1The development of collagen based composite scaffolds for bone regeneration显示文摘Bone is consisted of bone matrix,cells and bioactive factors,and bone matrix is the combination of inorganic minerals and organic polymers.Type I collagen fibril made of five triple-helical collagen chains is the main organic polymer in bone matrix.It plays an important role in the bone formation and remodeling process.Moreover,collagen is one of the most commonly used scaffold materials for bone tissue engineering due to its excellent biocompatibility and biodegradability.However,the low mechanical strength and osteoinductivity of collagen limit its wider applications in bone regeneration field.By incorporating different biomaterials,the properties such as porosity,structural stability,osteoinductivity,osteogenicity of collagen matrixes can be largely improved.This review summarizes and categorizes different kinds of biomaterials including bioceramic,carbon and polymer materials used as components to fabricate collagen based composite scaffolds for bone regeneration.Moreover,the possible directions of future research and development in this field are also proposed.Dawei Zhang Xiaowei Wu Jingdi Chen Kaili Lin 2018Bioactive Materials2018,3,1:16
2A new bone repair scaffold combined with chitosan/ hydroxyapatite and sustained releasing icariin显示文摘Icariin, a plant-derived flavonol glycoside, has been proved as an osteoinductive agent for bone tissue engineering. A new bone repair scaffold was generated by thorough mixing of icariin and chitosan/ hydroxyapatite (icariin-CS/HA) using freeze-drying technigue. Characteristics of morphology, mechanical properties, biocompatibility, drug release behavior and bone repair abilities in vivo were evaluated. The results show that drug loading process of icariin did not affect physical structure of CS/HA composite significantly but decreased mechanical properies of CS/HA composite, which happened with a high dosage; icariin-CS/HA had favorable cell compatibility and promoted osteogenic differentiation of hBMSCs; the controlled release of icariin was satisfactory and the release retained after 90 d in vitro. In addition, icariin-CS/HA scaffolds had favorable osteoconduction and osteoinduction in vivo, and could fill bone defect sites and stimulate newborn bone tissues formation at early stage. 12A fast on-demand preparation of injectable self-healing nanocomposite hydrogels for efficient osteoinduction显示文摘Injectable hydrogels have been considered as promising materials for bone regeneration,but their osteoinduction and mechanical performance are yet to be improved.In this study,a novel biocompatible injectable and self-healing nano hybrid hydrogel was on-demand prepared via a fast(within 30 s)and easy gelation approach by reversible Schiff base formed between-CH=O of oxidized sodium alginate(OSA)and-NH2 of glycol chitosan(GCS)mixed with calcium phosphate nanoparticles(CaP NPs).Its raw materials can be ready in large quantities by a simple synthesis process.The mechanical strength,degradation and swelling behavior of the hydrogel can be readily controlled by simply controlling the molar ratio of-CH=O and-NH2.This hydrogel exhibits pH responsiveness,good degradability and biocompatibility.The hydrogel used as the matrix for mesenchymal stem cells can significantly induce the proliferation,differentiation and osteoinduction in vitro.These results showed this novel hydrogel is an ideal candidate for applications in bone tissue regeneration and drug delivery.Panpan Pan Xiao Chen Huaran Xing Yonghui Deng Jingdi Chen Fahad AAlharthi Abdulaziz AAlghamdi Jiacan Su 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,7:0
13Unconventional ferroelectricity in half-filling states of antiparallel stacking of twisted WSe_(2)显示文摘We report on emergence of an abnormal electronic polarization in twisted double bilayer WSe_(2) in antiparallel interface stacking geometry,where local centrosymmetry of atomic registries at the twist interface does not favor the spontaneous electronic polarizations as recently observed in the parallel interface stacking geometry.The unconventional ferroelectric behaviors probed by electronic transport measurement occur at half filling insulating states at 1.5 K and gradually disappear at about 40 K.Single band Hubbard model based on the triangular moirélattice and the interlayer charge transfer controlled by insulating phase transition are proposed to interpret the formation of electronic polarization states near half filling in twisted WSe_(2) devices.Our work highlights the prominent role of many-body electronic interaction in fostering novel quantum states in moiré-structured systems.Liheng An Zishu Zhou Xuemeng Feng Meizhen Huang Xiangbin Cai Yong Chen Pei Zhao Xi Dai Jingdi Zhang Wang Yao Junwei Liu Ning Wang 2023National Science Open2023,2,1:0
14Real-time monitoring flexible hydrogels based on dual physically cross-linked network for promoting wound healing显示文摘To achieve smart and personalized medicine, the development of hydrogel dressings with sensing properties and biotherapeutic properties that can act as a sensor to monitor of human health in real-time while speeding up wound healing face great challenge. In the present study, a biocompatible dual-network composite hydrogel(DNCGel) sensor was obtained via a simple process. The dual network hydrogel is constructed by the interpenetration of a flexible network formed of poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA) physical cross-linked by repeated freeze-thawing and a rigid network of iron-chelated xanthan gum(XG) impregnated with Fe^(3+) interpenetration. The pure PVA/XG hydrogels were chelated with ferric ions by immersion to improve the gel strength(compressive modulus and tensile modulus can reach up to 0.62 MPa and0.079 MPa, respectively), conductivity(conductivity values ranging from 9 × 10^(-4) S/cm to 1 × 10^(-3)S/cm)and bacterial inhibition properties(up to 98.56%). Subsequently, the effects of the ratio of PVA and XG and the immersion time of Fe^(3+) on the hydrogels were investigated, and DNGel3 was given the most priority on a comprehensive consideration. It was demonstrated that the DNCGel exhibit good biocompatibility in vitro, effectively facilitate wound healing in vivo(up to 97.8% healing rate) under electrical stimulation, and monitors human movement in real time. 15Contrast-enhanced CT of Pulmonary Embolism: Report of 20 cases显示文摘Objectives To study the characteristic of pulmonary embolism (PE) in contrast-enhanced CT. Methods The radiological features were described in 20 patients with lobar and proximal PE diagnosed with a Toshiba Xpress/SX CT scanner after contrast material was administrated.Results There were 7 cases of pulmonary embolism (PE) secondary to lower limb deep vein thrombosis (DVT), of which 2 cases were related to sauna bath. We grouped the cases according to their extensiveness of embolism: mild, moderate, severe, or complete embolism. Mild embolism: the emboli occupied less than 30%, of the inner diameter of pulmonary artery (PA). Median embolism: the emboli occupied 30~50% of the PA diameter. Severe embolism: the emboli occupied over half of the PA (50%), but there were contrast flow. Completed embolism: there was no contrast found around the emboli. The direct sign of PE was a filling defect or no opacification in the affected branch of pulmonary artery (PA). There were 9 other secondary signs: ①widen PA, ②enlarged right ventricle and the right atrium, ③increased translucency of the lung and decreased bronchovascular shadows,④shrunken pulmonary veins liked dried rattan,⑤decreased left atrium and the left ventricle size, ⑥shifting of interventricular septum to the left and posterior direction,⑦The lateral lung parenchyma demonstrated in a triangular shape, ⑧pleural effusion and ⑨pericardiacle effusion. Conclusions The diagnosis of PE was revealed by 10 radiological signs by contrast-enhanced CT:With full understanding of the pathophysiological basis of these 10 signs:correct diagnosis of pulmonary embolism can be made.PE is commonly caused by lower limb.
