2A Discrete Element Analysis of the Sliding Friction Heat in High-Speed and Long-Runout Landslides显示文摘Earthquake is one of the main causes of high-speed and long-runout landslides.Generally,the heat generated in the sliding zone is significant in such devastating landslides.In this study,we establish a two dimensional slope model which includes 0.2 million elements to simulate the development of high speed and long-runout landslides using the discrete element software MatDEM.The model not only suggests that heat is produced by friction and fracturing,but also simulates the process of tension generation in cracks and the generation of a high heat zone near the sliding region.Besides,the heat field graph indicates a banded high heat belt that is related to the location of the thickest sliding body.The logarithms of the total calorific value and the highest value in the heat zone during the sliding process are linearly related to the logarithm of the landslide height.ZHU Yao ZHU Chengguang LIU Chun LIU Hui DENG Shang 2020Earthquake Research in China2020,34,1:3
3Molecular analysis of rice plants harboring a multi-functional T-DNA tagging system显示文摘About 25,000 rice T-DNA insertional mutant lines were generated using the vector pCAS04 which has both promoter-trapping and activation-tagging function. Southern blot analysis revealed that about 40% of these mutants were single copy integration and the average T-DNA insertion number was 2.28. By extensive phenotyping in the field, quite a number of agronomically important mutants were obtained. Histochemical GUS assay with 4,310 primary mutants revealed that the GUS-staining frequency was higher than that of the previous reports in various tissues and especially high in flowers. The T-DNA flanking sequences of some mutants were isolated and the T-DNA insertion sites were mapped to the rice genome. The flanking sequence analysis demonstrated the different integration pattern of the right border and left border into rice genome. 9Influence of resonator shape on nonlinear acoustic field in a thermoacoustic engine显示文摘The influence of the resonator shape on nonlinear acoustic field in a thermoacoustic engine is studied.The resonator of themoacoustic engine is boundary driving by a piston at one end,and the other end of it is rigid closed.A one-dimensional wave equation that accounts for gas dynamic nonlinearities and viscous dissipation in the resonator is established based on the governing equations of viscous hydromechanics.The nonlinear wave equation is solved using approximate Galerkin method.The nonlinear acoustic field in four different types of shaped resonators including hyperbolical,exponential,conical and sinusoidal are obtained and compared with that of a cylindrical resonator.It is found that the amplitude and waveform of the pressure are strongly affected by the resonator shape,the driving amplitude and the oscillation frequency of the piston.Waveform distortion,resonance frequency shift and hysteresis are observed,when the piston oscillation amplitude is large enough.The advantages of shaped resonator for thermoacoustic engine lie in inhibition of higher order harmonics and improvement of pressure ratio,etc.LIU Danxiao ZHOU Chengguang LIU Ke 2012Chinese Journal of Acoustics2012,31,3:0

11Temperature field test and prediction using a GA-BP neural network for CRTS Ⅱ slab tracks显示文摘The CRTS Ⅱ slab track, which is connected in a longitudinal direction, is one of the main ballastless tracks in China, with approximately 7365 km of operational track. Temperature loading is a very vital factor leading to slab track damages such as warping and cracking. While existing research on temperature distribution rests on either site tests in special environments or theoretical analysis, the long-term temperature field characteristics are not clear. Therefore, a long-term temperature field test for the CRTS Ⅱ slab track on bridge-subgrade transition section was conducted to analyze the temperature field. A GA-BP(genetic algorithm optimized back propagation) neural network was trained on the test data to predict the temperature field. The vertical and lateral temperature distributions in four typical days were carried out. We found that the temperature along the track was distributed in a nonlinear manner. This was particularly distinct in the vertical direction for depths of less than 300 mm. The highest and lowest daily temperatures and the daily range of the temperature were analyzed. With the increasing depth, the daily highest temperatures and range of the temperature were smaller, the daily lowest temperatures were higher, and the time corresponding to this peak value appeared later in the day. 12Bayesian network-based risk evaluation model for the operational requirements of the China Railway Express under the Belt and Road initiative显示文摘The operation of the China Railway Express features numerous links across several regions and countries. Effectively controlling therisks involved in the operation of the China Railway Express is crucial for ensuring safety and efficiency and promoting the sustainabledevelopment of the China Railway Express. The Bayesian network-based risk-management model was built corresponding to theactual operation of the China Railway Express;the model used an advanced risk-management theory. The sensitivity analysis of riskfactors and Bayesian network inference were realized using the expectation-maximization and clique-tree propagation algorithms.Using the risk-checklistmethod, 17 risk-related factors were analysed on 17 nodes of the Bayesian network fromthree perspectives—safety, efficiency and effectiveness—based on expert opinions and the actual operating conditions of the China Railway Express.Data from a sensitivity analysis and evidence inference of the Bayesian network model indicated that the sensitivity coefficients ofnodes N01, N04, N07, N08 and N17 of the network were high. Moreover, the risk-occurrence probabilities for nodes N01, N04, N06,N07 and N09 were higher in the case of reverse inference. Our results revealed the crucial factors influencing the risk. The identifiedrisk factors included the stability of the political environment in countries along the route, conditions of station infrastructures andthe complexity of the process of changing rails and reloading. Further, risk-management suggestions were provided. 13Regulating the interfacial charge transfer and constructing symmetry-breaking sites for the enhanced N_(2) electroreduction activity显示文摘The Haber-Bosch process for industrial NH_(3) production is energy-intensive with heavy CO_(2) emissions.Electrochemical N_(2) reduction reaction(NRR)is an attractive carbon-neutral alternative for NH_(3) synthesis,while the challenge associated with N_(2) activation highlights the demand for efficient electrocatalysts.Herein,we demonstrate that PdCu nanoparticles with different Pd/Cu ratios anchored on boron nanosheet(PdCu/B)behave as efficient NRR electrocatalysts toward NH_(3) synthesis.Theoretical and experimental results confirm that the highly efficient NH_(3) synthesis can be achieved by regulating the charge transfer between interfaces and forming a symmetry-breaking site,which not only alleviates the hydrogen evolution but also changes the adsorption configuration of N_(2) and thus optimizes the reaction pathway of NRR over the separated Pd sites.Compared with monometallic Pd/B and Cu/B,the PdCu/B with the optimized Pd/Cu ratio of 1 exhibits superior activity and selectivity for NH_(3) synthesis.This study provides new insight into developing efficient catalysts for small energy molecule catalytic conversion via regulating the charge transfer between interfaces and constructing symmetry-breaking sites.Xiaoxue Zhang Yuehan Cao Zhen-Feng Huang Shishi Zhang Chengguang Liu Lun Pan Chengxiang Shi Xiangwen Zhang Ying Zhou Guidong Yang Ji-Jun Zou 2023Carbon Energy2023,5,2:0
