1Role of mantle-derived magma in genesis of early Yanshanian granites in the Nanling Range, South China: in situ zircon Hf-O isotopic constraints显示文摘Although a number of petrographic observations and isotopic data suggest that magma mixing is common in genesis of many granite plutons, it is still controversial whether the mantle-derived magmas were involved in granites. We carried out in this study a systematic analysis of in situ zircon Hf-O isotopes for three early Yanshanian intrusions dated at ca. 160 Ma from the Nanling Range of Southeast China. The Qinghu monzonite has very homogeneous zircon Hf-O isotopic compositions, εHf(t) =11.6±0.3 and δ18O=5.4‰±0.3‰. In combination with whole-rock geochemical and Sr-Nd isotopic data, the parental magma of the Qinghu monzonite were likely derived from the partial melting of recently-metasomatized, phlogopite-bearing lithospheric mantle without appreciable crustal contamination. The Lisong and Fogang granites and the mafic microgranular enclaves (MME) within the Lisong granites have a wide range of zircon Hf-O isotopic compositions, with Hf and O isotopes being negatively correlated within each pluton. The Lisong MMEs were crystallized from a mantle-derived magma, similar to the parental magma of the Qinghu monzonite, with small amount of crustal assimilation. The Lisong and Fogang granites were formed by reworking of meta-sedimentary materials by mantle-derived magmas and mixing of the mantle-and sediment-derived melts to varying degrees. 2Qinghu zircon:A working reference for microbeam analysis of U-Pb age and Hf and O isotopes显示文摘Zircon is the most useful mineral for studies in U-Pb geochronology and Hf and O isotope geochemistry.Matrix effect is a major problem of the microbeam techniques such as SIMS and LA-(MC)-ICPMS.Therefore,external standardization using well-characterized natural zircon standards is fundamental for accurate microbeam measurements.While the isotopic geochronology and geochemistry laboratories equipped with microbeam analytical facilities have been increasingly established in China during the past decade,applications of the isotopic microanalysis are still limited due to shortage of available standards.We report here the Qinghu zircon as a potential new working reference for microbeam analysis of zircon U-Pb age and O-Hf isotopes.This zircon was separated from the Qinghu quartz monzonite from the western Nanling Range,Southeast China.It is fairly homogeneous in U-Pb age and Hf and O isotopes in terms of large amounts of mircobeam measurements by LA-MC-ICPMS and SIMS at the scales of 20–60 m.SIMS measurements yield consistent206Pb/238U age within analytical uncertainties with that obtained by ID-TIMS.Precise determinations of O isotopes by IRMS and Hf isotopes by solution MC-ICPMS are in good agreement with the statistical mean of microbeam measurements.We recommend U-Pb age of=159.5±0.2 Ma(2SE),18O=5.4‰±0.2‰(2SD)and176Hf/177Hf=0.283002±0.000004(2SD)as the best reference values for the Qinghu zircon.LI XianHua TANG GuoQiang GONG Bing YANG YueHeng HOU KeJun HU ZhaoChu LI QiuLi LIU Yu LI WuXian 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,36:60
3Ultra-low procedural blank and the single-grain mica Rb-Sr isochron dating显示文摘Both low procedural blank and high-precision measurements of isotopic ratios are crucial for the analysis of micro samples. This study reports a chemical procedure of ultra-low blank for the high precision measurement of Sr isotopic ratios on micro samples (<1 ng level) using a new-type thermal ionization mass spectrometer IsoProbe-T, with a case study of single-grain Rb-Sr isochron dating on phlogopite from the Fuxian kimberlite in Liaoning Province. 5Distribution and significance of C~_(40) alkanes in the extracts of Cretaceous source rocks from the Songliao Basin显示文摘Source rock extracts and crude oils from the Songliao Basin were analyzed by high-temperature gas chromatography (HTGC), gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (HTGC-MS) and gas chromatography-isotope ratio-mass spectrometry (GC-IRMS), for high molecular-weight alkanes. The distributions of n-alkanes in the Nenjiang Formation extracts are in the C14―C63 range; a bimodal distribution occurs in the C-21 and C21―40 regions. The C30―C37 n-alkanes are accompanied by C29―C35 hopanes, whereas the high molecular-weight C45―C47 n-alkanes co-occur with abundant isoalkanes, alkylcyclohexanes and alkylcyclopentanes. The high δ 13C values of the n-alkanes and the microscopic maceral compositions indicate a highly diversified organic source input for the Nenjiang Formation source rocks, ranging from aquatic plants, blue alge-bacteria, to land plant material. In contrast, n-alkanes in the rock extracts of the Qingshankou Formation are characterized by a single modal distribution, with relatively low abundances of C29―C35 hopanes, but high molecular-weight isoalkanes, alkylcyclohexanes and alkylcyclopentanes. The relatively low δ 13C values of C22―C44 n-alkanes and organic material compositions indicate that the source rocks in the Qingshankou Formation contain dominantly type I algal organic matter. The relative abundance of C+40 compounds in source rocks changes little at low maturity stage, but decreases drastically at higher maturity levels, with a concurrent reduction in the odd/even carbon predominance. 6Zr-in-rutile thermometry in eclogite at Jinheqiao in the Dabie orogen and its geochemical implications显示文摘Trace element analysis was made by an electron microprobe on rutiles from ultrahigh-pressure ec-logite at Jinheqiao in the Dabie orogen. The results show Zr contents of 37 to 118 μg·g?1, with signifi-cant variations between grains within the same thin section. Zr-in-rutile temperatures were calculated by the pressure-dependent thermometer, yielding 595 to 678℃ at 4.1 GPa for the upper limit of meta-morphic pressures. The temperatures are about 200 to 250℃ lower than temperatures of 846±70℃ calculated from garnet-omphacite Fe-Mg partition geothermometry, but 150 to 200℃ higher than ~460℃ from quartz-rutile O isotope temperatures and rutile Pb diffusion closure temperature for the same specimen. This indicates that the diffusion rate of Zr in rutile is remarkably slower than that of Pb and O in rutile, and that the temperature of Zr-in-rutile is higher than the closure temperature corre-sponding to cooling age as dated by rutile U-Pb radiometric system. The latter is consistent with ex-perimental result of Zr diffusion in rutile. Diffusion and re-crystallization with intensive retrograde fluid during exhumation of UHP metamorphic rocks may be the major reason why the Zr contents in rutile decreased and thus did not provide the record of the peak metamorphic temperatures. The remarkable difference in Zr content between rutile grains suggests that the distribution of Zr in rutile was in the state of disequilibrium due to differential diffusion and retrograde resetting.CHEN ZhenYu LI QiuLi 2008Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,5:9
7Facile synthesis of poly(aroxycarbonyltriazole)s with aggregation-induced emission characteristics by metal-free click polymerization显示文摘Regioseletive 1,3-dipolar polycycloadditions of 4,4'-isopropylidenediphenyl dipropiolate (1) and tetraphenylethene (TPE)-containing diazides (2) are carried out in polar solvents such as DMF/toluene at a moderate temperature of 100℃ for 6 h,producing poly(aroxycarbonyltriazole)s (PACTs) P3 with high molecular weights (Mw up to 23900) and regioregularities (F1,4 up to ~90%) in high yields (up to ~99%).These metal-free click polymerizations can propagate smoothly in an open atmosphere without protection from oxygen and moisture.The obtained polymers are soluble in common organic solvents and thermally stable at temperatures up to 375℃.Thanks to their contained TPE moieties,the PACTs show aggregation-induced emission and can serve as fluorescent chemosensors for superamplified detection of explosives.LI HongKun MEI Ju WANG Jian ZHANG Shuang ZHAO QiuLi WEI Qiang QIN AnJun SUN JingZhi TANG Ben Zhong 2011Science China Chemistry2011,54,4:8
8Application of deep learning in ecological resource research:Theories, methods, and challenges显示文摘Ecological resources are an important material foundation for the survival,development,and self-realization of human beings.In-depth and comprehensive research and understanding of ecological resources are beneficial for the sustainable development of human society.Advances in observation technology have improved the ability to acquire long-term,cross-scale,massive,heterogeneous,and multi-source data.Ecological resource research is entering a new era driven by big data.Traditional statistical learning and machine learning algorithms have problems with saturation in dealing with big data.Deep learning is a method for automatically extracting complex high-dimensional nonlinear features,which is increasingly used for scientific and industrial data processing because of its ability to avoid saturation with big data.To promote the application of deep learning in the field of ecological resource research,here,we first introduce the relationship between deep learning theory and research on ecological resources,common tools,and datasets.Second,applications of deep learning in classification and recognition,detection and localization,semantic segmentation,instance segmentation,and graph neural network in typical spatial discrete data are presented through three cases:species classification,crop breeding,and vegetation mapping.Finally,challenges and opportunities for the application of deep learning in ecological resource research in the era of big data are summarized by considering the characteristics of ecological resource data and the development status of deep learning.It is anticipated that the cooperation and training of cross-disciplinary talents may promote the standardization and sharing of ecological resource data,improve the universality and interpretability of algorithms,and enrich applications with the development of hardware.Qinghua GUO Shichao JIN Min LI Qiuli YANG Kexin XU Yuanzhen JU Jing ZHANG Jing XUAN Jin LIU Yanjun SU Qiang XU Yu LIU 2020Science China Earth Sciences2020,63,10:7

10Determination on ^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr ratio and stratigraphic dating of single-grain foraminifera显示文摘The Sr isotopic composition of foraminifera has been used in studies of chronstratigraphy and sedi- mentary geochemistry. However, it is difficult to sample foraminifera without overprinting of later diagenesis, which contains enough amount of Sr for isotopic measurement. Analysis of single-grain foraminifera was successively conducted by a combination of low Sr procedural blank and high precision determination of 87Sr/86Sr ratio. This combi- nation of single-grain foraminifera can be significant for the study and application of Sr isotopic composition of fo- raminifera. Measured foraminifera of this study, having a size between 250 μm and 400 μm, were sampled from the carbonate basement of a ferromanganese crust in western Pacific. Mean value of 87Sr/86Sr ratios of the analyzed sin- gle-grain foraminifera is 0.709150 ±0.000013 with internal precision between 4 ppm and 8 ppm for each measurement run. Average value of total procedural blank of Sr is 14 pg. It is significant but difficult to date foraminifera in carbonate basements of ferromanganese crusts. 11The chimeric genes in the hybrid lineage of Carassius auratus cuvieri(♀)×Carassius auratus red var.(♂)显示文摘Hybridization can combine the genomes of different strains or species, which leads to changes of genotype and phenotype in the hybrids. In this study, we aimed to investigate the genetic variations of hybrids(WR-F1 and WR-F2) derived from the intraspecific hybridization of white crucian carp(Carassius auratus cuvieri, WCC, ♀) and red crucian carp(Carassius auratus red var., RCC, ♂). Here, we compared the orthologous genes in the liver transcriptomes of hybrids with those of WCC and RCC, and classified the orthologous genes into eight gene patterns within three categories(chimera, mutant, and biparental origin genes).The results revealed 19.04%, 4.17% chimeric genes and 6.90%, 5.05% mutations of orthologous genes in WR-F1 and WR-F2 respectively. Seventeen of twenty-three characterized genes(77%) were confirmed to be the chimeras at the genomic DNA level.The GO classification discovered that some chimeric and mutant genes were related to metabolic process, immune system and developmental process in WR-F1. Our results provide the new evidence that hybridization can combine the parental genomes,leading to changes in the genotype of the resultant hybrids. 12Depositional environment of terrestrial petroleum source rocks and geochemical indicators in the Songliao Basin显示文摘To determine geochemical indicators for depositional environment favored by terrestrial petroleum source rocks, we selected 40 source rock samples from the Late Cretaceous Qingshankou Formation (K2qn) and the first member of Nenjiang Formation (K2n1) in the Songliao Basin to qualify saturate fraction and aromatic fraction using GC-HRT (gas chromatography high reso lution time-of-flight mass spectrometry) and quantify important biomarkers using GC-MS. The results reveal that source rocks from the 1st member of Qingshankou Formation (K2qn1) are characterized by not only high contents of terpanes, regular ster anes and 4-methylsteranes but also high contents of dinosteranes, C31 steranes and aryl isoprenoids. Presence of specific bi omarkers like elementary sulfur and lanostanes indicates a depositional environment of lagoon characterized by water stratifi cation and high salinity. In the 2nd-3rd members of Qingshankou Formation (K2qn2+3), source rocks contain lower contents of biomarkers, indicating a depositional environment of shallow fresh-water lake delta. Source rocks in the K2n1 contain high contents of terpanes, regular steranes and 4-methylsteranes but lower contents of dinosteranes, C31 steranes and aryl isopre noids, indicating a depositional environment of fresh-brackish open lake characterized by low salinity and poor water stratifi cation, where organic matter is seriously altered by bacteria. 14Rutile U-Pb age for the ultra-high pressure eclogite from the Dabie Mountains, central China: Evidence for rapid cooling显示文摘The U-Pb isotope compositions of rutile, om-phacite and garnet in the eclogite from the Jinheqiao area in the Southern Dabie ultrahigh-pressure metamorphic zonewere analyzed. The consistent high precision U-Pb age (218± 1.2) Ma of rutile in eclogite from the Dabie Mountains was obtained by two ways of isochron and common Pb correction based on the composition of omphacite. This proves that the omphacite in eclogite has a U/Pb ratio (μ = 2.8) low enough to be used for common Pb correction in the analyses of rutile. Under the rapid cooling condition (40℃/Ma) the closure temperature for U-Pb diffusion in rutile is about 470℃. 15Biocompatible organic dots with aggregation-induced emission for in vitro and in vivo fluorescence imaging显示文摘Fluorescent probes play a key role in modern biomedical research. As compared to inorganic quantum dots (QDs) composed with heavy metal elements, organic dye-based fluorescent nanoparticles have higher biocompatibility and are richer in variety. However, traditional organic fluorophores tend to quench fluorescence upon aggregation, which is known as aggregation-caused quenching (ACQ) effect that hinders the fabrication of highly emissive fluorescent nanoparticles. In this work, we demonstrate the synthesis of organic fluorescent dots with aggregation-induced emission (AIE) in far-red/near-infrared (FA/NIR) region. A conventional ACQ-characteristic fluorescent dye, 3,4:9,10-tetracarboxylic perylene bisimide (PBI), is converted into an AIE fluorogen through attaching two tetraphenylethylene (TPE) moieties. The fluorescent dots with surface folic acid groups are fabricated from PBI derivative (DTPEPBI), showing specific targeting effect to folate receptor-overexpressed cancer cells. In vivo studies also suggest that the folic acid-functionalized AIE dots preferentially accumulate in the tumor site through enhanced permeability and retention (EPR) effect and folate receptor-mediated active targeting effect. 16Targeted disruption of tyrosinase causes melanin reduction in Carassius auratus cuvieri and its hybrid progeny显示文摘The white crucian carp(Carassius auratus cuvieri,WCC) not only is one of the most economically important fish in Asia,characterized by strong reproductive ability and rapid growth rates,but also represents a good germplasm to produce hybrid progenies with heterosis.Gene knockout technique provides a safe and acceptant way for fish breeding.Achieving gene knockout in WCC and its hybrid progeny will be of great importance for both genetic studies and hybridization breeding.Tyrosinase(TYR) is a key enzyme in melanin synthesis.Depletion of tyr in zebrafish and mice results in mosaic pigmentation or total albinism.Here,we successfully used CRISPR-Cas9 to target tyr in WCC and its hybrid progeny(WR) derived from the cross of WCC(♀) and red crucian carp(Carassius auratus red var.,RCC,♂).The level of TYR protein was significantly reduced in mutant WCC.Both the mutant WCC and the mutant WR showed different degrees of melanin reduction compared with the wild-type sibling control fish,resulting from different mutation efficiency ranging from 60% to 90%.In addition,the transcriptional expression profiles of a series of pivotal pigment synthesis genes,i.e.tyrp1,mitfa,mitfb,dct and sox10,were down-regulated in tyr-CRISPR WCC,which ultimately caused a reduction in melanin synthesis.These results demonstrated that tyr plays a key role in melanin synthesis in WCC and WR,and CRISPR-Cas9 is an effective tool for modifying the genome of economical fish.Furthermore,the tyr-CRISPR models could be valuable in understanding fundamental mechanisms of pigment formation in non-model fish.Qingfeng Liu Yanhua Qi Qiuli Liang Jia Song Junmei Liu Wuhui Li Yuqin Shu Min Tao Chun Zhang Qinbo Qin Jing Wang Shaojun Liu 2019Science China(Life Sciences)2019,62,9:4
17Nd isotopic disequilibrium between minerals and Rb-Sr age of the secondary phengite in eclogite from the Yangkou area,Qingdao,eastern China显示文摘There are two generations of white micas in retrograded coesite-bearing eclogite from the Yangkou area near Qingdao, eastern China. The secondary phengite developed along the folliations in eclogite is the majority of the white micas. Nd and Sr isotopic disequilibriums between garnet and retrograded omphacite as well as secondary phengite have been observed. Consequently, the Rb-Sr ages ((193±4) Ma-(195±4) Ma) given by the tie lines of the secondary phengite + garnet or whole rock may predate the formation time of the phengite. 18SIMS U-Pb dating of rutile within eclogitic xenoliths in the Early Cretaceous adakitic rocks of the Xuzhou-Huaibei area, China: Constraints on the timing of crustal thickening of the eastern North China Craton显示文摘This paper reports the results of secondary ion mass spectrometry(SIMS) U-Pb dating of rutile within eclogitic xenoliths from the Early Cretaceous adakitic rocks in the Xuzhou-Huaibei area of China and discusses the geological significance of these new dates. The dating of rutile from pargasite-bearing eclogite and garnet clinopyroxenite(retrograde eclogite) yielded ages of 209 ± 25 and 132 ± 7 Ma, respectively. The former is consistent with the timing of the first stage of exhumation of the Dabie-Sulu orogenic belt and provides evidence of crustal thickening within the southeastern margin of the North China Craton during the early Mesozoic, related to subduction and collision between the Yangtze and North China cratons. The latter age is similar to the timing of emplacement of the hosting intrusion and indicates that the rutile U-Pb system was triggered after uplifting by the intrusion of the hosting magmas. 20Inhibition of ROS elevation and damage to mitochondrial function prevents lead-induced neurotoxic effects on structures and functions of AFD neurons in Caenorhabditis elegans显示文摘Here we investigated the possible roles of oxidative stress in the formation of decreased thermotaxis to cultivation temperature in lead(Pb)-exposed nematodes Caenorhabditis elagans.Exposure to Pb at the examined concentrations decreased thermotaxis behaviors,and induced severe deficits in the structural properties of AFD sensory neurons.Meanwhile,Pb exposure caused the induction of severe oxidative damage,reactive oxygen species(ROS) production,and mitochondrial dysfunction in young adults.Moreover,pre-treatment with the antioxidants dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO),ascorbate and N-acetyl-L-cysteine(NAC),used to inhibit both the ROS elevation and the mitochondrial dysfunction caused by Pb exposure,at the L2-larval stage prevented the induction of oxidative damage and the formation of severe deficits in thermotaxis and structural properties of AFD sensory neurons in Pb-exposed young adults.Therefore,the formation of oxidative stress caused by Pb exposure may be due to both the induction of ROS elevation and damage to mitochondrial function,and oxidative stress may play a key role in inducing the neurotoxic effects on the structures and function of AFD sensory neurons in Pb-exposed nematodes.Qiuli Wu Peidang Liu Yinxia Li Min Du Xiaojuan Xing Dayong Wang 2012Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,4:3
