| 3 | Soil and altitude drive diversity and functioning of Brazilian Páramos(campo de altitude)显示文摘Aims the vegetation on Brazilian Páramos consists of assemblages that are driven mainly by the influence of strong environmental filtering.It is very important to understand the effect of environmental varia-tion on taxonomic diversity and on functional diversity.considering the lack of information about the functional diversity in Brazilian Páramos,we analyzed for the first time the effects of altitude and edaphic attributes on functional traits,as well as on taxonomic and functional diversity.We also wanted to answer the questions:Which ecological strategies are favorable in high-altitude grassland?Does soil attributes determine distributions of traits in high-altitude grassland?considering the studied altitudinal gradient is altitude an important variable in the community assembly?Methods the study was conducted on three mountains:Mammoth(1850 m),Elephant(1790 m)and totem(1690 m)in Serra do Brigadeiro State Park,Minas Gerais State,Brazil.those mountains represent the‘Serra das cabeças’,a smaller ridge that is surrounded by the Atlantic Forest,one of the 25 hotspot of biodiversity.the samples were taken using 100 plots of 1 m2 per mountain that were randomly distributed.All plants except mosses were sampled.the taxonomic diversity was evaluated using richness,Shannon diversity,effective number of species and Pielou evenness.For the functional diver-sity,we considered the functional richness,functional evenness and functional divergence.Generalized linear models(GLM/Poisson and quasi-Poisson)were used to evaluate the effect of abiotic variables(altitude,soil depth and soil chemical attributes)on biotic variables(number of species and individuals,life form,dispersal and fruit type)and ordinary least squares regression to evaluate the effect of abiotic variables on the functional and taxonomic diversity.Important Findingsthe soil variables presented a considerable edaphic gradient associated with altitude.the soil in Serra das cabeças plays an important role for the plant diversity:richness and diversity index were positively related with fertility.With regard to the life form,nanophanerophytes tended to increase with altitude and soil depth,while therophytes tended to decrease with altitude.the dispersal type was also associated with the abiotic variables:autochory decreases with altitude,while zoochory increases.Functional richness increases with fertility and the functional evenness with altitude.the studied gradient showed that altitude is working as a filter for functional traits and indices and is,together with soil attributes,an important determinant for the distribution of plants on Brazilian Páramos. | Andreza Viana Neri Gladson Ramon Alves Borges João Augusto Alves Meira-Neto Luiz Fernando Silva Magnago Ian Michael Trotter Carlos Ernesto GRSchaefer Stefan Porembski | 2017 | Journal of Plant Ecology2017，10，5： | 1 |

| 5 | Descriptive Study:Congenital Malformations in Pediatric Patients of a Public Maternity Hospital of the City of Manaus,Amazonas显示文摘The Pan American Health Organization(PAHO)defines congenital malformation as any functional or structural anomaly in the development of the fetus,due to factors originating before birth,whether genetic,environmental or unknown.The aim of the present study was to identify the frequency of malformations,the type of congenital malformations and to correlate this with risk factors in live-born infants,using SLB data.The data were collected through consultation of the medical records of live-born infants of the Balbina Mestrinho Maternity Hospital,15,621 live births were reported,of which 248(1.58%)presented congenital malformations.There was a higher prevalence of malformations among live-born males(49.7%),with Apgar≥7 at the first and fifth minute,gestational age ranging from 37-41 weeks,with 46%being born with appropriate weight between 3,000-4,000 g.The association of two or more defects was observed in 38.7%of the total cases and isolated anomalies in 67.3%,with predominance of alterations of the digestive system(26.3%),followed by malformations of the musculoskeletal system(21.2%),nervous system(20.2%)and cleft lip/cleft palate(9.1%).The results presented here may guide strategic actions to improve care for families of people with congenital malformations. | Cleiton Fantin Denise Corrêa Benzaquem Marcelo Lasmar Santos Carlos Augusto da Silva Araújo Júnior Lilian Barroso Carvalho Natanael Martins Gomes Larissa Nascimento Souza Gabriela Bentes Sousa | 2019 | Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology2019，7，4： | 0 |

| 8 | High chromosomal evolutionary dynamics in sleeper gobies(Eleotridae)and notes on disruptive biological factors in Gobiiformes karyotypes(Osteichthyes,Teleostei)显示文摘The order Gobiiformes is made up of more than 2200 species,representing one of the most diverse groups among teleost fishes.The biological causes for the tachytelic karyotype evolution of the gobies have not yet been fully studied.Here we expanded cytogenetic data for the Eleotridae family,analyzing the neotropical species Dormitator maculatus,Eleotris pisonis,Erotelis smaragdus,and Guavina guavina.In addition,a meta-analytical approach was followed for elucidating the karyotype diversification versus biological aspects(habitat and egg type)of the Gobiiformes.The species E.smaragdus and E.pisonis present 2n=46 acrocentric chromosomes(NF=46),D.maculatus 2n=46(36sm+4st+6a;NF=86),and G.guavina,the most divergent karyotype,with 2n=52 acrocentric chromosomes(NF=52).Besides numeric and structural diversification in the karyotypes,the mapping of rDNAs and microsatellites also showed noticeable numerical and positional variation,supporting the high chromosomal evolutionary dynamism of these species.In Gobiiformes,karyotype patterns which are more divergent from the basal karyotype(2n=46a)are associated with characteristics less effective to dispersion,such as the benthic habit.These adaptive characteristics,connected with the organization of the repetitive DNA content in the chromosomes,likely play a synergistic role in the remarkable karyotype diversification of this group. | Simião Alefe Soares da Silva Paulo Augusto de Lima-Filho Clóvis Coutinho da Motta-Neto Gideão Wagner Werneck Félix da Costa Marcelo de Bello Cioffi Luiz Antônio Carlos Bertollo Wagner Franco Molina | 2021 | Marine Life Science & Technology2021，3，3： | 0 |
