| 1 | Placenta-derived IL-32β activates neutrophils to promote preeclampsia development显示文摘Immune activation at the maternal-fetal interface is a main pathogenic factor of preeclampsia(PE).Neutrophils(PMNs)are activated in PE patients,but the mechanism and consequences of PMN activation need to be further explored.Here,we demonstrated that interleukin-32(IL-32)expression was significantly upregulated in syncytiotrophoblasts(STBs)and that IL-32β was the major isoform with increased expression in the placenta of severe PE(sPE)patients.Furthermore,the level of IL-32 expression in the placenta was correlated with its level in the serum of sPE patients,indicating that IL-32 in the serum is derived mainly from the placenta.Then,in vitro experiments showed that IL-32β could highly activate PMNs and that these IL-32β-activated PMNs were better able to adhere to endothelial cells(HUVECs)and enhance the expression of vascular cell adhesion molecule-1(VCAM-1)and intercellular cell adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1)in HUVECs,which could be reversed by preincubation with the NADPH oxidase inhibitor VAS 2870.In addition,we showed that IL-32β mainly activated PMNs by binding to proteinase 3.Finally,IL-32β administration induced a PE-like phenotype in a pregnant mouse model.This study provides evidence of the involvement of IL-32β in the pathogenesis of PE. | Dan Liu Qiang Li Hailin Ding Guangfeng Zhao Zhiyin Wang Chenrui Cao Yimin Dai Mingming Zheng Xiangyu Zhu Qianwen Wu Ya Wang Honglei Duan Huirong Tang Xianyan Lu Yayi Hou Yali Hu | 2021 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,4: | 2 |

| 17 | Peripheral body temperature rhythm is associated with suicide risk in major depressive disorder:a case-control study显示文摘Background Patients with major depressive disorder(MDD)may have an abnormal peripheral body temperature rhythm,but its relationship with suicidal risk and the response to treatment with antidepressants remain unknown.Aims This study aimed to investigate the feature of peripheral body temperature in patients with MDD and its relationship with suicide risk before and after treatment with antidepressants.Methods This is a prospective case-control study.Patients diagnosed as MDD were enrolled into MDD group.Healthy subjects who matched in terms of gender,age and body mass index were enrolled into normal control(NC)group.The 24-hour peripheral body temperatures were monitored by TM’Holter the next day after assessment.Patients with MDD were re-assessed after a 2-week treatment with antidepressants.All temperature data were fitted into cosine curves by Python.Result There were 41 patients with MDD,and 21 NC participants enrolled and completed the baseline assessments before the treatment.Patients with MDD were further divided into subgroup of with suicide risk or without suicide risk.In patients with MDD,the mesor of peripheral body temperature rhythm was higher in both patients with(36.17(0.30))and without suicide risk(36.22(0.27))than the mesor in NC participants before treatment(35.84(0.38),Z=11.82,p=0.003,Kruskal-Wallis test).The phase-delay of temperature before treatment was greater in patients with MDD with suicidal risk(4.71(1.68))in comparison with those without suicidal risk(3.05(2.19))and NC participants(3.19(1.82),Z=9.68,p=0.008,Kruskal-Wallis test).Moreover,phase-delay of temperature was associated with suicide risk in patients with MDD before treatment(OR=1.046,95%CI:1.009 to 1.085,p=0.015,unadjusted;OR=1.080,95%CI:1.020 to 1.144,p=0.009,adjusted by age and sex).Conclusion Patients with MDD might have abnormal peripheral body temperature.The abnormal phase-delay of peripheral body temperature may indicate suicide risk in patients with MDD,depending on validation in large-scale cohorts. | Xin Ma Jing Cao Hailin Zheng Xinchun Mei Meijuan Wang Haoran Wang Yu Shuai Yuan Shen | 2021 | General Psychiatry2021,34,1: | 1 |

| 19 | Ultrafast growth of wafer-scale fold-free bilayer graphene显示文摘Bilayer graphene provides a versatile platform for exploring a variety of intriguing phenomena and shows much promise for applications in electronics,optoelectronics,etc.Controlled growth of large-area bilayer graphene is therefore highly desired yet still suffers from a slow growth rate and poor layer uniformity.Meanwhile,graphene wrinkles,including folds and ripples,form during cooling due to the thermal contraction mismatch between graphene and the metal substrates,and have been far from suppressed or eliminated,especially in bilayer graphene,which would greatly degrade the extraordinary properties of graphene.Here we report the ultrafast growth of wafer-scale fold-free bilayer graphene by chemical vapor deposition.Through well-tuning the alloy thickness and strain regulation of the single-crystal CuNi(111)/sapphire,the full coverage of a 2-inch fold-free bilayer graphene wafer via mainly isothermal segregation has been achieved as fast as 30 s.The tensile-strained CuNi(111)film reduces the thermal contraction mismatch and suppresses the formation of graphene folds during cooling,which is directly observed through in situ optical microscopy.The ultraflat bilayer graphene exhibits wafer-scale uniformity in electrical performance and enhanced mechanical property comparable to the exfoliated ones.Our results offer a promising route for largescale production of bilayer graphene and enable its various applications. | Jilin Tang Yuechen Wang Yuwei Ma Xiaoyin Gao Xin Gao Ning Li Yani Wang Shishu Zhang Liming Zheng Bing Deng Rui Yan Yisen Cao Ronghua Zhang Lianming Tong Jin Zhang Peng Gao Zhongfan Liu Xiaoding Wei Hongtao Liu Hailin Peng | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,7: | 0 |
