1Leakage Prediction Method for Contacting Mechanical Seals with Parallel Faces显示文摘Since the beginning of the 20th century, many researches on the sealing characteristic of mechanical seals were carried out broadly and in depth by various methods and some leakage models were built. But due to the lack of the way to characterize the main factors of influence on the leakage, most of the early researches were based on the assumptions that the seal faces topography and the frictional conditions were invariant. In the early built models, the effect of the surface topography change of the seal face on the leakage rate was neglected. Based on the fractal theory, the contact of end faces of the rotary and stationary rings was simplified to be the contact of a rough surface and an ideal rigid smooth surface, and the contact interface’s cavity size-distribution function as well as the fractal characteristic of the cavity profile curve was discussed. By analyzing the influence of abrasion on the seal face topography and the leakage channel, the time-correlation leakage prediction model of mechanical seals based on the fractal theory was established and the method for predicting the leakage rate of mechanical seals with parallel plane was proposed. The values of the leakage rate predicted theoretically are similar to the measured values of the leakage rate in the model test and in situ test. The experimental results indicate that the leakage rate of mechanical seals is a transient value. The surface topography of the end faces of the seal rings and its change during the frictional wear of mechanical seals can be accurately characterized by the fractal parameters. Under the work conditions of changeless frictional mechanism, the fractal parameters measured or calculated based on the accelerated testing equation can be used to predict the leakage rate of mechanical seal in service. 3The localization of type 2 diabetes susceptibility gene loci in northern Chinese Han families显示文摘We conducted a genome-wide scan, in which 358 well distributed fluorescent dye-labeled microsatellite marker sets were applied in 32 Chinese Han type 2 diabetes families from Northern China to search for the susceptibility gene loci. The data collected from screening all the chromosomes of genome were genotyped by using genescan and genotyping software, then, parametric and non-parametric multipoint test, and affected sib-pair analysis as well, were used to analyze the data. We identified some susceptibility gene loci residing in chromosomes 1,12,18,20, respectively, or precisely, located around D1S214, D1S207, D1S218, D1S235, D12S336, D18S61 and D20S118. 4INVESTIGATION INTO EFFECT OF SPRING PRESSURE ON PERFORMANCE OF BALANCED MECHANICAL SEALS显示文摘The loads acting on the sealing elements of balanced mechanical seals are analyzed. When the balance factor approaches the back pressure factor, the spring pressure will become main part of the face pressure. The leakage model of balanced mechanical seals is established on the base of M-B model for rough surface. Several GY-70 type balanced mechanical seals are tested. The influences of the spring pressure both on the leakage rate and on the friction characteristic of balanced mechanical seals are investigated. The research results indicate that as spring pressure increases, both the clear-ance between two end faces and the leakage rate will decrease, and the friction will be more serious because lubrication medium between the rotating ring and the stationary ring reduces, though the increase of the spring pressure may not be enough to change the face friction state of mechanical seals. There exists an optimum spring pressure for mechanical seal operation. Under this spring pres-sure, not only leakage rate is small, but also the seal end surfaces have a fine friction characteristic. Under different operating conditions, identical type mechanical seals may possess different spring pressure. 5Boundary velocity slip of pressure driven liquid flow in a micron pipe显示文摘The velocity slip of gas flow in a micron channel has been widely recognized.For pressure driven liquid flow in a macro pipe,theminute velocity slip at the wall boundary is usually neglected.With a decreasing scale in the cross section of the flow passage,the effect of velocity slip on flow and heat transfer behaviors becomes progressively more noticeable.Based on the three Hamaker homogeneous material hypotheses,the method for calculating the acting force between the solid and liquid molecular groups is established.By analyzing the forces exerted on the liquid group near the pipe wall,it is found that the active force arising from the rough solid wall can provide the component force to resist the shearing force and keep the liquid group immobile.Based on this a velocity slip criterion is proposed.Considering the force balance of a slipping liquid group,the frictional force caused by the solid wall can be obtained and then the velocity of the liquid group can be calculated using the derived coefficient of friction.The investigation reveals that,in a micron pipe,a small velocity slip may occur when the flow pressure gradient is relatively large,and will cause errors in the pipe flow estimates.ZHOU JianFeng GU BoQin SHAO ChunLei 2011Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,15:7

7SIMS U-Pb dating of rutile within eclogitic xenoliths in the Early Cretaceous adakitic rocks of the Xuzhou-Huaibei area, China: Constraints on the timing of crustal thickening of the eastern North China Craton显示文摘This paper reports the results of secondary ion mass spectrometry(SIMS) U-Pb dating of rutile within eclogitic xenoliths from the Early Cretaceous adakitic rocks in the Xuzhou-Huaibei area of China and discusses the geological significance of these new dates. The dating of rutile from pargasite-bearing eclogite and garnet clinopyroxenite(retrograde eclogite) yielded ages of 209 ± 25 and 132 ± 7 Ma, respectively. The former is consistent with the timing of the first stage of exhumation of the Dabie-Sulu orogenic belt and provides evidence of crustal thickening within the southeastern margin of the North China Craton during the early Mesozoic, related to subduction and collision between the Yangtze and North China cratons. The latter age is similar to the timing of emplacement of the hosting intrusion and indicates that the rutile U-Pb system was triggered after uplifting by the intrusion of the hosting magmas. 8Isolation and expression pattern analysis of novel ESTs from human fetal brain显示文摘In order to learn the mechanism of brain development and differentiation, 90 expressed sequence tags (ESTs) were isolated by differential display from the cerebrum and cerebellum of 13-week and 33-week fetal brains. After searching database, 74 of them represented novel genes, some of them were homologous to the brain development related genes. 10Frictional heat transfer regularity of the fluid film in mechanical seals显示文摘The frictional heat transfer regularity in the mechanical seal system consisting of the rotating ring, the stationary ring, the fluid film in the end faces and the sealed medium was investigated. The primary factors affecting the frictional heat transfer regularity, such as the heat transfer coefficients from the rings to the sealed medium, the frictional heat flux, the frictional heat distribution ratio and so on, were discussed. The equations for calculating the temperature field both in the sealing members and in the fluid film were derived. The coupling analysis of the frictional heat of the fluid film and the thermal deformation of the two end faces of the rings was carried out to obtain the separation angle of the two deformed end faces in consideration of the viscosity change of the fluid film. The results indicate that the frictional heat of the fluid film heavily affects its characteristic and the sealing performance of mechanical seals. The frictional heat changes not only the shape of the gap between the end faces but also the viscosity of the fluid film, and thereupon leads to the increase of the leakage rate. The maximum temperature of the system is at the inner radius of the fluid film, and most of the frictional heat is conducted by the rotating ring. 14RNA-binding Protein UNR Promotes Glioma Cell Migration and Regulates the Expression of Ribosomal Protein L9显示文摘Objective To investigate the role of RNA binding protein—upstream-of-N-Ras(UNR)in the development of glioma and its molecular mechanism.Methods First,bioinformatics analysis of CGGA database was performed to detect UNR expression level and prognosis of patients with glioma.Western blot and real-time PCR were used to detect UNR expression level in glioma cell lines and tissues.Next,UNR siRNAs were transfected in glioma cells,and MTS assay and scratch wound-healing assay were used to detect changes in cell proliferation and migration.Then,the candidate UNR target mRNAs were identified by analyzing the sequencing data of UNR iCLIP-seq,RNA sequencing and ribosome profiling databases of human melanoma.RNA immunoprecipitation and biotin pull-down assays were used to identify the UNR target mRNAs in glioma cells.Finally,western blot was used to detect the effect of UNR knockdown on ribosomal protein L9(RPL9)and RPL9 protein expression level in glioma cell lines.RPL9 siRNA was transfected in A172 and T98G and the expression of vimentin in the cells was detected with western blot.Results Bioinformatics analysis showed that UNR mRNA expression level was significantly higher in highgrade glioma[GradeⅡ(n=126),GradeⅢ(n=51),GradeⅣ(n=128),P<0.001].UNR high expression levels were associated with poor prognosis(P=0.0177).UNR had high expression level in glioma cell lines and patient samples compared with normal cell lines and normal brain samples(P<0.01).Knockdown of UNR inhibited glioma cells migration(P<0.05),but did not inhibit glioma cells growth in three glioma cell lines.UNR binded the 3’untranslated region(UTR)of PTEN and RPL9 mRNAs.RPL9 protein was significantly highly expressed in most glioma cell lines(n=9)and knockdown of UNR resulted in a downregulation of RPL9 protein expression.Ningyu Tian Yingjiao Qi Yan Hu Bin Yin Jiangang Yuan Boqin Qiang Xiaozhong Peng Wei Han 2018Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2018,33,3:1
