| 3 | Seroprevalence of anti-HAV among patients with chronic viral liver disease显示文摘AIM:To investigate the current seroprevalence of hepatitis A virus(HAV) antibodies in patients with chronic viral liver disease in Korea.We also tried to identify the factors affecting the prevalence of HAV antibodies. METHODS:We performed an analysis of the clinical records of 986 patients(mean age:49±9 years,714 males/272 females) with chronic hepatitis B virus(HBV) or hepatitis C virus(HCV) infection who had undergone HAV antibody testing between January 2008 and December 2009.RESULTS:The overall prevalence of IgG anti-HAV was 86.61%(854/986) in patients with chronic liver disease and was 88.13%(869/986) in age-and gendermatched patients from the Center for Health Promotion.The anti-HAV prevalence was 80.04%(405/506) in patients with chronic hepatitis B,86.96%(20/23) in patients with chronic hepatitis C,93.78%(422/450) in patients with HBV related liver cirrhosis,and 100%(7/7) in patients with HCV related liver cirrhosis.The anti-HAV prevalence according to the decade of age was as follows:20s(6.67%) ,30s(50.86%) ,40s(92.29%) ,50s(97.77%) ,and 60s(100%) .The antiHAV prevalence was significantly higher in patients older than 40 years compared with that in patients younger than 40 years of age.Multivariable analysis showed that age≥40 years,female gender and metropolitan cities as the place of residence were independent risk factors for IgG anti-HAV seropositivity. | 9 | Anaphylactic shock induced by polyethylene glycol after bowel preparation for the colorectal cancer surgery:A case report显示文摘BACKGROUND Polyethylene glycol(PEG)is widely used as an additive because of its hydrophilic and chemically inert properties.However,there are been increasing reports of PEG allergies,including anaphylaxis,although they are still rare.This case report aims to raise awareness,that the commonly used bowel cleansing agent containing PEG can cause serious allergic reactions.CASE SUMMARY Prior to surgery for sigmoid colon cancer,a 63-year-old man was prescribed a bowel cleansing agent containing PEG.Within 30 min of ingestion,he developed symptoms of anaphylactic shock and did not respond to initial intramuscular epinephrine injection.Under diagnosis of anaphylaxis to PEG,he was stabilized with fluid hydration and continuous norepinephrine infusion.CONCLUSION While allergic reactions to PEG are rare,they can be life-threatening.Therefore,it is crucial for clinicians to be aware of this possibility and to diagnose and resuscitate patients immediately. | Go Woon Park Nahyeon Park Jung Cheol Kuk Eung Jin Shin Dae Ro Lim | 2023 | World Journal of Clinical Cases2023，11，23： | 0 |
| 10 | Caenorhabditis elegans deep lipidome profiling by using integrative mass spectrometry acquisitions reveals significantly altered lipid networks显示文摘Lipidomics coverage improvement is essential for functional lipid and pathway construction.A powerful approach to discovering organism lipidome is to combine various data acquisitions,such as full scan mass spectrometry(full MS),data-dependent acquisition(DDA),and data-independent acquisition(DIA).Caenorhabditis elegans(C.elegans)is a useful model for discovering toxic-induced metabolism,highthroughput drug screening,and a variety of human disease pathways.To determine the lipidome of C.elegans and investigate lipid disruption from the molecular level to the system biology level,we used integrative data acquisition.The methyl-tert-butyl ether method was used to extract L4 stage C.elegans after exposure to triclosan(TCS),perfluorooctanoic acid,and nanopolystyrene(nPS).Full MS,DDA,and DIA integrations were performed to comprehensively profile the C.elegans lipidome by Q-Exactive Plus MS.All annotated lipids were then analyzed using lipid ontology and pathway analysis.We annotated up to 940 lipids from 20 lipid classes involved in various functions and pathways.The biological investigations revealed that when C.elegans were exposed to nPS,lipid droplets were disrupted,whereas plasma membrane-functionalized lipids were likely to be changed in the TCS treatment group.The nPS treatment caused a significant disruption in lipid storage.Triacylglycerol,glycerophospholipid,and ether class lipids were those primarily hindered by toxicants.Finally,toxicant exposure frequently involved numerous lipid-related pathways,including the phosphoinositide 3-kinase/protein kinase B pathway.In conclusion,an integrative data acquisition strategy was used to characterize the C.elegans lipidome,providing valuable biological insights into hypothesis generation and validation. | Nguyen Hoang Anh Young Cheol Yoon Young Jin Min Nguyen Phuoc Long Cheol Woon Jung Sun Jo Kim Suk Won Kim Eun Goo Lee Daijie Wang Xiao Wang Sung Won Kwon | 2022 | Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2022，12，5： | 0 |
