| 5 | Myofiber development during embryonic to neonatal development in duck breeds differing in muscle growth rates显示文摘Little is known about the muscle developmental patterns during embryonic to neonatal development in ducks.We investigated the developmental patterns in the lateral gastrocnemius muscles of Gaoyou and Jinding ducks differing in their muscle growth rates during the final stages of egg incubation and the first week after hatching.Expression of the MyoD gene was quantified by quantitative real-time PCR(qRT-PCR).The average cross-sectional area and diameter of the fibers increased from embryonic day 21(E21),peaking at E27,and then declining slightly 7 d after hatching.The density of the fibers decreased initially but increased after hatching in both breeds and sexes.The within-breed variation in muscle fiber-type composition was greater than the average variation between the breeds.Overall,the percentage of type Ⅰ fibers increased and that of type lIb fibers decreased consistently.However,the percentage of type lla fibers was almost constant as development proceeded in both duck breeds.The profiles of MyoD mRNA expression were similar in both breeds,and a significantly positive relationship was observed between the expression of MyoD and the percentage of type lIb fibers.This study firstly revealed the characteristics of duck muscle development and differences between the two breeds differing in growth rates.Moreover,type lIb fibers might convert to type Ⅰ fibers in the lateral gastrocnemius,while MyoD may potentially function in controlling the muscle fiber phenotype during the secondary myogenesis of muscle development. | LI Hui-fang SHU Jing-ting SHAN Yan-ju CHEN Wen-feng SONG Chi XU Wen-juan | 2016 | Journal of Integrative Agriculture2016，15，2： | 4 |

| 7 | Antithymocyte globulin/antilymphocyte globulin plus kidney-nourishing Chinese Medicinal:effect on severe aplastic anemia显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To explore the effect of antithymocyte globulin(ATG)/antilymphocyte globulin(ALG) plus kidney-nourishing Chinese medicinal(KNCM) on severe aplastic anemia(SAA).METHODS:Twenty-five subjects of severe aplastic anemia were treated with ATG/ALD plus KNCM between 1992 and 2009,and the clinical data before and after treatment were collected and analyzed.RESULTS:Of the 25 patients,9 were nearly cured,6 were improved,5 were in remission,and 5 failed.The overall effective rate was 80.0%.The 3-year,5-year,10-year,15-year survival rate were respectively 98.6%,97.3%,97.3%,67.5%,and median survival time was 180 months.Compared to the conditions before administering the medication of ATG/ALG plus KNCM,after 2 weeks,reticulocyte was first improved(P=0.001);one month later,followed by palette(P=0.037);two months later,by neutrophil cell in peripheral blood(P=0.001);three months later,then by the hemoglobin(P=0.012).By conducting 1-year follow-up,1 case of complication-paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria(PNH) was identified and the patient still alive today.CONCLUSION:ATG/ALG plus KNCM had better effect on SAA and could improve patients' survival rate. | Xudong Tang Feng Liu Liu Li Chi Liu Shanshan Zhang Haiyan Xiao Chunmei Zheng Shu Xu Rou Ma | 2012 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2012，32，4： | 3 |
| 8 | Semi-enclosed experimental system for coal spontaneous combustion for determining regional distribution of high-temperature zone of coal fire显示文摘Temperature variation and gas generation at diferent depths and positions in the coal combustion process were studied to determine the propagation and evolution of high temperature regions in the process of coal spontaneous combustion.This study selected coal samples from Mengcun,Shaanxi Province,People’s Republic of China,and developed a semi-enclosed experimental system(furnace)for simulating coal combustion.The thermal mass loss of coal samples under various heating rates(5,10,and 15℃/min)was analyzed through thermogravimetric analysis,and the dynamic characteristics of the coal samples were analyzed;the reliability of the semi-enclosed experimental system was verifed through the equal proportional method of fuzzy response.The results reveal that the high-temperature zone is distributed nonlinearly from the middle to the front end of the furnace,and the temperatures of points in this zone decreased gradually as the layer depth increased.The apparent activation energy of the coal samples during combustion frst increased and then decreased as the conversion degree increased.Furthermore,the proportion of mass loss and the mass loss rate in the coal samples observed in the thermogravimetric experiment is consistent with that observed in the frst and second stages of the experiment conducted using the semi-enclosed system.The research fndings can provide a theoretical basis for the prevention and control of hightemperature zones in coal combustion. | Jingyu Zhao Hanqi Ming Tao Guo Yuxuan Zhang Jun Deng Jiajia Song Qiang Zeng Chi‑Min Shu | 2022 | International Journal of Coal Science & Technology2022，9，5： | 3 |

| 10 | Culture and Identification of Myoblasts Isolated from Duck Embryos显示文摘[Objective] Using embryonic myoblasts to research the formation and developmental mechanisms of skeletal muscle is becoming a research hotspot. This study aimed to establish a method of isolation, culture and identification of myoblasts in duck embryos. [Method] Pectoral and leg muscle samples were isolated from the embryos of Gaoyou duck at 13 d of hatching, then disassociated with collagenase and trypsin and purified via differential adhesion. The isolated cells were cultured in vitro and detected for the expression of Pax7 protein using immunofluorescence technique. [Result] Myoblasts were obtained successfully both from pectoral and leg muscles in duck embryos and these cells proliferated strongly and differentiated well. Immunofluorescence staining showed that more than 95% cells could express Pax7 protein. | 13 | Perihepatic nodes detected by point-of-care ultrasound in acute hepatitis and acute-on-chronic liver disease显示文摘AIM: To study the manifestations of perihepatic lymph nodes during the episode of acute hepatitis flare by point-of-care ultrasonography.METHODS: One hundred and seventy-six patients with an episode of acute hepatitis flare(ALT value > 5 × upper normal limit) were enrolled retrospectively. Diagnosis of etiology of the acute hepatitis flare was based on chart records and serological and virological assays. The patients were categorized into two groups(viral origin and non-viral origin) and further defined into ten subgroups according to the etiologies. An ultrasonograpy was performed within 2 h to 72 h(median, 8 h). The maximum size of each noticeable lymph node was measured. Correlation between clinical parameters and nodal manifestations was analyzed RESULTS: Enlarged lymph nodes(width ≥ 5mm)were noticeable in 110(62.5%) patients, mostly in acute on chronic hepatitis B(54.5%). The viral group had a higher prevalence rate(89/110 = 80.9%) and larger nodal size(median, 7 mm) than those of the non-viral group(21/66 = 31.8%; median, 0 mm)(P < 0.001 for both). Meanwhile, there were significant differences in the nodal size between acute and chronic viral groups(P < 0.01), and between acute hepatitis A and non-hepatitis A viral groups(P < 0.001). In logistical regression analysis, the nodal width still showed strong significance in multivariate analysis(P < 0.0001) to stratify the two groups. The area under the curve of ROC was 0.805, with a sensitivity of 80.9%, a specificity of 68.2%, positive predictive value of 80.92%, negative predictive value of 68.18%, and an accuracy of 76.14%.
