1Comparative transcriptome analysis uncovers the regulatory functions of long noncoding RNAs in fruit development and color changes of Fragaria pentaphylla显示文摘To investigate the molecular mechanism underlying fruit development and color change,comparative transcriptome analysis was employed to generate transcriptome profiles of two typical wild varieties of Fragaria pentaphylla at three fruit developmental stages(green fruit stage,turning stage,and ripe fruit stage).We identified 25,699 long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)derived from 25,107 loci in the F.pentaphylla fruit transcriptome,which showed distinct stage-and genotype-specific expression patterns.Time course analysis detected a large number of differentially expressed protein-coding genes and lncRNAs associated with fruit development and ripening in both of the F.pentaphylla varieties.The target genes downregulated in the late stages were enriched in terms of photosynthesis and cell wall organization or biogenesis,suggesting that lncRNAs may act as negative regulators to suppress photosynthesis and cell wall organization or biogenesis during fruit development and ripening of F.pentaphylla.Pairwise comparisons of two varieties at three developmental stages identified 365 differentially expressed lncRNAs in total.Functional annotation of target genes suggested that lncRNAs in F.pentaphylla may play roles in fruit color formation by regulating the expression of structural genes or regulatory factors.Construction of the regulatory network further revealed that the low expression of Fra a and CHS may be the main cause of colorless fruit in F.pentaphylla.Lijun Bai Qing Chen Leiyu Jiang Yuanxiu Lin Yuntian Ye Peng Liu Xiaorong Wang Haoru Tang 2019Horticulture Research2019,6,1:5
2Current Status of Human Papillomavirus-Related Head and Neck Cancer: From Viral Genome to Patient Care显示文摘Human papillomavirus(HPV)infection identified as a definitive human carcinogen is increasingly being recognized for its role in carcinogenesis of human cancers.Up to 38%–80%of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma(HNSCC)in oropharyngeal location(OPSCC)and nearly all cervical cancers contain the HPV genome which is implicated in causing cancer through its oncoproteins E6 and E7.Given by the biologically distinct HPV-related OPSCC and a more favorable prognosis compared to HPV-negative tumors,clinical trials on de-escalation treatment strategies for these patients have been studied.It is therefore raised the questions for the patient stratification if treatment de-escalation is feasible.Moreover,understanding the crosstalk of HPV-mediated malignancy and immunity with clinical insights from the proportional response rate to immune checkpoint blockade treatments in patients with HNSCC is of importance to substantially improve the treatment efficacy.This review discusses the biology of HPV-related HNSCC as well as successful clinically findings with promising candidates in the pipeline for future directions.With the advent of various sequencing technologies,further biomolecules associated with HPV-related HNSCC progression are currently being identified to be used as potential biomarkers or targets for clinical decisions throughout the continuum of cancer care.Haoru Dong Xinhua Shu Qiang Xu Chen Zhu Andreas M.Kaufmann Zhi-Ming Zheng Andreas E.Albers Xu Qian 2021Virologica Sinica2021,36,6:1

7Geochemical characteristics and diagenetic fluids of dolomite reservoirs in the Huanglong Formation, Eastern Sichuan Basin, China显示文摘Based on a comprehensive study of texture, diagenetic behavior and evolution of dolomite in the Huanglong Formation, trace(e.g., Fe, Mn and Sr) and rare earth element(REE) geochemistry, and isotopic characteristics(e.g., C, O and Sr), four types of diagenetic fluids are identified in the Huanglong Formation dolomite reservoirs of the Eastern Sichuan Basin, China: 1): marine-derived pore waters in the marine diagenetic environment, 2) sabkha compaction brine conserved in the early shallowburied diagenetic environment, 3) strongly-oxidizing low-temperature meteoric water in the seepagesubsurface flow diagenetic environment, and 4) strongly reducing deeply seated mixed hot brine in the middle and deep burial diagenetic environment. The fluids developed hereditarily from one environment to another, which resulted in its respective characteristics. Fluid characteristics play an important role in the development of dolomite reservoirs: 1) dolomitization by marine-derived pore water in the quasisyngenetic stage did not form an effective reservoir; 2) early diagenetic burial dolomitization by the sabkha compaction brine formed the basis for reservoir development; 3) meteoric water karstification in the paleo-epidiagenetic stage expanded both the distribution and the size of the reservoirs, and improved the reservoir quality; 4) deep-burial dissolution and tectonic fracturing in the reburial diagenetic stage further improved reservoir porosity and permeability.Wen Huaguo Wen Longbin Chen Haoru Zheng Rongcai Dang Lurui Li Yanan 2014Petroleum Science2014,11,1:1
8The Origin of Paleokarst in the Huanglong Formation of the Eastern Sichuan Basin:Evidence from δ^(13)C, δ^(18)O and ^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr显示文摘Karst rocks from the Huanglong Formation exposed at the margin of the Eastern Sichuan Basin can be divided into four types:slightly corroded, moderately corroded porous, intensely corroded brecciated and intensely corroded and replaced secondary calcic karstic rocks. The carbon, oxygen and strontium isotope compositions of the various karst rocks are analyzed systematically and compared to rocks without karst corrosion. The results indicate that(1) the Huanglong Formation in the eastern Sichuan Basin was a restricted bay supplied and controlled by freshwater in which mudmicrite and mud-dolomicrite exhibit low δ13C and δ18O values and high 87Sr/86 Sr ratios;(2) all types of karstic rocks in the paleokarst reservoirs of the Huanglong Formation in the research area are affected by atmospheric freshwater with the δ13C and δ18O values and 87Sr/86 Sr ratios in the original formation approaching those of atmospheric freshwater, which reflects ancient hydrological conditions, fluid properties, isotopic source and the fractionation effect;(3) the intensely corroded and replaced secondary limestone is affected by a variety of diagenetic fluids, often reflected by δ13C and δ18O values, while the 87Sr/86 Sr ratios exhibit the strong degree of the corrosion;(4) after comparing the 87Sr/86 Sr ratios of each type of karst rock, the diagenetic fluids are determined to be mainly atmospheric freshwater, and depending on the strength of corrosion, and the low 87Sr/86 Sr ratio fluids in the layer will participate in the karst process. 9Comparative metabolomics provides novel insights into the basis of petiole color differences in celery(Apium graveolens L.)显示文摘Plant metabolites are important for plant development and human health.Plants of celery(Apium graveolens L.)with different-colored petioles have been formed in the course of long-term evolution.However,the composition,content distribution,and mechanisms of accumulation of metabolites in different-colored petioles remain elusive.Using ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(UHPLC-MS/MS),1159 metabolites,including 100 lipids,72 organic acids and derivatives,83 phenylpropanoids and polyketides,and several alkaloids and terpenoids,were quantified in four celery cultivars,each with a different petiole color.There were significant differences in the types and contents of metabolites in celery with different-colored petioles,with the most striking difference between green celery and purple celery,followed by white celery and green celery.Annotated analysis of metabolic pathways showed that the metabolites of the different-colored petioles were significantly enriched in biosynthetic pathways such as anthocyanin,flavonoid,and chlorophyll pathways,suggesting that these metabolic pathways may play a key role in determining petiole color in celery.The content of chlorophyll in green celery was significantly higher than that in other celery cultivars,yellow celery was rich in carotenoids,and the content of anthocyanin in purple celery was significantly higher than that in the other celery cultivars.The color of the celery petioles was significantly correlated with the content of related metabolites.Among the four celery cultivars,the metabolites of the anthocyanin biosynthesis pathway were enriched in purple celery.The results of quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(q RT-PCR)suggested that the differential expression of the chalcone synthase(CHS)gene in the anthocyanin biosynthesis pathway might affect the biosynthesis of anthocyanin in celery.In addition,HPLC analysis revealed that cyanidin is the main pigment in purple celery.This study explored the differences in the types and contents of metabolites in celery cultivars with different-colored petioles and identified key substances for color formation.The results provide a theoretical basis and technical support for genetic improvement of celery petiole color.Mengyao LI Jie LI Haohan TAN Ya LUO Yong ZHANG Qing CHEN Yan WANG Yuanxiu LIN Yunting ZHANG Xiaorong WANG Haoru TANG 2022Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2022,23,4:0

12A mechanic insight into low-temperature catalytic combustion toward ethylene oxide over Pt-Ru/CuCeO_(x) bimetallic catalyst显示文摘The catalytic oxidation performance toward ethylene oxide(EO)and the consequent mechanism were investigated on the Pt-Ru/CuCeO_(x)bimetallic catalyst,which was prepared by a distinct method combining stepwise adsorption and subsequent impregnation.The catalytic tests show that the introduction of Ru into the Pt catalyst,so as to form Pt-Ru bimetallic active sites,can greatly increase the oxidation activity of the catalyst,as evidenced by the extremely lower full oxidation temperature(120℃)when compared with that of the Pt/CeO_(2) catalyst(160℃).The XPS spectra show that the Ru species(mainly RuO_(x))have strong interaction with the CuCeO_(x) support,which can therefore affect the electron transfer between the Pt species and the support.As a result,the oxygen activation on Pt species is obviously facilitated and catalytic activity is enhanced.Finally,in situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy(DRIFTs)was used to track the reaction mechanism.It is found that the catalytic oxidation process follows the MvK catalytic mechanism at low temperature and the L-H catalytic mechanism when the temperature moves to higher range.Wenxi Zhou Kai Chen Quanli Ke Haoru Wang Xiao Chen Yufeng Liu Guokai Cui Xiaole Weng Ying Zhou Hanfeng Lu 2023Journal of Rare Earths2023,41,6:0
