1Prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorder in China:A Nationwide Multi-center Population-based Study Among Children Aged 6 to 12 Years显示文摘This study aimed to obtain the first national estimate of the prevalence of autism spectrum disorder(ASD) in Chinese children.We targeted the population of 6 to 12-year-old children for this prevalence study by multistage convenient cluster sampling.The Modified Chinese Autism Spectrum Rating Scale was used for the screening process.Of the target population of 142,086 children,88.5%(n=125,806) participated in the study.A total of 363 children were confirmed as having ASD.The observed ASD prevalence rate was 0.29%(95% CI:0.26%-0.32%) for the overall population.After adjustment for response rates,the estimated number of ASD cases was867 in the target population sample,thereby achieving an estimated prevalence of 0.70%(95% CI:0.64%-0.74%).The prevalence was significantly higher in boys than in girls(0.95%;95% CI:0.87%-1.02% versus 0.30%;95%CI:0.26%-0.34%;P <0.001).Of the 363 confirmed ASD cases,43.3% were newly diagnosed,and most of those(90.4%) were attending regular schools,and 68.8% of the children with ASD had at least one neuropsychiatric comorbidity.Our findings provide reliable data on the estimated ASD prevalence and comorbidities in Chinese children.Hao Zhou Xiu Xu Weili Yan Xiaobing Zou Lijie Wu Xuerong Luo Tingyu Li Yi Huang Hongyan Guan Xiang Chen Meng Mao Kun Xia Lan Zhang Erzhen Li Xiaoling Ge Lili Zhang Chunpei Li Xudong Zhang Yuanfeng Zhou Ding Ding Andy Shih Eric Fombonne Yi Zheng Jisheng Han Zhongsheng Sun Yong-hui Jiang Yi Wang LATENT-NHC Study Team 2020Neuroscience Bulletin2020,36,9:158
2OsWRKY03, a rice transcriptional activator that functions in defense signaling pathway upstream of OsNPR1显示文摘WRKY family proteins are a class of plant specific transcription factors that involve in many stress response pathways. It has been shown that one Arabidopsis WRKY protein, AtWRKY29/22, is activated by MAP kinase signaling cascade and confers resistance to both bacterial and fungal pathogens. However, little is known about the biological roles of WRKY proteins in rice. In this study, we investigated the expression patterns of rice AtWRKY29/22 homolog, OsWRKY03, under different conditions, and also its possible role involved in plant defense. Our results showed that OsWRKY03 was up-regulated by several defense signaling molecules or different treatments. Further analysis revealed that the expres- sion of OsWRKY03 was light dependent. Transcriptional activation activity of OsWRKY03 was also demonstrated by yeast functional assay. Transient expression of OsWRKY03-GFP fusion protein in onion epidermis cells showed that OsWRKY03 was a nuclear localized protein. OsNPR1 as well as several other pathogenesis-related genes, such as OsPR1b, phenylalanine ammonia-lyase (ZB8) and peroxidase (POX22.3), were induced in OsWRKY03-overexpressing transgenic plants. 3Effects of dietary supplementation of probiotic,Clostridium butyricum,on growth performance,immune response,intestinal barrier function,and digestive enzyme activity in broiler chickens challenged with Escherichia coli K88显示文摘Background:Colibacillosis caused by enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli(E.coli) results in economic losses in the poultry industry.Antibiotics are usually used to control colibacillosis,however,E.coli has varying degrees of resistance to different antibiotics.Therefore the use of probiotics is becoming accepted as an alternative to antibiotics.In this study,we evaluated the effects of Clostridium butyricum(C.butyricum) on growth performance,immune response,intestinal barrier function,and digestive enzyme activity in broiler chickens challenged with Escherichia coli(E.coif) K88.Methods:The chickens were randomly divided into four treatment groups for 28 days.Negative control treatment(NC) consisted of birds fed a basal diet without E.coli K88 challenge and positive control treatment(PC) consisted of birds fed a basal diet and challenged with E.coli K88.C.butyricum probiotic treatment(CB) consisted of birds fed a diet containing 2×10~7 cfu C butyricum/kg of diet and challenged with E.coli K88.Colistin sulfate antibiotic treatment(CS)consisted of birds fed a diet containing 20 mg colistin sulfate/kg of diet and challenged with E.coli K88.Results:The body weight(BW) and average day gain(ADG) in the broilers of CB group were higher(P< 0.05) than the broilers in the PC group overall except the ADG in the 14-21 d post-challenge.The birds in CB treatment had higher(P < 0.05) concentration of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) at 3 and 7 d post-challenge,and higher(P < 0.05)concentration of interleukin-4(IL-4) at 14 d post-challenge than those in the PC treatment group.The concentration of serum endotoxin in CB birds was lower(P<0.05) at 21 d post-challenge,and the concentrations of serum diamine oxidase in CB birds were lower(P < 0.05) at 14 and 21 d post-challenge than in PC birds.Birds in CB treatment group had higher(P< 0.05) jejunum villi height than those in PC,NC,or CS treatment at 7,14,and 21 d post-challenge.In comparison to PC birds,the CB birds had lower(P < 0.05) jejunum crypt depth during the whole experiment.The birds in CB or CS treatment group had higher(P < 0.05) activities of amylase and protease at 3,7,and 14 d post-challenge,and higher(P< 0.05) activity of lipase at 3,7 d post-challenge than PC birds.Conclusions:In all,these results indicate that dietary supplementation with C.butyricum promotes immune response,improves intestinal barrier function,and digestive enzyme activities in broiler chickens challenged with E.coli K88.There is no significant difference between the C.butyricum probiotic treatment and the colistin sulfate antibiotic treatment.Therefore,the C.butyricum probiotic may be an alternative to antibiotic for broiler chickens.Ling Zhang Lingling Zhang Xiu'an Zhan Xinfu Zeng Lin Zhou Guangtian Cao An'guo Chen Caimei Yang 2016Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2016,7,1:43

6Evaluating effective swath width and droplet distribution of aerial spraying systems on M-18B and Thrush 510G airplanes显示文摘Aerial spraying plays an important role in promoting agricultural production and protecting the biological environment due to its flexibility,high effectiveness,and large operational area per unit of time.In order to evaluate the performance parameters of the spraying systems on two fixed wing airplanes M-18B and Thrush 510G,the effective swath width and uniformity of droplet deposition under headwind flight were tested while the planes operated at the altitudes of 5 m and 4 m.The results showed that although wind velocities varied from 0.9 m/s to 4.6 m/s,and the directions of the atomizer switched upward and downward in eight flights,the effective swath widths were kept approximately at 27 m and 15 m for the M-18B and Thrush 510G,respectively,and the latter was more stable.In addition,through analyzing the coefficients of variation(CVs)of droplet distribution,it was found that the CVs of the M-18B were 39.57%,33.54%,47.95%,and 59.04% at wind velocities of 0.9,1.1,1.4 and 4.6 m/s,respectively,gradually enhancing with the increasing of wind speed;the CVs of Thrush 510G were 79.12%,46.19%,14.90%,and 48.69% at wind velocities of 1.3,2.3,3.0 and 3.4 m/s,respectively,which displayed the irregularity maybe due to change of instantaneous wind direction.Moreover,in terms of the CVs and features of droplet distribution uniformity for both airplanes in the spray swath,choosing smaller CV(20%-45%)as the standard of estimation,it was found that the Thrush 510G had a better uniform droplet distribution than the M-18B.The results provide a research foundation for promoting the development of aerial spraying in China.Zhang Dongyan Chen Liping Zhang Ruirui Xu Gang Lan Yubin Wesley Clint Hoffmann Wang Xiu Xu Min 2015International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2015,8,2:18

9Effects of Low Light on Agronomic and Physiological Characteristics of Rice Including Grain Yield and Quality显示文摘Light intensity is one of the most important environmental factors that determine the basic characteristics of rice development. However, continuously cloudy weather or rainfall, especially during the grain-filling stage, induces a significant loss in yield and results in poor grain quality. Stress caused by low light often creates severe meteorological disasters in some rice-growing regions worldwide. This review was based on our previous research and related research regarding the effects of low light on rice growth, yield and quality as well as the formation of grain, and mainly reviewed the physiological metabolism of rice plants, including characteristics of photosynthesis, activities of antioxidant enzymes in rice leaves and key enzymes involved in starch synthesis in grains, as well as the translocations of carbohydrate and nitrogen. These characteristics include various grain yield and rice quality components(milling and appearance as well as cooking, eating and nutritional qualities) under different rates of shading imposed at the vegetative or reproductive stages of rice plants. Furthermore, we discussed why grain yield and quality are reduced under the low light environment. Next, we summarized the need for future research that emphasizes methods can effectively improve rice grain yield and quality under low light stress. 10Relationship between hepatocellular carcinoma and hepatitis B virus genotype with spontaneous YMDD mutations显示文摘AIM: To investigate the relationship between hepatitis B virus (HBV) genotype with spontaneous YMDD mu-tations and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in HBV-related cirrhosis. METHODS: We investigated 264 liver cirrhosis pa-tients who were not treated with antiviral drugs, in-cluding 81 patients with HCC. YMDD mutations were detected by fluorescent hybridization bioprobe poly-merase chain reaction (PCR) and melting curve assay using the Diagnosis Kit for HBV YMDD Mutation. Serum HBV genotypes were detected by real-time PCR using genotype-specific TaqMan probes. Statistical analysis was performed according to data type using the t test, χ2 test and unconditional logistic regression analysis. RESULTS: In the HCC group, genotype C strains, spon-taneous YMDD mutations, and genotype C strains with YMDD mutations were detected in 33 (40.74%), 13 (16.05%) and 11 (13.58%) patients, respectively. In the liver cirrhosis (LC) group, HBV genotype C strains,spontaneous YMDD mutations, and genotype C strains with YMDD mutations were detected in 33 (18.03%), 7 (3.83%) and 2 (1.09%) patients, respectively. The dif-ferences in genotype C strains, spontaneous YMDD mu-tations, and genotype C strains with YMDD mutations between the two groups were statistically significant (χ2=15.441, P=0.000; χ2=11.983, P=0.001; P=0.000). In the HCC and LC groups, there were seven patients infected by genotype B strains with YMDD mutations and 13 by genotype C strains with YMDD mutations. Further research revealed that HCC oc-curred in 2 patients infected by genotype B strains with YMDD mutations and 11 infected by genotype C strains with YMDD mutations. The difference was statistically significant (P=0.000). Unconditional logistic regres-sion analysis revealed that patients infected by geno-type C strains with spontaneous YMDD mutations had a 7.775-fold higher risk for the development of HBV-related HCC than patients infected by other type HBV strains (P=0.013, 95%CI: 1.540-39.264). 12Cross-reactivity of hypervariable region 1 chimera of hepatitis C virus显示文摘AIM: To analyze the amino acid sequences of hypervariable region 1 (HVR1) of HCV isolates in China and to construct a combinatorial chimeric HVR1 protein having a very broad high cross-reactivity. METHODS: All of the published HVR1 sequences from China were collected and processed with a computer program.Several representative HVR1's sequences were formulated based on a consensus profile and homology within certain subdivision. A few reported HVR1 mimotope sequences were also included for a broader representation. All of them were cloned and expressed in E.coli. The cross-reactivity of the purified recombinant HVR1 antigens was tested by ELISA with a panel of sera from HCV infected patients in China.Some of them were further ligated together to form a combinatorial HVR1 chimera. RESULTS: Altogether 12 HVR1s were selected and expressed in E. coli and purified to homogeneity. All of these purified antigens showed some cross-reactivity with sera in a 27 HCV positive panel. Recombinant HVR1s of No. 1, 2, 4, and 8# showing broad cross-reactivities and complementarity with each other, were selected for the ligation elements. The chimera containing these 4 HVR1s was highly expressed in E. coli. The purified chimeric antigen could react not only with all the HCV antibody positive sera in the panel but also with 90/91 sera of HCV -infected patients. CONCLUSION: The chimeric antigen was shown to have a broad cross-reactivity. 13Magnetic-dielectric synergy and interfacial engineering to design yolk-shell structured CoNi@void@C and CoNi@void@C@MoS_(2) nanocomposites with tunable and strong wideband microwave absorption显示文摘In order to effectively utilize the magnetic-dielectric synergy and interfacial engineering,in this paper,yolk–shell structured magnetic multicomponent nanocomposites(MCNCs)including CoNi@void@C and CoNi@void@C@MoS_(2) were produced in large scale by in-situ pyrolysis of cubic CoNi Prussian blue analogs(PBAs)followed by the hydrothermal process,respectively.Because of their unique structures,excellent synergistic effect between dielectric and magnetic loss,the as-prepared CoNi@void@C and CoNi@void@C@MoS_(2) MCNCs displayed very outstanding electromagnetic wave absorption performances(EMWAPs)including strong absorption capabilities,broad absorption bandwidth and thin matching thicknesses.Furthermore,the as-prepared CoNi@void@C and CoNi@void@C@MoS_(2) MCNCs well maintained the cubic configuration of CoNi PBAs even after the thermal treatment and hydrothermal processes.The unique structure and formed carbon layers effectively prevented the corrosion of internal CoNi alloy during the formation of MoS_(2),and CoNi@void@C@MoS_(2) MCNCs with different MoS_(2) contents could be synthesized by controlling the hydrothermal temperature.The obtained results revealed that the EM parameters,dielectric and magnetic loss capabilities of CoNi@void@C@MoS_(2) MCNCs could be tuned by controlling hydrothermal temperature and filler loading,which made their outstanding EMWAPs could be achieved in different frequency regions.Taking account of simple process,low density and high chemical stability,our findings provided a new and effective pathway to develop the strong wideband microwave absorbers.Chen Li Xiaosi Qi Xiu Gong Qiong Peng Yanli Chen Ren Xie Wei Zhong 2022Nano Research2022,15,7:11

15A heavy mineral viewpoint on sediment provenance and environment in the Qiongdongnan Basin显示文摘Based on heavy mineral data in core samples from eleven drillings, supplemented by paleontological, element geochemical and seismic data, the evolution of sediment provenance and environment in the Qiongdongnan Basin(QDNB) was analysed. The results show that the basement in the QDNB was predominantly composed of terrigenous sediments. Since the Oligocene the QDNB has gradually undergone transgressions and evolution processes in sedimentary environment from terrestrial-marine transitional to littoral-neritic, neritic, and bathyal roughly. The water depth showed a gradually increasing trend and was generally greater in the southern region than that in the northern region in the same time. With changes in sedimentary environment, provenances of the strata(from the Yacheng Formation to the Yinggehai Formation) showed principal characteristics of multisources, evolving from autochthonous source, short source to distant source step by step. During the Early Oligocene, the sediments were mainly proximal basaltic pyroclastic source and adjacent terrigenous clastic source, afterwards were becoming distant terrigenous clastic sources, including Hainan Island on the north,Yongle Uplift on the south, Shenhu Uplift on the northeast, the Red River System on the northwest and Indochina Peninsula on the southwest, or even a wider region. The Hainan Island provenance began to develop during the Early Oligocene and has become a main provenance in the QDNB since the Middle Miocene. The provenances from Yongle Uplift and Shenhu Uplift most developed from the Late Oligocene to the Early Miocene and gradually subsided during the Middle Miocene. During the Late Miocene, as a main source of sediments filled in the central canyon, the Red River System provenance added to the QDNB massively, whose impact terminated at the end of the Pliocene. 17Speciation and fractionation of heavy metals in soil experimentally contaminated with Pb, Cd, Cu and Zn together and effects on soil negative surface charge显示文摘Speciation and fractionation of heavy metals in soil subsamples experimentally loaded with Pb, Cd, Cu and Zn in orthogonal design was investigated by sequential extraction, and operationally defined as water soluble and exchangeable(SE), weakly specific adsorbed(WSA), Fe and Mn oxides bound(OX) and organic bound(ORG). The results showed that fractions of heavy metals in the soil subsamples depended on their speciation. About 90% of Cd and 75% of Zn existed in soil subsamples in the SE fraction. Lead and Cu existed in soil subsamples as SE, WSA and OX fractions simultaneously, although SE was still the major fraction. Organic bound heavy metals were not clearly apparent in all the soil subsamples. The concentration of some heavy metal fractions in soil subsamples showed the good correlation with ionic impulsion of soil, especially for the SE fraction. Continuous saturation of soil subsamples with 0.20 mol/L NH 4Cl, which is the first step for determination of the negative surface charge of soil by the ion retention method, resulted in desorption of certain heavy metals from the soil. It was found that the percentage desorption of heavy metals from soil subsamples depended greatly on pH, the composition and original heavy metal content of the soil subsamples. However, most of the heavy metals in the soil subsamples were still be retained after multiple saturation. Compared with the parent soil, the negative surface charge of soil subsamples loaded with heavy metals did not show difference significantly from that of the parent one by statistical analysis. 19Geochemical characteristics and their significances of rare-earth elements in deep-water well core at the Lingnan Low Uplift Area of the Qiongdongnan Basin显示文摘A geochemical analysis of rare-earth elements(REEs) in 97 samples collected from the core of deep-water Well LS-A located at the Lingnan Low Uplift Area of the Qiongdongnan Basin is conducted, with the purpose of revealing the changes of sedimentary source and environment in the study region since Oligocene and evaluating the response of geochemical characteristics of REEs to the tectonic evolution. In the core samples, both ∑REE and ∑LREE(LREE is short for light-group REEs) fluctuate in a relatively wide range, while ∑HREE(HREE is short for heavy-group REEs) maintains a relatively stable level. With the stratigraphic chronology becoming newer, both ∑REE and ∑LREE show a gradually rising trend overall. The ∑REE of the core is relatively high from the bottom of Yacheng Formation(at a well depth of 4 207 m) to the top of Ledong Formation, and the REEs show partitioning characteristics of the enrichment of LREE, the stable content of HREE, and the negative anomaly of Eu to varying degrees. Overall the geochemical characteristics of REEs are relatively approximate to those of China's neritic sediments and loess, with significant 'continental orientation'. The ∑REE of the core is relatively low in the lower part of Yacheng Formation(at a well depth of 4 207–4 330 m), as shown by the REEs partitioning characteristics of the depletion of LREE, the relative enrichment of HREE, and the positive anomaly of Eu; the geochemical characteristics of REEs are approximate to those of oceanic crust and basalt overall, indicating that the provenance is primarily composed of volcanic eruption matters. As shown by the analyses based on sequence stratigraphy and mineralogy, the provenance in study region in the early Oligocene mainly resulted from the volcanic materials of the peripheral uplift areas; the continental margin materials from the north contributed only insignificantly; the provenance developed to a certain extent in the late Oligocene. Since the Miocene, the provenance has ceaselessly expanded from proximal to distal realm, embodying a characteristic of multi-source sedimentation. In the core strata with 31.5, 28.4, 25.5, 23, and 16 Ma from today, the geochemical parameters of REEs and Th/Sc ratio have significant saltation, embodying the tectonic movement events in the evolution of the Qiongdongnan Basin. 20Hierarchical engineering of CoNi@Air@C/SiO_(2)@Polypyrrole multicomponent nanocubes to improve the dielectric loss capability and magnetic-dielectric synergy显示文摘Impedance matching characteristics and loss capabilities including magnetic loss,polarization loss and conduction loss are critical factors to improve microwave absorption performances(MAPs).To elevate these aspects,herein,yolk-shell structured CoNi@Air@C/SiO_(2)@Polypyrrole(PPy)magnetic multicomponent nanocubes(MCNCs)were designed and successfully fabricated in high efficiency through a continuous co-precipitation route,classical Stöber method,thermal treatment and polymerization reaction.The obtained results indicated that the formation of SiO_(2) effectively stabilized the cubic geometrical morphology and yolk-shell structure during the high-temperature pyrolysis process.The introduction of PPy greatly boosted their polarization loss and conductive loss capabilities.Therefore,the as-prepared yolkshell structured CoNi@Air@C/SiO_(2)@PPy MCNCs presented superior MAPs compared to CoNi@Air@C/SiO_(2) MCNCs.Furthermore,by regulating the content of PPy,the obtained CoNi@Air@C/SiO_(2)@PPy MCNCs displayed tunable and excellent comprehensive MAPs in terms of strong absorption capabilities,broad frequency bandwidths and thin matching thicknesses,which could be ascribed to the unique structure and excellent magnetic-dielectric synergistic effect.Therefore,our findings provided an alternative pathway to effectively utilize the magnetic-dielectric synergy and loss capabilities for the developing yolk-shell structured magnetic MCNCs as the strong wideband microwave absorbers.Qiqin Liang Lei Wang Xiaosi Qi Qiong Peng Xiu Gong Yanli Chen Ren Xie Wei Zhong 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,16:7
