1Stress Corrosion Cracking of X80 Steel in the Presence of Sulfate-reducing Bacteria显示文摘The systematic laboratory studies on the roles of sulfate-reducing bacteria(SRB) in the stress corrosion cracking(SCC) susceptibility of X80 steel subjected to cathodic potential have been conducted in a nearneutral pH soil solution by slow strain rate tests.The cathodic potential and SRB increase individually the SCC susceptibility of the steel in the soil solution.The positive role of the SRB activities in SCC susceptibility depends on the prolongation of pre-incubation time,and the SCC susceptibility of the steel increases under more negative potentials.What's more,the applied potentials and the presence of SRB work together in promoting the SCC susceptibility of the steel.But,the combined action becomes limited with decreasing cathodic potentials.The relationships between the plasticity loss and the permeable hydrogen concentration were established for the steel in the soil solution,regardless of under open circuit potential or cathodic potentials,in both the sterile and SRB inoculated conditions.The relationships are practically significant for the selection of safe cathodic protection(CP) potentials in the presence of SRB in soil environment.Tangqing Wu Maocheng Yan Dechun Zeng Jin Xu Cheng Sun Changkun Yu Wei Ke 2015Journal of Materials Science & Technology2015,31,4:11
2Impact of climate change on the streamflow in the glacierized Chu River Basin, Central Asia显示文摘Catchments dominated by meltwater runoff are sensitive to climate change as changes in precipitation and temperature inevitably affect the characteristics of glaciermelt/snowmelt, hydrologic circle and water resources. This study simulated the impact of climate change on the runoff generation and streamflow of Chu River Basin(CRB), a glacierized basin in Central Asia using the enhanced Soil and Water Assessment Tool(SWAT). The model was calibrated and validated using the measured monthly streamflow data from three discharge gauge stations in CRB for the period 1961–1985 and was subsequently driven by downscaled future climate projections of five Global Circulation Models(GCMs) in Coupled Model Inter-comparison Project Phase 5(CMIP5) under three radiative forcing scenarios(RCP2.6, RCP4.5 and RCP8.5). In this study, the period 1966–1995 was used as the baseline period, while 2016–2045 and 2066–2095 as the near-future and far-future period, respectively. As projected, the climate would become warmer and drier under all scenarios in the future, and the future climate would be characterized by larger seasonal and annual variations under higher RCP. A general decreasing trend was identified in the average annual runoff in glacier(–26.6% to –1.0%), snow(–21.4% to +1.1%) and streamflow(–27.7% to –6.6%) for most of the future scenario periods. The projected maximum streamflow in each of the two future scenarios occurred one month earlier than that in the baseline period because of the reduced streamflow in summer months. Results of this study are expected to arouse the serious concern about water resource availability in the headwater region of CRB under the continuously warming climate. 3A Layer-Stripping Method for 3D Near-Surface Velocity Model Building Using Seismic First-Arrival Times显示文摘In order to improve the efficiency of 3D near-surface velocity model building,we develop a layer-stripping method using seismic first-arrival times.The velocity model within a Common Mid-Point(CMP) gather is assumed to be stratified into thin layers,and the velocity of each layer varies linearly with depth.The thickness and velocity of the top layer are estimated using minimum-offset first-arrival data in a CMP gather.Then the top layer is stripped and the second layer becomes a new top layer.After removing the effect of the top layer from the former first-arrival data,the new first-arrival data are obtained and then used to estimate the parameters of the second layer.In this manner,the velocity model,being regarded as that at a CMP location,is built layer-by-layer from the top to the bottom.A 3D near-surface velocity model is then formed using the velocity models at all CMP locations.The tests on synthetic and observed seismic data show that the layer-stripping method can be used to build good near-surface velocity models for static correction,and its computation speed is approximately hundred times faster than that of grid tomography.Taikun Shi Jianzhong Zhang Zhonglai Huang Changkun Jin 2015Journal of Earth Science2015,26,4:6
4Cow, yak, and camel milk diets differentially modulated the systemic immunity and fecal microbiota of rats显示文摘Cow milk is most widely consumed; however,non-cattle milk has gained increasing interest because of added nutritive values. We compared the health effects of yak,cow,and camel milk in rats. By measuring several plasma immune factors,significantly more interferon-c was detected in the camel than the yak(P = 0.0020) or cow(P = 0.0062) milk group. Significantly more Ig M was detected in the yak milk than the control group(P = 0.0071). The control group had significantly less interleukin 6 than the yak(P = 0.0499)and cow(P = 0.0248) milk groups. The fecal microbiota of the 144 samples comprised mainly of the Firmicutes(76.70 ± 11.03%),Bacteroidetes(15.27 ± 7.79%),Proteobacteria(3.61 ± 4.34%),and Tenericutes(2.61 ± 2.53%) phyla. Multivariate analyses revealed a mild shift in the fecal microbiota along the milk treatment. We further identified the differential microbes across the four groups. At day 14,22 and 28 differential genera and species were identified(P = 0.0000–0.0462),while 8 and 11 differential genera and species(P = 0.0000–0.0013) were found at day 28. Some short-chain fatty acid and succinate producers increased,while certain health-concerned bacteria(Prevotella copri,Phascolarctobacterium faecium,and Bacteroides uniformis) decreased after 14 days of yak or camel milk treatment. 5Room temperature preparation of highly stable cesium lead halide perovskite nanocrystals by ligand modification for white lightemitting diodes显示文摘The poor stability of halide perovskite nanocrystals(NCs)has severely hindered future practical application.Herein,we proposed a facile and effective ligand modification route to synthesize stable CsPbBr_(3) nanocrystals by introducing a double-terminal ligand,namely 4,4'-Azobis(4-cyanovalericacid)(CA),to replace the conventional oleic acid(OA)ligand at room temperature.The as-synthesized CsPbBr_(3)-CA not only possesses high photoluminescence quantum yield(72%)related to the reduced trap defects,but also shows significantly improved stability exposure to water,ethanol,light,and/or heat benefiting from the CA ligand anchored to NC surfaces tightly.The photoluminescence intensity of CsPbBr_(3)-CA maintains about 80%and 75%of its initial emission intensity after immersed in water or ethanol for 360 min,respectively,whereas that of the CsPbBr_(3)-OA was quenched completely within a few minutes.Moreover,an all-inorganic white light-emitting diode(LED)covered 126%National Television System Committee(NTSC)standard and 92%Rec.2020 standard was fabricated by combining the green CsPbBr_(3)-CA and commercial red-emitting K2SiF6:Mn4+(KSF)phosphors onto a blue LED chip.Thus,the presented work initiates the development of the room temperature preparation of high quality CsPbBr_(3) and shows prospect for next-generation displays.Yu Zhang Guishun Li Changkun She Shaohua Liu Fangyu Yue Chengbin Jing Ya Cheng Junhao Chu 2021Nano Research2021,14,8:3
6The complete plastome of Panax stipuleanatus: Comparative and phylogenetic analyses of the genus Panax(Araliaceae)显示文摘Panax stipuleanatus(Araliaceae) is an endangered and medicinally important plant endemic to China.However, phylogenetic relationships within the genus Panax have remained unclear. In this study, we sequenced the complete plastome of P. stipuleanatus and included previously reported Panax plastomes to better understand the relationships between species and plastome evolution within the genus Panax.The plastome of P. stipuleanatus is 156,069 base pairs(bp) in length, consisting of a pair of inverted repeats(IRs, each 25,887 bp) that divide the plastome into a large single copy region(LSC, 86,126 bp) and a small single copy region(SSC, 8169 bp). The plastome contains 114 unigenes(80 protein-coding genes,30 tRNA genes, and 4 r RNA genes). Comparative analyses indicated that the plastome gene content and order, as well as the expansion/contraction of the IR regions, are all highly conserved within Panax. No significant positive selection in the plastid protein-coding genes was observed across the eight Panax species, suggesting the Panax plastomes may have undergone a strong purifying selection. Our phylogenomic analyses resulted in a phylogeny with high resolution and supports for Panax. 7Experimental Study of Influence of Fuel Ratio on Combustion Characteristics of Diesel-Wetted Wood Powder显示文摘In this study, experiments were conducted to examine the influence of the fuel ratio(i.e., the ratio of diesel mass to wood powder mass) on the combustion characteristics of diesel-wetted wood powder, in which 0# diesel and poplar wood powder were used and well mixed. The fuel ratios were set to 0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0. Fire behaviors, temperature distributions, mass loss rates, and CO concentrations were measured and analyzed. The results showed that because of the coupled effect of evaporation and the capillary force, the ignition point of diesel-wetted wood powder(less than 3°C) dropped dramatically as compared with that of pure wood powder(higher than 280°C) and pure diesel(higher than 107°C). At the early stage of combustion, diesel is lifted upwards by the capillary force, increasing both the concentration of diesel vapor and the temperature at the surface. When the surface temperature reaches that of the pyrolysis of wood powder, considerable pyrolysis gas emerges and combusts. As the flammable gas is consumed gradually, carbon combusts prominently when plenty of oxygen diffuses to its surface. Regarding the influence of the fuel ratio, the results showed that in cases with lower fuel ratios, the combustion was not self-sustainable. When the fuel ratio was relatively high, the temperature at the flame center was lower owing to incomplete combustion. More CO could be found in cases with higher fuel ratios in the early and late stages of combustion. 10Porous polybenzimidazole membranes with positive charges enable an excellent anti-fouling ability for vanadium-methylene blue flow battery显示文摘A cost-effective, high-performance and highly stable membrane has always been in intensively needed in aqueous organic-based flow batteries. Here we present a porous polybenzimidazole(PBI) membrane with positive charges that endow the membrane with a high rejection and an excellent anti-fouling ability for target organic molecule and asymmetric structure that affords a high conductivity for vanadiummethylene blue flow battery(V-MB FB). The morphologies and thickness of separating layer in particular of the porous PBI can be well adjusted by simply altering the polymer concentration in the cast solution and further afford the membrane with a controllable property in terms of both ion selectivity and ion conductivity. As a result, a V-MB FB assembled with a porous PBI membrane delivers a coulombic efficiency(CE) of 99.45% and an energy efficiency(EE) of 86.10% at a current density of 40 mA cm^(-2), which is 12% higher than that afforded by a Nafion 212 membrane. Most importantly, the V-MB FB demonstrates a methylene blue(MB) utilization of 97.55% at a theoretical capacity of 32.16 Ah L^(-1)(based on the concentration of MB in the electrolyte) because of the high ion conductivity of the membrane, which favors reducing the cost of a battery. 16Enhanced electrochemical performance of La_(0.6)Sr_(0.4)Co_(0.2)Fe_(0.8)O_(3−δ)cathode via Ba-doping for intermediate-temperature solid oxide fuel cells显示文摘La_(0.6)Sr_(0.4)Co_(0.2)Fe_(0.8)O_(3-δ)(LSCF)is recognized as one of the most promising cathode materials for the highly-desired intermediatetemperature solid oxide fuel cell(IT-SOFC)technology.However,it is still challenged by polarization losses due to reduced operation temperatures.In this work,a series of Ba^(2+)-doped La0.6-xBaxSr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3-δ(LBSCFx,x=0.05,0.10,0.15,and 0.20)materials are successfully synthesized and their electrochemical performances are evaluated as a cathode for IT-SOFC technology.The study shows that,compared to the un-doped LSCF,the Ba^(2+)-doped LBSCF possess higher electrical conductivities at 500-800℃ and display lower polarization resistances to oxygen adsorption/dissociation.As a result,the Ni-SDC|SDC|LBSCF0.20 cell(SDC=samarium-doped cerium,Sm_(0.2)Ce_(0.8)O_(1.9))delivers a high maximum power density of 0.704 W/cm^(2)at 750℃,which is>30%higher than the Ni-SDC|SDC|LSCF cell.This work reveals that Ba^(2+)-doping is effective in enhancing oxygen catalytic activity of LSCF-based cathode materials,demonstrating a new and commercial-feasible strategy in developing high performance cathode materials for the IT-SOFC technology.Changkun Cai Manyi Xie Ke Xue Yu Shi Shuting Li Yuanyuan Liu Shengli An Hong Yang 2022Nano Research2022,15,4:1

19A Simplified Model for SO_(2) Generation during Spontaneous Combustion of Coal Gangue显示文摘A simplified model for SO_(2) generation during spontaneous combustion of coal gangue was put forward and validated using the measured data.Using the proposed model,the effects of initial temperature inside the gangue and fresh air supply on SO_(2) generation were discussed.The results showed that,higher initial temperature inside the gangue could accelerate the oxidation rate of FeS_(2) and increase the maximum concentration of SO_(2).If initial temperature inside the gangue increased by about 37%,the total SO_(2) generation increased by 166%.Fresh air supply had less significant effect on the oxidation rate of FeS_(2).However,the higher the fresh air supply was,the more FeS_(2) could be oxidized,which ultimately produced more SO_(2).Although the computed results and the measured data concerning the inner locations inside the gangue had a certain degree of error,the proposed model can provide a relatively precise total release of SO_(2) within acceptable accuracy.Besides,this method provides a useful prototype to predict the generation of hazardous materials,such as CO,NO_(x),and chlorine during the spontaneous combustion of coal gangue.Ang Li Peng Lei Changkun Chen Tong Xu 2021Energy Engineering2021,118,5:1
