| 1 | Analysis of characteristics and mechanism of current system on the west coast of Guangdong of China in summer显示文摘On the basis of data of drifting bottles’ tracks and the current measured in anchored stations, as well as temperature and salinityobserved in cruise investigations and coastal stations, ADCP current data and AVHRR surface sea temperature (SST) data on thewestern coast of Guangdong, synthetic results of analysis showed that the coastal currents in the west of the mouth of the ZhujiangRiver were mainly westward in summer, which constituted the north branch of cyclonic gyre in the east of the Qiongzhou Straits. Partof its water flowed westward into the Beibu Gulf through the Qiongzhou Straits. The coastal current pattern was not identical with thetraditional current system which flowed westward in the Qiongzhou Straits in winter and eastward in summer. The summertime’ scoastal current was always westward, maybe temporarily turning northeast only when the southwest wind was strong. | 2 | Optimization and control of a reactive distillation process for the synthesis of dimethyl carbonate显示文摘Dimethyl carbonate is an environmentally benign and biodegradable chemical.Based on integration of reactive distillation and pressure-swing distillation technologies,a novel process for synthesis of dimethyl carbonate through transesterification with propylene carbonate and methanol has been developed by Huang et al.In this work,the optimization of this process was performed by minimizing the total TAC.The results show that the optimal design flowsheet can save energy consumption by 18.6% with the propylene carbonate conversion of 99.9%.Then,an effective plant-wide control structure for the process was developed.Dynamic simulation results demonstrate that the temperature/flow rate cascade control plus with simple temperature control can keep not only product purity but also the conversion of the reactant at their desired values in the face of the disturbance in reactant feed flow rate and feed composition. | Zhixian Huang Yixiong Lin Xiaoda Wang Changshen Ye Ling Li | 2017 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2017,25,8: | 8 |
| 3 | Preparation and shaping of solid acid SO_4^(2-)/TiO_2 and its application for esterification of propylene glycol monomethyl ether and acetic acid显示文摘The solid acid SO_4^(2-)/TiO_2 was prepared by immersion method and applied for synthesis of propylene glycol methyl ether acetate(PMA) through esterification reaction of propylene glycol monomethyl ether(PM)and acetic acid(HAc). The optimal catalyst preparation condition was determined by orthogonal analysis of parameters in a five-factor and four-level test. The obtained solid acid catalysts were characterized in detail by means of X-ray powder diffraction, thermogravimetry, pyridine adsorbed IR analysis, scanning electron microscopy, and BET surface area method. Synthesis of PMA was studied in this paper through experimental investigation of reaction conditions such as temperature, molar ratio of reactants, catalyst dosage and agitation speed. Based on its possible reaction mechanism, a pseudo-homogeneous kinetic model was established and its activation energies E_a^+ and E_a^-,65.68 × 10~3J·mol^(-1) and 57.78 × 10~3J·mol^(-1), were estimated. To prepare shaped solid acid catalyst SO_4^(2-)/TiO_2, the shaping method of impregnation–shaping–impregnation was applied. | 6 | Origin and evolution of ore-forming fluid for the Gaosongshan gold deposit, Lesser Xing’an Range:Evidence from fluid inclusions,H-O-S-Pb isotopes显示文摘Epithermal gold deposits are typical precious metal deposits related to volcanic and subvolcanic magmatism.Due to the lack of direct geological and petrographic evidences,the origin of the ore-forming fluid is deduced from the spatial diagenesis-mineralization relationship,chronological data,physicochemical characteristics of mineral fluid inclusions,mineral or rock elements and isotopic geochemical characteristics.By objectively examining this scientific problem via a geological field survey and petrographic analysis of the Gaosongshan epithermal gold deposit,we recently discovered and verified the following points:(1) Pyrite-bearing spherical quartz aggregates (PSQA) occur in the rhyolitic porphyry;(2) the mineralization is structurally dominated by WNW- and ENE-trending systems and occurs mostly in hydrothermal breccias and pyrite-quartz veins,and the ore types are mainly hematite-crusted quartz,hydrothermal breccia,massive pyrite-quartz,etc.;(3) the alteration types consist of prevalent silicification,sericitization,propylitization and carbonation,with local adularization and illitization.The ore minerals are mainly pyrite,primary hematite,native gold,and electrum,with lesser amounts of chalcopyrite,magnetite,sphalerite,and galena,indicating a characteristic epithermal low-sulfidation deposit.The ore-forming fluid may have been primarily derived from magmatic fluid exsolved from a crystallizing rhyolitic porphyry magma.Further zircon U-Pb geochronology,fluid inclusion,physicochemical and isotopic geochemical analyses revealed that (1) rhyolitic porphyry magmatism occurred at 104.6 ± 1.0 Ma,whereas the crystallization of the PSQA occurred at 100.8 ± 2.1 Ma;(2) the hydrothermal fluid of the pre-ore stage was an exsolved CO2-bearing H2O-NaCl magmatic fluid that produced inclusions mainly composed of pure vapor (PV),vapor-rich (WV) and liquid-rich (WL) inclusions with a small number of melt-(M) and solid-bearing (S) inclusions;mineralization-stage quartz contains WL and rare PV,WV and pure liquid (PL) inclusions characterized by the H2O-NaCl system with low formation temperatures and low salinities;(3) the characteristics of hydrogen,oxygen,sulfur,and lead isotopes and those of rare earth elements (REEs) provide insight into the affinity between PSQA and orebodies resulting from juvenile crust or enriched mantle.Combined with previous research on the mineralogenetic epoch (99.32 ± 0.01 Ma),we further confirm that the mineralization of the deposit occurred in the late Early Cretaceous,which coincides with the extension of the continental margin induced by subduction of the Pacific Plate beneath the Eurasian Plate.The formation of the ore deposit was proceeded by a series of magmatic and hydrothermal events,including melting of enriched juvenile crust,upwelling,the eruption and emplacement of the rhyolitic magma,the exsolution and accumulation of magmatic hydrothermal fluid,decompression,the cooling and immiscibility/boiling of the fluid,and mixing of the magmatic fluid with meteoric water,in association with water-rock interaction. | Yang Liu Jinggui Sun Jilong Han Liang Ren Alei Gu Keqiang Zhao Changshen Wang | 2019 | Geoscience Frontiers2019,10,5: | 3 |
| 7 | Novel multi–SO_(3)H functionalized ionic liquids as highly efficient catalyst for synthesis of biodiesel显示文摘Biodiesel is an attractive alternative to fossil fuels due to the energy and environmental concerns. In this paper, seven different multi –SO_(3)H functionalized ILs based on the low-cost less-substituted amines, which contained massive sites for functionalization of sulfonic acid groups and further treatment of sulfonate-based anions, were prepared as catalysts with high acidity and desirable catalytic activity for the synthesis of biodiesel from the esterification of oleic acid with methanol. The physicochemical properties of these acidic ILs were characterized by a variety of analytical techniques such as FT-IR, EA, TGA, and the Br?nsted acidity was well determined by UV–vis. Among the ILs prepared, [EDA-PS][P-TSA] showed the highest catalytic activity for esterification due to its high acidity and appropriate miscibility with reactants, with an ultrahigh97.58% conversion of oleic acid under the optimum conditions(i.e. reaction time, 1.8 h;catalyst amount, 3 wt%;alcohol/acid molar ratio, 13:1,temperature 70℃) acquired from the Box–Behnken response surface methodology. With the novel strategy of multi –SO_(3) H modification on ILs,our catalyst had an approaching or even superior oleic acid conversion rate compared to other reported catalysts with considerably lower catalyst dosage and shorter reaction time. | 19 | Comparison between bearing characteristics of pervious concrete pile composite foundations with different replacement ratios显示文摘The replacement ratio is an essential factor in evaluating the bearing capacity characteristics of compositefoundations. This study focuses on the bearing capacity of a pervious concrete pile with different replacementratios. The axial force, skin friction, and settlement were evaluated using a model test to assess the performance ofthe pervious concrete pile composite foundation. When the replacement ratio was reduced from 9.26% to 2.32%,the characteristic bearing capacity value was only 14%. Therefore, it may be unreasonable to use the settlementratio method to evaluate this composite foundation's bearing capacity in a model test. Appropriate loading cansignificantly improve the bearing capacity of a pervious concrete pile composite foundation with a lowreplacement ratio. The pile–soil stress ratio exhibited different decreasing ranges in the later loading stage. | 20 | Facile one-pot synthesis of a BiOBr/Bi_(2)WO_(6) heterojunction with enhanced visible-light photocatalytic activity for tetracycline degradation显示文摘Photocatalytic removal of tetracycline(TC)from the wastewater is of great value in the chemical and environmental engineering field.Here,we introduced a facile one-step method for the synthesis of BiOBr/Bi2WO6 heterojunctions by using cheap CTAB as the Br source.We showed the possibility of our method to fine-tune the content of BiOBr in the produced BiOBr/Bi2WO6 by simply changing the dosage of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTAB),providing a platform for the delicate tuning of the visiblelight absorbance ability of the composites.With a suitable heterojunction structure of BiOBr/Bi2WO6-0.2,it exhibited an ultrarapid photocatalytic activity towards TC(20 mgL^(-1)),with a competitive removal efficiency of 88.1%within 60 min and an ultrahigh removal rate of 0.0349 min^(-1).It could also be robustly recycled for at least 5 cycles with slight removal efficiency loss.We demonstrated that this exciting photocatalytic performance was due to the highly decreased recombination of photoinduced electrons and holes on our composites by constructing this heterojunction structure,and the resultingOH andO^(-)_(2)contributed to the effective degradation of TC to CO_(2). | Duanlian Tang Xiaoyan Chen Jiayan Yan Zhuo Xiong Xiaoyu Lou Changshen Ye Jie Chen Ting Qiu | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2023,53,1: | 0 |
