1Optical and scintillation properties of Bi_4Si_3O_(12):RE(RE=Eu^(3+), Sm^(3+),Ho^(3+), Tb^(3+))single crystals显示文摘Bi_4 Si_3 O_(12):RE(BSO:RE, RE = Eu^(3+), Sm^(3+), Ho^(3+), Tb^(3+)) crystals were grown by the modified vertical Bridgeman method, and doping effects on scintillation properties were investigated. Under γ-ray irradiation, the light yield of BSO doped with small doses of Eu^(3+) increases slightly, and the energy resolution improves significantly compared to pure BSO, therefore the ability of distinguishing between particles will be improved for BSO crystals with a small amount of Eu^(3+) dopant. The results show that a small amount of Eu^(3+) doping can sensitize the Bi^(3+) ions. The sensitization effect enables the reduction of intrinsic defects, and thus improves the scintillation properties. However, the relative light yield of BSO:Tb(1.0 mol%) crystal is 4.3%, which is smaller than 5.0% of pure BSO. The improved light yield and energy resolution in the BSO:Eu and BSO:Sm crystals are considered an impressive achievement in the optimization of this scintillator which is already suitable for applications such as dual-readout calorimeters and homogeneous hadron calorimeters.Xuefeng Xiao Jiayue Xu Haicheng Wei Yaoqing Chu Bobo Yang Xuefeng Zhang 2019Journal of Rare Earths2019,37,3:2
2Development of optical-thermal coupled model for phosphor-converted LEDs显示文摘In this review, first, we discussed the effect of phosphor features on optical properties by the software simulation in detail. A combination of these parameters: phosphor material, phosphor particle size and particle distribution, phosphor layer concentration, phosphor layer thickness, geometry, and location of the phosphor layer, will result in the final optical performance of the phosphor layer. Secondly, we introduced how to improve light extraction efficiency with various proposed methods. Thirdly, we summarized the thermal models to predict the phosphor temperature and the junction temperature. To stabilize the optical performance of phosphor-converted light emitting diodes (PC-LEDs), much effort has been made to reduce the junction temperature of the LED chips. The phosphor temperature, a critical reliability concern for PC-LEDs, should be attracted academic interest. Finally, we summed up optical-thermal coupled model for phosphors and summarized future optical- thermal issues exploring the light quality for LEDs. 3Optical and electrical properties of a spiral LED filament显示文摘This paper introduces a new type of spiral white light-emitting diodes(WLED) filament with high luminous efficiency and uniform optical performance. The optical and thermal properties of the flexible filament were investigated at different stretching heights, namely 0, 1, 2, and 3 cm. The results indicated that the filament showed the best optical characteristics at the stretching height of 2 cm, because of good heat dissipation. In addition, the radiation temperature of the filament was inversely proportional to the output luminous flux. The reliability of the filament at a stretching height of 2 cm was also evaluated after 1000 h of use. The result demonstrated that the luminous flux decay of the bulb was only 0.85%. 6Potential Antiviral Target for SARS-CoV-2:A Key Early Responsive Kinase during Viral Entry显示文摘Currently,there is no effective antiviral medication for coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)and the knowledge on the potential therapeutic target is in great need.Guided by a time-course transmission electron microscope(TEM)imaging,we analyzed early phosphorylation dynamics within the first 15 min during severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)viral entry.Based on alterations in the phosphorylation events,we found that kinase activities such as protein kinase C(PKC),interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase 4(IRAK4),MAP/microtubule affinity-regulating kinase 3(MARK3),and TANK-binding kinase 1(TBK1)were affected within 15 min of infection.Application of the corresponding kinase inhibitors of PKC,IRAK4,and p38 showed significant inhibition of SARS-CoV-2 replication.Additionally,proinflammatory cytokine production was reduced by applying PKC and p38 inhibitors.By an acquisition of a combined image data using positiveand negative-sense RNA probes,as well as pseudovirus entry assay,we demonstrated that PKC contributed to viral entry into the host cell,and therefore,could be a potential COVID-19 therapeutic target.Siwen Liu Lin Zhu Guangshan Xie Bobo Wing-Yee Mok Zhu Yang Shaofeng Deng Siu-Ying Lau Pin Chen Pui Wang Honglin Chen Zongwei Cai 2022CCS Chemistry2022,4,1:1

12Extraordinary high-temperature mechanical properties in binder-free nanopolycrystalline WC ceramic显示文摘From the perspective of high-temperature applications,materials with excellent high-temperature mechanical properties are always desirable.The present work demonstrates that the binder-free nanopolycrystalline WC ceramic with an average grain size of 103 nm obtained by high-pressure and hightemperature sintering exhibits excellent mechanical properties at both room temperature and high temperature up to 1000℃.Specifically,the binder-free nanopolycrystalline WC ceramic still maintains a considerably high Vicker hardness H_(V)of 23.4 GPa at 1000℃,which is only 22%lower than the room temperature H_(V).This outstanding thermo-mechanical stability is superior to that of typical technical ceramics,e.g.SiC,Si_(3)N_(4),Al_(2)O_(3),etc.Nanocrystalline grains with many dislocations,numerous low-energy,highly stableΣ2 grain boundaries,and a relatively low thermal expansion coefficient,are responsible for the observed outstanding high-temperature mechanical properties.Hongfeng Dong Baozhong Li BoBo Liu Yang Zhang Lei Sun Kun Luo Yingju Wu Mengdong Ma Bing Liu Wentao Hu Julong He Dongli Yu Bo Xu Zhisheng Zhao Yongjun Tian 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,2:1

14Freestanding metal nanohole array for high-performance applications显示文摘Plasmonic devices using periodic metallic nanostructures have recently gained tremendous interest for color filters,sensing,surface enhanced spectroscopy,and enhanced photoluminescence,etc.However,the performance of such plasmonic devices is severely hampered by the solid substrates supporting the metallic nanostructures.Here,a strategy for freestanding metallic nanomembranes is introduced by taking advantages of hollow substrate structures.Large-area and highly uniform gold nanomembranes with nanohole array are fabricated via a flexible and simple replication-releasing method.The hollow structures include a hollow core fiber with 30μm core diameter and two ferrules with their hole diameter as 125 and 500μm,respectively.As a proof-of-concept demonstration,2 times higher sensitivity of the bulk refractive index is obtained with this platform compared to that of a counterpart on a solid silica substrate.Such a portable and compact configuration provides unique opportunities to explore the intrinsic properties of the metal nanomembranes and paves a new way to fabricate high-performance plasmonic devices for biomolecule sensing and color filter.Bobo Du Yinlan Ruan Dexing Yang Peipei Jia Shoufei Gao Yingying Wang Pu Wang Heike Ebendorff-Heidepriem 2020Photonics Research2020,8,11:0
15Study on the mechanism of color coordinate shift of LED package显示文摘In the paper, the influences of the chip, silicone and phosphors on the color coordinate shift of LED were studied. In the process of LED baking, it was found that the effect of the chip and silicone on the color coordinate drift is less than 3% through the analysis of each influencing factor. But the influence of the phosphors is large and accounted for 11.11% of the overall impact factors. 16Experimental and Numerical Analysis of Particle Migration and Patterning Behavior in a Gravel Pack显示文摘Due to its long lifespan and high sand-removal efficiency,gravel packing is one of the most applied sand control methods during the recovery of reservoirs with sanding problems.The blockage and retention of injected sand in a gravel pack is a complex process affected by multiple mechanisms.The majority of existing studies based on the phenomenological deep bed filtration(DBF)theory focused on the gravel pack’s overall permeability damage and failed to obtain the inner-pore particle distribution pattern.In this work,experiments and simulations were carried out to reveal the particle distribution in a gravel pack during flooding.In particular,through real-time monitoring of particle migration,the penetration depth and distribution pattern of invaded particles with different gravel-sand particle ratios,fluid viscosities and injection rates could be determined.By simplifying each unit bed element(UBE)into a pore-throat structure with four tunnels(two horizontals for discharge and two verticals for sedimentation),a new network simulation method,which combines deep bed filtration with a particle trajectory model,was implemented.Cross comparison of experimental and numerical results demonstrates the validity and accuracy of the model.Bobo Luo Yunbin Xiong Zhuoyi Li Zhanqing Qu Fenggang Liu Tiankui Guo Zugui Yang Yina Shi 2023Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing2023,19,4:0
17Enhanced straw fermentation process based on microbial electrolysis cell coupled anaerobic digestion显示文摘The low quality and yield of methane severely hinder the industrial application of straw biogas fermentation, and no effective solution has been found so far. In this study, a novel method was developed when a microbial electrolysis cell(MEC) was coupled with normal anaerobic fermentation to enhance methane yield and purity. The fermentation process achieved a methane purity of more than 85%, which is considerably higher than that of previously published reports. With microbial stimulation and an electric current, the degradation of fibers has been greatly enhanced. The MEC system substantially improved the yield and purity of biogas, bringing a new path to the synthesis of methane by carbon dioxide and hydrogen ions in solution under electron irradiation. Electrochemical index analysis showed extra methane synthesis, due to the external circuit electron transfer. The results of the gas chromatography and solid degradation rate showed that the carbon source of extra methane was CO_(2) produced during normal fermentation and additional volatile solid degradation. 18Simultaneous inhibition of PI3Kα and CDK4/6 synergistically suppresses KRAS-mutated non-small cell lung cancer显示文摘Objective: Activating KRAS mutations are the most common drivers in the development of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).However, unsuccess of treatment by direct inhibition of KRAS has been proven. Deregulation of PI3K signaling plays an important role in tumorigenesis and drug resistance in NSCLC. The activity of PI3Kα-selective inhibition against KRAS-mutated NSCLC remains largely unknown.Methods: Cell proliferation was detected by sulforhodamine B assay. Cell cycle distribution and apoptosis were measured by flow cytometry. Cell signaling was assessed by Western blot and immunohistochemistry. RNA interference was used to down-regulate the expression of cyclin D1. Human NSCLC xenografts were employed to detect therapeutic efficacy in vivo.Results: CYH33 possessed variable activity against a panel of KRAS-mutated NSCLC cell lines. Although CYH33 blocked AKT phosphorylation in all tested cells, Rb phosphorylation decreased in CYH33-sensitive, but not in CYH33-resistant cells, which was consistent with G1 phase arrest in sensitive cells. Combined treatment with the CDK4/6 inhibitor, PD0332991, and CYH33 displayed synergistic activity against the proliferation of both CYH33-sensitive and CYH33-resistant cells, which was accompanied by enhanced G1-phase arrest. Moreover, down-regulation of cyclin D1 sensitized NSCLC cells to CYH33. Reciprocally, CYH33 abrogated the PD0332991-induced up-regulation of cyclin D1 and phosphorylation of AKT in A549 cells. Co-treatment with these two drugs demonstrated synergistic activity against A549 and H23 xenografts, with enhanced inhibition of Rb phosphorylation.Conclusions: Simultaneous inhibition of PI3Kα and CDK4/6 displayed synergistic activity against KRAS-mutated NSCLC. 19Relationship Between Symptom Distress,Functional Status and Quality of Life in Patients with Low Back Myofascial Pain Syndrome显示文摘Objective:To explore the relationship between symptomatic functional status and quality of life of patients with low back myofascial pain syndrome(MPS).Methods:From July 2021 to June 2022,106 patients with low back myofascial pain syndrome in the Affiliated Hospital of Hebei University were selected as the research subjects.A total of 106 MPS patients were investigated with general information questionnaire,Memory Symptom Assessment Scale(MSAS),Oswestry Disability Index(ODI)and Short Form Questionnaire(SF-36).The relationship between quality of life and symptom distress and dysfunction was observed and analyzed based on symptom distress and dysfunction scores,SF-36 scores,and so on.Results:The total score of MSAS was 1.79±0.91.The overall symptom distress of the patients was moderate.The ODI score was 18.46±5.95.The functional disability of the patients was classified as moderately impaired.The MSAS-PHYS,MSAS-PSYCH,MSAS-GDI three scale scores were 2.14±0.75,1.69±0.88,1.55±0.46,respectively,and the variability of the three scales is relatively large;the dimension scores were significantly lower than those of the conventional scoring models,and P<0.05,indicating a statistical difference;the scores of each dimension of the patient’s quality of life were compared with the scores of symptom distress and functional status.The higher the symptom distress score,the lower the quality of life,with P<0.05,indicating a statistical difference;the higher the score of each dimension of functional status,the better the quality of life,showing a positive correlation,and P<0.05,indicating a statistical difference.Conclusion:MPS patients face a number of physical and psychological symptoms,and their functional status is limited.Nursing staff should implement health education and intervention measures according to the actual situation of the patients,so as to improve the quality of their lives.Yamin Zhao Qian Shen Xizi Yang Xueting Zhang Conghe Huo Bobo Meng Haimei Ren 2022Journal of Clinical and Nursing Research2022,6,6:0
