wang Haikuan Yu Binghan Xie Xuewu Zhu Guibai Li Heng Liang 2022Engineering2022,,12:0
3Temperature-insensitive reading of a flash memory cell显示文摘The temperature characteristics of the read current of the NOR embedded flash memory with a 1.5T-per-cell structure are theoretically analyzed and experimentally verified.We verify that for a cell programmed with a“10”state,the read current is either increasing,decreasing,or invariable with the temperature,essentially depending on the reading overdrive voltage of the selected bitcell,or its programming strength.By precisely controlling the programming strength and thus manipulating its temperature coefficient,we propose a new setting method for the reference cells that programs each of reference cells to a charge state with a temperature coefficient closely tracking tail data cells,thereby solving the current coefficient mismatch and improving the read window.Weiyan Zhang Tao Yu Zhifeng Zhu Binghan Li 2023Journal of Semiconductors2023,44,4:0
4Iron species activating chlorite:Neglected selective oxidation for water treatment显示文摘Chlorite(ClO_(2)-)is the by-product of the water treatment process carried out using chlorine dioxide(ClO_(2))as an effective disinfectant and oxidant;however,the reactivation of ClO_(2)has commonly been overlooked.Herein,it was unprecedentedly found that ClO_(2)could be activated by iron species(Feb:Fe0,FeII,or FeIII),which contributed to the synchronous removal of ClO_(2)and selective oxidative treatment of organic contaminants.However,the above-mentioned activation process presented intensive Ht-dependent reactivity.The introduction of Feb significantly shortened the autocatalysis process via the accumulation of Clor ClOduring the protonation of ClO_(2)driven by ultrasonic field.Furthermore,it was found that the interdependent high-valent-Fe-oxo and ClO_(2),after identification,were the dominant active species for accelerating the oxidation process.Accordingly,the unified mechanisms based on coordination catalysis([FeN(H_(2)O)a(ClOxm)b]nt-P)were putative,and this process was thus used to account for the pollutant removal by the Feb-activated protonated ClO_(2).This study pioneers the activation of ClO_(2)for water treatment and provides a novel strategy for“waste treating waste”.Derivatively,this activation process further provides the preparation methods for sulfones and ClO_(2),including the oriented oxidation of sulfoxides to sulfones and the production of ClO_(2) for on-site use.Qihui Xu Zhipeng Li Feng Liu Hong You Binghan Xie 2023Environmental Science and Ecotechnology2023,,2:0

7A novel environmental control system based on membrane dehumidification显示文摘This paper conducts a simulation study of a novel aircraft environmental control system based on membrane dehumidification(MD-ECS),and compares the system with the up-to-date four-wheel high pressure de-water system(4WHPDW-ECS).Mathematical models for the two systems are established,and a system simulation using a numerical technique is performed to analyze and compare the cooling performance of the two systems.Simulation results show that the cooling capacity of MD-ECS is much higher than that of 4WHPDW-ECS under the same working conditions,indicating that the novel system is theoretically feasible and promising.The effects of the sweep ratio of the membrane dehumidifier on the dehumidification and cooling performance of the system is also investigated.Yuan Weixing Yang Bo Guo Binghan Li Xiangping Zuo Yansheng Hu Wenchao 2015Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2015,28,3:0
