| 1 | Application of artificial intelligence in tongue diagnosis of traditional Chinese medicine:A review显示文摘Tongue diagnosis is an important process to non-invasively assess the condition of a patient’s internal organs in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)and each part of the tongue is related to corresponding internal organs.Due to continuing computer technological advances,especially the artificial intelligence(AI)methods have achieved significant success in tackling tongue image acquisition,processing,and classification,novel AI methods are being introduced in traditional Chinese medicine tongue diagnosis medical practices.Traditional tongue diagnose depends on observations of tongue characteristics,such as color,shape,texture,moisture,etc.by traditional Chinese medicine physicians.The appearance of the tongue color,texture and coating reflects the improvement or deterioration of patient’s conditions.Moreover,AI can now distinguish patient’s condition through tongue images,texture or coating,which is all possible increasingly with help from traditional Chinese medicine physicians under the traditional Chinese medicine tongue theory.AI has enabled humans to do what was previously unimagined:traditional Chinese medicine tongue diagnosis with feeding a large amount of tongue image and tongue texture/coating data to train the AI modes.This review focuses on the research advances of AI in TCM tongue diagnosis thus far to identify the major scientific methods and prospects.In this article,we tried to review the AI application in resolving the tongue diagnosis of traditional Chinese medicine on color correction,tongue image extraction,tongue texture/coating segmentation. | Zhao Chen Xiaoyu Zhang Ruijin Qiu Yang Sun Rui Zheng Haie Pan Yin Jiang Changming Zhong Chen Zhao Guihua Tian Hongcai Shang | 2021 | TMR Modern Herbal Medicine2021,4,2: | 2 |
| 2 | Evolution of Weyl nodes in Ni-doped thallium niobate pyrochlore Tl_(2-x)Ni_(x)Nb_(2)O_(7)显示文摘The magnetic Weyl semimetal(WSM)is important for fundamental physics and potential applications due to its spontaneous magnetism,robust band topology,and enhanced Berry curvature.It possesses many unique quantum effects,including a large intrinsic anomalous Hall effect,Fermi arcs,and chiral anomaly.In this work,using ab initio calculations,we propose that Nidoped pyrochlore Tl2Nb2O7is a magnetic WSM caused by the exchange field splitting on bands around its quadratic band crossing point.The exchange field tuned by Ni 3d on-site Coulomb interaction parameter U drives the evolution of Weyl nodes and the resulting topological phase transition.As Weyl nodes can exist at generic points in the Brillouin zone and are hard to identify exactly,their creation and annihilation,i.e.,the change in their number,chirality,and distribution,have been consistently confirmed with a combined theoretical approach,which employs parity criterion,symmetry indicator analysis,and the Wilson loop of the Wannier center.We find that Weyl nodes remain in a large range of U and are close to the Fermi level,which makes the experimental observation very possible.We think that this method and our proposal of magnetic WSM will be useful in finding more WSMs and add to the understanding of the topological phase transition. | Yuefang Hu Changming Yue Danwen Yuan Jiacheng Gao Zhigao Huang Zhong Fang Chen Fang Hongming Weng Wei Zhang | 2022 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2022,65,9: | 0 |
| 3 | Predicting Dirac semimetals based on sodium ternary compounds显示文摘Predicting new Dirac semimetals,as well as other topological materials,is challenging since the relationship between crystal structure,atoms and band topology is complex and elusive.Here,we demonstrate an approach to design Dirac semimetals via exploring chemical degree of freedom.Based on understanding of the well-known Dirac semimetal,Na3Bi,three compounds in one family,namely Na_(2)MgSn,Na_(2)MgPb,and Na2CdSn,are located.Furthermore,hybrid-functional calculations with improved accuracy for estimation of band inversion show that Na_(2)MgPb and Na_(2)CdSn have the band topology of Dirac semimetals.The nontrivial surface states with Fermi arcs on the(100)and(010)surfaces are shown to connect the projection of bulk Dirac nodes.Most importantly,the candidate compounds are dynamically stable and have been experimentally synthesized.The ideas in this work could stimulate further predictions of topological materials based on understanding of existing ones. | Bo Peng Changming Yue Hao Zhang Zhong Fang Hongming Weng | 2018 | npj Computational Materials2018,,1: | 0 |

| 5 | The research idea of Xuebijing injection in influencing severe pneumonia-pulmonary fibrosis with blood stasis syndrome evolution by inhibiting inflammation, endotoxin and dispersing blood stasis显示文摘Severe pneumonia is one of the most serious infectious diseases.Delayed intervention may lead to pulmonary fibrosis,which greatly threatens people’s life and health.Blood stasis syndrome is an important underlying syndrome throughout the evolution of severe pneumonia-pulmonary fibrosis.Xuebijing injection(XBJ)was developed under the theoretical system of“Three syndromes and three methods”,demonstrating a good efficacy in treating severe pneumonia and pulmonary fibrosis due to its effect of removing blood stasis and dispersing toxins.Previous studies have shown that XBJ can protect vascular endothelial function,improve coagulation function and regulate immunity by inhibiting inflammatory.Hence,the research hypothesis is put forward that XBJ treats blood stasis syndrome by removing blood stasis and dredging blood vessels,to inhibit the disease progress of severe pneumonia to pulmonary fibrosis.Further researches are need to confirm the function and explore the mechanism of XBJ. | Rui Zheng Chengyu Li Ping Wang Min Li Pengqian Wang Changming Zhong Jianxun Wang Hongcai Shang | 2020 | TMR Modern Herbal Medicine2020,3,2: | 0 |
