| 1 | Microglia-Derived NLRP3 Activation Mediates the Pressor Effect of Prorenin in the Rostral Ventrolateral Medulla of Stress-Induced Hypertensive Rats显示文摘Increased microglial activation and neuroinflammation within autonomic brain regions such as the rostral ventrolateral medulla(RVLM)have been implicated in stress-induced hypertension(SIH).Prorenin,a member of the brain renin-angiotensin system(RAS),can directly activate microglia.The present study aimed to investigate the effects of prorenin on microglial activation in the RVLM of SIH rats.Rats were subjected to intermittent electric foot-shocks plus noise,this stress was administered for 2 h twice daily for 15 consecutive days,and mean arterial pressure(MAP)and renal sympathetic nerve activity(RSNA)were monitored.The results showed that MAP and RSNA were augmented,and this paralleled increased pro-inflammatory phenotype(M1)switching.Prorenin and its receptor(PRR)expression and the NLR family pyrin domain containing 3(NLRP3)activation were increased in RVLM of SIH rats.In addition,PLX5622(a microglial depletion agent),MCC950(a NLRP3 inhibitor),and/or PRO20(a(Pro)renin receptor antagonist)had antihypertensive effects in the rats.The NLRP3 expression in the RVLM was decreased in SIH rats treated with PLX5622.Mito-tracker staining showed translocation of NLRP3 from mitochondria to the cytoplasm in proreninstimulated microglia.Prorenin increased the ROS-triggering M1 phenotype-switching and NLRP3 activation,while MCC950 decreased the M1 polarization.In conclusion,upregulated prorenin in the RVLM may be involved in the pathogenesis of SIH,mediated by activation of the microglia-derived NLRP3 inflammasome.The link between prorenin and NLRP3 in microglia provides insights for the treatment of stress-related hypertension. | Li Hu Shutian Zhang Kokwin Ooi Xuehai Wu Jiaxiang Wu Jian Cai Yinggang Sun Jijiang Wang Danian Zhu Fuxue Chen Chunmei Xia | 2020 | Neuroscience Bulletin2020,36,5: | 3 |

| 3 | Waveband Selection with Equivalent Prediction Performance for FTIR/ATR Spectroscopic Analysis of COD in Sugar Refinery Waste Water显示文摘The level of chemical oxygen demand(COD)is an important index to evaluate whether sewage meets the discharge requirements,so corresponding tests should be carried out before discharge.Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and attenuated total reflectance(ATR)can detect COD in sewage effectively,which has advantages over conventional chemical analysis methods.And the selection of characteristic bands was one of the key links in the application of FTIR/ATR spectroscopy.In this work,based on the moving window partial least-squares(MWPLS)regression to select a characteristic wavelength,a method of equivalent wavelength selection was proposed combining with paired t-test equivalent concept.The results showed that the prediction effect of the selected wavelength was very close to that of the MWPLS method,while the number of wavelength points was much smaller.SEPAve,RP,Ave,SEPStd,and RP,Std which characterized the modeling effect were 26.3 mg L^-1,0.969,3.49 mg L^-1,and 0.006,respectively.The validation effect V-SEP and V-RP were 28.64 mg L^-1 and 0.960,respectively.The selected waveband was between 1809 cm^-1 and 1568 cm^-1.The method was of more reference value for the design of FTIR/ATR spectral instrument for COD detection. | Jun Xie Dapeng Sun Jiaxiang Cai Fuhong Cai | 2019 | Computers, Materials & Continua2019,,5: | 1 |

| 6 | Digitally tunable optical delay line based on thinfilm lithium niobate featuring high switching speed and low optical loss显示文摘A tunable optical delay line(ODL) featuring high switching speed and low optical loss is highly desirable in many fields. Here, based on the thin-film lithium niobate platform, we demonstrate a digitally tunable on-chip ODL that includes five Mach–Zehnder interferometer optical switches, four flip-chip photodetectors, and four delayline waveguides. The proposed optical switches can achieve a switching speed of 13 ns and an extinction ratio of34.9 dB. Using a modified Euler-bend-based spiral structure, the proposed delay-line waveguide can simultaneously achieve a small footprint and low optical propagation loss. | 8 | Crystallization thermodynamics of 2,4(5)-dinitroimidazole in eleven pure solvents显示文摘2,4(5)-Dinitroimidazole(2,4(5)-DNI) is an important energetic material, and it is also an important precursor for the preparation of drugs and energetic materials. In this study, the solubility of 2,4(5)-DNI in eleven pure solvents(chlorobenzene, benzene, 1,2-dichloroethane, toluene, water, isopropyl alcohol,ethyl acetate, acetonitrile, methanol, 1,4-dioxane and acetone) were measured by using a dynamic test method from 278.15 K to 323.15 K under 101.1 kPa. Four solubility models were used to fit the experimental data, which were ideal model, modified Apelblat equation, polynomial empirical equation, and λh equation. Meanwhile, the relative average deviation and root-mean-square deviation between the experimental data and the fitted data were also calculated. | 10 | Factorial design analytics on effects of material parameter uncertainties in multiphysics modeling of additive manufacturing显示文摘A bottleneck in Laser Powder Bed Fusion(L-PBF)metal additive manufacturing(AM)is the quality inconsistency of its products.To address this issue without costly experimentation,computational multi-physics modeling has been used,but the effectiveness is limited by parameter uncertainties and their interactions.We propose a full factorial design and variable selection approach for the analytics of main and interaction effects arising from material parameter uncertainties in multi-physics models.Data is collected from high-fidelity thermal-fluid simulations based on a 2-level full factorial design for 5 selected material parameters.Crucial physical phenomena of the L-PBF process are analyzed to extract physics-based domain knowledge,which are used to establish a validation checkpoint for our study.Initial data visualization with half-normal probability plots,interaction plots and standard deviation plots,is used to assess if the checkpoint is being met.We then apply the combination of best subset selection and the LASSO method on multiple linear regression models for comprehensive variable selection.Analytics yield statistically and phyiscally validated findings with practical implications,emphasizing the importance of parameter interactions under uncertainty,and their relation to the underlying physics of L-PBF. | Amanda Giam Fan Chen Jiaxiang Cai Wentao Yan | 2023 | npj Computational Materials2023,,1: | 0 |
