1Aberrations of biochemical indicators in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis:a systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘Accumulating evidence has suggested that the pathological changes in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis(ALS)are not only confined to the central nervous system but also occur in the peripheral circulating system.Here,we performed a meta-analysis based on the PubMed,EMBASE,EBSCO,and CNKI databases,to find out biochemical indicators associated with energy metabolism,iron homeostasis,and muscle injury that are altered in ALS patients and their correlations with ALS phenotypes.Forty-six studies covering 17 biochemical indicators,representing 5454 ALS patients and 7986 control subjects,were included in this meta-analysis.Four indicators,including fasting blood glucose level(weighted mean difference[WMD]=0.13,95%CI[0.06-0.21],P=0.001),serum ferritin level(WMD=63.42,95%CI[48.12-78.73],P<0.001),transferrin saturation coefficient level(WMD=2.79,95%CI[1.52-4.05],P<0.001),and creatine kinase level(WMD=80.29,95%CI[32.90-127.67],P<0.001),were significantly higher in the ALS patients,whereas the total iron-binding capacity(WMD=-2.42,95%CI[-3.93,-0.90],P=0.002)was significantly lower in ALS patients than in the control subjects.In contrast,the other 12 candidates did not show significant differences between ALS patients and controls.Moreover,pooled hazard ratios(HR)showed significantly reduced survival(HR=1.38,95%CI[1.02-1.88],P=0.039)of ALS patients with elevated serum ferritin levels.These findings suggest that abnormalities in energy metabolism and disruption of iron homeostasis are involved in the pathogenesis of ALS.In addition,the serum ferritin level is negatively associated with the overall survival of ALS patients.Yangfan Cheng Yongping Chen Huifang Shang 2021Translational Neurodegeneration2021,10,1:2

5Genetic heterogeneity on sleep disorders in Parkinson’s disease: a systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘A growing amount of evidence has indicated contributions of variants in causative genes of Parkinson’s disease (PD) to the development of sleep disturbance in PD and prodromal PD stages. In this article, we aimed to investigate the role of genetics in sleep disorders in PD patients and asymptomatic carriers at prodromal stage of PD. A systematic review and meta-analysis of observational studies was conducted based on the MEDLINE, EMBASE and PsychINFO databases. A pooled effect size was calculated by odds ratio (OR) and standard mean difference (SMD). Forty studies were selected for quantitative analysis, including 17 studies on glucocerebrosidase (GBA), 25 studies on Leucine-rich repeat kinase 2 (LRRK2) and 7 on parkin (PRKN) genes, and 3 studies on alpha-synuclein gene (SNCA) were used for qualitative analysis. Patients with PD carrying GBA variants had a significantly higher risk for rapid-eye-movement behavior disorders (RBD) (OR, 1.82) and higher RBD Screening Questionnaire scores (SMD, 0.33). Asymptomatic carriers of GBA variants had higher severity of RBD during follow-up. Patients with PD carrying the LRRK2 G2019S variant had lower risk and severity of RBD compared with those without LRRK2 G2019S. Variants of GBA, LRRK2 and PRKN did not increase or decrease the risk and severity of excessive daytime sleepiness and restless legs syndrome in PD. 6Selective substitution induced anomalous phonon stiffening within quasi-one-dimensional P–P chains in SiP2显示文摘Light-matter interactions in low-dimensional quantum-confined structures can dominate the optical properties of the materials and lead to optoelectronic applications.In anisotropic layered silicon diphosphide(SiP2)crystal,the embedded quasi-onedimensional(1D)phosphorus–phosphorus(P–P)chains directly result in an unconventional quasi-1D excitonic state,and a special phonon mode vibrating along the P–P chains,establishing a unique 1D quantum-confined system.Alloying SiP2 with the homologous element serves as an effective way to study the properties of these excitons and phonons associated with the quasi-1D P–P chains,as well as the strong interaction between these quasiparticles.However,the experimental observation and the related optical spectral understanding of SiP2 with isoelectronic dopants remain elusive.Herein,with the photoluminescence and Raman spectroscopy measurements,we demonstrate the redshift of the confined excitonic peak and the stiffening of the phonon vibration mode■of a series of Si(P1−xAsx)2 alloys with increasing arsenic(As)compositions.This anomalous stiffening of■is attributed to the selective substitution of As atoms for P atoms within the P–P chains,which is confirmed via our scanning transmission electron microscopy investigation.Such optical spectra evolutions with selective substitution pave a new way to understand the 1D quantum confinement in semiconductors,offering opportunities to explore quasi-1D characteristics in SiP2 and the resulting photonic device application.Xueting Dai Feng Qin Caiyu Qiu Ling Zhou Junwei Huang Fanghua Cheng Xiangyu Bi Caorong Zhang Zeya Li Ming Tang Shengqiang Wu Xiaoxu Zhao Yangfan Lu Huiyang Gou Hongtao Yuan 2023Nano Research2023,16,1:0
7Strain engineering of anisotropic light-matter interactions in onedimensional P-P chain of SiP_(2)显示文摘Strain engineering can serve as a powerful technique for modulating the exotic properties arising from the atomic structure of materials.Examples have been demonstrated that one-dimensional(1D)structure can serve as a great platform for modulating electronic band structure and phonon dispersion via strain control.Particularly,in a van der Waals material silicon diphosphide(SiP_(2)),quasi-1D zigzag phosphorus–phosphorus(P–P)chains are embedded inside the crystal structure,and can show unique phonon vibration modes and realize quasi-1D excitons.Manipulating those optical properties by the atom displacements via strain engineering is of great interest in understanding underlying mechanism of such P–P chains,however,which remains elusive.Herein,we demonstrate the strain engineering of Raman and photoluminescence(PL)spectra in quasi-1D P–P chains and resulting in anisotropic manipulation in SiP_(2).We find that the phonon frequencies of SiP_(2)in Raman spectra linearly evolve with a uniaxial strain along/perpendicular to the quasi-1D P–P chain directions.Interestingly,by applying tensile strain along the P–P chains,the band gap energy of strained SiP_(2)can significantly decrease with a tunable value of~55 meV.Based on arsenic(As)element doping into SiP_(2),the strain-induced redshifts of phonon frequencies decrease,indicating the stiffening of the phonon vibration with the increased arsenic doping level.Such results provide an opportunity for strain engineering of the light–matter interactions in the quasi-1D P–P chains of SiP_(2)crystal for potential optical applications.Fanghua Cheng Junwei Huang Feng Qin Ling Zhou Xueting Dai Xiangyu Bi Caorong Zhang Zeya Li Ming Tang Caiyu Qiu Yangfan Lu Huiyang Gou Hongtao Yuan 2022Nano Research2022,15,8:0
8Effects of content and particle size of TiH2 powders on the energy output rules of RDX composite explosives显示文摘In order to improve the detonation characteristics of RDX,a RDX-based composite explosive with TiH_(2)powders was prepared.The effects of content and particle size of TiH_(2)powders on thermal safety,shock wave parameters and thermal damage effects of RDX-based composite explosive were studied with the C80 microcalorimeter,air blast experiment system and colorimetric thermometry method.Experimental results showed that TiH_(2)powders could enhance the thermal stability of RDX-based composite explosive and increase its ultimate decomposition heat.The content and particle size of TiH_(2)powders also had significant effects on the thermal safety,detonation velocity,shock wave parameters,fireball temperature and duration of RDX-based composite explosives.Furthermore,the differences of TiH_(2)and Ti powders on the detonation energy output rules of RDX-based composite explosives were also compared,showing that TiH_(2)powders had better influences on improving the explosion power and thermal damage effect of RDX-based composite explosives than Ti powders,for the participation of free H_(2)released by TiH_(2)powders in the detonation process.TiH_(2)powders have important research values as a novel energetic additive in the field of military composite explosives.Hao Wang Yangfan Cheng Shoujun Zhu Zihan Li Zhaowu Shen 2024Defence Technology(防务技术)2024,32,2:0
9Shock Initiation Experiments with Modeling on a DNAN Based MeltCast Insensitive Explosive显示文摘2,4-dinitroanisole(DNAN)is a good replacement for 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene(TNT)in melt-cast explosives due to its superior insensitivity.With the increasing use of DNAN-based melt-cast explosives,the prediction of reaction violence and hazard assessment of the explosives subjected to shock is of great significance.This study investigated the shock initiation characteristics for a DNAN-based melt-cast explosive,DHFA,using the one-dimensional Lagrangian apparatus.The embedded manganin gauges in the apparatus record the pressure histories at four Lagrangian positions and show that shock-todetonation transition in DHFA needs a high input shock pressure.The experimental data are analyzed to calibrate the Ignition and Growth model.The calibration is performed using an objective function based on both pressure history and the arrival time of shock.Good agreement between experimental and calculated pressure histories indicates the high accuracy of the calibrated parameters with the optimization method.Feichao Miao Dandan Li Yangfan Cheng Junjiong Meng Lin Zhou 2024Defence Technology(防务技术)2024,32,2:0
10Deflagration characteristics of freely propagating flames in magnesium hydride dust clouds显示文摘The flame propagation processes of MgH_(2)dust clouds with four different particle sizes were recorded by a high-speed camera.The dynamic flame temperature distributions of MgH_(2)dust clouds were reconstructed by the two-color pyrometer technique,and the chemical composition of solid combustion residues were analyzed.The experimental results showed that the average flame propagation velocities of 23μm,40μm,60μm and 103μm MgH_(2)dust clouds in the stable propagation stage were 3.7 m/s,2.8 m/s,2.1 m/s and 0.9 m/s,respectively.The dust clouds with smaller particle sizes had faster flame propagation velocity and stronger oscillation intensity,and their flame temperature distributions were more even and the temperature gradients were smaller.The flame structures of MgH_(2)dust clouds were significantly affected by the particle sinking velocity,and the combustion processes were accompanied by micro-explosion of particles.The falling velocities of 23μm and 40μm MgH_(2)particles were 2.24 cm/s and 6.71 cm/s,respectively.While the falling velocities of 60μm and 103μm MgH_(2)particles were as high as 15.07 cm/s and 44.42 cm/s,respectively,leading to a more rapid downward development and irregular shape of the flame.Furthermore,the dehydrogenation reaction had a significant effect on the combustion performance of MgH_(2)dust.The combustion of H_(2)enhanced the ignition and combustion characteristics of MgH_(2)dust,resulting in a much higher explosion power than the pure Mg dust.The micro-structure characteristics and combustion residues composition analysis of MgH_(2)dust indicated that the combustion control mechanism of MgH_(2)dust flame was mainly the heterogeneous reaction,which was affected by the dehydrogenation reaction.Qiwei Zhang Yangfan Cheng Beibei Zhang Danyi Li Zhaowu Shen 2024Defence Technology(防务技术)2024,31,1:0
