Responses of Seed Yield and Economic Benefit of Winter Oilseed Rape(Brassica napus L.) to Different NPK Ratio and Dose显示文摘Field experiments were conducted during 2008-2010 to investigate the effects of NPK fertilization on seed yield and economic benefit of a new hybrid cultivar of winter oilseed rape(Brassica napus L.)- Xiangzayou763,and to determine the optimum NPK ratio and dose in Hunan,China. The results showed that NPK ratio(1:0.50:0.50) with 180 kg/hm2 N,90 kg/hm^2 P_2O_5 and 90 kg/hm^2 K_2O was the optimum combination for the highest seed yield(2 231.13 kg/hm2) and economic benefit(9 816.97 Yuan/hm^2),of which 1 641.23 Yuan/hm^2 being set for fertilizer investment(VCR=4.11).Besides,the effects of N,P and K fertilizers on seed yield and oil production of winter oilseed rape were not identical.N had the greatest effect on plant growth of winter oilseed rape, followed by P and K.Total leaf number, green leaf number, leaf length and width, rhizome diameter, branch number, dry weight per plant and other agronomic characters in high N treatments were higher than those in low N treatments.By correlation and path analysis of yield components, the contribution rate to seed yield was found:effective silique number per plant>seed number per silique>1 000-seed weight. | Yingzi WANG Chang TIAN Xuan ZHOU Wenming WANG Jianwei PENG Zhenhua ZHANG Haixing SONG Chunyun GUAN | 2015 | Agricultural Science & Technology2015,16,11: | 2
Improvement of microalgae lipid productivity and quality in an ion-exchange-membrane photobioreactor using real municipal wastewater显示文摘To improve the productivity and quality of microalgae-based biodiesel when using municipal wastewater(MW)as nutrients source,an ion-exchange-membrane photobioreactor(IEM-PBR)was used in this study to eliminate the negative effects of pollutants in MW on microalgae Chlorella vulgaris and Scenedesmus obliquus. In the IEM-PBR,the real MW and microalgae cultures were separated in two chambers by the ion-exchange-membranes(IEMs).Nutrients(N,P,etc.)in the MW permeated into microalgae cultures through the IEMs,while pollutants(suspended solids, competitors, etc.)in the MW could hardly permeate into microalgae cultures. As a result, the lipid productivity in the IEM-PBR was improved to 85.7 mg/(L·d)for C.vulgaris and 111.8 mg/(L·d)for S.obliquus, which was slightly higher than that in the traditional photobioreactor(T-PBR)with real MW after centrifugation(82.5 mg/(L·d)for C.vulgaris and 105.8 mg/(L·d)for S.obliquus),but much higher than that in the T-PBR with untreated MW and primary MW(with lipid productivity of 20-30 mg/(L·d)).Besides,the lipid quality obtained in the IEM-PBR had higher proportion of cetane number(ca.60%)and lower linolenic acid content(ca.8%),which showed a superior quality in the IEM-PBR to that in the T-PBR.It demonstrated that the IEM-PBR is an effective approach to improve the productivity and quality of microalgae biodiesel. | Chang Haixing Fu Qian Huang Yun Xia Ao Liao Qiang Zhu Xun | 2017 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,1: | 2

Solid-liquid-core optical fiber biosensor for highly sensitive and selective detection of 4-chlorophenol in water显示文摘A novel solid-liquid-core fiber-optic biosensor was fabricated for highly sensitive and selective detection of 4-chlorophenol in water. The sensor comprised horseradish peroxidase(HRP)-coated U-shaped liquidcore optical fiber(LCOF)and 4-chlorophenol permselective polymer membrane. The U-shaped LCOF was flled with ethanol suspension of SiO_(2)particles and the polymer membrane was composed of molecularly imprinted polymer, sulfonated polyethersulfone, and polysulfone. The morphology, composition, and surface luminous properties of the sensing region were examined. The effects of the diameter and content of SiO_(2)particles and temperature of 4-chlorophenol solutions on the sensitivity of the biosensors were investigated.Further, the sensitivity, selectivity, response time, and limit of detection(LOD)of the biosensors was investigated. In addition, the effects of fiber core materials on the light transmission in sensing region were investigated and a biosensor sensing model was established. The proposed sensor exhibited high selectivity for 4-chlorophenol with satisfactory sensitivity,LOD,and response time:-1.18(μg/L)^(-1),30μg/L,and 400 s,respectively. The results are expected to aid in the development of methods for enhancing sensitivity of fiber-optic sensors and surface luminous intensity of optical fibers. | Cangxu Feng Jianwei Zhang Chao Bian Linyang Li Rong Hu Haixing Chang Fei Peng Xiaofeng Peng Nianbing Zhong | 2023 | Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,12: | 1
Revealing the role of microalgae-bacteria niche for boosting wastewater treatment and energy reclamation in response to temperature显示文摘Conventional biological treatment usually cannot achieve the same high water quality as advanced treatment when conducted under varied temperatures. Here, satisfactory wastewater treatment efficiency was observed in a microalgae-bacteria consortia(MBC)over a wide temperature range because of the predominance of microalgae.Microalgae contributed more toward wastewater treatment at low temperature because of the unsatisfactory performance of the accompanying bacteria, which experienced cold stress(e.g.,bacterial abundance below 3000 sequences)and executed defensive strategies(e.g.,enrichment of cold-shock proteins).A low abundance of amoA-C and hao indicated that conventional nitrogen removal was replaced through the involvement of microalgae.Diverse heterotrophic bacteria for nitrogen removal were identified at medium and high temperatures, implying this microbial niche treatment contained diverse flexible consortia with temperature variation.Additionally, pathogenic bacteria were eliminated through microalgal photosynthesis. After fitting the neutral community model and calculating the ecological niche, microalgae achieved a maximum niche breadth of 5.21 and the lowest niche overlap of 0.38,while the accompanying bacterial community in the consortia were shaped through deterministic processes. Finally, the maximum energy yield of 87.4 kJ L^(-1)and lipid production of 1.9 g L^(-1)were achieved at medium temperature.Altogether, this study demonstrates that advanced treatment and energy reclamation can be achieved through microalgae-bacteria niche strategies. | Chaofan Zhang Xi Chen Meina Han Xue Li Haixing Chang Nanqi Ren Shih-Hsin Ho | 2023 | Environmental Science and Ecotechnology2023,,2: | 0
Photocatalytic synergistic biofilms enhance tetracycline degradation and conversion显示文摘Tetracyclines are refractory pollutants that cause persistent harm to the environment and human health. Therefore,it is urgently necessary to develop methods to promote the efficient degradation and conversion of tetracyclines in wastewater. This report proposes a photobiocatalytic synergistic system involving the coupling of GeO_(2)/Zn-doped phosphotungstic acid hydrate/TiO_(2)(GeO_(2)/Zn-HPW/TiO_(2))-loaded photocatalytic optical hollow fibers(POHFs)and an algalebacterial biofilm. The GeO_(2)/Zn-HPW/TiO_(2) photocatalyst exhibits a broad absorption edge extending to 1000 nm,as well as high-efficiency photoelectric conversion and electron transfer, which allow the GeO_(2)/Zn-HPW/TiO_(2)-coated POHFs to provide high light intensity to promote biofilm growth. The resulting high photocatalytic activity rapidly and stably reduces the toxicity and increases the biodegradability of tetracycline-containing wastewater. The biofilm enriched with Salinarimonas,Coelastrella sp.,and Rhizobium, maintains its activity for the rapid photocatalytic degradation and biotransformation of intermediates to generate the O_(2) required for photocatalysis.Overall, the synergistic photocatalytic biofilm system developed herein provides an effective and efficient approach for the rapid degradation and conversion of water containing high concentrations of tetracycline. | Chuanbao Xiao Jilin Yuan Linyang Li Nianbing Zhong Dengjie Zhong Quanhua Xie Haixing Chang Yunlan Xu Xuefeng He Min Li | 2023 | Environmental Science and Ecotechnology2023,,2: | 0
Recent advances in photoelectrochemical sensors for detection of ions in water显示文摘Over the last 50 years, the explosive adoption of modern agricultural practices has led to an enormous increase in the emission of non-biodegradable and highly biotoxic ions into the hydrosphere.Excess intake of such ions, even essential trace elements such as Cu^(2+)and F^(-),can have serious consequences on human health. Therefore,to ensure safe drinking water and regulate wastewater discharge, photoelectrochemical(PEC)online sensors were developed, with advantages such as low energy consumption, inherent miniaturization, simple instrumentation, and fast response. However, there is no publicly available systematic review of the recent advances in PEC ion sensors available in the literature since January 2017.Thus,this review covers the various strategies that have been used to enhance the sensitivity, selectivity, and limit of detection for PEC ion sensors. The photoelectrochemically active materials, conductive substrates, electronic transfer, and performance of various PEC sensors are discussed in detail and divided into sections based on the measurement principle and detected ion species. We conclude this review by highlighting the challenges and potential future avenues of research associated with the development of novel high-performance PEC sensors. | Linyang Li Junlian Chen Chuanbao Xiao Yihao Luo Nianbing Zhong Quanhua Xie Haixing Chang Dengjie Zhong Yunlan Xu Mingfu Zhao Qiang Liao | 2023 | Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,6: | 0
Phase-feeding strategy for Chlorella vulgaris to enhance biomass and lipid productivity显示文摘A phase-feeding strategy of nutrients based on requirements of Chlorella vulgaris in different physiological phases was examined to maximize the biomass and lipid productivity. This strategy includes reduction of duration in adaption phase(stage-I),enhancement of biomass in growth phase(stage-II)and improvement of lipid productivity in stationary phase(stage-III).The duration of microalgae in adaption phase was reduced from 52 h to 34 h at nitrogen and phosphorus feeding rates of 5.11 mg/(L·d)and 0.54 mg/(L·d),whereas the maximum biomass concentration during growth phase was improved to(4.03±0.25)g/L at nitrogen and phosphorus feeding rates of 20.04 mg/(L·d)and 4.21 mg/(L·d).In stationary and decline phases,a maximum lipid productivity of 132.30 mg/(L·d)was achieved when nutrients supply was stopped at 128 h,which was 28.86 mg/(L·d)higher than that when nutrients supply was stopped at 104 h.This multi-phase cultivation could be a promising strategy for simultaneous enhancement of microalgae biomass and lipid productivity. | Chang Haixing Liao Qiang Fu Qian Huang Yun Xia Ao Zheng Yaping Sun Yahui Zhu Xun | 2017 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,2: | 0
